Fisical Project is a young Spanish Producer born in Granada. He found that electronic music was a true way of expressing his most deep feelings, and it was in 2010 when he begun to discover that his true passion resided in Trance music.

In 2013 he started crafting his own sounds and as he progressed, becoming more proficient and confident which led him to enter one of Armada's renowned music contests.

The hard work was paying off as he achieved a top 40 spot which gave him strength and determination to keep producing and developing his craft as a Trance artist.

Although he had released a limited amount of tracks on smaller labels, it wasn't until 26th of May 2014 when he found his feet, releasing a track called "Rising Star", together with the help of San Lopez.

During the years the young boy from Granada has been trying different sounds and getting support from famous international DJ's such as Paul van Dyk, Alex Morph,  Giuseppe Ottaviani, Sied Van Riel, Mike Push, Jordan Suckley, DJ Feel, Mark Sherry, Roger Shah, John Askew, Heavens Gate, Roman Messer, Johan Ekman, Manuel Le Saux, signed on Black Hole, Suanda Music, Discover Digital, Alter Ego & many more! His breakthrough had yet to come, until he signed his collaboration with The Avains called "El Collabro" with Rielism, the record label of Sied Van Riel. As Rielism is a sublabel of Black HoleRecordings, this presented the opportunity for the track to be included in the well known Rielism Vol 4 Compilation.

Other successful ventures Fisical Project was involved in included # 3 in Kiss Fm Ukraine with "Temptation" a  collaboration with Oldfix. He also achieved a staggering 7.5 rating in a prestigious Dj Mag Review "Total Destruction". The #Top 186 position in the Trance Podium 2017 ranking and #Top167 position in 2018. Last but not least his track was named as #FutureSound in the radio show of Aly and Fila #FSOE531

Dimitris: Can you mention your biggest music career achievements in 2018?

Fisical Project: I think it has been an incredible year. The fact of having released 18 tracks, I think it says it all. It was a year in which I started getting a play in FSOE becoming Future Sounds of the week with "Cherry Bomb" thanks to the great work of Luke Warner and Latex Zebra that made an incredible remix. I must also say that other great djs like Paul van Dyk have supported several of my works, which I can be very proud of. In addition to having climbed positions in the Trance Podium ranking

Dimitris: Can you rate 2018 for you as a year with 1 being very bad until 10 that is perfect year!

Fisical Project: 7 good year. I think it's been a great year, but you have to be self-critical, I can improve much more. I want it to be the turning point this year, and set an example for the future. Since more than quantity, the important thing is the quality that I should start to take out.

1) Best 3 Tracks from other artists in 2018, please give us a short comment for each track:

Fisical Project:

01. Paul van Dyk ft. Plumb - Music Rescues Me: Without a doubt I think that for me this is the best theme of this year, it is incredible what makes me feel this song. Because this song tells my life, it's my life, I do not know what would have happened to me if I didn't found this music. That's why this song means a lot to me.

02. Cold Blue - Rush: Without a doubt this is the kind of music I like to listen to, listening to the music of Cold Blue is like going back to the 2000s and feeling the energy that trance has always transmitted, an inspiration for me.

03. Craig Connelly - Trouble In Paradise: I think this is another of the songs that defines me the most, those sounds and melodies are what make me get the energy of this music.

2) Your 3 Best of 2018 personal productions, give us more background info about them:

Fisical Project: 01. Fisical Project & Ryan K - Escape The Abuse

02. Fisical Project & Ryan K - Memento

03.  The Avains & Fisical Project - Interconnected

3) Best Artist in 2018 & Best New Talent in 2018:

Fisical Project: I think that for me the best producer and new talent of this year has undoubtedly been Rysto. I love how he produces, as in so little time he has managed to get that perfect sound he has, and those ideas so I am a faithful fan of him since he made a remix to "Ineffable."I think next year will be incredible for Rysto.

4) Best Remix in 2018, please explain why you liked it so much:

Fisical Project: Effervesce II (Omar Sherif Extended Remix)
Sometimes It is complicated to get a remix which is very good, and more when it comes from a song that we all know. This remix with no doubt continues to maintain that essence of the original, and I love to hear it.

5) Best electronic music album in 2018? Please explain your decision why you think is the best album?(b) Do you believe that albums are still relevant or you prefer singles:

Fisical Project: For me, without a doubt, the best album of this year was released by Paul Van Dyk, "Music Rescues Me". I think it's an album that transmits that essence that we sometimes miss.

(b) Actually an album is always better than a single, it makes you travel and express your feelings even more.

6) Best electronic music label for 2018, please justify why you choose this label and what was so special in 2018 about it:

Fisical Project: Personally I think there are many labels that are doing very well and among them I want to highlight the form and treatment they have had with me at Abora Recordings and Alter Ego Recordings which is an exemplary label.

7) Best electronic music video for 2018, please explain why you like this video so much:

Fisical Project: Project & Ryan K - Memento, I think this video is incredible, I still can't believe that the author devoted so much time to making this incredible work of art

8) Best Twitter/Facebook/Instagram message you may have received about your music or your DJ performance in 2018:

Fisical Project:I think there have been many positive messages that I have received this year, both in person and on social networks, and I can not pick up any of them. I never expected this so I am very grateful to all those people who have dedicated some of their time to write a positive word about me, thanks from the heart.

9) Best music composition software in 2018, please explain why you appreciate it so much:

Fisical Project: I think that FL is really good if you know how to use it, but I only use it for now and it is what I most easily did at the time. It is a great software, it has greatly improved its interface, and its facility to produce

10) Your Best personal DJ Gig for 2018 (if you are active as DJ) and why you believe is the finest:

Fisical Project: I think it was amazing to be able to finally make what I like most, I was playing at Sunrise Trance Meeting 2018

11) Best technical tips that you learnt in 2018 in relation to your DJing or music productions:

Fisical Project:  I think I have greatly improved my ideas, and also in the equalisation.

Many thanks to Fisical Project for his answers! We wish him all the best in 2019

The profession of a DJ is a privileged one, with the endearing reward of connecting with others on a worldwide scale through the love of music. This feeling is shared by many on the circuit, but very few can also proudly be responsible towards the conversation that attitudes towards females in the industry are changing, and for the better.

A role embraced to the fullest through a decade long journey for Nifra.

Today, she finds herself at the forefront of international star Markus Schulz’s management and booking agency Schulz Music Group, as well as a prominent presence in IDMA nominated Coldharbour Recordings. Thanks to her particular flavor of power-driven melodic trance, as well as her warm and blissful personality, it has captivated her to a legion of followers, with many tipping her to be a key player for the current and future generations.

Born in Slovakia, Nikoleta Frajkorova’s love for music blossomed at an early age, and by her mid-teens, the appetite for the electronic genre was prioritised above everything else. A keen student of the scene, her DJ skills were rewarded and showcased to mass audiences as she became the person of choice to play alongside the world’s top tiered international spinners passing through the country; such as Tiesto, Paul van Dyk and Armin van Buuren.

Her success in Slovakia garnered attention from Miami native Markus Schulz; where her freshman production release “Ready” on Coldharbour Recordings in 2008 became not only a firm fan favorite, but a significant breakthrough.

Nifra’s education continued in the proceeding years; increasingly performing outside of her home country, and at marquee events such as A State of Trance in the Netherlands. Her affection for the country eventually prompted her to call Amsterdam her permanent home.

As well as continuing on the production front and touring, she also entered the world of radio; initially with Be Progressed, and now monthly with the established Rebel Radio on Digitally Imported’s trance channel.

Further success on Coldharbour was achieved through anthemic numbers such as “Dark Harbour” and “Athena”, and in 2014 Nifra joined the ranks of Schulz Music Group - opening doors for her to connect and entertain audiences in North America for the first time - including the famous Ultra Music Festival in Miami, as well as the heralded Transmission in Bratislava. Her bond with ever increasing audiences was apparent, and in doing so, projected her as one of the leading female figures representing the dance music scene.

2015 was a monumental change for the Slovakian, thanks to arguably her biggest success to date with her first foray into a vocal-led composition, alongside New York native Seri for “Army of Lights”. As the heralded Coldharbour Nights increased in volume and spanned a greater distance, she played a significant role in the growth; headlining nights in respected venues such as Avalon in Los Angeles and Ministry of Sound in London. Her year concluded working alongside mentor Markus Schulz as part of his City Series Collection project, where they combined for “The Creation”; an anthem fitting for Transmission’s annual home event in Prague, and continuing to receive support from important players such as Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold and Gareth Emery.

And 2016 has seen her star shine further, playing an integral role in Schulz’s Watch the World album tour, demonstrating her versatility as a DJ in both warmup and headlining modes. Along with original production “Rebel”, her remixes for “Love Me Like You Never Did” from Watch the World, as well as Dimension’s “Mangata” have received rich acclaim, contributing to her appearances at the first New York edition of Dreamstate, and the Netherlands’ hosted Coldharbour Beach Festival.

Connecting the world with a talent as infectious as her smile; and inspiring females to follow in her footsteps into the DJ world, Nifra takes it all in her stride.

1) Best 3 Tracks from other artists in 2018, please give us a short comment for each track:
Nifra: Fisherman - The Mission
I've been literally playing this track in every live set. What a melody and true weapon that will set the dancefloor on fire.

Virtual Self - Ghost Voices (Solis & Sean Truby remix)
The original is already amazing but guys took a different approach and made this a powerful trancer.

Markus Schulz ft Sebu - Upon my shoulders
I fell in love with it from the moment I heard this one for the very first time. Such a good vocal and euphoric melody.

2) Your Best of 2018 personal production, give us more background info about them:

Nifra: Nifra & Anske - Powerball

I loved working on this track with Anske as our sounds blended perfectly. The track turned out to be an euphoric powerful progressive trancer and we got such a great feedback on it.

4) Best Remix in 2018, please explain why you liked it so much:
Nifra: Gabriel & Dresden ft Sub Teal - Only road (Cosmic Gate remix). Emotional and powerful, what more do you need.

5) Best Remix that you have produced in 2018, please tell us why you believe is your best work?

Nifra: I was asked by Markus Schulz to make a fresh remix of a big coldharbour classic.

6) Best New Talent in 2018 (DJ or producer), please explain the reasons why you choose him/her :
Nifra: Fisherman. Not entirely new talent, but he just launched his solo career this year with massive releases and I'm so incredibly proud of him. This guy is gonna blow up next year, mark my words.

7) Best electronic music album in 2018? Please explain your decision why you think is the best album?(b) Do you believe that albums are still relevant or you prefer singles:
Nifra: Markus Schulz - We are the light
I think albums are even more relevant nowadays and the boss did it again. So many quality vocal tracks on this one and beautiful message behind it.

8) Best electronic music label for 2018, please justify why you choose this label and what was so special in 2018 about it:

Nifra: Coldharbour Recordings has been my steady home for the past 4 years and Im just grateful to work so closely with the label. As far as the progressive trance sound go, they are number one for me. We became a true family and expect big plans for 2019.

9) Best online social media for 2018 and why you believe is the best particularly in 2018?:
Nifra: Definitely Instagram, especially the insta stories, which allows me to share more things from touring with my fans.

10) Best Twitter/Facebook/Instagram message you may have received about your music or your DJ performance in 2018:

Nifra: I have received multiple messages from people that said my music and sets helped them to go through a very tough times. There is no better feeling than knowing that your music has such a power.

11) Best music composition software in 2018, please explain why you appreciate it so much:

Nifra: Ableton is my right hand when it comes to producing. I love the fast workflow and unlimited possibilities with this software.

12) Your Best personal DJ Gig for 2018 (if you are active as DJ) and why you believe is the finest:

Nifra: Impossible to mention just one! It would be Transmission pre-party at club Epic in Prague, my first ever 4 hour set at Newspeak in Montreal and b2b set with Fisherman at Airwalk Festival in Netherlands.

Dimitris: Do you have a radio show or vlog? Have you produced any YouTube tutorials for fellow artists to learn from you? If yes please tell us here the details and choose the best episode from your radio show/vlog/YouTube tutorial for 2018.

Nifra: I have a monthly radioshow called Rebel Radio, which is broadcasted every 4th Monday on the trance channel on di.fm.

Dimitris: If you are DJ or producer who travels very often to perform Live in various countries can you give us your best Travel Tip for 2018 in order to survive the long travelling hours?

Nifra: 99% of the time I travel with just a carry on, charged laptop and headphones. I love to work on music especially during the long haul flights where not having internet and phone network is literally bliss.

Dimitris: In 2018 there was a big movement for revival of classic tracks and retro events have boomed with music policy of solely classic tracks. What is your opinion about events or stages only with classics and can you choose for us your absolute 3 favourite classics?

Nifra: I'm sure most of us love to go back to the music that we grew up with. I'm actually going to do an exclusive progressive classic set next year at Luminosity Beach Festival for the 2nd time. But needs to be said that I'm also all up for evolution and the scene needs to support also the new producers that keep evolving the trance sound :)

Dimitris: Can you mention briefly your plans for your future releases, tracks, albums, collaborations, DJ gigs for 2019!

Nifra: I'm extremely extremely excited for 2019. It might be my best year yet! I have 3 remixes in the pipeline and one of them was already premiered by Markus Schulz, which is actually my remix of his track "Away" featuring the amazing vocals by Sir Adrian from 2010. There are two massive collaborations coming out and and it was also a time for a big vocal track. That's only what I can mention so far, because I have some big news :)

As far as gigs go, calendar is definitely filling up already which is always nice to see at the end of the year.

Dimitris: Finally, what is your biggest wish for 2019 and give us your wishes for our readers?

Nifra: My biggest wish is to take things things to another level next year and I wish everybody healthy and happy year :)

Many thanks to Nifra for her wonderful answers. Many thanks to Tim at Coldharbour for organising this interview.

Liverpool has been home of some of the world’s biggest musicians and Dance music’s best brands and Paul Holden & David McClelland are set to become a part of that legacy. Better known as Amos & Riot Night, they have been causing a raucous on the international Trance scene since breaking out in 2013. For both Paul & David, music has been a crucial part of their lives, both coming from different backgrounds before uniting together to create their full fire Trance sound they've become known for.

From their early beginnings on Defcon to now releasing with Armada, GO Music and AVA, and with support from some of Trance’s Titans, including a BBC Radio 1 play, this duo are on a path to conquer with their fierce, euphoric and hard hitting sound.

Their extreme enthusiasm and passion for Dance music is also reflected in their DJ sets ranging from the euphoric uplifting to the more banging and harder edged sounds. With numerous originals and collaborations lined up with some of the best producers and vocalists in the business you can be sure to hear Amos & Riot Night causing a raucous near you.

Dimitris: Can you rate 2018 for you as a year with 1 being very bad until 10 that is perfect year!

Amos & Riot Night: 9 excellent year, In our personal lives, we've had to face a few trials and tribulations, so it has been quite testing for us artistically, but somehow we've managed to pull through. For example, Paul's been working away from home a lot, him and his family have all been caught up with moving into their first home together so all focus has been on that for him. I myself have been working a lot in my own day job and have had to overcome a lot of other things too, but combatting writer's block has proven to be tough. As Paul works away from home a lot, this has also meant our output has been somewhat lower than many other artists, but for good reason.

That all being said, musically, it's been a pretty big year for us. 2 top 10 singles on the Beatport Trance charts, some very big gigs including making our debuts in Germany and Nottingham, then also our returns to Ibiza and Leeds but the biggest highlight of the year has to be when we'd warmed up for Judge Jules at Gatecrasher here in Liverpool! What a night that was playing to your home crowd, playing for such an iconic brand and also warming up for a someone many look up to as a hero in Dance music!

1) Best 3 Tracks from other artists in 2018, please give us a short comment for each track:

Amos & Riot Night: Paul van Dyk & Lostly - Amanecer. One of the best melodies to grace the Trance world this year. Absolute goosebumps hearing this out on a club and I remember being at Shine Ibiza when Paul himself played this out. Place went absolutely ballistic and this track really is a perfect definition of uptempo, melodic Uplifting Trance as it should be.

CamelPhat & Cristoph feat. Jem Cooke - Breathe. Outside of our usual uptempo Trance that we've become known for, we absolutely love the Prog stuff too. This track is very much up there as one of the best in that vein this year! Definitely has a resemblance to the very early days of Trance/Progressive in terms of the sound choice, musical ideas and also the vocals. The vocals from Jem are bloody outstanding too and cannot get this track out of our heads!

Cristoph's an absolute gent as well and Paul had the pleasure of warming up for him at Creamfields this year opening up the SteelYard arena! I myself met him in Ibiza when he was playing with the CamelPhat lads and Eric Prydz! Of course CamelPhat are local lads to us from Liverpool so we gotta support our locals and what a whirlwind it's been for them too! Being nominated for a Grammy with 'Cola' earlier this year and also their massive release, 'Panic Room' with Au/Ra too! Fun fact, it turns out that Au/Ra is none other than the daughter of legendary balearic Trance/chillout artist York! Only found that out recently!

Nick Callaghan - XLR8R. Every time Nick's put a release out, it always stands head and shoulders above everything else! That's all we've had to say on this one!

2) Your 3 Best of 2018 personal productions, give us more background info about them:

Amos & Riot Night: Ooooh, erm. We've had 4 originals out this year, however to make it easier, we'll go for the three singles that we've released.

Amos & Riot Night - Interstate Four. Our first original from earlier this year and what a way to kick off the year than with our return to Giuseppe Ottaviani's imprint! Incredible scenes whenever Giuseppe dropped this in his live sets at the start of the year and still gets crazy reactions now! First time hearing this live was at Rong in Manchester. I remember being up on the balcony with Sue McLaren, her brother and so many of my good friends at the time and was like 'whooooah'. When someone of Giuseppe's calibre is playing your tracks out in front of thousands of people, there's no better feeling than that!

Vlind vs. Amos & Riot Night - Betrayed. This track was sooooo much fun to work on! Completely different to our usual sound but you can definitely hear both of our own styles in this collab! Definitely wanna do another track with Vlind in the new year (oh wait, we started one already. May need to properly tune that one up!) Was also the first time Armin played one of our dual tracks on ASOT too and the minute that happened, social media just started going completely apeshit! This and Interstate Four both peaked at No. 8 on the Beatport Trance charts and these were major achievements in our career thus far! Was a real pleasure working on this track with Vlind for sure!

Amos & Riot Night feat. Susie Ledge - Reunited. By far the biggest reaction in our own sets this year for a track which was a complete fluke! Originally this wasn't supposed to be a vocal track, however when Susie Ledge approached us last year about collaborating together, we couldn't say no! Susie had sent us back the finished vocal and we were completely gobsmacked hearing it! It was as if it was meant to be, especially since Susie really got the whole concept of what the track was all about too (and we didn't even tell her that, except by the title on the demo that we'd sent her!). Sean Tyas has been heavily supporting this in his live sets this year too and it's gone down a real treat! I remember being there with Sean in Leeds when he played this at Digital Society and even brought me on stage behind the decks with him as he'd played this out!

3) Best Artist in 2018(DJ & producer) please explain why you pick him/her up:

Amos & Riot Night: Without doubt, this year has been the year for Activa. A true legend and it was a real surprise to see his comeback at the tail end of last year. However every single track he has put out this year has been absolutely top! Really crisp, solid productions, ace melodic work and time and time again he has proven to stay one step ahead of the game. Cannot wait to see what he brings into the new year!

4) Best Remix in 2018, please explain why you liked it so much:

Amos & Riot Night: That would have to be Giuseppe Ottaviani's remix for Aly & Fila's track with Sue McLaren, 'Surrender'. Loved the original from tail end of last year, however Giuseppe's remix just gives that extra lift and packs a real big punch! Has gone off a real treat in our last few sets and the songwriting from Sue & Ste (Massa) really is something else on this one! A modern vocal classic for sure!

5) Best Remix that you have produced in 2018, please tell us why you believe is your best work?

Amos & Riot Night:   I'd only produced the one this year and that would've been my bootleg of Aalto - Rush. A true Anjunabeats classic and really wanted to give that modern edge but still staying true to the golden vibes of the Super8 & Orkidea remix!

6) Best Remixer for 2018, please tell us why you choose him/her:

Amos & Riot Night:  Definitely Giuseppe Ottaviani. Always applies his Midas touch when working on a remix, as evident with his remixes for John O'Callaghan and Aly & Fila from this year!

7) Best New Talent in 2018 (DJ or producer), please explain the reasons why you choose him/her :

Amos & Riot Night: Hmmmm. Good call. Would definitely have to say Metta & Glyde! Completely blew us away with their style of melodies, really solid productions too! Heavily supported by Sean Tyas throughout the year and very much reminiscent of the older Trance vibes from back in the early days but with that razorblade modern production.

Another new one that we've been really keeping a close watch on is a new kid on the block called Rysto. We'd received a promo of one of his tracks earlier this year and was blown away with how solid his production was. Since then, he's had some top quality releases with Degenerate and Tangled Audio to name but a few. Definitely one to watch for into the new year!

8) Best electronic music compilation in 2018, please explain what exactly you liked about this compilation(the elements you appreciate):

Amos & Riot Night: VII Vol 1 of course! Not just saying that because we had an original on Sean Tyas' disc, but it genuinely is one of the biggest compilations to grace the Trance scene for a long long time now!

9) Best vocalist/singer featured on electronic music track in 2018, please tell why you appreciate this singer/vocalist and why:

Amos & Riot Night: Damnit, it's not fair having to go for one so breaking the rules a little here and gonna choose 2 of them.

Firstly, Susie Ledge. What a pleasure it was working with her on 'Reunited' this year! As mentioned above, that track was a complete fluke, but one that proved to be quite successful for all 3 of us! Susie's lyrics are very heartfelt and her delivery when performing them is to sheer perfection! She's also had releases with some real biggies in the Trance world as well, most recently collaborating on ReOrder and Stoneface & Terminal's respective artist albums! I've been working very closely with her in terms of securing some vocal projects looking forward into the new year and it's been a real treat working with her!

Secondly, Sue McLaren. Her discography really speaks for itself and the tracks she's collaborated on have easily been some of our favourites in recent years! Sue's lyrics, whether written solo or in collaboration with other songwriters, have always seemed to give us the chills (and I mean that positively!) and again, her vocal performance on these tracks has been absolutely brilliant!

Both Sue & Susie are really lovely people to be around in person as well. It just so happens both of these vocalists are from the same part of the country; Newcastle! Anytime I've been up there lately, I've always made the effort to see Sue & Susie, but also our very good friends/fellow Trance folk Gareth Weston, Jak Aggas and Claire Willis too!

10) Best electronic music label for 2018, please justify why you choose this label and what was so special in 2018 about it:

Amos & Riot Night:  Degenerate Records by far! Not just saying that because we've had a release with them, but every release on that label has been absolutely top class! Very consistent and looking to work very closely with Sean Tyas and the Degenerate team going forward into the new year!

11) Best online social media for 2018 and why you believe is the best particularly in 2018?:

Amos & Riot Night: Twitter. Very easy to connect with fans and artists alike!

12) Your Best personal DJ Gig for 2018 (if you are active as DJ) and why you believe is the finest(if you have uploaded your DJ set on Soundcloud/Mixcloud/YouTube please provide the link):

Amos & Riot Night:  In terms of sets, would definitely have to say our set at Cuckoo in Nottingham. For this, we'd co-headlined alongside Dan Stone. Really educated crowd and I've had the pleasure of both attending and performing to that crowd. Everyone in that room is just beaming from ear to ear and you can't help but do that if ever you went to a Cuckoo event! Looking forward to their next event in the new year too!

13) Best DJ set from other fellow DJ in 2018 and why you believe his/her set was so fantastic?:

Amos & Riot Night: If one has stood out, it has to be seeing the return (for one night only) of Sebastian Brandt at Synergy in Glasgow! That set really sums up our style of Trance perfectly; absolutely brilliant track selection.

Dimitris: Can you mention briefly your plans for your future releases, tracks, albums, collaborations, DJ gigs for 2019!

Amos & Riot Night: Looking forward into the new year, some big things are happening for sure. Hopefully Paul will have finished his new studio so who knows, we may be back with new music as a duo. There are several tracks that need to be finished up so I've been working on them a little on my side. Hoping 'Out At Sea' gets a full single release on Degenerate, and that may be happening soon actually having heard from the boss himself!

Just in the process of finalising a massive vocal with Destia and a really big vocalist. Working on a couple more solo originals as well, plus some nice collabs lined up for the new year! Gig wise, we're back in Liverpool in February making our debut for our good friends at WeAreYou. Have had a real good time at their events as a clubber and cannot wait to play to one of the best crowds in the UK by far! Playing along a massive lineup including Sneijder, Shugz, Liam Wilson, David Rust and many more!

Really cannot wait to see what 2019 brings!

Thanks so much to Amos & Riot Night for being so kind to reply on this interview.

An established member of the Coldharbour roster, but at the same time, a new beginning; as Fisherman embarked on his first original piece as a singular act, with The Mission. The Dutchman sprung into life earlier in the summer of 2018, particularly with his tougher edged festival take on Markus Schulz and Delacey's Favorite Nightmare. And with The Mission, the energetic and anthemic tones feature as prominently as before. A fist-pump inducing lead to penetrate dancefloors and open air settings, The Mission had found an accomplished spot in the playlists of many.  A proud native of Venlo, Fisherman is equipped with determination to represent his patch on the global trance stage. He spearheaded the inaugural Airwalk Festival on Saturday November 10th; with the extra responsibility of providing the event's official anthem called The Jaguar. In a country where event themes and anthems have their own esteemed history throughout the years, The Jaguar impressively finds itself within good company; demonstrating Fisherman's track record in curating anthemic, dancefloor driven weapons.

Dimitris: Can you rate 2018 for you as a year with 1 being very bad until 10 that is perfect year!

Fisherman: 8 very good year

1) Best 3 Tracks from other artists in 2018, please give us a short comment for each track:

Fisherman: Nifra x Anske - Powerball. This track has it all: A sick mindblowing groove and a killer melody!

Gabriel & Dresden feat. Sub Teal - Only Road (Cosmic Gate Remix). A track with a lot of feels and yet still very banging. Always worked great on the dance floors!

Dennis Sheperd - Tafelberg. Very well produced tune with a very emotional breakdown and drop. But still remaining a bad ass vibe.

2) Your 3 Best of 2018 personal productions, give us more background info about them(please provide the listening link for our readers):

Fisherman: The Jaguar (Airwalk Festival 2018 Anthem). This track was the anthem for my own event Airwalk - Indoor Trance Festival, which took place in November for the very first time in Venlo

The Mission. My first solo release on Coldharbour Recordings and the track that went viral thanks to the raving nuns ;)

X. After a long period of silence, this was my first single, released on ASOT.

3) Best Remix in 2018, please explain why you liked it so much:

Fisherman: The Cosmic Gate remix of Only Road by Gabriel & Dresden. It has all the right elements. Feels, sick groove and powerful drop.

4) Best Remix that you have produced in 2018, please tell us why you believe is your best work?

Fisherman: My Festival Mix of Favorite Nightmare by Markus Schulz feat. Delacey. This remix is perfect for the big stages as it has a nice blend of trance and big room sounds.

5) Best electronic music album in 2018? Please explain your decision why you think is the best album?(b) Do you believe that albums are still relevant or you prefer singles:

Fisherman:  Day: Yotto - Hyperfall. Such a quality album. Pure progressive at it's best!

Night: Markus Schulz - We Are The Light. A lot of good vocal bombs on this album and they work really well on the dance floor

Albums are most definitely very relevant these days. They also showcase much better the producer's mind style-wise, than just singles. As they get to explore their own paths more.

6) Best vocalist/singer featured on electronic music track in 2018, please tell why you appreciate this singer/vocalist and why:

Fisherman: Delacey in Favorite Nightmare (Fisherman Festival Mix). She has such a good haunting voice. Amazing!

7) Best electronic music video for 2018, please explain why you like this video so much:

Fisherman: The Mission nun video haha. Best. Video. Clip. EVER!

8) Best online social media for 2018 and why you believe is the best particularly in 2018?:

Fisherman: Instagram. The stories feature can be a lot of fun sometimes to drop some stupid stuff, especially when touring haha

9) Best Twitter/Facebook/Instagram message you may have received about your music or your DJ performance in 2018:

Fisherman: Someone said that I rocked it solo just as much as I did with Fisherman & Hawkins. I mean, that's cool to hear!

10) Best Club event or Festival that you have performed there or you would love one day to perform there, please explain the reasons that influenced your choice of the event & festival:

Fisherman: Airwalk - Indoor Trance Festival at the Maaspoort in Venlo. A whole year of work we put into it with the whole team. It was the first big Airwalk event, sold out, and it was beyond all expectations!

11) Your Best personal DJ Gig for 2018 (if you are active as DJ) and why you believe is the finest:

Fisherman: Airwalk - Indoor Trance Festival together with Nifra. It was in my own hometown and seeing 1500 people going absolutely bananas was overwhelming! Especially as more is coming up in the near future. Airwalk is about to burst!

12) Best DJ set from other fellow DJ in 2018 and why you believe his/her set was so fantastic?:

Fisherman: Guy J at Airwalk pres. Guy J. It was 10/10! So much emotions he put into his sets and seeing him editing tracks live to make them hit even bigger was mindblowing. The "Airwalk pres." club nights are unique anyway because the DJ is positioned in the middle of the room, like Boiler Room. Very cool!

Dimitris: In 2018 the electronic music talent AVICII died and this has alerted several artists to become more health conscious. Are there any lessons to learn as an artist out from this sad event?

Fisherman: Balance is the key. And humour is needed! This scene is already too serious enough ;)

Dimitris: If you are DJ or producer who travels very often to perform Live in various countries can you give us your best Travel Tip for 2018 in order to survive the long travelling hours?

Fisherman: Good ear-plugs, work on your set/productions while flying or read a boring book to help you fall asleep...

Dimitris: In 2018 there was a big movement for revival of classic tracks and retro events have boomed with music policy of solely classic tracks. What is your opinion about events or stages only with classics and can you choose for us your absolute 3 favourite classics?

Fisherman: It's cool to have some classics on an event but I'm not a big fan of classics only nights. It's nice as a closing act or for a smaller second stage on the side tho for the fans. But I'd rather want to focus more on the future, which is more interesting in my opinion.

Dimitris: Can you mention briefly your plans for your future releases, tracks, albums, collaborations, DJ gigs for 2019!

Fisherman: Lots of new tunes in the making! I just finished a remix of Markus Schulz and Gabriel & Dresden's classic 'Without You Near' which is doing really well everywhere. People keep asking me when the release date will be haha. For now we will keep it for ourselves :P

Gig-wise we are going to do more Airwalk events in 2019, like the very first Airwalk Boat Party which got sold out within 3 weeks time!

Dimitris: Finally, what is your biggest wish for 2019 and give us your wishes for our readers?

Fisherman: 2019 will be game changing...mark my words. Calling out all Fisherman's friends to follow me on this crazy road!

Thanks to Fisherman for this interview. Thanks to Coldharbour recordings for arranging this interview.
