If you’re looking for that 2 AM "eyes closed, hands up" moment, Desyfer has just delivered the goods. "Into The Light" features a hauntingly beautiful topline from Emma Konnanov that dives deep into the struggle of "searching in the sky for another meaning".

Musically, it’s a masterclass in Progressive House: a driving, chugging low-end, shimmering synth layers, and a breakdown that lets those lyrics breathe before dropping into a peak-time roller. It’s vulnerable, it’s powerful, and it’s got that "Avanti" signature grit. Essential for late-night tastemakers.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Desyfer & Emma Konnanov’s “Into The Light” is a masterful display of modern Progressive House production that encapsulates both technical brilliance and emotional resonance. The rhythmic structure is impeccable, with a tight groove and unrelenting drive that sustains the listener’s engagement from start to finish. The combination of a chugging low-end and crisp percussion provides the foundation for its seamless energy flow, ensuring the track maintains momentum across transitions, drops, and build-ups. Each section evolves naturally, creating a fluid narrative that not only elevates club and festival experiences but also resonates in fitness and wellness settings where sustained, high-energy beats promote movement and engagement. The melodic hooks and harmonic layers are meticulously crafted, weaving together bright shimmering leads with darker, textured elements that immerse the listener in a rich sonic landscape. The layering of synths and pads demonstrates a sophisticated approach to sound design, with each element occupying its own space through precision in EQ and spatial effects. The track’s breakdown offers a moment of vulnerability, allowing Emma Konnanov’s breathtaking vocal performance to soar. Her lyrical delivery, centered on themes of searching and self-discovery, enhances the emotional depth of the production, offering a cathartic release that aligns perfectly with the drop’s return of pulsating basslines and thumping kicks. The production quality of “Into The Light” speaks to an advanced understanding of dynamic range and loudness balance. The track avoids the pitfalls of over-compression, maintaining clarity and punch that is both club-ready and headphone-friendly. Effects and spatial design are employed masterfully, creating a three-dimensional mix where reverb tails and delay modulations enhance immersion without muddying the core elements. The arrangement feels original and intentional, with subtle creative flourishes in transitions and modulation that elevate its artistic identity. Cohesion and storytelling are evident throughout, as each section contributes to an overarching journey that captivates audiences. From a scientific perspective, music with a steady BPM around 125 has been shown to positively impact mood, cognition, and overall mental well-being. According to research published in Frontiers in Psychology (Thompson et al., 2019), rhythmic entrainment to steady beats can reduce stress and enhance focus. The driving energy and emotional resonance of tracks like “Into The Light” make them ideal for fitness and wellness classes, as they promote both physical engagement and psychological uplift, echoing findings from studies on music and exercise motivation (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). For meditation or stress-relief settings, the track’s atmospheric breakdowns can offer moments of introspection and release, supporting therapeutic applications of music. In essence, “Into The Light” is not only a club essential but also a versatile tool for enhancing human experience through audio. Its craftsmanship across rhythm, melody, sound design, and emotional impact demonstrates why it excels in every evaluative criterion, while its potential to improve mental and physical well-being underscores its broader significance as art. #PureGold Loveit[/content]

[item value="10"]Eddie Sender & Kate Tillmay - Trilobite [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Eddie Sender and Kate Tillmay’s “Trilobite” is a masterful composition that stands as a testament to modern electronic music production, seamlessly blending peak-time melodic techno energy with the elegant warmth of progressive house. At 126 BPM, its rhythmic core drives a relentless groove, with deep, rolling basslines and tightly engineered thumping kicks creating an immediate sense of propulsion. Each drum element is carefully placed within the stereo field, forming a spatially rich percussive environment that allows the track’s harmonic layers to shine. The melodic hooks, led by Kate Tillmay’s heartfelt vocal performance, intertwine with euphoric synth lines and melancholic cinematic strings, producing a harmonic complexity that maintains listener engagement while providing an emotionally immersive experience. The smooth transitions between sections, punctuated by artfully executed drops and build-ups, confirm the producers’ mastery of energy flow and dynamic storytelling. The production demonstrates clinical precision, from its meticulously balanced dynamic range to its judicious use of effects and spatial design. Reverbs and delays envelop the melodies in an atmospheric cocoon, enhancing immersion without obscuring the clarity of the mix. This careful attention to spatial detail ensures that the track operates effectively in both intimate headphone listening environments and expansive festival settings. Its arrangement is simultaneously original and cohesive, evolving through cinematic breakdowns featuring melodramatic piano chords before rising into euphoric climaxes that leave a lasting emotional resonance. Listeners can appreciate its narrative progression without the need for visual accompaniment, a hallmark of strong musical storytelling. From a scientific and wellness perspective, “Trilobite” has several positive effects on mental health and fitness environments. Research in music psychology, such as Thoma et al. (2013), demonstrates that melodic and harmonically rich music can reduce stress and induce positive affective states. Its 126 BPM tempo aligns with common exercise rhythms, making it highly suitable for fitness classes like cycling or aerobics, where musical entrainment enhances endurance and focus (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). The track’s euphoric drops can trigger dopamine release through the brain’s reward pathways, contributing to elevated mood and motivation during both physical activity and mindfulness sessions. Moreover, in wellness and yoga environments, the Beach Mix version offers a more relaxed soundscape that supports meditative breathing and stress reduction due to its spacious textures and reduced rhythmic intensity. Its high replay value stems from its catchiness and club suitability, with carefully structured intros and outros that allow seamless mixing in DJ sets. The track’s BPM consistency and loop-friendly cue points make it an ideal addition to professional playlists, and its crowd reaction potential is amplified by the perfect balance between introspective melodic layers and peak-time energy bursts. In every aspect—from sound design to emotional resonance—“Trilobite” exemplifies how electronic music can transcend entertainment, offering cognitive and physiological benefits supported by contemporary research. #PureGold Loveit [/content]

If you're looking for that proper late-night weaponry that sits between a dream and a groove, Andy Woldman has just delivered the goods. "Echoes In The Abyss" is a clinical bit of progressive business that doesn't just play; it haunts.

Ditching the cheap thrills for some serious sonic depth, Woldman crafts a sprawling, subterranean journey. We’re talking about thick, driving percussion, hypnotic low-end weight, and modular textures that swirl like smoke in a dark room. It’s got that "lost in the booth" energy, sophisticated enough for the warm-up, but with enough drive to command the floor when the lights go down.

[item value="10"]Andy Woldman - Echoes In The Abyss[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Andy Woldman’s Echoes In The Abyss is a masterclass in progressive melodic house and techno, delivering a seamless combination of cinematic atmosphere and dancefloor drive. At 125 BPM, the track positions itself as a versatile piece for DJs, hovering between deep, emotional storytelling and pumping energy suitable for peak or after-hours sets. The track exhibits a flawless rhythmic structure, with bouncy, chunky percussion and a dominating kick that propels the arrangement forward. The low-end basslines are hypnotic, providing a steady foundation without overcrowding the spectrum. This balance ensures that the groove remains engaging and fluid, perfect for maintaining energy in a late-night set. The melodic composition showcases Woldman’s meticulous ear for harmony. Subtle synth layers evolve gradually, weaving haunting and dystopian tonalities that resonate emotionally. The central melodic motif, paired with the ethereal female vocal, enhances the track’s haunting cinematic quality, making it as memorable as it is immersive. Transitions are expertly executed, with tension-building elements like filtered sweeps and reverb swells leading to powerful yet understated drops. Each build-up contributes to the narrative arc of the track, allowing DJs to create a smooth yet dramatic flow within their sets. Echoes In The Abyss demonstrates perfect energy pacing with dynamic peaks and valleys. Its momentum feels organic, helping the listener transition from introspection into movement—a quality particularly effective in fitness and wellness classes as it encourages progressive physical engagement. The production stands out for its pristine quality. The use of modular textures and spatial effects creates an enveloping soundscape. Reverb tails and stereo imaging enhance the feeling of depth, while the clear mix ensures that no frequency clashes, even during intense sections. Woldman’s artistic identity is evident in the track’s atmospheric focus and emotional undertones. It avoids overused tropes, favoring carefully crafted sonic storytelling that feels intrinsically his own. The originality of the arrangement allows the track to function as both a club weapon and a narrative piece. The track maintains an excellent dynamic range, with the loudness well-balanced for both club systems and personal listening. The mastering preserves punch without sacrificing the emotional nuances of the softer melodic passages. The haunting female vocals are ethereal and minimal, providing texture more than lyrical storytelling. This choice enhances the dystopian mood, creating an emotional resonance without distracting from the instrumental journey. Perhaps the most striking aspect of Echoes In The Abyss is its immersive atmosphere. Its soundscape encourages a sense of presence and focus, qualities that align with studies on music aiding mental wellness and stress reduction (Thoma et al., 2013). The hypnotic layers can induce meditative states, supporting applications in yoga, mindfulness, and bodyflow classes. Research has shown that deep, rhythmic electronic music can reduce anxiety, improve focus, and enhance performance in physical activities (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). The track’s consistent tempo and rich low-frequency content stimulate both engagement and relaxation. In fitness contexts, its energy flow aligns with heart rate progression, enhancing workout efficiency. In wellness environments, the immersive sound design encourages mindfulness and emotional release. The track’s sophisticated structure and emotional depth ensure high replay value. Its modular elements allow DJs to craft extended loops or use cue points creatively, making it a reliable anchor for both club and festival settings. #PureGold Love It [/content]

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] Ton TB’s “Desert Birds,” co-produced with the legendary Erik de Koning, is a masterclass in modern Progressive House production. Operating at 126 BPM, the track blends deep, dark textures with hypnotic melodic layers that immediately transport listeners into an otherworldly soundscape. The driving low-end establishes a solid rhythmic foundation, while the intricate percussion and rolling basslines create a groove that is both propulsive and immersive. This rhythmic bed is complemented by exotic gated vocals, shimmering pads, and melodramatic, cinematic effects, giving the composition a sophisticated and cohesive sonic identity. The production demonstrates exceptional sound design and spatial awareness. Ton TB and Erik de Koning utilize dynamic stereo imaging, subtle reverb tails, and carefully modulated delays to craft a three-dimensional listening experience. The synth lines are meticulously layered, with harmonic progressions that evolve gradually, maintaining tension and emotional engagement throughout. Each transition, drop, and build-up is engineered with precision, using automation of filters and gradual frequency sweeps to heighten anticipation. The dynamic range is balanced, ensuring that the track retains its clarity and punch at both club volume and in wellness environments. The arrangement cleverly builds narrative momentum, starting with a deep, atmospheric intro that eases the listener into the journey before unfolding into euphoric, wide-screen melodies. The progressive structure keeps the energy flowing without fatigue, embodying the genre’s storytelling principles. The final breakdown and outro demonstrate professional attention to flow and DJ usability, allowing seamless integration into live sets. From a psychological perspective, tracks like “Desert Birds” have been shown to positively impact mood and mental well-being. Research on music’s effects on the brain indicates that rhythmic, melodic electronic music can elevate dopamine levels, enhancing motivation and focus (Salimpoor et al., 2011). The hypnotic motifs and steady driving beats can induce a flow state, which is beneficial for reducing stress and anxiety (Csikszentmihalyi, 1990). Progressive House tracks with consistent BPMs, like this one at 126, can also support fitness routines and aerobic exercise by improving coordination and pacing (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). The music’s immersive atmosphere and emotive harmonies encourage mindfulness and relaxation, which aligns well with wellness practices such as yoga or guided stretching sessions. Studies have shown that soundscapes with predictable rhythmic patterns can reduce cortisol levels, further supporting mental health and stress management (Thoma et al., 2013). “Desert Birds” exemplifies how electronic music can engage both the mind and body. Its hypnotic progression not only stimulates the sensory system but also encourages emotional release, creating an environment conducive to both introspection and movement. Whether in a festival setting, a spin class, or a mindful listening session, the track demonstrates the profound capacity of music to enhance human experience. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

[item value="10"]Daniel Wanrooy, Re:Locate & Simon Anthony - Veil[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]The track "Veil" emerges as a masterpiece forged through the collaboration of three legendary artists: Daniel Wanrooy, Re:Locate, and Simon Anthony. This dark and atmospheric progressive anthem is crafted meticulously, embodying both technical sophistication and emotional depth. The original mix is set at a driving tempo of 130 BPM, creating an immediate sense of urgency and energy. The backbone of the track lies in its pulsating basslines, crafted using layered sub-bass techniques combined with mid-range harmonic elements to provide both depth and clarity. The energetic kicks are produced with precision, utilizing a blend of analog and digital processing to achieve a punchy, yet warm texture that cuts seamlessly through the mix. Electrotouched synths add a futuristic dimension, achieved through complex modulation techniques and layering. The use of detuned saw waves processed with chorus and reverb effects generates a wide stereo field, enhancing the track’s atmospheric qualities. Exotic vocal chops are another standout feature, manipulated with granular synthesis and pitch-shifting for a haunting, ethereal effect. These elements are meticulously side-chained to the kick, ensuring rhythmic cohesion and dynamic movement throughout the composition. The arrangement is expertly designed to maintain a moody, melancholic, and mysterious vibe. The breakdown section serves as the emotional core, where cool bell melodies emerge, crafted using FM synthesis for a crystalline, resonant tone. These melodies are supported by lush, evolving pads and arpeggiated synth lines that build tension gradually. The build-up employs advanced automation techniques, modulating filter cutoffs, reverb decay, and delay feedback to heighten anticipation before the track reaches its anthemic climax—ensuring a euphoric response from club-goers. In contrast, Christopher Vassillakis offers a hypnotic reinterpretation in his deep progressive version. His remix maintains the essence of the original while infusing his signature progressive trance sound. The production leans heavily on smooth, immersive textures achieved through sustained pads, subtle atmospheric FX, and rolling basslines that glide gracefully beneath the surface. Vassillakis employs reverb-drenched percussions and finely tuned delay effects to create a spacious, traveling atmosphere. His remix structure focuses on gradual evolution rather than abrupt changes, utilizing progressive layering techniques where elements are subtly introduced and withdrawn, guiding the listener through an emotional journey. The remix showcases excellent use of the original’s melodic motifs, reimagined with lush synthscapes and deeper harmonic progressions, creating an immersive and anthemic experience. Both versions of "Veil" stand as testaments to outstanding production craftsmanship, offering club DJs and progressive enthusiasts two must-play anthems enriched with pure sonic gold. #LoveIT [/content]

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Terry Golden is slowly making waves of his talented productions and his latest melodic progressive house meets melodic techno production Get It Together is released via Avanti/Black Hole. It's a magnificent slice of melodic driving progressive music with pulsating basslines, tribalish grooves, dark synthy chords and excellent female vocals that really add in the final result. It has the right feel good atmosphere and you feel easily captured from its excellent atmosphere bringing some warm vibes in the cold winter nights! Terry Golden strike it lucky with this one. If you don't feel the vocal there is an instrumental version too. #PureGold Love IT [/content]

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Avanti is definitely one of the coolest progressive house labels and the latest release by Alex H called Outside World is pure audio pleasure. Truly sweet melodic afro house percussion merged with stunning piano chords and cinematic strings in the breakdown along with cinematic samples to create a magnificent journey that will cool the proceedings and allow you to concentrate and rejuvenate for a while. We turn the tempo up slightly while welcoming (back) a seasoned producer under a new project-name; Galaxis! The debut release under this new project, “Awakening”, is a driving slice of progressive house, built a round a gliding arpeggio and running bassline, supplemented by an ever so slamming snare drum. We don’t hesitate to put Galaxis on our “ones to watch” list!

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Galaxis and Awakening is a brilliant slice of simple but very infectious progressive with pumping basslines, thumping rocking grooves and stunningly beautiful synthy riff that sounds so simple but so involving and catchy that would be impossible to forget it easily and get away from it! The breakdown is atmospheric with warm transcendental strings along with uplifting voice samples that work beautifully to lift you higher and make you feel excited and absolutely mesmerized. Classy and unique because is just to the point and on the spot. This is what I call Progressive to move any mountains as it sounds motivating and energizing perfect for clubs and working out!! #PureGold Love IT [/content]

With his previous single Starchaser still going strong, Aneesh Gera strikes back with an Avanti hattrick, in the form of Uhuru. A rolling bassline, floating arpeggios, atmospheric drones and tribal vocals makes up a deep, progressive house tune, that might be one of the Gentleman from Goa’s finest to date! An ADE essential!

SubVita, the new project by Paul Thomas and Jay Weather, was first presented to the world in February 2017 in form of Boschendal. We’re excited to introduce the just as groovy, slightly darker follow up; Flicker! We continue exactly where we left off with this progressive/techno/house-hybrid, with a lead synth that clearly shows Paul’s roots as one of the original Toolroom heroes!
