Following the success of his acclaimed album 'Life at Full Speed', San Francisco native Luttrell unveils a stellar remix package, featuring fresh reworks from Dusky, Super Flu, Talee, and Jack Lazarus.
Opening the collection, UK powerhouse duo Dusky return to Anjunadeep with a dynamic reimagining of ‘Space'. Retaining the original’s echoing vocal sample, they introduce a driving bassline and broken percussion. With over a decade of experience and four celebrated studio albums, including their latest LP ‘Pressure' and the debut classic 'Stick By This', Dusky have solidified their status as key figures in electronic music. Their tracks continue to receive support from SiriusXM and BBC Radio 1, with Pete Tong naming their recent single 'Keep On' as an Essential New Tune.
German duo Super Flu make their Anjunadeep debut with a hypnotic remix of 'Something Right' featuring Molly Moonwater. With two decades in the industry, they’ve released on esteemed labels such as Last Night On Earth, Nervous Records, REALM, and Get Physical, while also releasing music under their own imprints, Monaberry and Didschn. Their productions have gained support from industry heavyweights including Black Coffee, Diplo, Joris Voorn, and MEDUZA. The original track, which became a standout on the album with multiple BBC Radio 1 plays, is given new life as Super Flu infuse it with percussive grooves and Molly Moonwater’s ethereal vocals.
Rotterdam-born producer and live act Talee delivers his own take on ‘Go'. First making waves with his remix of Belgian trance DJ Jonas Steer’s Fall to Pieces, Talee has since released on Anjunachill and Anjunadeep, including his recent 'One Step at a Time EP'. His remix blends a chugging bassline and acid-inspired leads with Luttrell’s distinct vocals, showcasing his unique and evolving sound.
Closing out the package is Jack Lazarus with his remix of Make U Happy. Lazarus caught attention when he won Luttrell’s Make U Happy remix competition, impressing with his fresh take on the track. Luttrell debuted the remix during his Anjunadeep Open Air Mexico set, where it received an enthusiastic response from fans.
Released in October, 'Life at Full Speed' has garnered widespread acclaim, amassing over 12 million streams to date. Its singles received strong support on BBC Radio 1 and SiriusXM Chill, alongside key placements on major DSP playlists. Following the completion of Phase 1 of his album tour, Luttrell now gears up for Phase 2, kicking off in India before heading to Australia, North America, and Europe.
A pairing that fans of both artists have been hoping for is finally here as Joris Voorn and YOTTO team up on ‘Seventeen,’ featuring vocals from Harry McVeigh of UK rock band, White Lies. Ever since their iconic B2B at Tomorrowland 2024, Joris and YOTTO have been craving to release a track that captures their vibrant chemistry. But it wasn’t until Joris discovered the evocative vocals of the frontman of the legendary UK band that the perfect project came to life.
Following his remix of Eelke Kleijn’s 'Transmission' and the atmospheric Tom Walker collab 'Burn', Joris recently took the stage at Tomorrowland Winter and Miami Music Week, solidifying his status as a global tastemaker. Riding on a high wave, he now delivers a strong contender for 2025’s song of the summer. 'Seventeen' brings together three musical titans in a melodic house track, combining soaring chord progressions with nostalgic, emotionally driven vocals that speak to the highs and lows of adolescence. Dimitris Kechagias Review: [review top="1"] [item value="10"]Joris Voorn x YOTTO x White Lies - Seventeen[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]JJoris Voorn and YOTTO’s collaboration on ‘Seventeen,’ featuring the evocative vocals of Harry McVeigh from UK rock band White Lies, is a masterclass in deep melodic house production. This track elegantly fuses emotion-laden melodies with meticulous technical craftsmanship, showcasing the duo’s prowess in electronic music production. At the core of ‘Seventeen’ lies its pulsating 126 BPM tempo, a sweet spot for melodic house that allows both dynamic energy and emotional depth. The track opens with warm, cinematic strings layered over subtle ambient textures, setting a dreamy and immersive tone. This atmospheric introduction gradually builds, guided by playful percussive elements and crisp hi-hats that introduce a rhythmic complexity without overwhelming the melodic narrative. The foundation of ‘Seventeen’ is its deep, resonant bassline—crafted with precision to provide a rolling groove that seamlessly interlocks with thumping kick drums. These kicks are carefully side-chained with the bass to create that quintessential pumping effect, a hallmark of well-produced house music. The use of analog synths adds warmth and character, with soaring chord progressions that rise and fall, emulating the emotional highs and lows that the track lyrically explores. Production-wise, the track benefits from layered synthesis techniques, where multiple synth patches are stacked to create rich, textured harmonies. The melodic elements are complemented by live-recorded guitar licks, which are processed with reverb and slight delay effects to enhance their spatial presence, giving the track a live, organic feel amidst its electronic framework. The standout feature, however, is Harry McVeigh’s vocal performance. His emotionally charged delivery is treated with subtle reverb and delay tails, ensuring clarity while blending seamlessly into the mix. Vocal chops and harmonies are skillfully woven throughout the track, adding depth without detracting from the main vocal line. Mixing techniques employed in ‘Seventeen’ emphasize clarity and balance. The dynamic range is carefully managed, with tasteful compression applied to maintain energy while preserving the natural dynamics of each element. The final mastering process polishes the track, enhancing its loudness for club play without sacrificing the intricate details that make it equally captivating on headphones or radio. With its blend of technical sophistication and emotional resonance, ‘Seventeen’ is more than just a summer anthem—it’s an exemplar of modern melodic house production, poised to resonate with audiences on dance floors and airwaves alike. #PurePerfection #LoveiT[/content]

Dimitris Kechagias Review: [review top="1"] [item value="10"]Eelke Kleijn feat. Josha Daniel - Lost In The Deep[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Eelke Kleijn’s ‘Lost In The Deep’, the seventh single from his forthcoming album ‘Connected’, is a masterclass in blending technical precision with emotive resonance. This indie dance/deep melodic house track operates at a meticulously calibrated 126 BPM, providing a rhythmic foundation that’s both driving and hypnotic. The track’s production process reveals Kleijn’s signature approach to sound design—where organic elements intersect seamlessly with electronic textures, giving the track its distinctive live-like feel. The backbone of ‘Lost In The Deep’ lies in its groovy, well-structured basslines that pulse with warmth and depth. Kleijn employs sidechain compression techniques to allow the bass to breathe dynamically with the kick drum, creating that classic, undulating house groove. The kick itself is deep and moody, crafted using layered samples with subtle saturation to give it a punch without overwhelming the mix, maintaining a playful yet grounded vibe. Guitar riffs weave through the composition, adding an unexpected but refreshing indie touch. These riffs are processed with delay and reverb effects to create spatial depth, enhancing the ethereal quality of the track. Automation of these effects helps in building tension and release throughout the song, keeping the listener engaged from start to finish. Josha Daniel’s vocals are the ethereal thread tying the sonic elements together. Recorded with high-fidelity condenser microphones to capture every nuanced inflection, the vocals are then treated with reverb and slight pitch modulation to achieve a hypnotic, otherworldly quality. The mixing process ensures these vocals sit prominently without clashing with the lush instrumental layers. Additionally, subtle background textures—like atmospheric pads and filtered synth sweeps—are intricately woven into the soundscape. These elements are introduced and modulated through meticulous automation, giving the track a dynamic, evolving feel that mirrors the emotional journey Kleijn aims to convey. ‘Lost In The Deep’ isn’t just a track; it’s an immersive experience, showcasing Eelke Kleijn’s prowess in marrying technical sophistication with heartfelt musical storytelling. The result is a vibrant, danceable track that moves both the body and the soul. #PureGold Love iT[/content]

About HUGEL
Born and raised in Marseille, a vibrant port city by the Mediterranean Sea in the South of France, HUGEL's musical journey was shaped by the rhythms of funk, disco, and soul. His mother, a passionate lover of classic music, instilled in him a deep appreciation for these genres from an early age. However, it wasn’t until he was 16 years old that he discovered his true calling—DJing.
Growing up in a city known for its diverse cultures and lively energy, HUGEL quickly became captivated by the world of vinyl records, immersing himself in the underground electronic music scene. Early influences like Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Daft Punk, Amine Edge, and David Guetta were key in shaping his musical identity. With a natural ear for rhythm and melody, HUGEL began refining his DJing skills, quickly gaining a reputation as a talented young artist.
As his passion for music grew, HUGEL delved into the world of production, honing his craft over the next few years. His ability to blend powerful basslines, infectious grooves, and melodic hooks soon led him to become a true hit-maker, with his tracks gaining attention across the global dance music scene.
The Latin & Afro-House Sound
In the mid-2010s, HUGEL's sound began to evolve as he explored the rich musical influences of Latin culture and Afro-house. After spending time in Ibiza, one of the world’s most iconic dance music hubs, he absorbed the island's vibrant energy and culture, which would go on to deeply influence his production style. His time in Ibiza ignited his passion for Latin rhythms, tropical beats, and Afro-inspired percussion, which became key elements in his sound.
HUGEL’s unique fusion of house music with Latin and Afro beats led to the creation of tracks that resonated deeply with fans worldwide. Among his standout hits were "Morenita" and "I Adore You," both of which skyrocketed in popularity, earning him a spot at the forefront of the global dance music scene.

Best of 2024 by Kenn Colt
1-Best of tracks from other artists in 2024.
a) Identify the most exceptional tracks from other artists released in 2024. Explain your selection, highlighting production techniques and audience reactions.
Kenn Colt: Without doubt that would be Adam Port - Move from keinemusik. They are dominating the whole electronic dance scene at the moment with their strong afrohouse productions. It's not a peak track, but it's been such a big hit that you can basically play it on every moment at the clubs. The audience knows the lyrics, it's an easy to remember song with an overal good vibe.
Mau P - Merther, is a remake of the "Welcome to Jamrock" from Damian Marley, Mau P used the vocal and gave it an powerful remix with pumping bassline on the drop.
My most played song would be "It's not Right (but it's ok)" from the dutchies Mr Belt & Weezol. this remake works every time.
1-Best self-produced/personal tracks of 2024
b)Explain your choices for the best 2024 personal productions. Were they due to challenges, crowd reactions, or success on download shops/streaming services?
Kenn Colt: My best production for 2024 will be Mueve Ese Booty, based on the reactions of the crowd and as well did the best on the streaming platforms. Everywhere i played this song the crowd start moving, in Latin America they understood the lyrics and especially the girls went crazy on this one.
2) Best Artist of 2024 (DJ & Producer)
Analyze why you consider the selected artist the best in their genre. Explain the factors that influenced your decision and highlight their most appreciated aspects.
Kenn Colt: Adam Port and keinemusik, without doubt dominating the afrohouse scene this year. Nearly all the songs they did reached high notes and the keinemusik parties were sold out worldwide.
3-a) Best Remixes of 2024
Provide a detailed explanation of your remix selection, including your reasons. Consider factors like production proficiency, technical aspects, creativity, and imagination.
Kenn Colt: Swedish house mafia - Finally (Eran Hersh & Shooma Remix) - I know Eran for many years when he did a remix for my song Sun Goes Down and now he did an official release of "Finally" from the Swedish house mafia, such a beauty.
3-b) Your best self-produced remix of 2024
Explain why you believe your 2024 remix is your best work. Include any technical challenges or unique difficulties you faced during production.
Kenn Colt: This year I focussed more on own releases or remakes, but if you count the remakes as well as a remix than it would be "Chan Chan", it's a remake of the "buena vista social club" classic and was released on my own label Feels Like Home Records.
3-c) Best Remixer(s) of 2024:
Provide a concise commentary on the best remixers of 2024, supporting your assessment with specific reasons highlighting their exceptional talent and expertise.
Kenn Colt: Best remixer this year would maybe be Fisher, he did somebody (from gotye), Waiting for Tonight from Jennifer lopez and "Jamming" from Bob marley. all these remixes work so well on club but even on festivals so for my point of view that deserves this point.
4) Best New Talent of 2024 (DJ or Producer):
Explain your award selection in detail. Do you personally know or collaborate with the artist?
Kenn Colt: The Belgians Samm & Ajna - they have been making waves for a while now but 2024 was definitely their year. both production wise, remixes and their own party concept and label magnifik.
5-a) Best Electronic Dance Music Album of 2024:
Provide a detailed explanation of the criteria used to select the best electronic dance music album of 2024. Also, highlight the standout tracks that showcase its exceptional quality.
Kenn Colt: Well this is a surprising question because for tech house or dance in general I don't see much albums passing by (if none so far i know). Only big pop stars did some albums this year.
5-b) Best Electronic Dance Music Compilation of 2024. Please elaborate on the criteria used to select this compilation. Are the mixing processes of the tracks high quality and proficient? Is the track listing imaginative and creative?
Kenn Colt: Same as previous question
5-c: Best artwork of 2024: singles or albums.
Kenn Colt: PAWSA - PICK UP THE PHONE (feat. Nate Dogg) - shoots me right back to my youth when i got my first phone (which was a Nokia 3310)
6) Best Electronic Dance Music Label of 2024
Explain your choice. What appeals to you about this label? Is it the high-quality tracks, the impressive roster of notable artists, or something else?
Kenn Colt:I would say because of the immense success of their tracks, keinemusik probably won this year.
7)Best music composition software and hardware of 2024. Explain your selection.
Kenn Colt: For me Studio One. i have been producing with Logic Pro for years, but i felt like it's more a big boat which moves slowly. Studio One has best of both worlds, it looks a bit like Ableton (fast way of producing) but has the look and feel of Logic. I hardly switch back to Logic, unless there is a project i want to check or reuse which i've made in the past :-)
8-a) Your Best Personal DJ Gig of 2024:
Kenn Colt: Alchemist, Kenya August 31, 2024, It was my first time performing in Kenya, and I didn’t expect the crowd to welcome me with such incredible energy and love. The vibe was electric, and it’s a moment I’ll never forget. It was a great introduction for Afro House music as well!
8-b) Best DJ set from another DJ (real or online) of 2024. Explain why you think it’s the strongest. Highlight exceptional mixing, track selection, and overall mix development.
Kenn Colt: That's such an hard question. i've seen so many this year, maybe Anyma this year at Tomorrowland mainstage. that was a very powerful experience, especially to see him after all the afterlife shows also perform like that on the mainstage. big up!
9)Share your most valuable technical advice and production techniques from 2024, specifically related to DJing or music production.
Kenn Colt: I had the chance to be in the studio with fellow producers and learned small new techniques, but the best one would be the "Studio One" DAW tip that I got from my friends.
10-Share the most valuable advice you received in the personal or music business that significantly contributed to your career advancement in 2024. This guidance can help others grow professionally.
Kenn Colt: I was making all kinds of music in the beginning of 2024, but the best advise is to narrow down your style so people in the music business, but also your fans know what to expect. And be unique in your sound and productions!
11-Could you share your plans for 2025, including future releases, tracks, albums, collaborations, and DJ gigs? We’d love the details.
Kenn Colt: I’m excited to share that I’ve got a new track dropping in March 2025 on the African label My Other Side Of The Moon! It’s afrohouse track that I've premiered back in august and the label boss came to me and wanted to sign the track right away, so I hope everyone will enjoy, so stay tuned. Aside from that, I have a few more in the works, if you’ve been following my socials, you might have caught a few previews already. 😉 For shows, i'm planning to do a new tour in latin america and especially Paraguay, Ecuador and Mexico! I’m definitely revisiting my favorites from this year as well as Africa and China will be back on the menu.
Big news: I’m relaunching my record label "FEELS LIKE HOME Records" from beginning of 2025! If you’re an aspiring artist looking to collaborate or release music, don’t hesitate to reach out. There’s a lot more to come, and I can’t wait to see where 2025 takes us. Let’s make it another year to remember! 🎶🔥
