Spanish DJ, producer and house music tastemaker Dosem brings us 'Answer' featuring Korean-American artist SOHMI. 'Answer' is the first single from his forthcoming album 'Desire', landing 30th August on Anjunadeep.

With a career spanning over 15 years, Marc Dosem released his debut album 'Parallel' in 2011 on former Hong Kong imprint Sino and first teamed up with Anjunadeep in 2018 on two-track single 'Not A Coincidence / Why Give Up Before We Try'. Known for his club anthems that have soundtracked late nights and early mornings on dancefloors around the world, Dosem has released on Toolroom, Armada, Purified and his own label Houstrike, alongside delivering remixes for the likes of Hot Since 82, Above & Beyond and Eli & Fur. He is also well known for his 2021 collaboration with Tinlicker, 'Hypnotised', which has racked up over 10 million streams across all platforms.

An artist who's always in demand, Dosem has already completed headline tours in Australia and the USA this year, and has recently played in London, Tokyo and his hometown of Girona. Alongside these appearances, Marc has appeared on festival stages at Ultra Miami, Sónar Festival, SXM Festival and Tomorrowland, and been supported by Boiler Room, who aired his set from Girona's Museu d'Arqueologia de Catalunya all the way back in 2017.

In the four years since his previous artist album 'Dream Decoder', Dosem has continued to finesse his signature blend of progressive and deep house designed to get people moving and bring crowds of like-minded music lovers together.

His new album, 'Desire', is heavily influenced by '90s progressive house and techno, and reflects their euphoric, deep, and atmospheric qualities through a modern lens. Across its twelve tracks, the LP explores themes of community, connection, and passion.
"'Desire' is my homage to and vision of progressive house, a genre that had a significant impact on me when I first started listening to electronic music. It is a return to my roots through an album that captures the experience of falling in love on a dancefloor, during the sunset of an eternal summer, where the rhythm grows like a wave until it reaches a climax of escapist euphoria; that magical moment of connection with oneself and with others. An album that blends emotion, rhythm, and passion. Desire is an emotion that contains those ingredients and is something profoundly human that moves us and drives us to act, an eternal vital rhythm that resonates with dance. A constant pulse that grows until it manifests a dream." - Marc Dosem
On first single 'Answer', Dosem pair's SOHMI's catchy vocal topline with a hard hitting bassline that would fit on a variety of dancefloors; the type of versatile production that showcases why he's been supported by artists as diverse as Hot Since 82, Gorgon City, and Adam Beyer. Other standouts include 'Ethernal', a collaboration with Anjunadeep favourite HANA on vocals, and high-energy club track 'Tranced House', which sit alongside deeper cuts including 'Cold Shores' featuring Carla Werner, 'Unjetlag' and 'Sensations'.

Genix drops the latest volume of his 'Warehouse55' EP series, out now on Anjunabeats.

The evolution of Damion 'Damo' Houchen, a.k.a. Genix, continues. The past two years have seen the UK producer release his debut album '199X', close Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Weekender at The Gorge Amphitheatre, launch his club-oriented ‘Warehouse55’ EP series and event brand, and sell out two headline Warehouse 55 events in London and Los Angeles. A return to the club music that made him an in-demand DJ, 'Warehouse55' embraces the harder side of Damo’s sound.

Released last summer, his debut Warehouse55 EP gained support from Joris Voorn, who spun 'Ba55 I5land' in his headline set at Awakenings Amsterdam on New Year’s Eve, as well as Marco Carola, Maceo Plex, Chris Lake, Joseph Capriati, Richie Hawtin, John Digweed, Sam Paganini, and beyond.

‘Warehouse55 (Volume 2)’ features two collaborative tracks with Dosem. A regular on Anjunadeep, Dosem’s penchant for pumping melodic and progressive house has seen him supported by the likes of Tale Of Us, Maceo Plex, Hot Since 82, Gorgon City, Vintage Culture, Yotto and more. The Spanish DJ and producer is well-accustomed to releasing tracks that ignite melodic house and techno charts worldwide, including a collaboration with Tinlicker, 'Hypnotised', the three-track 'Time After Time EP', and his club edit of William Orbit's 'Starbeam', all released on Anjunadeep.
“I’m so happy to have teamed up with Dosem, I’ve been a huge fan of his music for years. I think our styles worked together perfectly on the collabs. We both love those 90’s rave vibes and we wanted to add that to these productions.” - Genix
Damo kicks off an all-new Warehouse55 live tour this June, with appearances in London, Denver, Austin, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Seattle. Tickets available now.

Genix ‘Warehouse55’ (Volume 2) is out now on Anjunabeats.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Genix works always outside the boxes of music genres and his Warehouse55 project proves exactly how much he loves to experiment and push the  boundaries. Volume 2 is out now and contains 2 superb collaborations with Dosem who is on the rise with originals and remixes topping the charts globally. Day City and Night City are pure techno bouncers with thumping basslines, pounding kicks, cracking percussion and excellent acid layers to drive you all the way in the middle of the dancefloor. Excellent funky grooves along with techno toughness turn these two tracks into firecrackers waiting to put fire and energy on any set. With 90's vibes and rave sensibility is very hard to resist the urge to dance like there is no tomorrow. Accelarator is dark moody pounding in your face smashing puncher that will pump the muscles all the night long. The breakdown is blessed with big synths leading to the full on dominating climax. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

Renowned Spanish artist Dosem (real name Marc Ramirez) releases his new album ‘Dream Decoder’ on Anjunadeep. A considered mix of ambient atmospheres and melodic techno, ‘Dream Decoder’ was preceded by album singles ‘Tower’, ‘Megacities’ and ‘Eternal Summer’.

With DJ support from the the likes of Tale Of Us, Hot Since 82, Maceo Plex, Camelphat, Gorgon City and Solomun and tastemaker stations like BBC Radio 1, Triple J, and KCRW, Dosem’s newest LP is set to solidify his reputation as one of Spain’s premier dance producers.

With releases on Anjunadeep, Toolroom, John Digweed’s Bedrock, and his own imprint Houstrike, Dosem is a global player. He’s headlined Boiler Room in Catalonia and recently performed at Sonar, Ultra Miami, FNGRS CRSSD, Tomorrowland, Printworks London, and ADE, to name a few.

‘Dream Decoder’ features 15 new tracks of atmospheric, driving house and techno. Delicate textures and progressions rooted in modular synthesis are showcased throughout the album; ‘Soul Window’ and ‘So Close So Far’ are reminiscent of seminal artists such as Vangelis and Georgio Moroder, whilst ‘Megacities’ and ‘Dream Decoder’ up the ante with the raw, unrelenting energy that fans of Dosem know and love.

Composed during long stays in Tokyo, ‘Dream Decoder’ explores the theory “that links dreams to parallel universes and alternative lives”. Dosem expands on how this theory and the bustling metropolis heavily inspired the album’s forward-facing and diverse sound:
"I have always found the world of dreams a fascinating subject. Not only have they had a strong impact in my life, but they have also served as a powerful creative tool in my career. During these most recent years, I dedicated myself to keeping a small journal to remember them and to use it as inspiration for my music. At first, they seemed like abstract stories with no connection between them, but little by little, I began to find a code that linked everything…”
“In recent years, I became interested in the practice of lucid dreaming. This technique took on particular relevance during my various stays in Tokyo - a place that has always transmitted to me that beautiful metaphor between dreams and reality. I came up with the idea of making an audiovisual tribute to this wonderful city. So I started taking photos of its streets and its architecture, which at some point, served also as a gateway for those dream experiences. In this way, each song represents a dream, an album made of stories between this world and other worlds. A journey that tries to decode the dialogue between the conscious and the unconscious through music."
Dosem’s fourth studio album ‘Dream Decoder’ is out now via Anjunadeep. A limited edition of ‘Dream Decoder’ LPs is available, consisting of five club mixes selected by Dosem.

Dimitri Kechagias review: [review top="1"] [item value="10"]Dosem - Dream Decoder out on Anjunadeep[/item] [content title="In Our Opinion" label="Overall Score"]I consider Dosem as one of the brightest underground stars in the melodic house or melodic techno scene if you prefer. His album Dream Decoder has surprised me in many ways. Firstly while I was waiting some straight forward club bangers on his usual style of meaty beats, dark synths and bouncy basslines, Dosem came up with a concept album with great chillin electronic tracks merged with some fat dark club anthems. The description that fits the album is definitely the quality eclectic musical journey that has great starting point that sets the scenery and then as the story unfolds club sounds become more powerful, demanding to stand up and dance feeling uplifted with middle and an end. In the current climate of intimate clubs or without any club events the album sounds perfect for home or car listening while the DJs will play the tougher edgy cuts to their live streams. Marking his second solo release on Anjunadeep in 2018, Dosem’s ‘On Board’ EP sees the Spaniard embrace his trademark melodic techno sound across three startlingly different tracks. Leading the charge with the dystopian floor filler ‘On Board’, Dosem then shifts to a deep jacking anthem in ‘Externalizer’. Closing out the EP is the more mellow 'Moment Of Thought', an exploration awash with organic sound design.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Dosem is an established artist with his own unique direction in deep underground styles. His On Board EP includes 3 very strong tracks quite different from each other. On Board has a very demanding infectious groove and sexy rhythm along with atmospheric strings, dark airy pads and sprinkles of moody synths as well. It has great atmosphere and sounds perfect to create the sonic scenery you aspire to do. Externalizer is repetitive monotonous tech house track with chunky grooves, punchy raw bass and cool swirling synthy line running on top. Dark atmospherics in the breakdown relax for a while until the stomping beat returns to get the dancers for a nice ride. Lastly Moment of Thought is the perfect outro track for your set to calm the minds and say goodbye to your audience in a very sweet dreamy way. #PureGold Love IT[/content]
