Armin van Buuren might not be banging out future rave tracks on a regular basis, but there's no doubt it will crack dance floors regardless. Armed to the teeth with high-calibre synths, pounding drums and a super-catchy vocal, 'Soundscape' is the hands-in-the-air anthem that will make the crowd roar until their throats are sore.

Nicky Romero's ventured into new territory by releasing his country-inspired release "Rise" with Stadiumx featuring Matluck back in August. Now the track has received two huge remixes from dance music legends Afrojack and Thomas Gold. Each version has a unique take on the song's upbeat rhythms and organic instrumentals: Afrojack turns up the heat with his signature driving house basslines and dynamic percussion that turns "Rise" into a hard-hitting club track, while Thomas Gold's melodic approach creates a dancefloor-friendly, uplifting experience reminiscent of festival progressive anthems!

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Nicky Romero & Stadiumx have done their magic tricks along with Matluck for the stunning Rise. Now is the turn of the remixers to add their glory with massive new versions. Afrojack cranks the stereo system with a powerful electro house infused version ready for big room mainstage action. Rough drums, sharp basslines, uplifting synths and great application of the encouraging and truly inspiring vocal. Afrojack has added his well known twisted beats and pieces to turn the track into a real mindstorm. Thomas Gold remix is another example of what he is capable to do as he adds his punchy rocking drums along with that future house basslines along with acid overtones leading to the atmospheric breakdown packed with nice strings, airy pads and uplifting old school piano chords. The climax is euphoric mainstage progressive house with all the right ingredients to keep the crowd interested jumping and shaking while they sing the lyrics loud and proud. #PureGold Love IT [/content]

Pop music pioneer Charli XCX has unveiled her new single “1999” feat. Troye Sivan, marking the pop collaboration of the year! Charli’s single news follows a defining year for the future pop mastermind after a string of celebrated summer releases, and Sivan, who is fresh off the release of his sophomore album, Bloom, which was awarded four stars by Rolling Stone and has already racked up more than 700 million cumulative streams.

A bass-laced juggernaut beaming with nostalgia, “1999” binds Charli’s commercial intellect with her innovative instincts, feeling as infectious as it does rebellious. Heralded as one of the most exciting and forward-thinking ambassadors of pop at every turn, Charli penned “1999” with Sivan – who is also featured on vocals – and the single’s accompanying writers - Noonie Bao, Brett McLaughlin, and Oscar Holter, who also produced the track.

The release of “1999” follows a whirlwind year for Charli XCX. Continuing her stint on Taylor Swift’s global ‘Reputation Tour’ alongside Camila Cabello, the trailblazer released a flow of music over the summer months - “5 in the Morning”, “No Angel”, “Focus” and “Girls Night Out” – which, alongside her electrifying, critically-acclaimed sold out mixtape shows, were hotly received by her devoted fanbase and media alike, firmly confirming her status as one of the world’s most essential stars in pop’s rainbow spectrum. Most recently, in her true entrepreneurial spirit, XCX unveiled a radio documentary for BBC World Service. Shadowing her in the studio and at recent performances in London, journalist, Kate Mossman, explored Charli’s duality as both a songwriter and performer with exclusive behind-the-scenes access. This marked her second documentary for the BBC, succeeding her thought-provoking ‘The F Word and Me’ – a film focusing on gender equality in the music industry, released in 2015.

Charlotte Aitchison, aka Charli XCX, has fast become one of the hottest creators of her generation and is the award-winning talent behind the multi-platinum and global No.1’s “Fancy” and “I Love It” and UK Top 10 “Boom Clap”. In 2017, she bookended the year with her ground-breaking, critically-acclaimed mixtapes ‘Number 1 Angel’ and ‘Pop 2’, featured on David Guetta and Afrojack’s global smash “Dirty Sexy Money” and released her standout summer crush anthem “Boys”. On the latter, Charli took full creative control across casting, directing and producing the accompanying official video, which not only saw her flip the traditional male gaze on its head, but featured an all-star male cast including Stormzy, Mark Ronson, Diplo, Joe Jonas, Brendon Urie, Riz Ahmed + more, with Charli XCX hailed as a paragon of progressiveness off the back of its release. To date, the official video has received 93 million streams.

The remixes are strongest that you could wish to get on your personal single. The French amazing man Michael Calfan adds his French disco house combined with upfront funky driving house grooves full vocal version with so much energy and feel good rhythm that you simply want to dress with your 1999 outfit and start dancing around as you imagine that you go back in your innocent childhood. So good indeed and instant banger. Alphalove continue to catapult the world with quality commercial remixes. On this one offer superb piano chords, uplifting groove, Ibiza style organ riffs and great rhythm and groove combining future house with even short trap style sequences. DJ, producer, and future house pioneer Don Diablo has delivered his brand-new single ‘Survive’, featuring UK singer/songwriter Emeli Sandé, and American rap superstar Gucci Mane.

Laced with Don’s deep signature bass-lines, ‘Survive’ is topped with the slick lyrical flow of Gucci Mane - the American hip-hop star who has previously worked with artists such as Drake, Mariah Carey, and Selena Gomez - and the emotive delivery of UK songstress and 4-time BRIT Award winner Emeli Sandé. Best known for her powerful ballad, ‘Read All About It Pt III’ which has amassed over 140 million Spotify streams to date, Sandé is also a two-time Ivor Novello award winner, and supported Coldplay on their Mylo Xyloto tour.
“I’m so happy to be collaborating with the very talented Don Diablo, says Emeli. “I love his unique creativity and his deep passion for music. It was a real pleasure to write and lay down the vocal on this powerful track. I really hope this song will empower people to find pride and confidence in their own story of survival.”
Regarded as one of the founding fathers of the future house movement, Don Diablo is currently ranked at number #11 in the DJ Mag Top 100 Poll, and has earned praise from an array of global tastemakers for major hits such as ‘On My Mind’, ‘Cutting Shapes’, and ‘Take Her Place’ featuring A R I Z O N A, as well as previously remixing the likes of Ed Sheeran, Rihanna, Bastille, Madonna, Birdy, The Chainsmokers, Coldplay, DJ Snake, Martin Garrix, Justin Bieber and many more.

Having released his second album titled, FUTURE at the start of this year, the Dutch star has since played at various festival mainstages across the globe, including sets at the likes of EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, and Creamfields, with further appearances at iconic venues like Ushuaia and Hi Ibiza, selling out his ‘FUTURE XL’ Amsterdam show in the process.
“It’s just one of those records that needed to be absolutely perfect, from start to finish,” said Don. “I wanted to it to stand out and combine three worlds into one. A Dutch music producer, an incredible British singer songwriter, and one of the biggest US rappers of today. I am more than proud of the final outcome and hope the music and the message of the song will motivate people to dream big and see beyond the clouds of their personal challenges.”
Providing a dynamic blend of all three artist’s signature styles, the incredible ‘Survive’ looks sure to dominate charts globally and is out now on Don Diablo’s HEXAGON label via Universal.

And sometimes I wonder...
How we got through.

Who knows what they'll ask us...
We don't need no answers.

Tom Brady with the paper I go super bowl Sunday
Usain Bolt crazy runnin' til the hundreds
I keep my neck and my wrist at least a hundred

Hood ****** with the money and they loving it
She got comfortable, she called me by my government
Pull up in the Rolls with the white seats
And pull off in a porsche like a car thief

I’m cocky beat that ***** up like Rocky
I fly to Amsterdam for the right fee
These dudes ain’t nothing like me they car thieves
I booked her for the night, paid her bar fee

Told her charge it to the game, black Wallstreet
Sharp blue cool with a shark fee
Once a millionaire can’t get em off me
Gucci Mane and Don catch me ballin' out in London

We survived the thunder...
And escaped the hunger
And sometimes I wonder...
How we got through.

Who knows what they'll ask us...
We don't need no answers.
Cause we stand and serve...
As living proof.

You got a fast car I got a dream of something
You are a hot wire I like to push your buttons
We gotta somehow get out of town

We drove for ages, never looking back once
They wanna cage us but we prefer our freedom
Call us outrageous, well how about now

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Don Diablo continues to unleash brilliant tracks and his latest one is aiming to touch the sensitive chords of the masses with the clever rhythm, sexy groove and of course classy vocals by the superstars Emeli Sande and Gucci Mane. The original version is closer chilling but still very rocking and full alert type of record with lyrics that anyone can identify as we all have passed from a situation that we saw ourselves as survivors. The VIP mix goes the club direction with punchy bassline, funky rocking wonky grooves combined well with the soulful sugar sweet Emeli voice and the superb Gucci Mane rap part. The result is a strong feel good record devoted to ADE survivors. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

Introducing 'Out of Time', Shane 54's emotional yet powerful track that is destined to become a Trance anthem. Featuring the vocals of Eric Lumiere (renowned for his collaborations with Cosmic Gate and Andrew Rayel among others), this track marks a new milestone in the quality of material we’ve seen from Shane 54, who has been on quite an ascent in 2018 with releases earlier in the year on Zero Three and Armada and support from the likes of Above & Beyond and Armin Van Buuren. Delivered with a soaring remix from Aussie producer tyDi, both tracks pack the ultimate dancefloor punch to round off the summer.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]One of the most beloved artist out there the awesome Shane 54 collaborates with Cubicore and the fantastic singer Eric Lumiere  for the instant progressive trance anthem Out Of Time. The original is proglifting trance at its highest quality with pulsating basslines, thumping drums, superb synths and emotional strings combined with vocal that stands out from Eric who shines once again with such a wonderful performance. Lyrics and singing makes the track the absolute singalong track of any trance night. It's one of those tracks that simple stand out.  tyDi is great producer but unfortunately his version despite being so nice its just very short. We would love to have an extended version of this very strong big room trance anthemic piece of euphoria. On the other hand SAGAN transforms the original into a modern future house weapon with melodic luscious breakdown  followed by wonky playful thumping old school bassline on the mainstage drop. Future house faithfuls will press that play button repeatedly and passionately for sure. #PureGold Love IT [/content]

From the Balearic vibes of the original taken from Chicane's 'The Place You Can't Remember, The Place You Can't Forget' album to the upbeat Swung Club Mix and two House-scented remixes from Danny Dove and Dean-E-G, this remix package has it all for the clued-up dance music lover. No matter which version you pick, this song will bring you one step closer to 'Nirvana'.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Chicane is one of the most important artists in the electronic music scene and his tracks considered as the ultimate classics that have influence younger producers techniques. His latest track Nirvana in my opinion stands out because of the so unique and superficially theatrical performance by Rosalee O'Connell. Her voice is so beautiful and the balearic style melody with the xylophones and warm atmosphere makes this track really strange that cast a spell on you and you feel totally and utterly addictive to its mesmerizing sound. Danny Dove is so talented as well and his version transforms the track into a powerful future house banger with balearic infused breakdown followed by rougher stomping future house bass driven drop.  Dean-E-G Remix injects 90's Ibiza house vibes with pulsating basslines, piano chords and great application of the winning vocal! #PureGold Love IT[/content]

Blonde have released a 3-track remix package for their latest single, ‘Me, Myself & I’ featuring Bryn Christopher. The UK duo have recruited the likes of Joe Stone, Friend Within and Vanilla Ace to rework their infectious track.

Released this summer, ‘Me, Myself & I’ has gained almost 4 million Spotify streams to date, peaked in the Top 5 of the UK Shazam Dance Chart and has received strong radio support from Kiss and BBC Radio 1.  The track earned Scott Mills’ ‘Tune of The Week’ and became a solid fixture in Mistajam’s Saturday Dance Anthems show.

Blonde are hot!
The infectious energy of ‘Me, Myself & I’ has now been reimagined by Dutch DJ Joe Stone, who laces his remix with deep piano-led melodies and bouncy basslines. Joe’s rework is of stark contrast to the darker feel offered by London-based producer Vanilla Ace.

Introducing brooding chord-patterns into the mix, Vanilla Ace, who has previously released on several iconic labels including Toolroom and Simma Black, brings vibrant twists to his interpretation. Friend Within’s own offering maintains Bryn Christopher’s addictive vocal hook, as he spins sumptuous basslines into the mix to deliver a real dancefloor filler.

Having amassed over 200 million streams in their career so far, UK pair Blonde have previously scored major success in the shape of ‘All Cried Out’ (UK number #4), ‘I Loved You’ (UK number #7) and Craig David collab ‘Nothing Like This’ (UK number #15) – which were all A-listed at BBC Radio 1, racking up over 1.5 million domestic sales, in the process.

Blonde recently performed at London’s Archspace venue for a sold out show in association with Club MTV. Next month, the duo will be special guests at YouTube channel Selected’s 5 Years party alongside the likes of Friend Within, The Magician and TCTS

 [item value="10"] Blonde - Me, Myself & I ft. Bryn Christopher[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] Blonde is definitely one of the hottest house duo at the moment and with true star quality in them.  Me, Myself & I ft. Bryn Christopher is their brand new track that has been played already by many well known DJs and got instant recognition. Now the remix package extends our pleasure from it. Firstly is Friend Within remix with chunky beats, funky basslines, disco infusions, uplifting piano riffs and on the drop a very energetic wobbly synthy line that adds extra clubbing feeling to the result and of course the excellent application of the full vocal for those singalong get together moments.  Joe Stone remix is very pretty with mainstream appeal as it has future and tropical infusions for the perfect commercial crossover house sound. Lastly Vanilla Ace remix takes things in a more minimal direction with superb dark basslines, electronic synthy riffs, strong drum percussion, superb guitar riffs and fantastic use of the perfect vocal. The result is a very credible underground version that is easy to cross over as well.  Top house versions for sure. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Kungs collaborates with Stargate feat. GOLDN for his latest smash Be Right Here. The original has smashed the various download and streaming portals climbing the top of the charts worldwide and now we are treated first class with 3 very worthy remixes. Tony Romera transforms the original into a pumping big room future house spanker with cool breakdown with the full vocal chorus leading to the stomping future house climax packed with twisted chunks of house flavoured beats. Wax Motif moves on the same deep future house territory as in the breakdown adds cool piano chords while the drop is more raw and rave infused with heavy drums and punchy bass full of attitude. Finally Mesto takes the track in the big room territory as he pitches up the vocal and adds rougher drums, heavy bass and quircky futuristic synthy stabs along with pizzicato riffs while the breakdown sounds more tropical and exotic to create the ultimate feel good record. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]One of my favourites single by Axwell /\ Ingrosso featuring the stunning Romans vocals and lyrics Dancing Alone comes back with an impressive package of high class remixes. Firstly the upcoming CYA service the beautiful melodic dreamy progressive version with pulsating basslines, thumping drums, bouncy grooves and excellent trancy approach of the hi-nrg synthy line that simply crawls under your skin and awake your spirit. Brohug remix moves on the rough electro house territory with raw fat basslines, crunchy drums and fat stomping grooves while in the breakdown the vocal and big synthy hook is allowed to create huge buzz on the dancefloor. Lastly Minds & Machines remix turns the track into a cool break beat production with pitched vocals, creative application of the main synthy riff and travelling inspiring sounds while the last part finishes in future house fashion delivering a retro futuristic approach. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

A merging of raw bass, piercing synths and an avalanche of dance floor appeal, Funkin Matt's 'Prism' has the Trice sound written all over it. The successor of 'Aeon' and 'Coda', this cut will make clubbers go crazy like never before.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Armada Trice is the label of high class releases that always pass the test of time. Prism by Funkin Matt is a magnificent slice of pumping house with future and progressive house influences. The most characteristic element is that little crazy synthy line that adds definitely style and will excite the crowd without second thought. The way that synthy riff is applied in the breakdown and slowly builds to the uplifting drop is for sure very effective and infectious. Actually I believe that this record deserves a stronger longer progressive house version as it has all the power to become something very big! #PureGold Love IT[/content]

Firstly Stace Cadet remix is feel good deep melodic dream house with nice piano chords, warm cinematic strings and from vocals only the very strong chorus that instantly uplifts you in an old school house way. Just Vague remix is a much more bouncy future house version with stomping basslines, siren like synths, chopped vocal loops, great application of the full vocals with very positive breakdown that lead to the rocking drop that any house head will feel dizzy with it for sure.  Please take me to Australia if you can, I wanna party with YOU! #PureGold Love IT  [/content]

Highly respected DJ/Producer Gerd Janson is back with a hair-raising new re-work of Awesome 3’s seminal rave classic

‘Dont Go’ with huge support in recent weeks across BBC Radio 1 from the likes of Annie Mac, MistaJam, Dance Anthems, Pete Tong and Monki with over 20 plays and counting, along with a #1 Cool Cuts chart placing and having gained a #2 spot on the BBC R1 Dance chart.

3 of the initial members of Awesome 3 (Nick Hussey, Pete Orme and the original vocalist Julie McDermott) have joined forces once again - adding Gerd Janson's subtle magic - the original has seen countless versions and remixes since the 90’s, but Gerd's 2018 re-work increases its firepower, adds beat stomping bass lines to compliment Julie McDermott's soulful vocals creating an essential radio and dance-floor weapon.

On the B side yet another hugely respected producer under new alias Smokin Jack Hill steps on remix duties which has also seen countless Kiss FM and BBC Radio 1 Dance anthems spins over the past few weeks. This is shaping up to be a huge release!!

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]The legendary house imprint CR2 Records releases the brand new remixes of the awesome classic Don't Go with the most feel good piano chords, superb rave style synths and rave breaks sound. Gerd Janson Re-Work has energy and succeeds on reuniting the 90's with the 2018 without sounding overworked or super digitalised. It sounds classy and groovy with slow breaks style beat, heavy basslines and superb piano riff to make you smile from the outset. Julie's vocal shines with class and you know that is impossible to leave the dancefloor when this tune played. Smokin Jack Hill Remix goes the more current mainstream uplifting house direction with future bass house infusions and superb application of the super well known piano melody and vocals while in the breakdown reveals the classic rave style sounds upon breaks. The climax is euphoric and super positive so you can expect the ladies to enjoy this track for sure with their pink handbags in the air. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] If you search for good house record just keep in your mind the name Low Steppa. The track Heard It All Before is absolutely out of this world. The original mix is a modern deep futuristic house with the superb UK house flavour and even disco influences to make it even more irresistable. The vocal is brilliant and I'm sure that many ladies on the dancefloor will sing a long and identify with the nice story. The Boiling Point remix is darker deeper more underground minded with metallic basslines, thumping raw grooves, cool organ riffs with jazz flavour and the excellent vocal as the right icing on that delicious cake for ears and dancefloors to feel the sweetness! Yummy indeed with high class standards! #PureGold Love iT[/content]

After courting big acts such as Anne Marie & Marshmello, Jessie Ware, Naughty Boy and Craig David with his ability to craft up infectious, full-bodied vocal House cuts, Kokiri is back with another record that strikes a perfect ten on the catchiness scale. In tandem with Canadian Pop-Electro act Dragonette, the Liverpool-based House guru once again delivers a song that sticks: ‘Faith In Love’

Helmed by deep sub bass and Dragonette’s captivating vocals, ‘Faith In Love’ sweeps clubbers off their feet right off the bat. Driving fans further into the sonic deep end with melodically impeccable synth plucks and strong beats, this cut has crowd favorite written all over it and marks a perfect example of how the right link-up can lead to a potential turned dance floor hit.
Kokiri: “Sometimes as an artist, you find yourself listening to a vocal over and over, desperate to find some inspiration at 3am on the 46th listen. This wasn’t the case for ‘Faith In Love’. As soon as I heard the vocal, I knew exactly how I wanted this track to sound. I wanted to create an ethereal feel to mirror the emotional context of the lyrics. I wanted the track to subtly build up in energy and then surprise the listener by having a drop that contradicts the delicacy of the lyrics.”
Dragonette: “This song is about getting through a dark time to the other side. Sometimes we need a reminder that things won’t always be the way they feel in the moment. There was a time when I was 100% convinced that I wouldn’t trust or love again. This song is my reminder to myself, no matter what I think is true about myself. Be open to being wrong.”

Nick Martin has rocked the finest festivals and clubs across the world including Ultra, Ushuaïa Ibiza and and opening act of The Chainsmokers tour last year. The rising Greek DJ producer signed to Amirn van Buren’s imprint Armada Music. After impressing in a big way with his remixes of Alesso’s‚ Falling' and Robin Schulz & HUGEL’s‚ I Believe I’m Fine‘ last year, rising Greek talent Nick Martin is back with his new track‚ I Don’t Mind‘!

Dimitri: When did you start your involvement with electronic dance music and which music style you are more affiliated with and why?

Nick Martin: I started in 2001 and focused on House music.

Dimitri: Did you had the opportunity to attend any kind of music production course or are u completely self taught? Do you consider that is essential for any artist to complete any production course?

Nick Martin: I had a tutor and i feel it is a great way to start. After that i learned through experience and YouTube tutorials.

Dimitri: In which label was your first ever release and how did you manage to attract the attention of the label?

Nick Martin: My first ever release was at a Greek label which noticed I was doing great as a DJ and they wanted to help me produce a song and at that point i became a producer.

Dimitri: Please pick for us your Top 5 tracks that you have produced and you consider them as being highly important for the progress of your career indifferent if they were commercially successful.

Nick Martin: Well my two favorite tracks so far are “Looking for Love” & “Shackles” I also still play “Red Lion” & “Sigma” which both make the crowds rage!! Finally my remix for Robin Schulz for “I believe I ‘m Fine” got me great attention!

Dimitri: Let's focus on your track I Don't Mind that is out now on Kontor & Armada Music. Please tell us from where did you got the inspiration for the track?

Nick Martin: I am trying to bring the old school house vibe back in the game. This is my focus now. Although I still DJ pure EDM songs and future house songs my roots are back to the Armand van Helden days and I want to make similar music with today's sounds/sonics. Sam Martin and I got in the studio and started writing what we called a party song. One thing led to the next and we finished this beauty in just a few days! Proud!

Dimitri: How long it took you to produce it and was an easy or difficult process? If you have faced any difficulties please tell us about them and how did you resolved them?

Nick Martin: As mentioned above the song took only 3 days to complete. The whole production process took probably a couple of weeks and I felt I struggled with some frequencies on the base line which ate into the groove and the impact the song had on a loud system. I went back and forth with the mastering engineer a few times which was frustrating. Through this process I  got convinced that I should start doing my own mastering in order to control the process end to end and so I have done my new song coming up next!

Dimitri: Which was the biggest challenge that you faced during the production of this superb track?

Nick Martin: Final master didn’t sound big enough and as described above this became an opportunity to learn more on mastering and do my own masters going forward.

Dimitri: Can you describe to us the steps that you went through the production of this track and of any other track?

Nick Martin: Well I am only producing 4 years now and every six months I look back and I say I knew nothing then. I have doubted my self numerous times and I have definitely become better from this. What I did with “I don’t mind” is that I wrote the song with Sam and I completely produced it with wav files(no midi what so ever) and on pro tools which was a first for me! I wanted to make the song more real and less computerised if you see what I mean. I thought it would be easier than what it was at the end. My new project was again produced in Ableton as the work flow is much more familiar. I think I am still in search mode of discovering the secret sauce. Hopefully I am getting closer.

Dimitri: When the track finished did the label accepted it as it was produced or did the label recommend you to do some changes or fix certain things?

Nick Martin: Accepted it immediately which made me happy. Of course experience plays a role in that as I know by now when I hand in a record whether or not they will have comments as I have had so many records turned back to me with comments. So I know the tricks of the trade in a way and avoid wasting their time and mine.

Dimitri: Is this track an original composition or is it based on a template from another track produced from you or another producer?

Nick Martin: Totally original.

Dimitri: Is the quality of this track higher than your previous one? If yes in what ways this track sounds better than your previous one?

Nick Martin: Quality is different. Not necessarily better. Cleaner more musical with more dynamic and a touch less loud and less distorted.

Dimitri: Do you have any friends or relatives that you send them the track before sending it to a label or if you are DJ did you test it in your gigs? If yes did you have to do any alterations as a result of the crowd reaction?

Nick Martin: I used to share my tracks. I don't do that anymore. But I test them live and watch the reactions.

Dimitri: Please describe to us the studio that you have produced the track? What is your favourite hardware and software set up? Do you have in mind any new gear that you wish to get in order to raise the quality of your production?

Nick Martin: I have my own studio which took 3 years to get where its at! I produce in Ableton and track vocals in pro tools. My favorite hardware is my Mac computer which is a beast and never lets down! I also like my Yamaha synth the motif xf8 which is fast easy and reliable. I use two set of speakers. My big speakers at PMCs and my near field mixing speakers are old proac studio 100! In my opinion absolutely the best! I love gear but for now I cant introduce anything new in the studio as I need stability in my work flow. Online  I love splice! Vst wise I love Diva now!

Dimitri: Do you master the track yourself or the mastering is task for the record label? Do you understand mastering as being essential?

Nick Martin: Sometimes a mastering engineer can add value but I believe going forward on doing my own mastering. It depends really on the vocals in the song. If I had in my mix down lots of vocal tracks I would probably use one the famous mastering studios such as sterling and weird masters.

Nick Martin at Ultra Japan
Dimitri: There is a growing trend of vinyl coming back for good. Would you like to see this track released on vinyl or any other of your future tracks? Do you prefer digital files or vinyl?

Nick Martin: I started DJing on vinyl and gave up in 2010 when I switched to CDJ. Its romantic but its not practical!

Dimitri: Do you have any future releases planned and when will be released?

Nick Martin: I have two remixes coming out! One for Hugel and one for Robin Schulz. I am also awaiting on decision on one original track with a famous DJ!

Dimitri: Please share with us your Top 3 best DJ gigs so far and the reasons that made them so special?

Nick Martin: Ultra Japan! Bangkok with the Chainsmokers and Green Valley Brazil! Huge crowds huge energy. In Japan despite the fact that was raining 30,000 people were dancing non stop. Surreal!

Dimitri: Do you have any more DJ gigs planned for the next few months?

Nick Martin: I am always on the road. Gigs start in October in the US!

Dimitri: Do you produce a radio show/podcast as well?  If you don't have one please tell us why you think is important for your career.

Nick Martin: Not really. It is important and I ought to start one!

Dimitri: Best piece of advice you got in relation to your career so far and best tip you learnt recently to make your tracks better.

Nick Martin:  Hits hits hits! Nothing else matters!

Dimitri: Can you offer us here your tips or more elaborated advice for any new artists who may read this interview and wish to get involved with the electronic music industry.

Nick Martin: Believe in your self and try to be original! And get ready for a lot of disappointment before you get some success!

Many thanks to Nick Martin for answering this interview.

Many thanks to Anabelle Kemplen at Media Nanny for organising this interview.
