Anjunadeep HQ's Track Picks

Alongside the digital and CD release of Anjunadeep 16, James and Jody have chosen 12 tracks to feature on our first-ever label compilation vinyl sampler. Here, Anjuna HQ talk about just a few of their favourites that they can't wait to hear on wax...
“OLING and Viggo Dyst's 'My Friends' was one of the most immediately exciting demos I’ve received in recent times. The held strings along with the track’s bouncy drums felt instantly timeless, and one that’ll be on repeat for a long time."
– Dan (Head of A&R)
“I'm such a big fan of Amtrac, he's a brilliantly versatile producer, and 'Love Always Had A Way' is one of his best. It has a slow-burning cosmic chug to it that I love, and is full of beautiful spacey sounds that build to a hands-in-the-air finale."
– Dom (Label Director)
“I first heard 'Levitize' by Dosem during James & Jody’s set at Anjunadeep Open Air London 2025, and it immediately stood out as a highlight for me. The vocal sample is really unique, and as always, the track features that signature driving bassline that defines Dosem's punchy prog house sound. I'm really pleased to see it featured on Deep 16."
– Mia (Project Manager)
“The level of support that Martim Rola and David Mackay's 'Sunday Sunrise' has received over the past year speaks for itself, lighting up a Sunday morning Space Miami terrace (where its name comes from) to a memorable Sunday afternoon at Greenwich’s Royal Naval college in London. The energy in the breakdown is where the beauty lies in this for me!"
– Dan (Head of A&R)
“Because of Art and Steven Weston are the best in the business. 'To The Heart' with Maria Metaxa is their new smash hit and ticks all the right boxes for me: wee bitta bass, wee bitta breaks and a wee bitta love."
– JD (A&R Coordinator)
“Continuing his seemingly never-ending hot streak, Ezequiel Arias teams up with fellow Argentinian artist FJL. 'Color Divino' is everything that Ezequiel does best; powerful, melodic, and progressive. The track has been played in all corners of the world on Ezequiel’s recent tours, at home in both small intimate clubs and at massive warehouse parties in his hometown of Córdoba."
– Tom (Product Manager)

Nox Vahn and Marsh reunite on ‘Nemora’, an uplifting, euphoric new single that feels like a natural evolution of their celebrated collaboration ‘Come Together’.

Originally released in 2020, “Come Together” has become a defining moment for both artists, amassing over 30 million streams and cementing itself as a fan-favourite anthem. It has recently been voted by fans as their favourite release across the entire Anjunadeep catalogue.

‘Nemora’ taps into the same emotional resonance and melodic warmth, while pushing their sound forward with renewed energy and refinement, perfectly positioned to connect with both long-time fans and new listeners alike.

Marsh is coming off a landmark year on the road, firmly establishing himself as one of the most in-demand artists in the melodic house and progressive space. In 2025, he played Coachella for the first time, a major career milestone, while also selling out two London headline club shows at Fabric (1,500 capacity) and 26 Leake Street (1,200 capacity).

In September, he delivered an unforgettable set for Anjunadeep Open Air London at the iconic Old Royal Naval College, drawing 12,000 attendees.

In the coming months, Marsh is set to perform at Lightning in a Bottle and return to London’s Fabric for a highly anticipated extended DJ set.

These headline moments are supported by a focused mini-European tour, with dates confirmed in Berlin, Madrid, and Milan.

‘Nemora’ is out January 23rd on Anjunadeep.

[review top="1"]
[item value="10"]Nox Vahn & Marsh - Nemora[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] Nox Vahn and Marsh’s “Nemora” is a masterclass in melodic house and techno production, delivering a euphoric experience that is as technically polished as it is emotionally resonant. From the very first moments, the rhythm, groove, and drive are immediately captivating. The track opens with a textured breaks intro over pulsating basslines, establishing a solid foundation that effortlessly captures the listener’s attention. The groove is meticulously constructed, with thumping kicks and punchy percussion providing a consistent rhythmic engine that maintains energy flow and momentum throughout the track. Each transition, drop, and build-up has been carefully designed to maintain tension and release, ensuring a seamless progression that keeps the listener fully immersed. The melodic hooks and harmonic layers of “Nemora” are exquisite, weaving together blissful synth lines, cinematic soundscapes, and delicate piano motifs into a cohesive sonic journey. The harmonic progression provides both warmth and a sense of wonder, while the sound design and production quality stand out for their clarity, depth, and spatial precision. Subtle effects and spatial design techniques, such as reverb tails, delay swells, and well-positioned sweeps, create an immersive three-dimensional listening experience. The dynamic range is balanced with precision; every element—from the kick to the pizzicato-like piano riff in the euphoric climax—sits in the mix with purpose, contributing to a track that is as suitable for critical listening as it is for festival play. The originality of arrangement and structure is a highlight of “Nemora,” demonstrating Marsh and Nox Vahn’s ability to craft a narrative-driven composition. The track’s cohesion and storytelling allow each section to unfold organically, guiding the audience through moments of introspection, anticipation, and exhilaration. The emotional resonance is undeniable; the melancholic undertones of the piano contrast beautifully with the uplifting melodic motifs, creating a bittersweet yet uplifting atmosphere that can deeply affect listeners. This synergy of emotional storytelling and technical mastery also enhances the track’s potential for mental health and wellness applications. According to research in music therapy and cognitive neuroscience (Thoma et al., 2013; Chanda & Levitin, 2013), such emotionally rich and rhythmically engaging music can reduce stress, stimulate dopamine release, and induce flow states. “Nemora” also demonstrates impressive versatility and usability in both club and fitness environments. Its steady 123 BPM tempo ensures BPM consistency and easy synchronization for DJs, while its well-structured intro and outro sections provide ample cue points and looping potential for seamless mixing. In fitness and wellness classes, the dynamic energy and euphoric climaxes can enhance motivation and endurance, aligning with findings by Karageorghis & Priest (2012) on music’s ability to improve exercise performance. The track’s immersive sound design and uplifting qualities make it a powerful tool to enhance mood, foster emotional release, and create shared peak moments for crowds, contributing to a strong crowd reaction potential. Ultimately, “Nemora” stands as a shining example of creativity, artistic identity, and technical precision. Its balance of melodic warmth, narrative cohesion, and festival-ready energy makes it a track with immense replay value, capable of lifting spirits in both intimate listening sessions and on grand dancefloors. It is pure gold for fans of melodic house and techno, encapsulating the very reasons why music like this continues to inspire and heal. #PureGold loveit[/content]

Genix drops five chillout reworks of his 2024 album ‘YOU.ME.NOW’ on Anjunachill.

A core figure in the Anjuna family since first joining the label in 2012, Genix has become one of its most consistent and versatile artists, best known for his club-driven, nostalgia-tinged productions on Anjunabeats. Building on over a decade of innovation across the electronic spectrum, he is an internationally respected DJ and producer whose career spans headline tours, global festival appearances and landmark achievements including Guinness World Records.

Following the success of ‘YOU.ME.NOW’ - which has amassed over 9 million streams alongside a 20+ date headline tour - the ‘Chill Mixes’ EP offers a different perspective on the album, swapping peak-time energy for immersive textures, warm melodies and moments of introspection. The EP features five tracks, with vocals from LYCA, Joe Haze, Zashanell, Sandy Chambers and JVMIE.

Speaking on the EP, Genix notes:
“It’s so much fun transforming my music into something completely different and giving it a new lease of life in another genre. Remixing club tracks into chill versions can be a really thought-provoking challenge, and I spent a lot of time focusing on the smaller details and adding depth and unique sounds. I even imagined myself lying on a beach with my headphones on tapping into that sense of relaxation and connection to the music. I’m really happy with how they turned out!”

Following their introduction to the Anjunachill roster last year, Planet of Souls now present their debut album, ‘Lumiere’.

Paul Rogers and Tom Barlow are established club producers in their own right, with remix credits for Sasha, Gorillaz and Coldplay; but their union as Planet Of Souls sees them turn towards orchestral, soundtrack-inspired composition. The duo and their collaborators combine cinematic depth, electronic ambience and nuanced songwriting across 11 tracks.

Australian production duo Planet Of Souls release their debut album ‘Lumiere', a cinematic exploration of light, darkness, and the human experience.

Planet Of Souls is the collaborative project of producers Paul Rogers and Tom Barlow, born from a shared love of analog synths, sound design, and the electronic sound of the ’90s and ’00s. What began as a therapeutic creative outlet evolved into a two-year journey crafting a deeply emotive, cinematic body of work. Blending Paul’s melodic and compositional instinct with Tom’s mastery of sound design, the duo shape music that balances electronic experimentation with human warmth, drawing influence from Jon Hopkins, Massive Attack, RY X, and The Chemical Brothers.

Their debut album ‘Lumiere' is an introspective journey through the contrasts that define life: darkness and light, fragility and strength, isolation and connection. Each track moves through a carefully sculpted world of electronic sound design, cinematic strings, and live instrumentation, creating an immersive, filmic landscape. The album features vocals from vocalists across the globe including Lily Papas, Nicki Wells, Samsaruh and Douglas Dare. You may already recognise their music - the album has already received support from BBC Radio 1, and their track ‘One’ has appeared on hit TV shows including Grey’s Anatomy and Netflix’s The Survivor, alongside other primetime TV productions.

'No Way Back' with Nicki Wells
Gentle guitars and shimmering strings are paired with Nicki Wells’ vocals on today’s new single. A new taste of the album to come.

Planet Of Souls on writing 'Lumiere'
"Our creative philosophy is firmly rooted in emotional authenticity. Every song we make comes from the heart, and when we write together, we both bring a lot of what has been going on in our personal lives to the session.

The second element that is extremely important to us is texture and atmosphere. We love the impact that sound design can have on feeling, even if it’s not musical. This comes from our passion for cinema, and you must look no further than the likes of Hans Zimmer and Ludwig Göransson for great examples of using sound design to create tension and emotion in a cinematic setting.

Another critical element for us is finding personal meaning in the music. This is why we absolutely love collaborating with other artists. Each of them brings their own lived experiences to the songs we compose. The lyrics and vocal performance of a singer we have worked with can carry a mystery, a hidden experience that created a memory they want to share, and a pain they need to express.

Connecting with the audience on a personal level is extremely important to us. We have had many people tell us that a certain song we have created hit them in a way we didn’t expect. Each and every one of us has experienced challenges in our life, and we truly hope that our music helps people in some way to think differently about the journey they have been on, and most importantly to keep going. If we can keep doing this, we will feel like we are making a difference, and that’s what counts for us."
– Paul and Tom (Planet Of Souls)

Planet Of Souls is the new project from producers Paul Rogers and Tom Barlow, created to merge emotive songwriting with cinematic electronic production. With a shared love of analog synths and ’90s/’00s electronica, their sound draws on influences from Jon Hopkins and Massive Attack to RY X and The Chemical Brothers. Though newly formed, the duo bring decades of experience: Rogers has worked with UNKLE, Sasha, Pete Tong, and Gorillaz, with recent collaborations supported on BBC Radio 1 and SiriusXM, while Barlow’s releases have appeared on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat, earning praise from Carl Cox.

Their single ‘One’ features the ethereal, emotional vocals of Australian singer-songwriter Lily Papas. With a background in major-label releases, festival and TV performances, and collaborations with brands like Dior, Papas continues to carve her space as a distinctive voice in pop music.

The original ‘One’ has already gained support from BBC Radio 1’s Sian Eleri and outlets including NOTION and DMY. Now, Jody Wisternoff transforms the track into a driving, melodic remix. A regular face in the Anjuna label family, Wisternoff is celebrated for his emotive, club-ready productions and has toured internationally, performing at major festivals and sold-out venues across Europe, North America, and Asia.

‘One (Jody Wisternoff Remix)’ is out now on Anjunachill.

[item value="10"]Planet Of Souls & Lily Papas - One (Jody Wisternoff Remix) [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] Jody Wisternoff’s remix of Planet Of Souls’ single “One” featuring Lily Papas is a masterclass in progressive house production that every DJ in the genre should consider adding to their setlists. Clocking in at a perfectly club-friendly 126 BPM, the track strikes a balance between hypnotic groove and emotional depth, making it adaptable for both warm-up and peak-hour moments. From a technical standpoint, the remix opens with chunky, tightly compressed kick drums that establish a solid foundation, accompanied by subtle percussive layers and techy hi-hats that gradually build energy without overcrowding the spectrum. The wobbly basslines are meticulously sidechained to the kick, creating a dynamic low-end pulse that drives the track forward with a fluid motion, a hallmark of Wisternoff’s production style. The melodic content is where this remix truly shines. Cinematic string swells and emotional piano progressions weave around Lily Papas’ ethereal vocals, which are treated with lush reverb and spatial stereo delays to create a floating, almost dreamlike texture in the mid-to-high frequencies. The breakdowns highlight these atmospheric elements, giving the crowd room to breathe before slamming back into the rolling progressive groove. Additional production touches—like filtered sweeps, subtle risers, and ambient FX layers—ensure seamless transitions and maintain a sense of sonic storytelling throughout. For progressive house DJs, this track is a versatile weapon: its dark yet warm emotional tone makes it perfect for creating that deep, immersive journey on the dancefloor. The polished mixdown ensures it will translate beautifully on large sound systems, with bass presence that fills the room without muddying the vocal clarity. Wisternoff’s attention to dynamic range, stereo imaging, and groove tightness elevates this remix from a simple club track to a set-defining moment. In short, “One” (Jody Wisternoff Remix) is an essential addition to any progressive set, combining emotional resonance with dancefloor functionality—an ideal track to awaken the senses and keep the crowd moving. #PureGold Love IT [/content]

After releasing his acclaimed studio album 'Welcome To My World' in December, Bristol dance music legend Jody Wisternoff returns with a fresh perspective - this time, slowing things down.

Drawing on his long-standing love for downtempo and ambient music, Jody reinterprets the album’s tracks into chilled versions that highlight the originals’ melodic and emotive elements. Infused with lush pads, broken beats, and atmospheric textures, the Chill Mixes offer an introspective take on the album, showcasing Jody’s signature musicality in a different form.
“When I was mixing the original album, I’d sometimes mute the drum groups and be surprised at how full the tracks still sounded without the beats. I’ve always had a deep love for chill-out and ambient music - from the early Café del Mar compilations through to The Orb, KLF, Future Sound of London, and Nick Warren’s classic 'Back to Mine'. Those sounds were hugely influential in the ’90s, both as immersive post-clubbing soundtracks and as timeless listening experiences. So when the guys announced Anjunachill, it felt like the perfect opportunity to revisit the album and reimagine it in that spirit - rearranging, adding, stripping back, even playing with tempo - to create a more relaxing version while staying true to its core essence. I really hope you enjoy the listening experience as much as I enjoyed making it.”

“’Welcome to My World’ is an open invitation to step into my musical universe, gradually shaped over the 35 years I’ve spent in the game. For personal reasons, it also serves as a sonic timestamp - something I can look back on when I reach my twilight years.

While I was writing it, I felt the melodic elements in the tracks really stood out on their own. When Anjuna announced the chill label subsidiary, the idea for this companion release was cemented in my mind. I selected eight tracks that I felt best lent themselves to this format and got to work.” - Jody Wisternoff
Released in December, 'Welcome To My World' has amassed over 5 million streams and earned support from Gorgon City, Super Flu, Eelke Kleijn, Nick Warren, and Tim Green. The album also gained global recognition at radio, including on SiriusXM Chill, and reached the top 5 on Beatport's Dance, Breaks, Electronica, and Organic House charts.

Now, Anjunachill is delighted to press ‘Welcome To My World’ (Chill Mixes) to vinyl. Limited to 300 copies, this vinyl is exclusive to the Anjuna Music Store and is pressed on 1xLP transparent turquoise vinyl.

This laidback offering from a label great is a fantastic listen and a real collector’s item. Pre-order your copy now, while stocks last.

'Welcome To My World '(Chill Mixes) is out now on Anjunachill.

[item value="10"]Jody Wisternoff - Welcome To My World (Chill mixes)[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Jody Wisternoff’s Welcome to My World: The Chill Mixes is a masterclass in atmospheric electronic music, offering a blissful escape for anyone who values immersive chill-out experiences. Known for his work with Way Out West and his deep house productions, Wisternoff here crafts a sonic journey that is both intimate and expansive. The album opens with “Ease Yourself (Chill Mix)”, featuring RYTERBAND, which immediately sets a tranquil tone with soft vocals and soothing rhythms. “Otherworld (Chill Mix)”, in collaboration with Nox Vahn, leans into ethereal textures, creating a feeling of drifting through a dreamscape. Tracks like “Another Moonlight” and “A Warm Glow”, both featuring bailey, are lush and emotive, wrapping listeners in warm, downtempo layers that feel almost cinematic. Instrumental highlights like “Fallen Tears (Chill Mix)” and “Sweetest Thing (Chill Mix)” showcase Wisternoff’s talent for blending melodic progression with delicate sound design, while “The Sky Below (Chill Mix)”, featuring ALLKNIGHT, adds a gentle vocal lift that enhances its weightless quality. Closing with “Tales From Beyond (Chill Mix)”, alongside Nox Vahn and Natascha Polké, the album ends on a note that is both mysterious and serene, leaving an afterglow of reflective calm. What makes this album essential for chill-out music fans is its perfect balance of emotional depth and sonic tranquility. Wisternoff’s ability to transform his progressive sensibilities into laid-back, meditative compositions sets this collection apart. It’s equally suited for late-night listening, introspection, or creating a peaceful ambiance, making it a standout in the chill-out genre. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

Introducing 'Anjunachill 01 (Mixed by Above & Beyond)', the first release in a new compilation series from Anjunachill that captures the past, present, and future of the label's chillout sound.

The compilation is available March 3, 2025, and will be accompanied by a six-track limited-run vinyl sampler.

For over two decades, the Anjunabeats Volume and Anjunadeep mix compilations have become more than just various artist albums, they have become cherished traditions that have captured the sound of those imprints in any given moment in time. They have become sonic landmarks that define the heart and soul of our labels - bringing together an eclectic selection of artists and records that shape the very fabric of Anjuna.

Having mixed the first instalment of the Anjunadeep compilation series and every Anjunabeats Volume these past two decades, Above & Beyond now present the inaugural mix in this new series with 'Anjunachill 01'. Curated and mixed by Above & Beyond, the 'Anjunachill 01' compilation opens with the group's latest ambient track, 'Shall We Begin,' released in January 2025 to mark the relaunch of the label (formerly known as Reflections) and kick off the celebrations of 25 years of Anjuna. The mix also features music from beloved Anjuna artists such as Jody Wisternoff & James Grant, Dusky, Leaving Laurel, Yotto, and Croquet Club, alongside recent standout releases from Anjunachill like Cephas Azariah's 'Joy Paradox' and an exclusive remix from prolific neoclassical composer Peter Sandberg of a track lifted from Mark Barrott's recent LP 'Everything Changes, Nothing Ends'.

In addition to celebrating its history, 'Anjunachill 01' also introduces unreleased music from artists who are new to the label. Highlights include tracks from Planet of Souls, the downtempo alias of producer Paul Rogers (known for his work with N.E.R.D., Gorillaz, and Pete Tong) and sound design expert Tom Barlow; new music from Anjunabeats favorite PROFF; Redkat (Riccardo Derio of Alex Sonata & The Rio); and Ad Harmonium, a South African composer duo consisting of one half of the electronic outfit Archaellum and felthabit.

Combined with timeless gems, 'Anjunachill 01' celebrates the label's rich heritage in this genre while looking ahead to the next generation of artists shaping its future in 2025 and beyond.

Introducing Anjunachill

We’ve always felt that the best music is timeless. It has a certain power. Ambient music has been a part of Anjuna and Above & Beyond from the start, since our first album ‘Tri-State’. On most of our albums we’ve had some beatless or ambient pieces. It felt right.

Music can be really comforting and healing, especially living in this hectic world. More ambient and peaceful music has always helped us stay grounded and find peace.

It’s quite amazing looking back over these 25 years and seeing so many timeless pieces of work on our labels and how they still have that same feeling.

Ambient and beatless music has been integral to Anjuna’s story so far. It deserves a whole label. It deserves a big part in the Anjuna universe.

So we’re kickstarting our 25th anniversary and bringing our labels together. Our ambient imprint Reflections becomes Anjunachill and shows how important chillout music is to us as a label.

The first track on Anjunachill is something from us, aptly named ‘Shall We Begin’. Pre-save it here

We’re really excited about this new phase of Anjunachill and can’t wait to share it with you.

Jono, Paavo and Tony x
