NEW SINGLE: HALIENE & Nikademis - Don't Give Up On Me out on Black Hole Recordings
There are moments in life when hope isn't an abstract idea but something another person lends you until you can carry it yourself. That's the heartbeat behind 'Don't Give Up On Me', the first collaboration between HALIENE and melodic bass producer Nikademis. Inspired by each artist's deeply personal experiences with hardship, the track transforms those stories into an anthem of resilience, compassion, and refusing to let go  when life becomes overwhelming.

“The song's lyrics,” shares HALIENE, “were inspired by conversations I had with my parents during their battles with cancer years ago. There were moments when they were exhausted, overwhelmed, and ready to stop fighting, and I had the privilege of being a voice of hope for them. They had spent their lives being that source of strength for me, so it was so meaningful to return that gift when they needed it most.”

For HALIENE, those memories are the emotional foundation of the song. “Even though they have both since passed, those moments remain some of the most cherished memories of my life.”

The song's message immediately resonated with Nikademis, whose own experiences gave the collaboration a profoundly personal significance.

“‘Don’t Give Up On Me’ is one of the most powerful songs I have ever worked on. It speaks to me so personally,” he says. “During my teenage years, I dealt with several major medical issues that were at the time difficult to overcome and changed my life forever. ‘Don’t Give Up On Me’ provides a message of hope and perseverance - a cry to keep holding on, even when times seem darkest. It is a message that resonates with me strongly, given my past experiences, and I hope it can help others see that there is always a brighter day ahead.”

That shared perspective became the driving force behind the collaboration.

In HALIENE's words, “Working with Nikademis on this song felt like total synergy. He's remixed several of my original tracks over the years, and I've been a huge fan of his music ever since. This is our first direct collaboration, and it was amazing to discover how aligned we are in our mission to create music that helps people feel seen and supported… reminders that they're not alone.”

With soaring melodies, cinematic production, and an emotional core rooted in real-life experience, Don't Give Up On Me is a reminder that even in our darkest moments, strength can come from the people who refuse to let us face those hardships alone.

'Don't Give Up On Me’ is out today and is available to stream and purchase through all major outlets.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] Anki adds his unique sound design stamp on the current growth of electronica pop music that is populating the market at the moment. The excellent HICARI is on vocal duties of Just A Game. The track is a highly energetic with drum n bass meets breaks and dub step kind of energetic fast sound while the vocals on top add the fresh youthful unique and very sweet atmosphere that will please any ear that searches for carefree summer holidays type of track with the addition of strong guitar riffs to enhance its attraction and cool rebelliousness. #PureGold Love IT [/content]

"Stupid Kansas," The Bearded Man thought. "I hate this place! It's so black and white, and that one neighbor lady sure is a biiiiiaaaaatch amirite!? I wish I could get the hell outta here!" Careful what you wish for, beardy boy! Because shortly thereafter, a tornado stormed in and something something Wizard of Oz reference. Skipping a lot of boring parts, The Bearded Man found himself in a land of not just color, but TECHNICOLOR! Again, fairly boring stuff on its own. The real story here, the *real* story is what happened after he landed. He was greeted by Welcome Wolf, *obviously*, but then, much to his delight, he found himself face to face with dozens of the cutest little munchkins you've ever seen. The Lollipop Guild, the Lullaby League... the gang was all there. And boy, could these fine little people sing! With a serenade that would make a hardened criminal weep, their beautiful, pitched-up chorus was more than enough to get you going.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Get You Going by WELCOME WOLF moves within the trap/dubstep style of sound combined with soulful urban style vocals that talk about the obvious. The result is a beautiful extremely sexy song that can only bring naughty erotic scenes in your mind when you hear it! The future of music is bright. Love It[/content]

Getting it on with some atypical rhythms, laid-back vibes, and Jackie Jaxx' impeccably timed rap, Dave Winnel delivers yet another unassailable masterpiece. It is said that 'Money' doesn't buy happiness. But this tune does make you feel pretty good, doesn't it?

[item value="10"]Dave Winnel feat. Jackie Jaxx - Money[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Money by Dave Winnel feat. Jackie Jaxx is an excellent trap production with very tough bouncy freaked out basslines, breaking electro grooves and strong female rap by Jackie Jaxx that targets the radio audiences. With pretty obvious lyrics about what money can not actually buy you and great rhythm is one of those tunes that stuck at the back of your mind without knowing why, Judge remix has a more melodic touch with cool deeper trap grooves and additional colourful organ riffs that add that tropical exotic flavour. It smells like summer anthem. Love It [/content]

Sound Avtar’s new release ‘Machine Gun’ will almost make you feel like the lead player in a very thrilling computer game. You can picture yourself running down the street, fleeing whatever is following you while the police sirens are ringing in your ears. That said, it is also an immensely slamming dubstep track.

Voted Best Drum & Bass/Dubstep Dj/Producer by MYFAV Awards for the year 2012-13 & 2013-14, Piyush Bhatnagar aka Sound Avtar is an explosive force from the country’s burgeoning Dance music scene. Hailing from Jaipur and based in Mumbai at the moment, Sound Avtar uses cutting edge music production techniques, creativity and innovation and concocts tunes so monstrous that it’s hard not to take note of this young producer’s earth rattling productions and Live sets.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Rub A Duck is an established name in the bass music scene with great releases and the most prestigious artists in the genre that wins more fans every single day. Machine Gun is the latest productions from the safe hands of the Indian Sound Avtar who does what he knows best to put fire on the dancefloor and explode out of proportions. It starts with cinematic intro that teases the listener and attracts your ear as it builds tension and suspense along with siren sound effects and threatening sound melodies. The beat enters the proceedings and the bass is as fat as you wish to get with great distortion and twisted around enough to make you move without doubts. The breakdown includes the cool synthy melody that increases anxiety and tension of what is going to happen when the cranking beat and bass will come and lead the track to its final destination. If you adore dynamic powerful basslines and great sounddesign with cinematic atmosphere don't miss this banger. Love iT

Hectic’s new release on Rub-A-Duck will make you bounce your head from beginning to end. ‘The Ripper’ is a one-of-a-kind track with a huge sound, mixing UK Dub with heavy reggae and jungle influences. Definitely a must-listen!

Tim Fitzpatrick; known in the industry as Hectic, has dropped a wide variety of acclaimed tracks in a very short period of time, ranging from dubstep to glitch hop to garage and UK bass music. Hectic's previous releases, including the tracks “Complex”, “Evolve”, “Fatal”, “Sudden Death”, “Don’t Tell Me”, “Zone 10”, “How Could You” and “You Got Me” have established his name once and for all. His latest releases, the ''Trendsetter'' EP and ''Drop It'', as well as various tracks on DJ Hatcha's label, Hatched, delivered a raw, uncut and heavy dubstep workout to the dancefloors. Setting the pace with relentless beats in a spacious and rough soundscape, it is clear that Hectic gives a new twist to the dubstep genre. He has received radio play and support from BBC Radio 1Xtra, Kiss FM, XFM and Sub FM.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The top bass record label Rub A Duck is definitely huge success story in the music business. The label manage very shortly to establish unique sound and recognised identity from its followers worldwide. Bass heavy music is the name of the game for the brand new release by Hectic. The Ripper is an excellent hybrid of sounds, styles and influences in truly urban underground mode that doesn't afraid to go against the grain and explore new territories.  With superb reggae dub, trip hop and even dubstep and jungle samples the track will remind you Orbital, Tricky, and even Portishead. With melodramatic strings and dark, moody and sinister atmosphere is the type of track that you can easily listen in a video game or tv series. Its one of those tracks that you close your eyes and let your imagination run away wild and free cause many mental images come to your mind. Love iT

After ‘Milk’ his classic indie dance / nu-disco track, Ben Negative now releases ‘Love Comes Down’ on the Rub-A-Duck imprint. Best described by Ben himself: Metal. Funk. Disco. Nightmare.

Analog by birth and digital by design, Ben Negative has a story to tell. When asked to describe his music, rocksmith turned producer Negative simply responded "Its everything to me" and slowly wandered away.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Ben Negative after his Milk track on Magik Muzik returns on Rub A Duck with his brand new track that is called Love Come Down. We deal with a powerful energetic bassdriven track that has aggressive edges and includes influences from artists like Skrillex, Daft Punk and even dubstep. It's the style of track that the crowd will start jumping around when is played and will do some headbanging as well. Fresh, naughty, uncontrollable and absolutely groundbreaking is definitely an eclectic mixture of styles that will attract the interest and get many plays on the summer festivals. Love iT

Sound Avtar is back with a new EP on the Rub-A-Duck imprint. With his ‘Superhero EP’ he drops two tracks that both take a more laid-back approach to dubstep. Whereas ‘Superhero’ takes a more clublike turn by cranking up the speed of the track towards the end, ‘Twisted’ gives off a more exotic vibe.

His tracks “Scattered Light Tunnel” & “Cursed” have charted as high as Top 30 on the Beatport Glitch Hop & Dubstep Charts as well as have been featured under “Beatport Must Hear Dubstep tracks” indicates that his blend of diverse drum patterns, heavy bass drops and non- conventional melodies is here to reach out and map the globe with his music. Starting off with Black Hole Recording’s sub label “Rub-a-duck” Sound Avtar’s productions have graced many labels around the world like Hood Famous Music, High Chai Recordings, Monkey Dub Recordings, Straightup Music, Magik Muzik to name a few.

A regular performer around the Indian club circuit, Sound Avtar has been playing all around the country at various clubs in addition is to his infamous appearances at the Bass heavy stages of India’s 2 most eclectic festivals NH7 Weekender & Sunburn. Sound Avtar’s talent has further been recognized by brands like Beatport to feature his track “1 Up” & “Monster on a Rope” on there “MASHBOX App”.

Closer home, Sound Avtar was recently commissioned to remix one of the tracks from the OST of a Bollywood Movie - Gangs of Wasseypur 2 which further cements the versatility and popularity of this young Indian producer who is a force to be reckoned with in the future.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The fantastic bass producer from India Sound Avtar is back on Rub A Duck and he presents two really ace tunes that will keep satisfied the dubstep fans worldwide. The Superhero EP includes two very strong tracks that have certain elements that make them really distinctive, unique and stand out from others. Firstly Superhero is a powerful energetic bombastic track that starts with breaks/dub section with cool laid back atmosphere. The next sequence is rougher and wilder with some small sequences of epic synths that add atmosphere and melodramatic sound to the track. The breakdown includes great melancholic piano melody followed by 4x4 like faster section. The track finishes with attitude and great dominating powerful breaks like section. Twisted starts with summery sunny piano melodies supported by beautiful melodic synths. The first sequence is really glitzy, groovy and very funky as well with alien like distorted voice  on top.  The breakdown allows the main piano chords to appear and then finishes as it started. Futuristic cinematic video games sounds perfect for those who embrace the progress and see their potential! Love iT

#OakenfoldTranceMission

Dimitri Kechagias review: Paul Oakenfold is on a mission. He has in his mind  really naughty and possible task. He is about to retouch some of the biggest trance classics of all times and transform them into something really delicious, modern, more current and offer them his own futuristic and forward thinking translation. His biggest anthem Ready Steady Go! is the brand new single coming from his Trance Mission album remixed in by 6 awesome artists who attempt to offer their own flavour on the classic and as it sounds they did terrific job. First of all  the well known Beatman and Ludmilla transform the original into their own futuristic spacey nu breaks sound that has their dark cinematic quality. They manage to give us an unforgettable sonic experience with goosebumps and shivers too. Plump DJs 303Bass Mix is an anarchic chaotic remix that starts 4 to 4 and then moves to the breaks territory with acid overtones and harsh hard edgy basslines to blow the speakers and wake up your neighbours.  Justin Oh delivers his progressive house meets breaks version with electrified freaky basslines and fantastic breakdown with the massive rock guitar riffs, the original vocal samples and of course full on breaks sequence that lead us on the full on progressive house drop that will drive the clubbers berserk and totally out of their heads. If you search for the progressive house meets trance version Corderoy is on board and he does what he knows with demanding dominating basslines, chunky bouncy groove and excellent application of the rock guitar riffs and the western films sounding main synthy lead. Energetic, dynamic and absolutely mainstage injected version. John Dopping Inversion mix moves on the psy breaks territory and his version is darker, moody, grumpy and mysterious with fantastic percussion and relentless build up of sound layers in order to take the listener on a journey on the wild side. Lastly Shane Halcon vs Somna Remix is the big room / progressive trance version that will do big damage in the summer festivals with marching drums, electro edgy bassline and superb synths. If you search for the track that will catch by surprise your crowd and will totally lift up the place Shane & Somna did an incredible make over that the new eclectic generation of trancers will appreciate. Great piano melody in the breakdown sooths the proceedings and massive hands in the air climax with euphoric synthy stabs to raise the roof. We are Ready, Steady and GO with the flow! #PureGold Love iT
