Mondo's very own Darren Tate makes his debut on the impressive Black imprint with his thumping, progressive, peak time offering 'The Ark'.

This track has everything you'd expect from DT8, with a rolling bassline, 80's percussion, masterfully engineered tension accompanied with immense analogue sounds and beautifully haunting pads leading you to an almost orgasmic break, before a stomping finale of an outro. Perfect for any DJ's peak time set.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Paul van Dyk has a very busy schedule touring the world and bringing his innovative concepts. His label VANDIT Alternative has manage to build wonderful rooster of innovative artists and the releases so far stand out. Paul's return to the label is his collaboration with Sean & Dee for the mysterious Fragmentation. Energetic pulsating basslines, thumping drums, tough techno kicks and melodramatic strings along with hypnotic trancy synths and superb flow of melodies with an ethereal breakdown with ambient relaxing atmosphere and exotic little vocal chops leading suspensefully in the massive headbanging climax. The journey is dark, uncompromising, sweaty, dangerous and keeps your body at the edge of your seat waiting what is coming next. The progression of the melodies is incredible and with its 128 BPM tempo you can expect to see it on trance, techno, and house sets. Out now on Anjunabeats: Kasablanca - Am I Dreaming? (Øostil Remix)

Argentinian melodic techno producer Øostil remixes Kasablanca’s ‘Am I Dreaming?’.

Acclaimed electronic duo Kasablanca follow up the release of their second EP on Anjunabeats, ‘Lucid Audio’, with Øostil’s remix of ‘Am I Dreaming?’. The original mix was debuted by Above & Beyond at ABGT500 in October 2022 and became the duo's hit track over the past year. It featured in Spotify’s Night Rider, Dance Rising and Mint Canada playlists and also received widespread support from Vintage Culture, James Hype, Ferry Corsten, ALOK, Paul van Dyk, Lane 8, Rebūke and many more.

Kasablanca exploded onto the scene in summer 2020 with their collaboration with Lane 8, ‘Run’. What followed was a dream run: their debut album ‘Human Learning’, a Juno Award-nominated collaboration with Bob Moses in ‘Afterglow’, and joining us at Anjunabeats to release the ‘Immunity EP’, as well as remixing Above & Beyond’s ‘Black Room Boy’ as part of the ‘10 Years of Group Therapy’ celebrations.

The duo recently completed their ‘Am I Dreaming?’ tour, which took them to eight sold-out venues across North America, plus festival appearances in Brazil and India. Their live show (best described as Justice meets Queen meets Stephan Bodzin) is more comparable to a full-on performance like a rock show than a typical clubbing experience, replete with Prince-esque swagger and an extensive rig of analogue synthesizers on stage. They recently supported Above & Beyond at their sold-out Printworks London takeover, and will soon join our Anjunafamily pilgrimage to the Gorge for Group Therapy Weekender. Kasablanca also is making a return to Red Rocks Amphitheater with Above & Beyond this October.

Øostil has carved out a reputation as a highly sought-after act in melodic techno. He frequently tours alongside staple acts on the Afterlife roster and will soon embark on a seismic world tour extending over 26 shows across four continents. The Argentine has featured in both Billboard LA and Forbes Latin America, and his tracks have been spun by the likes of Tale of Us, Dom Dolla, John Summit, CamelPhat, David Guetta, Tiesto and beyond.

Düsseldorf was already considered a stronghold of electronic music in the early 70s. In addition to pioneers like Kraftwerk, there were also bands like D.A.F. or Liaisons Dangereuses, who still influence the electronic music scene today like almost no others. So it's no wonder that MOGUAI's and RMB's paths crossed very early on in Düsseldorf. During the first years of his career, MOGUAI stopped off every now and then in one of the legendary Düsseldorf clubs, where Düsseldorf's Farid Gharadjedaghi and Rolf Maier-Bode were also regular guests. Nevertheless, it took years until they found the time for a collab. As a huge fan of the original 94 version of "Redemption", it was no question for MOGUAI which song to release together. MOGUAI managed to keep the vibe of the original while giving it a modern sound. This song comes like an elemental force and draws us in.

If you ask MOGUAI about one of his favourite events, the answer comes quickly and firmly: Nature One. One of the biggest festivals in Europe has been taking place at the rocket base Pydna near Kastellaun since 1995.

When MOGUAI celebrated his debut at Nature One in 2001, he released "Supernatural", a fitting anthem for the festival under the name "Nature One INC". The song topped all the club charts for weeks and even made it into the German sales charts.

Now, 22 years later, history is repeated. This time he delivers an anthem with a clear message under his own name with "The Power The Chance". We have the power to change things if we want to. The future is in our hands.

anamē : Old Norse, meaning: to adapt
(ah-nah-meh)

Scandinavian production duo anamē join forces with Lydmor on ‘Someone We Used To Love’, the second single from their upcoming debut album on Anjunabeats.

Marcus Schössow and Thomas Sagstad have been planning, plotting and dreaming anamē for two decades. First coming together at a house party in Helsingborg, Sweden, Marcus and Thomas bonded over a love of artists (Sasha or early Tiesto), labels (Strictly Rhythm, Defected), ethics (“We both wanted to work hard for our dreams”) and ideas.

'Someone We Used To Love' sees anamē collaborate with Danish singer-songwriter Lydmor. A celebrated artist, Lydmor dropped her critically acclaimed album 'CAPACITY' in 2021, and won a ROBERT (Danish Grammy) for best song with her work on the film score for Venus Effekten in 2022. The esteemed musician has played on the stages of Roskilde Festival, Tinderbox, Northside Festival, Indie Music Week in New York and beyond.

Previously released as part of her album ‘CAPACITY’, Schössow first heard 'Someone We Used To Love' after his cousin sent him a Facebook video of Lydmor singing the original song.

“There was something so special about it,” Marcus says of the vocal and feel of the track.“The way she sings it, it's like you're in the story and we can feel her pain. It's one of those records that we've had on the hard drive for almost two years, and we keep coming back to it and saying: that is a good one.”
“And it has a little bit of a controversial bite to it,” continues Sagstad. “It's very edgy, rough around the edges. We just knew we had to do more with her. She's just one of those forces of nature that we knew worked with our sound.”
anamē got their new album campaign off to a blistering start last month with the release of 'Anywhere (Road Trippin')', recently added to Sirius XM BPM. Over the coming weeks and months, the band will be pulling back the curtain on how an album comes together, through their social media channels and on their ‘It’s a Beautiful World’ podcast series.

anamē & Lydmor ‘Someone We Used To Love’ is out now on Anjunabeats. The duo join Above & Beyond at their Group Therapy Weekender festivities at The Gorge on July 21-23 and will feature at all three Anjunabeats Outdoors shows in New York City, Denver and Montréal this August, as well as our Anjunabeats London and Amsterdam shows later this year. [content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]anamē continues to make waves in the global dance scene and the release of singles from their forthcoming album on Anjunabeats build great excitement as the tracks so far are brilliant. For their latest track co-operate with Lydmor for the melancholic dark melodic techno beauty Someone We Used To Love. The deep haunting basslines, thumping kicks, techy percussion and the dark moody synthy stabs on top along with the rolling synthy melodies and cinematic strings support perfectly the vocals that are out of this world. Her performance is full of pain and personality and it seems that work perfectly within the sonic soundscapes that travel mind, body and soul to places and spaces and highlight her emotional turbulence that she attempts to heal and overcome through this song. Exceptional electronic music that will stand the test of time. #PureGold Love iT [/content]

Coming hot off the heels of four exquisite singles is an album that showcases Estiva's impeccable ability to craft an engaging and unique blend of progressive, melodic and techno sonics, resulting in an album that is entirely engrossing and is sure to find a home on dance floors the world over.

Dutch producer Estiva aka Steven Baan has established himself as a leading name in the world of dance and electronic music since launching the project in 2007 through his prolific output and a globe-trotting touring schedule. After kicking off his career through a host of impressive releases on Enhanced Recordings he went on to release with the likes of Anjunabeats and Armada, releasing two highly-regarded albums, 'Spectacle' and 'Metamorphoses' in the process. His success found him performing at clubs and festivals around the world, including the likes of Tomorrowland, Ultra, Creamfields and Dreamstate.

In 2017 he put out his first two-track EP on Colorize with the sublime 'Repeater / Space Dust' and since 2020 has become a label regular, delivering a host of superb original productions, first-rate remixes for the likes of Matt Fax and Dezza as well as taking the reins on Colorize's annual Colorscapes compilation series for the first time in 2021. He has also toured extensively as part of Colorize's lineup through the United States and in Europe.

Now he unveils 'Infinita', an album that defines Estiva as a musician in 2023 and is set to be a benchmark for the crossover progressive / techno sound that he continues to pioneer. He kicked off proceedings on the 'Infinita' album campaign with a majestic first single in the form of 'On The Line' with Julia Church, a must-listen and album highlight that sees the two acts lock in to create a rapturous dance record. He followed up with further singles 'Via Infinita', 'Carnal Emotion' and 'Dreamer', with the full 'Infinita' album arriving in all its glory on the 9th of June.

It's an album that sees Baan embrace his influences with open arms as he explores a range of sonic textures throughout while never abandoning the core, club-ready foundations that it's built upon. The throughline between the album's tracks is their distinctly danceable energy which is delivered to the listener through various forms including the progressive sounds of 'Meant To Be', 'Via Infinita' and 'India', the techno-adjacent textures of 'Seven Six Four', 'Heaven and 'Ecstasy' - with the latter two serving as introductions to his new techno alias Cosmosky - the deep house sounds of 'Snow Flower' and 'Ghost Town' and then the upbeat, melodic nature of tracks like 'All Too Much' and 'Dreamer'. The album shines bright thanks to this diversity, with new twists and turns at every moment, and is also lifted to new heights thanks to the involvement of collaborators including Julia Church, Jess Ball, Diana Miro and RBBTS. Their songwriting and vocal talents expand the emotional core of the album, giving it a profound depth that further enhances 'Infinita' as a dance and electronic music triumph.

Hot on the heels of his peak-time remix of Eelke Kleijn’s ‘Transmission’, Joris Voorn is back with another remix, this time of DJ Misjah and DJ Tim’s 90s rave classic: ‘Access’. Already played in epic sets at Tomorrowland Winter, Awakenings, Ultra Miami, Mayday and Printworks, Joris Voorn brings a version of ‘Access’ to dance floors across the world that’s sure to cement his place in history among the techno greats.

Originally released in 1995 on acid and techno label X-Trax, which was acquired by Armada Music, the Dutch mainstay has reimagined the track with his signature hypnotic sound, bringing fans back to the heyday of 90s raving with a modern twist.

Listed as one of the 'Best Drops in Dance Music’ by Mixmag readers in 2020, ‘Access’ came about during the revival of acid techno, brought on by the Roland TB303 “acid box” re-appearing on producer’s records. Bearing all the hallmarks of a 90s hard dance record with its pulsing beat and the unmistakable “squelching” synth sound signature to the genre, ‘Access’ created a rhythmic sense of urgency that took the 90s techno scene by storm and stayed in heavy rotation for years to come.

On his remake, Joris Voorn says “Remixing such an iconic record that played such a significant role in the evolution of acid techno when it originally came out on X-Trax back in 1995 was both a pleasure and a challenge. I wanted to make something fresh and contemporary that kept the essence of the original 303 magic but had a distinct 2023 take that was more compatible to my sets. This has been taking the roof off at all my shows so I’m excited to finally be able to share it with you all.”
About Joris Voorn
Among the most renowned dance music artists from the Netherlands, Joris Voorn sits at the epicenter of the Dutch electronic music scene, representing underground house and techno on a wider global stage. Throughout the years, Ibiza has always played an active part in Joris’ summer touring diary, where he has held two key residencies at ANTS at Ushuaia and El Row at Space. Outside of Ibiza, Joris is a regular fixture at all of the key clubs and festivals on the global underground circuit, performing multiple weekly shows at events across Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Australia, Russia, Brazil, Colombia, Israel, Detroit, Chicago and New York. These include clubbing institutions such as Fabric (London), Output (New York), Womb (Tokyo), Fuse (Brussels), Faust (Paris), Warehouse Project (Manchester), elrow (Barcelona) Fabrik (Madrid), Zouk (Singapore) and Spazio 900 (Rome). As far as festivals are concerned, Joris has a long-running relationship with both the Awakenings and Strafwerk/DGTL event series in his native Holland while, further afield, he can be found playing at festivals such as Parklife (Manchester), Movement (Detroit), Tobacco Dock (London), Ultra (Miami), Mysteryland (Amsterdam), Hideout (Croatia), Electric Zoo (New York) and BPM (Mexico).

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]DJ Misjah and DJ Tim monumental track Access is considered as being highly influential and one of the most important genre evolving tracks that hard house, techno and trance DJs played back in the days and many producers are affected by it. Joris Voorn turns the original into a powerful 128 BPM melodic techno power stomper with deep pulsating basslines, pumping drums and hints of the original acid madness. The breakdown includes the cool shouting vocal samples and the euphoric acid riffs that can give goosebumps and excite the listeners big time. Jorin proves that he is very able to transform whatever he touches into his own style with distinctive sound and production techniques.
