ABOUT LUTZENKIRCHEN...

Back to the beginning. Where everything started. Long nights, not much sleep.

Ideas were born from incredible experiences, then musically realized. Unforgettable moments which will stay with you forever and which will be revived after a creative pause.

The musical roots of Tobias Lutzenkirchen go back to the year 1992, where he appeared the first time on a record as a singer. His love for electronic music came to life when he was working for one year as a promoter on Ibiza in 1995.

He came back to Neuss in Germany in 1996, where he continued to work as a Singer and Songwriter in every possible musical realm but also started to learn the art of sound engineering as he was already touched by the late 90’s electronic music scene.

As a result, he evolved his first electronic tracks and experimented under different aliases just a year or two later, which resulted in a couple of chart successes 2001 and 2002.

Many, many aliases and projects later, Lutzenkirchen was born in 2005.

Continually striving to innovate and evolve his sound, you can always count on him to push things forward – rather than copying the latest hotshot or ripping off endless old records. He only began his DJ career in 2006, when the success of his productions began to bring booking requests from around the world and by 2008 he had switched to performing as a live-act for about two years.

These two years have seen him play on every continent at least twice, with 8 tours in Brazil alone. But whether he’s playing to 300 people in a sweaty provincial German nightclub, or to 30,000 on huge festivals, his enthusiasm and passion are still the same. Even after being 'on the road' for or over a decade.

He released on prolific labels like Mark Knights „Toolroom“, UMEKs “1605”, Spartaques “IAMT”, Cristian Varelas "Pornographic", major Labels like "Universal“ and of course "Great Stuff“, as well as on Martin Eyerers "Kling Klong“, Spektres "Respekt Records", Marco Baileys "MB Elektronics", "303 Lovers“ and much more.In fact way too many to list here.

He was also the head of “Platform B”, a musical platform for Munich´s newcomer artists, which still has a huge fan base for superb minimal and techno tracks which might be revived soon.

However: With such a massive output you sometimes need a break; a regenerating phase in which you retract yourself fully into thought. Especially after the huge German super hit

“3 Tage Wach” (Three Days Awake) which was one of the most successful songs in 2008. Getting tired from all the hype he switched from being a LiveAct back to DJing in 2010/2011 and in the middle of 2012, Lutzenkirchen arrived at a point where he nearly stopped his productions almost completely.

In the end, this time did him a power of good. He is back with more motivation and energy than ever before. His musical style is once again one step ahead of the time and massive new output has been collected, which announced a new-old Lutzenkirchen who is once more dedicated to the techno scene. Also, he will soon return to his trademark

“Lutzenkirchen Live” Setup which a lot of people still remember very well and will showcase his unique production skills to the crowds.

It is a return to the beginning; to the roots. Groovy and extreme danceable dirty Techno, with his typically trancy and housy elements in-between to spice things up even more. His music is heavily inspired by his journeys and from his experiences in cities like London, Detroit, Melbourne, Tokyo, Sao Paulo, Bogota, St. Petersburg, Helsinki, Stockholm, Paris, Mexico City, Barcelona, Medellin, New York, Hong Kong, Toronto, and Chicago.

His sound is diverse, energetic, pulsating, thrilling, high-q and unmistakable Lutzenkirchen

ABOUT LUTZENHOUSE....

While Lutzenkirchen has now once again a solid footing in the techno scene Lutzenkirchen felt that he always missed his house-sets and doing housier productions.

This is why he decided to split up himself into two main music categories. Production-wise and also DJing-wise.

So let us introduce you to Lutzenhouse. The debut EP is released on Yellow Tail (BluFin) and the first full DJ-Set will go online on Soundcloud in a couple of days as well. He'll keep you posted.

Lutzenhouse focuses on Classic House/Progressive House and Tech House. In the sets as well as in the productions.

We are delighted that this influential legendary artist Lutzenkirchen replied with so much unique way in our interview questions going deep to his first ever Lutzenhouse release.

Interview is written and conducted by Dimitris Kechagias, music journalist and radio host.

Dimitris: Did you had the opportunity to attend any kind of music production course or are u completely self taught? Do you consider that is essential for any artist to complete any production course?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: I am self taught. However I was taken under the wing of Ramon Zenker who showed me some production specific stuff early on. I think its more important to find someone with actual experience than a theoretical course.

Dimitris: In which label was your first ever release and how did you manage to attract the attention of the label?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: I just send a demo. My first release was 1999 I think. A vinyl release on Trance-Chip (where also Pulsedriver has started at the same time)

Dimitris: Can you pick for us your Top 5 tracks that you have produced and you consider them as being highly important for the progress of your career.

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse:

Daily Disco, Lutzenkirchen

3 Tage Wach

LXR - Massive Passive

Paffendorf - Be Cool (co-produced and lyrics)

 Lutzenkirchen - All that Jazz

Dimitris: Let's focus on your latest release Fus Do Rah EP as Lutzenhouse on Yellow Tail. Please tell us from where did you got the inspiration for the track and what kind of music influences is including?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: I always was split up between techno and house. In the DJ sets as well as in production. So this is now my house moniker and Lutzenkirchen will stay exclusively techno. This is more of a "business" decision Gig-wise.  Inspiration comes in all shapes and forms. Can't pin it down to something special.

Dimitris: How long it took you to produce it and was an easy or difficult process? If you have faced any difficulties please tell us about them and how did you resolved them?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: Can't remember. Usually

Dimitris: Which was the biggest challenge that you faced during the production of this superb track?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: None. When stuff is challenging I usually drop it. At least for a while then return to it on a later point. If its still challenging, I drop it completely.

Dimitris: When the track finished did the label accepted it as it was produced or did the label recommend you to do some changes or fix certain things?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: Accepted right away. They usually are.

Dimitris: Is this track an original composition or is it based on a template from another track produced from you or another producer?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: Original tracks. I do original tracks most of the time.

Dimitris: Is the quality of this track higher than your previous one? If yes in what ways this track sounds better than your previous one?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: Can't tell. Its hard to judge by myself as your own opinion often varies wildly from the general.

Dimitris: Do you have any friends or relatives that you send them the track before sending it to a label or if you are DJ did you test it in your gigs? If yes did you have to do any alterations as a result of the crowd reaction?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: No. When I send something to a label I am usually confident enough already. I don't need either supportive voices or people that might reduce my confidence. The answer from the label is all that is of interest to me.

Dimitris: Please describe to us the studio that you have produced the track? What is your favourite hardware and software set up? Do you have in mind any new gear that you wish to get in order to raise the quality of your production?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: Oh. Yeah, I have some gear/ I work with everything basically. I also switch DAWs/Sequencers all the time to keep my mind busy.

Dimitris: Do you master the track yourself or the mastering is task for the record label? Do you understand mastering as being essential?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: Depends. When a label has the money to spend for a good mastering studio I won't do it myself. Otherwise I will. Result is the same 50% of the time.

Dimitris: There is a growing trend of vinyl coming back for good. Would you like to see this track released on vinyl or any other of your future tracks? Do you prefer digital files or vinyl?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: Don't care. I played vinyl and now all the downsides. Don't think this "trend" will last.

Dimitris: Do you have any future releases as Lutzenhouse planned and when will be released?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: Yes. But this is the debut. I just finished the next EP and sending out Demos right now.

Dimitris: Can you note down your favourite Top 5 tracks at this moment!

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: None. I have no real favourites right now. Everything is kinda the same.

Dimitris: Can you tell us here your Top 3 best DJ gigs so far and the reasons that made them so special?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: I played hundreds if not more over all continents. Impossible to say.

Dimitris: Do you have any more DJ gigs planned for the next few months?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: Sure, I will be off to Berlin (GER) tomorrow, next week Augsburg (GER), then I think Switzerland or Austria and so on. Portugal is coming up as well next month and my schedule is rather busy.

Dimitris: Do you produce a radio show/podcast as well?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: No. I do sets for podcast regularly but don't have my own.

Dimitris: Best piece of advice you got in relation to your career so far and best tip you learnt recently to make your tracks better.

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: Finish your stuff... Don't have 100 started tracks lying around. FINISH your stuff.

Dimitris: Give us here your tips or more elaborated advice for any new artists who may read this interview and wish to get involved with the electronic music industry.

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: Be prepared to get f****d.

Dimitris: If you travel very often to perform  in various countries can you give us your best travel tips in order to survive the long travelling hours?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: These days its easy. Powerplugs and Internet access everywhere. Get a bunch of good movies and time will fly.

Dimitris: What is your opinion about retro events or stages only with classics ?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: Don't care about retro-events. Don't care that much about classics. Real classics to me presonally are found in a different category/style of music.

Dimitris: Please give us your messages for our readers?

Lutzenkirchen / Lutzenhouse: Stay real.

Thanks so much to Tobias for his answer on this interview.

Thanks so much to Andrea Engels at Yellow Tail & Blu Fin for organising this interview.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Monogam are Markus Wesen and  Søren Laga and they come on Yellow Tail sublabel of Blu Fin records to drop two excellent productions that underground tech house lovers will adore for sure. Elektrolyt is a powerful tech house banger with electro infused deep dark moody bassline, rolling drums, dark synthy layers and siren like electronic sounds that add to the sci-fi dark, mechanical and cold atmosphere. Hypnotic tech house at its very best without doubts. Leuchtstoffmittel moves on the same deep dark haunting moody and cold tech house sound that is mesmerising and packed with esoteric dynamism. I could even add that both tracks have certain trancy influences as they manage to carry the listener away and transpose them  to a different world by creating the sense that you go through a journey.  [content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Yellow Tail is the beloved sublabel of Blu Fin. The quality techno and deep house label from Cologne service you the stunning EP How's Jack from the upcoming artist Kotapski. The classy cuts included on the  package promise to bring to your dancefloor sensations that you haven't felt before. How's Jack is the deep tech house bouncy production with extremely danceable addictive groove, spacey effects, weird noises and magnificent synthy hooks that add to the track the hypnotic atmosphere that keep you tapping your feet and dancing around. It sounds so dirty, stylish and cool. Go Away is a deeper affair as it starts with sea waves and deep haunting basslines, rolling grooves, melancholic moody synths, lonely piano chords and excellent percussion that keep the dancefloor moving. The breakdown reveals a very unique female vocal that invites you to forget and go away. The climax continues along with the nice vocal and the organic percussion that add to the track the hippy 70's atmosphere. Ayjuway is deep house   groover with funky basslines, metallic raw grooves and bassline that drives the track forward. It's more jazz house affair that you will find impossible not to dance. Lastly Into The Groove is a very experimental take on deep house with Jimmy Tenor touch to it. The surprising distorted vocals stay at the background and recall the classic hi-nrg disco anthem Let The Music Play. The sing a long vocals are added on top of the steady playful groove, deep basslines, synthy samples and hypnotic atmosphere with great result. #PureGold Love It  [/content]

Yellow Tail is more than happy to announce a release from our very good friends Gennaro Mastrantonio & Billy Johnston with Basement Noise EP, a real techno gem...

Basically the EP is composed of two very sick original tracks and two remixes from another level, we say, the good flavor of techno. The best part comes when the Remixers are Jay Denham and Samuel L Session, so in other words these EP brings the talent of four techno masters. Four tracks featured in the EP are really great, of course as we expect from those kind of producers.

The cat goes Techno, miau !

DISCASE is formed from the German-Greek DJ collaboration of Manuel and Fotios. Their expression blurs many musical boundaries. While the foundation is electronic, as they play house music, it also finds more complexities on the dance floor.

Their DJ style is energetic but laid back at any time. A thoughtful mix of Deep House, Nu Disco and Electronica showcase their diverse palette and allows the vibrant DJs to come to life with a driving force that is focused solely on the audience. They achieve this with the DISCASE ME. podcast series every two weeks presenting the latest hits of the electronic music scene.

What to say about Artists just starting, without a long history, but full of love to music.it’s better to hear music ,than to explain ☺

For everything there is a first time, so welcome DISCASE to our artist rooster, and great thanks to Sebastian Porter for the Remix ...

Dimitri Kechagias review: The underground techno/house record label Yellow Tail from Cologne, sister label of the legendary BluFin records presents the upcoming and very promising duo Discase. The two members of this new project deliver the magnificent hypnotic deep house track Intention that will win your attention and when will be played in clubs or radio stations you will wonder who is behind it. Excellent dark atmosphere, moody haunting basslines, cool intoxicated sounding male vocals and cool groovy synthy hooks. The track builds the tension and when the beat strikes back it carries you on the most uplifting part that the crowd will enjoy to the maximum with electro infused melodies and intense rolling beats and cool basslines. The last breakdown includes a short electro sequence that sounds very groovy indeed and enhance the whole atmosphere. Good Love is the 2nd original track on the EP and I must say that is one of those tracks that will get you infected straight away. Deep 90's influenced tech house  with nu disco influences, distorted diva house vocals, infectious old school synths and organ riffs. With hot sweaty club summer nights  in your mind this track has all the potential to become favourite for many Ibiza residents. Sebastian Porter is on remix duties and he does what he knows best and that is to transform the darker moody original into an even deeper   techno meets house affair with playful drum programming, threatening dark synthy stabs and additional new optimistic trancy synthy themes. The great vocal is twisted and cut around to fit the final magnificent result that is warm and simply special! Don't miss this EP. #PureGold Love it

Khaan started his DJ career in 2005. Since then, developed through his passion for electronic music, he has been setting high standards on the turntables. In 2007 he decided to start producing his own tracks, much to the joy of his ever growing fan-base. By now his electronic beats can be heard in various releases - “Journey to Africa” with the label “Tanzbar Musik” (including Miss Jools Remix) or “Control Me” on the “Venice EP” from “Blackrose Records” , if only to mention a few.

Further releases with prestigious labels like “Off”, “Blufin” or “Natural Rhythm” have proved themselves Topsellers.

This time Khaan got together with Alex Gori from Italy, delivering 2 good tracks for this EP, with a huge amount rhythm, feeling, and groove.

For the Remix we have no other than SIS and Zohki & Roozlee from Viva Music, big love to you guys, think you gonna listen

it’s a great Package for sure ....

Dimitri Kechagias review: The top techno/tech house record label Yellow Tail part of Blu Fin presents the quality deep house/ tech house EP by Alex Gori & Khaan called Che Musica. Four very exclusive gems for those who appreciate the deep groove, the funky feeling and the stunning atmosphere that transfer you to another world when you enter the dancefloor. The Original mix of Che Musica is a wonderful deep house production with 90's revival house sound, superb percussion, deep pounding bassline and cool vocal sample. With hypnotic rhythm and relentless building themes Che Musica is one of those deep house gems with personality that stand out. Zohki & Roozlee remix is going on even deeper darker territories with UK garage house elements that work like a treat plus more techno focused aesthetics. The Original mix of  La Mecca is moving on the same deep house territory with ethnic style / Middle East vocal sample in the breakdown, rolling drums, break beat sequences and top percussion as well. Sis remix on La Mecca is a stunning 8 minutes deeper journey into the unknown that starts beautifully with fantastic intro sequence and slowly builds up the excellent arrangement with very cool percussive melody and addition of even more exotic vocal samples. Hypnotic, mesmerising, luscious and mysterious this remix is packed with atmosphere and intelligent sound design #PureGold Love iT

NICK HOLLYSTER , is from the French capital city, Paris. He discovered electronic music in 1999 at the age of 14, thanks to his friends back in Paris who brought him to all the best underground parties like Batocool at Batofar and also the Freak n' Chic parties or the monthly night at Rex Club called Bass Culture, with dj's like D'julz ,Dan Ghenacia ,T.E.R.R.Y , W.A.R.R.I.O , to name a few.

Shortly after, Nick Hollyster bought a pair of turntables and a mixer and started to practice home alone. After 2 years Nick Hollyster started spinning in small clubs & bars in Paris and his provinces for many years. But that was not enough Nick Hollyster wanted to get his very own touch on his music so the next step was to start producing. This happened two years ago when he moved to Valencia,Spain. His music is at the crossing of House and deep techno with strong funk influences.

For the release of „BE FREE“ he got together with ROBON ORLANDO, this collab does work. Solid in every aspect.

Package is rounded up with Remixes by our youngster ALEX CVETKOV and FLINSCH, his next release on BluFin is in the starting blocks.

We are very excited about what mix will run the mach ? Let us know ...

Dimitri Kechagias review:  Yellow Tail presents one of the hottest anthems in Ibiza this summer. Meet the very talented producer Nick Hollyster who collaborates with Robon Orlando for the majestic deep melodic house anthem Be Free. The focus of the track is the magnificent vocal sample that invite all people to come together united and Be Free. The message is supported by  deep basslines, chunky groove, guitar riffs, piano chords and cinematic strings. The result is a wonderful balearic journey that persuades the listeners to let the differences collapse and come closer together. Shades on the other side is a darker deep house instrumental groover with funky basslines, soulful edges and balearic atmosphere. When you hear it you imagine yourself in a beach bar dancing with hands in the air! The remixes on Be Free are very cool indeed with Alex Cvetkov servicing his deep emotional house version with old school groove and moody basslines while on top cinematic strings, retro melodies and sunkissed synths creating the very smooth, calm and totally refreshing sound that can heal the pain and make the magic and bring together people of all colours on the dancefloor. Flinsch presents two translations. The Sun remix is the more upfront and optimistic version where he adopts his electro chunky groove, deep driving bassline and with Giorgio Moroder synths on top  he builds an exceptional melodic, dreamy, danceable and very spacey version that is tailor made for late night sets in Ibiza. Lastly Flinsch Dark remix is darker version with darker sinister synths along with moody haunting basslines and superb arrangement that keep the dancefloor united with hands in the air and will easily crossover to deep psy trance or even progressive house sets for djs like Danny Tenaglia. Close your eyes, press play and imagine our common conquest for freedom! #PureGold Love iT

CRCKSN, is young guy from Luxembourg, a tedious Bermuda triangle offering the obviousadvantages of cross-cultural exchange yet devoid of any significant marketstructures, the upcoming producer has experimented with various forms ofmusical expression ever since his parents treated him with a first vinylplayer upon reaching the age of twelve. It isnt until then that he decides todevote his life entirely to music.

The Meeting EP on Yellow Tail is a soulful Housefloor killer with hypnotizing vocals and a great vibe. Superb work! The Remix from ERNST & WERNER creates a dirty and dark atmosphere for The Meeting . You have to dance. Superb work! Less is more sometimes .

Dimitri Kechagias review: The top record sublabel of Blu Fin records is back! Yellow Tail present the excellent Meeting EP by CRCKSN. Mother Earth is a mysterious deep house track with unique sounds and playful arrangement. The industrial synths used add that unpleasant sci-fi atmosphere to the track making wonder what I'm going to meet next. Dark, moody, eclectic but very floating and danceable is one of those little gems that will magnetise the ears on the dancefloor and with closed eyes you will follow the orders of your own heart and soul that would be to dance until the morning comes. The soulful vocal is a big plus to the track as it gives that cutting arty edge that sounds very inspiring. If you want something more deeper with tribal grooves and more upfront atmosphere with just some vocals in the breakdown then ERNST & WERNER version sounds the more appropriate for you particularly if you wish to blend it with other deep house essential tracks. Second original track is Capre Noctem. This track falls more in the melodic techno category with techy groove, deep wonky basslines, cool synthy melodies and strange spoken vocal samples that will make you  think for sure. If underground is your home then you just found three new buddies! Love iT

We had such good remixes for Fanatico and because it is timeless alone by the voice of Jorge, that's why we have decided to release a remix album including all Remixes we got. Thanks again to all Remixers for the great work ...we really hope you will enjoy.

Ranging from electronica to experimental, from minimal pop to state of the art song deconstruction, this first album of the transatlantic duo Fanatico will comprise a diverse selection of cover songs as well as new original material. Can you imagine Patti Smith and Led Zeppelin tracks with dance beats? You will after listening to “Dancing Daze”.

Fanatico is a new project of DJ-producer Mathias Schaffhäuser and vocalist Jorge Socarrás from New York.

The project came about when Mathias Schaffhäuser did a remix of a track from the Patrick Cowley and Jorge Socarrás vintage 70’s album, “Catholic,” which was retro-released in 2009 by Macro Music, Berlin. The two men had never met, but Socarrás contacted Schaffhäuser to say how much he liked the remix. Schaffhäuser, who was an old fan of Socarrás’ 80’s band, Indoor Life, replied suggesting that perhaps they might work together sometime. Through subsequent emails both expressed how they’d each been wanting to interpret some cover songs, eventually leading to Socarrás going to Köln in August 2010 and spending a week recording with Schaffhäuser in his studio. The two had remarkable chemistry from the start, working together as if they were longtime music partners. Indeed Socarrás felt that in Schaffhäuser’s envelope-pushing minimalism he’d found a contemporary successor to his earlier collaborators.

Tracklist of the mix:
01_Tessio (So Fine aka Citizen Kain Remix /Short Vocals Version) 00:00 – 04:27 min.
02_Dancing Barefoot (Moritz Ochsenbauer & David Floyd feat. Jakob Reiter Remix) 04:27 – 09:41 min.
03_2000 Light Years From Home (Martin Eyerer Remix) 09:41 – 14:01 min.
04_Whatever Gets You Through The Night (Jack The Box's Templehof At Night Remix) 14:01 – 19:00 min.
05_Dreams (Hans Nieswandt's Thundermix) 19:00 – 24:03 min.
06_Dancing Days (Lady Blacktronika's Dancing In The Dark Remix) 24:03 – 29:02 min.
07_Tessio (Kink's Raw Dub) 29:02 – 34:01 min.
08_Dancing Barefoot (M. Schaffhäuser's Club Edit) 34:01 – 39:16 min.
09_Tessio (M.in feat Chriss Vogt Remix) 39:16 – 44:26 min.
10_Dancing Days (Tim Schroeder Remix) 44:26 – 47:10 min.
11_2000 Light Years From Home (Jeremy P Caulfield Remix) 47:10 – 53:50 min.

Dimitri Kechagias review:  Dancing Daze is one of the coolest electronic music albums that surfaced in 2013 with superb recreations of many well known songs from the past in tottaly different electronic dance music context. The winning combination of Mathias Schaffhäuser brilliant production skills and Jorge Socarrás dark and emotional vocals have elevated Dancing Daze into a cult status album. Dazed and Remixed  is a wonderful opportunity to collect in one single handy album the fantastic remixes that all of them have been released in the past within great EP's. The  brand new remix album is certainly an opportunity not to be missed for those who still appreciate quality electronic dance music sounds. First of all So Fine aka Citizen Kain put his hands on the magnificent Tessio and service a mesmerising deep tech house version that is summery sun shinning and really relaxing and very danceable at the same time. Chunky groovy beats, funky basslines, rock guitars build a road movie like atmosphere that will lock you in its groove straight away and carry you on board for a hypnotic journey. On the other hand G.C.P. embarks for a very cool balearic house interpretation with tribal groovy beats, playful basslines, ambient style sounds, old school organ riffs and piano melodies too. The result is cool, calming, soothing and absolutely magical. Jack The Box remix the magnificent Whatever Gets You Through The Night and they service a powerful banging tribal techno 9 minutes epic version that is powerful, energetic and work perfectly with the superb vocals. Its the kind of track that djs like Danny Tenanglia or Dubfire could easily play in their sets. On Dreams  the talented Hans Nieswandt provides his raw techno version that starts with breakbeat style intro and then moves to the more energetic old school infused version that sounds more analogue than digital. From the vocal he uses just a small phrase and highlights the word Thunder. If you like the sharper more uncompromising techno sounds Hans delivers the right remix for you. Lady Blacktronika remix on Dancing Days is a powerful old school techno version with great flavours from the past. It actually reminds me Dave Angel bouncy pumping techno sound. Its very upfront with dominating pounding fearful basslines and very dark  moody atmosphere. Moritz Ochsenbauer & David Floyd feat. Jakob Reiter remix starts with nice piano intro and with the cool vocal on top. The main part of the track is quite tripping chilling relaxing and playful. It makes you think of sunny holidays and yourself dancing on this track barefoot in the sand. Experimental electronica blissful version from eclectic tastemakers. Tim Schroeder retouches Dancing Days and he service a wonderful deep techy version that lock you instantly in its electronic groove and hypnotic atmosphere. Excellent application synthy melodies that add that electro pop 80's feel to it. Its one of those tracks that you can resist the beat, the rhythm and the excellent atmosphere. Prepare to dance then. The legend and pioneer Mathias Schaffhäuser presents his own make over to Dancing Barefoot and he goes on the minimal deep house direction that he is an expert of course. His many years of experience are reflected on his composition style that make you feel like watching a live band performing and less that is a computer programmed track. Awesome percussion and deep haunting basslines with minimal use of the vocals in a very creative dubby way. It has so much sunlight and sea that makes you wanna dance barefoot straight away without thinking of the consequences. Quality sparkling electronic dance music for those who still have faith in the underground. On Tessio the  Kink remix reshapes the track into a very enjoyable deep tech house version with old school piano themes and various synthy melodies that create the latin touch to it. 2000 Light Years From Home is remixed by Jeremy Caulfield & Martin Eyerer and finally Mathias presents his dub remix. If you like atmospheric hypnotic deep tech house you are going to adore it. Dark moody minimal techy grooves with deep basslines and cool piano chords that run on top to create the blissful balearic atmosphere. Top remix album that brings under one roof the finest artists to remix Fanatico's jewels. Love iT

Fanatico is a new project of DJ-producer Mathias Schaffhäuser and vocalist Jorge Socarrás from New York.

The project came about when Mathias Schaffhäuser did a remix of a track from the Patrick Cowley and Jorge Socarrás vintage 70s album, Catholic, which was retro-released in 2009 by Macro Music, Berlin. The two men had never met, but Socarrás contacted Schaffhäuser to say how much he liked the remix. Schaffhäuser, who was an old fan of Socarrás 80s band, Indoor Life, replied suggesting that perhaps they might work together sometime. Through subsequent emails both expressed how theyd each been wanting to interpret some cover songs, eventually leading to Socarrás going to Köln in August 2010 and spending a week recording with Schaffhäuser in his studio. The two had remarkable chemistry from the start, working together as if they were longtime music partners. Indeed Socarrás felt that in Schaffhäusers envelope-pushing minimalism hed found a contemporary successor to his earlier collaborators.

The 'Dancing EP' is the last taken out of the Album Fanatico - 'Dancing Daze' 4 new Remixes on the run
for 'Dancing Days' Lady Blacktronika and Tim Schroeder for 'Dancing Barefoot' by Moritz Ochsenbauer & David Floyd feat. Jakob Reiter and last but not least Mathias Schaffhäuser himself :)

we hope you still love to Dance ;)

A result of a collaboration between Andreas Ernst & FabianWerner (a.k.a. Luís Noli).

Andreas published his first EPs in 2012 "Jetzt Wird Es Ernst " and "Swing" on FreakStar.

In 2013, he followed with other EPs on Audio Safari, and M.in’s Weplayminimal.

Fabian (Luís), so far was more a DJ than a Producer. But after the first meeting it was clear that they belong together! So this year it was finally time to change from Andreas Ernst and Luís Noli to Ernst & Werner .

"In & Out" Ep offers both an intro and an outro. The two tracks are very melodic with a dreamy piano and a cool groove.

You will be surprised by the melodious charme of IN and OUT to welcome the warmer months.

The Cat says : Miau !!

Release Date 07.03.2014

Dimitri Kechagias review: Yellow Tail is the label that never rests in its glory. Like the cat in its label logo sniffs and smells to find the finest tracks that can wake up your senses and make you feel more comfortable. Ernst & Werner present their brilliant In and Out EP. The track In starts with an excellent atmospheric intro and makes it straight away contender to play as the intro track in your dj set. Emotionally touching tracks with great balearic like guitar riffs that will touch you instantly upon the deep smooth basslines and the chunky groovy beats. You wanna dance with somebody who loves you when you hear tracks like this one. Its the perfect mood changer from your dark gloomy moments to the happier ones. Feel Good to the maximum, Feeling bad to the minimum. Out on the other hands can be used within your dj set but because is loaded with excellent quitar riffs, romantic piano chords and warm strings make it the perfect contender to play as the outro track in your set and in that way to cool down the heat and leave your crowd with sweet taste in their mouth! It sounds already like summer! Happy Holidays! Life should be like an endless holiday! #PureGold Love iT

The name Moritz Ochsenbauer primarily stands for what today would be described as old school.

It's about friendship, honesty, and the goal of realising something.
So it is even today, always being reinvented, developed and
looking forward to create something new.

After a long partner- and friendship between Moritz, BluFin and Yellow Tail, after a really unexpected sucess with „Fuck Face“ in 2011 ...or’Move Your Hips Fly’ later on, Moritz is back here with Metrodance, for this EP he got together with Jakob Reiter .

Maybe you remeber the Remix from this both for Fanatico – Dancing Days. So no wonder that the remix for Metroland comes from Fanatico aka Mathias Schaffhäuser & Jorge Socarrás ...

All at once –keep on dancing and welcome back Moritz

Dimitri Kechagias review: Yellow Tail is all about good quality deep house and techno music with substance. Moritz Ochsenbauer & Jakob Reiter present their latest EP including the awesome tunes  Metroland & Want. Metroland is the leading track here and this choice is for a reason. The track is wonderful tripping tech house adventure to the mysterious place that is Metroland. The melody is very catchy and the various cinematic melodramatic strings create that very exotic soundscape that straight away transfer your mind, body and soul to another world. Its like an emotional inspiring ride that is produced with simple back to basics elements and despite being polished and clean cut sounds really underground and artistic as well. Want is the 2nd original track that will expand your mind and uplift your body and soul. It's more uplifting with summery melody and irresistible groove. I can only imagine myself with my headphones walking in a sunny place and listening this awesome feel good positive track. The beloved duo Fanatico are on board as well. Their take on Metroland is an even deeper tech house version with superb minimal techy chunky beats, cool jazzy infused basslines and great dark strings and rock guitar riffs along with the whispering inviting vocals that work really well within this very moody and so inspiring environment. The new vocals with top lyrics elevate the track to the next level and sound to me like the 2014 equal of Lou Reed  with his seminal anthem Walk on The Wild Side. Fanatico never disappoint and always find new interesting angles to reinvent rather than just remixing the track! Quality release not to be missed. LoveIT

1-Original 2014 mix
2-Sebastien remix

Dimitri Kechagias review: Its always big pleasure to see two great record labels coming together for a magnificent release. Yellow Tail meets Tiger records for the brand new remixes of the fantastic Rashid Ajami anthem Rule The World that first caught our attention back in 2012. The package includes two must play anthems particularly for those who like it deep, techy and very mysterious as well. The brand new make over of the original for 2014 is dark, moody, groovy and absolutely mouthwatering. Techy crunchy beats, melodramatic strings, deep haunting basslines, unforgettable piano melody, hypnotic synthy layers and the stunning male vocal about someones ambition  to become famous and rule the world. It has great cinematic atmosphere and is pretty easy to escape in its strange soundscapes. Sebastien is one of the hottest artists at the moment and his interpretation is the most brilliant that you can think of. Deep bubbly basslines, dark techy beats, underground moody atmosphere, strong synthy melody that runs throughout the whole track and hook you instantly. The excellent vocal is here to hypnotise your senses. Rashid Ajami deserves to Rule The World. Tiger records Rule the dancefloor. Love IT

Mountain climbing is one of Helmut Dubnitzky’s extravagant hobbies, part of his imprint as a DJ emerging from the foothills of the German Black Forest more than a decade ago.

Obviously a climber cannot rest for long. Helmut Dubnitzky wants to carry out his definition of groove. To him it means rhythm and deep, deep bass. For this reason, he founded his own label Brise Records in 2009.

His latest Release on Yellow Tail is a bit back -Play & Sing EP in 2010. We are more than happy to have him back here.

Monster 3 Tracker EP – a high climber for sure ...it’s Helmut Dubnitzky !!!

Welcome 2014 !!!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Yellow Tail is one of the finest  record labels with highly eclectic output so far like the latest fantastic EP  by Helmut Dubnitzky with the brilliant title Deep Blue. The title track of the EP is a wonderful deep melodic hypnotic techno gem with great percussion, tribal drum beats, deep funky basslines and synthy melodies that create an exceptional result that make you dream of seashores, crashing waves and relaxing lazy sunny summer days. Dust in The Sky is moving on the same deep tech house territory with groovy basslines, danceable rhythm and quite cold synthy lines that create the dark and gloomy atmosphere. Helmut adds in his tracks natural sound effects that reconnect us with nature and remind us to never forget where we come from. Last track is Indigo Sky that is absolutely mesmerising. Deep soulful tech house anthem with great tribal drums, colourful synthy melodies, spoken vocal samples and floating relaxing feel to it. Its the type of track that you dance with closed eyes in the middle of the dancefloor and let your body flow with the music without any fears or inhibitions. Positive vibes that inspire and awake our imagination and give us indescribable mind sensations. Love IT
