Diving deeper into his exploration of the genre, Dutch singer-songwriter Nick Schilder is back on Armada Music with ‘Realize’, a silky, guitar-driven, dance/pop crossover that vulnerably depicts his first experience of heartbreak.

The follow-up to Nick Schilder’s debut hit ‘Shatterproof’, which peaked at #31 in the Dutch Top 40 this summer, ‘Realize’ is a deeply personal narrative of enduring — and overcoming — his first heartbreak. Drawing from his own youth, Nick lyrically unfolds the pain of his heart shattering for the first time and the gut-wrenching experience of putting it back together. His story is vividly portrayed in the track's music video, which can be viewed via Armada Music TV.
“’Realize’ is the first English song I wrote with Leon Paul Palmen and Matt Simons for my solo career. As I'm currently crafting my most personal work ever, it has brought forth a range of emotions, from my deepest feelings to childhood memories,” says Nick Schilder. ‘Realize’ is about surviving my first heartbreak, my journey of self-discovery and the self-confidence I ultimately found through music.”
The track signifies Nick’s tireless work in the studio over the last year, having already penned approximately fifty songs throughout his experimentation with fresh musical dimensions. With a celebrated career in Dutch pop songwriting, Nick is charting a new artistic path and ‘Realize’ is a testament to his creative journey.

About Nick Schilder
“The music I make is who I am, what I feel and what I want to create.”
It’s these words that define Nick Schilder and his approach to music. Feeling the pull of electronic music grow stronger upon hearing Matt Simons’ 2014 single ‘Catch & Release’, the Dutch singer-songwriter is carving out his own path and stepping onto a playing field known for infinite possibilities.

Transitioning from Dutch folk and pop to dance music may seem too great a shift at first glance, despite – or maybe even because – the seventeen years of profound success he’s had as one half of Nick & Simon. Together, they topped the Dutch Top 40 chart ten times, sold 1,000,000 album copies, played sold-out solo show to crowds of 30,000 strong and frequently appeared on Dutch television, including The Voice of Holland (as coaches), popular talk shows and their own documentary series, ‘Homeward Bound’. Yet, a deep-dive into Nick Schilder’s upbringing – from learning to play guitar from globally recognized artist (his neighbor) at the age of 8 to becoming an ambassador for the Dutch Chess Association many years after securing a chess championship in his youth – hints to an artistic depth that insists on a look beyond the shallows.

Across his output, Nick Schilder will be connecting with unique songwriters from all over the world, a desire that stems from a long tradition of seeking out writing talent across the music spectrum. His songs usher in electronic music’s influence and subtly reference his own personal experiences.

The life of world travel can be a lonely one, and it can also be the most poetic and beautiful thing imaginable. Western Australia lends itself to these mixed emotions, partly because the region is just so damn empty anyways. But of course, it's not the people, it's not the location, it's always that there's a girl involved, isn't it? Yes, after one of the best parties of his life, The Bearded Man stepped out into a raging thunderstorm to find himself. He was head over heels for someone, and it seemed like there was no way he could ever have her. She was in love with someone else. A lone wooden pier stretched out into the churning ocean of Cottesloe Beach, and disastrous waves crashed on top of the rickety dock with enormous force as rain dumped down in sheets. There wasn't another soul out there for miles. He had his cell phone, wallet and keys in his pocket, but he didn't care. He walked out to the end of the pier, and each wave that crashed over him nearly knocked him off the pier to certain death. He welcomed the force of each wave, screaming at the ocean like a mad man, tempting God: "Is that the best you can do!?!?!" He yelled. He knew full well that it wasn't the best the ocean could do and that he was but a tiny insignificant speck compared to the enormous universal energy. After he had been pummeled by about a dozen bone-shattering waves, he clawed his way back inland to the shore. Completely soaked, he walked over 5 miles in the pouring rain to the house of the girl he loved. It was 3 A.M. He knocked on her wooden front door, afraid and excited, and he watched as a lone light switched on from within. She was about to open the door.

Dimitri Kechagias review: I'm so glad to discover now Bipolar Sunshine and I'm feeling a bit ashamed for myself because as it seems I'm bit late to find the next big thing  in eclectic dreamy electronic pop sound.  that seems to be so prominent and beloved for many fans who start to search more to discover new kinds of music. This drive of the audience to discover the new sounds is the same drive that push the boundaries and encourage musicians to experiment and bring new forms of musical expression. Deckchairs On The Moon is  feel good pop that is easy to digest but with so much depth in its soundtexture that will definitely keep you occupied thinking about it many hours and days after you will listen it on radio. The original mix is great mixture of electronic music with soulful vocals with inspirational lyrics that widen your horizon and switch on your imagination to start dreaming of your own personal uncensored mental images. Harry Fraud remix is wonderful left field avant garde electronic style track that remind me the Aphex Twin sound. Chill out and definitely dreamy will carry your soul away for a mysterious adventure. Awesome release! Love iT
