01. Peter Steele & Christina Novelli - Moment In Time (Original Mix)
02. Peter Steele & Christina Novelli - Moment In Time (Extended Mix)

Carpe Diem, tempus fugit, the fleeting nature of time and life’s impermanence are all music-and-message themes bound up in Peter Steele and Christina Novelli’s first studio gathering.

Over the last ten, Peter has established himself as a formidable producer, building a rep through his unstinting output on PTR, FSOE, Black Hole, Perfecto and GO Music. Through lyric, turntable and voice, Christina meanwhile has forged forward to become one of the acoustic and electronic voices of her generation. Together, that’s made ‘Moment In Time’ but a matter of time!

Echoing its title, ‘Moment In Time’s words advocate for a letting go of the past, and a resolution that ‘the present’ is all that truly matters. “Burn all the secrets we keep” sings Christina, while Peter picks out each lyrical line with piano notes and intuitively tracks each sentiment with his curling 303 and moving melodies.

‘Moment In Time’s moment is now: find Peter and Christina’s first shining collaboration together through all good sales and streaming channels HERE

[item value="10"] Peter Steele & Christina Novelli - Moment In Time[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]"Moment in Time" is not just any trance track; it is a meticulously produced masterpiece that showcases the technical prowess of its creators. The track's production process highlights the sophisticated use of digital audio workstations to blend various elements seamlessly. The initial foundation was likely laid using a selection of soft synths, carefully chosen to create the ethereal and atmospheric textures that define the track. The choice of sound design, particularly the lush pads and shimmering arpeggios, contributes significantly to the track's dreamy ambiance. Christina Novelli's vocal tracks were recorded with high-end microphones and preamps, ensuring clarity and capturing the emotive nuances in her voice. These vocals were then processed with subtle reverb and delay effects, which enhance the spatial quality of the mix without overpowering it. The rhythmic backbone of "Moment in Time" is constructed with precision. The basslines are both powerful and resonant, achieved through expert EQ and compression techniques to deliver that characteristic trance punch without overshadowing other elements. The kick drum, a critical component in trance, was refined using layering techniques, combining samples to create a kick that is both deep and sharp. Moreover, the track's arrangement demonstrates an understanding of dynamic flow, employing automation to enhance the build-ups and breakdowns, which are crucial for maintaining listener engagement. The sweeping filters and gradual crescendos guide the listener through an emotive journey, while the inclusion of Balearic elements adds a unique touch that differentiates it from conventional trance tracks. Mastering was likely done with a keen ear for detail, ensuring the final product is polished and balanced across all frequency ranges. Overall, "Moment in Time" stands out not just for its musicality, but also for its intricate production techniques that come together to create a pure, uplifting trance experience.#PureGold Love IT [/content]

[item value="10"]Sonic Element, Peter Steele - Shadows [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Sonic Element and Peter Steele are well respected in the trance scene for their incredible tracks so far. Their collaboration for FSOE is called Shadows and can be easily described as high class euphoric trancer on the classic UK trance style. Energetic sharp basslines, punchy kicks and driving foundation that push the track forward leading to the magical breakdown with choir like epic voices, piano melodies and massive wavy sunkissed synthy hooks that radiate energy and crawl under your skin instantly. Suddenly the melody fades away and it comes back along with the large build up to take us all the way in the top notch climax that is soaked with feel good but still melancholic synths and wah wah trancy voices. Without exaggerations and just the right and exact elements Shadows is real trance as it should be no cheap amusements here just quality composition from start to finish. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

Peter Steele rejoins the ranks at Borderline, after a successful stint of releases with the likes of Pure Trance and GO Music.

Rejoins? Along with label owner Activa (under his Substate alias), Peter Steele as Solarsky, was responsible for the collaboration Karma, originally release on Borderline in 2013 and then covered by Peter himself and released on GO Music.

Equilibrium is a high quality trancer with all the trademark Peter Steele production quality and writing class.

As our first release on our brand new label we are going for something old (and classic) and something new (and bang-on point). One of the most famous melodies in trance began as a vocal on a b-side of Jan Johnston's first solo single. In 1995 it found its way to BT, who first sampled it and then asked Jan to re-sing it for his Taylor project. It was initial released in the US and then on Platipus in the UK. Remixed and re-released several times in its lif. Jan re-recorded the track in 2003 and 15 years later we are pleased to have the vocal classic as our debut track.
Jan Johnson

First up is one of the 'men of the moment' on the progressive trance scene. Italy's Gai Barone introduces his trademark muscular grooves and swirling arpeggios, all finely intertwined with Jan's vocals. We crank things up and set dials for big-room-trance as UK based Peter Steele delivers his uptempo peak time grooves to fine effect.

We head off to Hungary next for Anjuna favourite Sunny Lax with his intricate and layered progressive electronic rework. Taking a step back to its original release we include the Thrillseekers trance master class and the mellow ambient pads of the Art Of Trance Chillout version. Alternate versions from Kansai and Neo and Farina are also included on the full package.

Stay tuned for more from Solar Storm and Jan Johnston.

 [item value="10"]Jan Johnson - Calling Your Name[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Jan Johnson is one of the most beloved trance singers with incredible voice. Calling Your Name is an absolutely lovable classic with stunning remixes to die for. Gai Barone goes for his exceptional deep moody sensual sound of dark progressive that adds certain darkness and cinematic tripping out dimension to the original eternal classic. Peter Steele takes the track in his solid uplifting trance territory with application of the full emotional vocal and superb synthy melodies and warm strings that will offer you the right dose of trance class for sure. Last of the new remixes is the superb Sunny Lax who does what he knows best with thumping grooves, big room pulsating basslines, piano chords, big uplifting synths and excellent use of the brilliant classic that goes deep under your skin and will haunt you for sure. This is what I call Vocal Trance! #PureGold Love IT[/content]
