As we edge our way into spring, what better way to celebrate the occasion than with a brand new masterpiece from rising star Azotti with the lush sounds of 'Butterfly'.

Azotti of course is no stranger to the Mondo Records ranks, with previous hits such as 'The Miracle', 'Coffee' and 'Back Again' to name but a few. The production maestro comes up with the goods once more and 'Butterfly' is a lush fusion of summer drenched progressive vibes, lush melodies and a bags of energy.

Expect to hear this one played a lot over the coming months - a guaranteed summer anthem in the making.

Butterfly is ISOS compilation material without doubts and we were so impressed that we invited Azotti for an interview and we are glad that he replied in our questions. Thanks Yuri Denisenko aka Azotti.

Dimitri: When did you start your involvement with electronic dance music and which music style you are more affiliated with and why?

Azotti: Since my childhood, all my life I've loved electronic music. But officially I consider the starting point as an artist on October 10, 2009, was the first performance of Azotti. In general, as for me, Yeah I am a big music lover, I like different styles and directions of music, I like working in the studio mixing these different styles, doing something from this club-melodic. When I first started, it was trance, progressive, uplifting, then I tried progressive house, deep house with melodic and trance elements. Music is my life the last 9 years ;)

Dimitri: Did you had the opportunity to attend any kind of music production course or are u completely self taught? Do you consider that is essential for any artist to complete any production course?

Azotti: It's important to have a knowledge or to complete a production course. I am completely self taught! General concepts about music harmony and notes were given to me from my father when I was a child as he was a musician, the drummer, in Ukrainian (Soviet Band). My parents wanted to offer me Economic education. For this reason, about 8 years, since 2000-2008 I have studied and worked in this area. All my knowledge in music production I got it myself.  How amazing  that in our time there are such things as the Books, Magazines, Internet, Google, YouTube, and it is unfortunate that many people can not find there answers to frequently asked questions about music production.

Dimitri: In which label was your first ever release and how did you manage to attract the attention of the label?

Azotti: It was Redux Records (Germany) in winter 2010.
I just made a track and sent it to the record label demo email and they released it!

Dimitri: Which are the Top 5 tracks that you have produced and you consider them as being highly important for the progress of your career indifferent if they were commercially successful.

Azotti: 1 - The Miracle

2 - Day And Night featuring Bagga Bownz

3 - First Kiss

4 - Fallen Dreams featuring Bagga Bownz

5 - Sultry City

Dimitri: Let's focus on your latest release Butterfly. Please tell us from where did you got the inspiration for the track?

Azotti: This track was created in the summer, it is filled with summer energy and sun! The main idea came to me during the creating process. But a funny incident happened to me while I was working on this track. It was at the final stage when a butterfly just flew into my room and sat on the audio card, I thought that it is a sign, and called the track Butterfly!

Dimitri: How long it took you to produce it and was an easy or difficult process? If you have faced any difficulties please tell us about them and how did you resolved them?

Azotti: To make a good quality track, it's not a problem, not a long process, we know that the best hits were created in a few days with one breath. The problem is different, you have to wait a lot of time, even months for the release of the track or single, usually it takes a long time for the label, because there is a queue order, a stream. I had cases of tracks that were released after one year from their production.

Dimitri: Which was the biggest challenge that you faced during the production of this superb track?

Azotti: Initially, the track was with the vocals, it sounded good, but later label refused the vocal, we abandoned that idea, and I had to re-do most of the track, add more effects and melodies. In the end, it turned out great!

Dimitri: Can you describe to us the steps that you went through the production of this track and of any other track?

Azotti: The first step is a sketch and an idea, then there is a stage of creating an arrangement as well as mixing and mastering in the process, then I asked the opinion of few friends about this track, I analyse it, and if I feel that something is missing  I make adjustments, and only then, the finished track is send to the label as a demo!

Dimitri: When the track finished did the label accepted it as it was produced or did the label recommend you to do some changes or fix certain things?

Azotti: Sometimes the label accepts the track without making any adjustments, and sometimes it happens that the label recommends to make some changes. It also happens that the label rejects the track and then I send it to another label.

Dimitri: Is this track an original composition or is it based on a template from another track produced from you or another producer?

Azotti: Sure! I'm often inspired by other producers and DJs it's  true, I listen to a lot of music! But any of my works are original compositions with original ideas.

Dimitri: Is the quality of this track higher than your previous one? If yes in what ways this track sounds better than your previous one?

Azotti: You know, there is such a saying. "There is no limit to perfection" I always try to make the quality better of my works from year to year, thanks to technology and knowledge.

Dimitri: Do you have any friends or relatives that you send them the track before sending it to a label or if you are DJ did you test it in your gigs? If yes did you have to do any alterations as a result of the crowd reaction?

Azotti: Of course! My relatives are very fond of electronic music, they strongly support me! Yes, I often test my tracks on a big sound system in the clubs or festivals, and watch the reaction of the crowd, it really helps me.

Dimitri: Can you describe to us the studio that you have produced the track? What is your favourite hardware and software set up? Do you have in mind any new gear that you wish to get in order to raise the quality of your production?

Azotti: I have a powerful PC, today this is the main thing! I work for many years in Cubase DAW. I have an RME audio card, a pair of studio monitors - ADAM and a subwoofer for monitoring low frequencies, a large 27 "LCD monitor. I also have good studio headphones. This is my small home studio, a great place for ideas and creativity)

Azotti's Studio

Dimitri: Do you master the track yourself or the mastering is task for the record label? Do you understand mastering as being essential?

Azotti: I always personally do mixing and mastering for the track. It's important for me. Of course I think that the ideological part for music is above all, but the quality must also be at a good level! If the original producer can not master on his own, then the mixing and mastering services are provided by the label.

Dimitri: There is a growing trend of vinyl coming back for good. Would you like to see this track released on vinyl or any other of your future tracks? Do you prefer digital files or vinyl?

Azotti: I'm a big fan of vinyl for many many years from 90s, I have a small home collection of my favorite music. It's an indescribable feeling to hold the music and feel it with your own hands. I'm glad that the vinyl returns. And I really dream that this track or maybe some of my future works will be released on vinyl.

Dimitri: Are you going to add any remixes for the track?

Azotti: Specifically, this release does not include remixes, only radio version, it is slightly shorter in duration about 3 minutes. But I almost made a slightly different version of this track, I plan to test it on the radio soon.

Dimitri: Do you have any future releases planned and when will be released?

Azotti: This year my aim is to release a lot of tracks and a few tracks have already been signed and are waiting for their time to release them during spring-summer and there are a couple of tracks which are still looking for a home. Just right now I finished two new tracks, in progressive and house style. I also work on a collaboration with a really big vocalist. Stay Tuned more info coming soon!

Dimitri: Please mention to us your Top 3 best DJ gigs so far and the reasons that made them so special?

Azotti: About two years ago I performed at a big concert stage "Stereo Plaza", in Kiev and there were many thousands of people. I did a warm-up before Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten, it was unbelievable! I also did a live recording, it sounds great with the crowd shouting, by the way, you can find this in my page on mixcloud. After this performance I have a big following of fans who always wait for my performances. In October, I managed, by coincidence, to make a half-hour DJ set in the DeLaMar theatre in Amsterdam at the festival ADE, it was very spontaneous and not planned. But I'm always ready for non-standard situations. Always great parties in the Kiev club Forsage and Saxon!

Dimitri: Do you have any more DJ gigs planned for the next few months?

Azotti: Yes, of course, let it be my little secret! I will say only that it will not be in my motherland Ukraine!

Dimitri: Do you produce a radio show/podcast as well? Please tell us here all the details about it. If you don't have one please tell us why you don't think is important for your career.

Azotti: I do not produce a radio show or podcast, because now the market is really over saturated, most of the fans of electronic music listen to mostly the most cult DJs and musicians. In my opinion, in order to make a radio show, you must at least become very famous, release an album, and make your radio show live! In this case there is a sense...

Dimitri: Best piece of advice you got in relation to your career so far and best tip you learnt recently to make your tracks better.

Azotti: I'm a very gullible person, and I recently received advice from my good friend Michiel - it sounded something like .. Come on - do not be so gullible, because in this world you are surrounded mostly by not very good people.

Dimitri: Can you give us here your tips or more elaborated advice for any new artists who may read this interview and wish to get involved with the electronic music industry.

Azotti: Never give up! Be patient! Do not stop every day to learn something new! Love the family! Love the world because it is so interesting! Always remember your roots!

Dimitri: Can you mention your biggest achievements in your music career in 2015?

Iversoon & Alex Daf: Sure. It was an effective year but we still have a lot to achieve. Our originals and remixes were featured 5 times in ASOT by Armin Van Buuren. Most of the popular DJs have supported our releases as well. Most of them were featured in Beatport Top 100 Chart. Worth to mention, we have signed a contract with Enhanced Music which is a major record label. We have been going to this for a while and we are really proud to work with Enhanced now. We became residents of DI.FM and are hosting own radioshow Club Family Radioshow. This way we have an opportunity to showcase music released on Club Family Records, we are co-founders there, and broadcast our vision of modern Trance music to the masses.  The highest ranking our track could get this year was 12th position in Trance Top 100 Tracks chart.  Also, we were excited to work with Koen Herfst, official drummer of Armin Van Buuren. We have collaborated with Koen on a track titled Million Faces with Valerio Recenti from Italy on vocals. Legendary Ronski Speed produced a remix on Million Faces. I should say we produced a lot of vocal track this year. Special thanks goes to Sir Adrian label as we have been working and collaborated for a while with Adrian, the founder.

As for gigs, we can't say we have already seen the world unfortunately. As we don't have a tour manager we are only limited to touring in our country, Ukraine.

Dimitri: Do you like to cook? What is the best recipe that you cooked this year? If you don’t usually cook who is cooking it for you and which is your best food for 2015?

Iversoon & Alex Daf: As we workout in gym regularly we prefer to eat food with lots of protein to increase own weight, that can be various kind of porridge, meat (chicken) etc. At the same time we do not forget about carbohydrates. To make it short, we love to eat a lot!

The N&R Project is coming back to Club Family with a new release titled Stolen Heart. Guys are beginning to receive a good DJ support these days.

Stolen Heart is a glaring demonstration of sound euphoria but for your hearts that is more like a calm and melodic progressive trance production. Also, the single features an uplifting remix by Ukrainian producer Alex Blest. The remix has, of course, higher BPM rate and held out within the genre. We believe that fans of classic trance should love it.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Club Family records presents the new single of the upcoming N&R Project. The track Stolen Heart is offered  in two very nice remixes. The original is an excellent hybrid of melodic trance with epic progressive house influences that works particularly on mainstage trance sets. Its one of those tracks that give you instantly a smile and make you hope for a better world. Great rock guitar riffs in the breakdown that lead us nicely on the full on hands in the air climax. Optimistic, energetic and impressive production that stands out and will entertain any big room crowd. Alex Blest transforms the original into the headbanging uplifting euphoric trance version that utilise the original elements in the finest possible way and unleashes huge amounts of euphoria and  energy particularly after the cinematic dreamy relaxing summery breakdown. Straight to the point uplifting trancer written by the book and crafted excellently to give you shivers from head to toe. Love iT

Legendary UK producer Lost Witness is coming back to Club Family with the second part of his previously released Fall single, a collaboration with the US based female vocalist Danielle Simeone. Original mixes of Fall and Part 1 remixes have already received a fantastic support by the listeners and world top DJ names, which should not be a surprise by remembering Lost Witness' past successes.

The second part of the Fall features three amazing remixes by Glynn Alan from the UK, Rad Antoni from the US and Anxess from Russia. Guys have tried hard to make this part better than the previous one with uplifting and progressive trance productions that deliver a well mixed and balanced sound along with the beautiful voice of Danielle Simeone.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The very cool record label Club Family records from Ukraine presents the latest anthem by Lost Witness featuring Danielle Simeone on vocal duties. The second part of the remixes is definitely must check out as it includes wide variety of new translations. Anxess service the deep progressive trance version with balearic trance influences. Chunky grooves, deep driving basslines, nice synths on top and Danielle exceptional performance to shine on top. Relaxing and dreamy but very energetic and engaging at the same time. Glynn Alan is on remix duties and he does his uplifting old school  trance translation that will recall great trance moments from the past. Excellent breakdown with epic hi-nrg synths that will energise your senses and uplift your spirit straight away particularly when the beat strikes back for the massive euphoric climax. Last but not least Rad Antoni remix applies tougher kicks, driving full on basslines and classical music influenced synths to push the track forward. Banging, emotional and straight to the point version that is so sweet with Danielle vocal on top. All the remixes are offered in their  dub  version as well for the less vocal lovers but this track in my opinion is closely attached to the vocals. Love iT

Cloudwalker has been working a while in the studio recently to present us the new Anelia single. Beyond doubt, that his unique music production style is working better for composing movie soundtracks. Despite all that, Cloudwalker has managed to combine operatic singing and orchestral instruments into an uplifting production at the same time making the mixes sound beautiful and tolerant to the uplifting music.

The Anelia single includes Intro, Original and Extended mixes. Countless amount of warm, silky sounds and mesmerizing melodies along with the deep and rich bass line make your mind dreamy and enigmatic. Just close your eyes and imagine a warm and cosy place on the Earth where you would want to be right now.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Cloudwalker is considered to be one of the biggest hopes in the trance scene with huge talent and many amazing trance anthems under his belt. On Club Family Lifted from Ukraine he delivers the exceptional production Anelia. If you search for Pure Uplifting Trance Anthems that recall the feeling and atmosphere of Trance classics from early 2000 don't miss this beauty. Superb drive and energy that will carry you away for a nice memorable dreamy journey. The breakdown is gigantic size with movie soundtracks influences that transfer you straight away to the settings of a historic romantic blockbuster film. Classical orchestral music themes are nicely combined with sensitive piano chords and fantastic detailed sound design that manage to transfer you to a magical place that you always dreamt off. It's the perfect antidote to sooth and calm your mind for a while and nicely prepare you to jump as high as you can when the beat strikes back. The main synthy lead is heavily influenced from classical music  and will easily energise the proceedings on the massive full on hands in the air uplifting climax that will bring euphoria and happiness to any trance fanatic worldwide. #PureGold Love iT

Guys are constantly getting support of Armin Van Buuren and their tracks have been already featured in best compilations by Armada Music.

Fantastic original mix along with the remixes make this release alive. Broken Age original is featured with mesmerizing piano melodies and bright lead synths, which make the mix that striking.

Also, the Broken Age release is packed with four amazing remixes produced by Another World, Denis Sender, Cloudwalker and Witness45. All mixes were produced according to their artist's taste and style, so everyone should find the version that fits better in ones DJ mix or audio player. Remixers have managed to create something that sounds delicate and at the same time rocks the dance floor.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The quickly rising to the top  Iversoon & Alex Daf from Ukraine present in their own imprint Club Family Lifted their fantastic anthem Broken Age. The original is supported by 3 marvelous remixes that will win your attention for sure. Super solid bouncy banging epic uplifting trance to its purest form with euphoric synths and so exciting rhythm that makes you wanna dance so don't even think to be sited when this track will be played from your favourite dj. What is most important except the awesome memorable melody is the cinematic atmosphere that will transfer you to another age and the stunning breakbeat part that relax you for a while before the full on hands in the climax. Tailor made for those who are not afraid 138 BPM and they are about to experience real trance as it should be! Outstanding from the first minute till its last. Dennis Sender transforms the original into a modern euphoric prog trancer with chunky groovy beats, electro touched basslines, twinkle style little melodies, euphoric synths and the amazing piano theme in the breakdown that adds the bitter sweet taste to it. Huge burst of rave style distorted synths follow and the track goes full on hands in the air in the climax. Very strong remix that manage to balance the groovy foundation with the amazing synths so expect that will go down like a treat to your prog trance sets. Another World remix moves on the uplifting trance direction. Straight to the point with very nice synthy melodies and tough and thumping beats that punch you hard in your stomach and you know that you want to dance till the morning light! The breakdown is really magnificent with fantastic synths and great additional delicate and sweet sounds that calm the senses and build the excitement for the uplifting trance climax that you can trust straight away. Cloudwalker epic remix adopts the cold mechanical beat that dominates the clubfloors and sounds great on huge soundsystems. The cinematic epic strings are added nicely and drive the track to its breakdown. The breakdown is super long with Hollywood blockbuster style sequence that make you feel like being part of a nice movie or theatre play. The more sweet synths are coming followed by the massive drum roll that nicely take us for long awaited take off. His climax adopts the electronic little melody and the epic strings allowing the bass and the beats to carry your body in a higher plane. Last but not least Witness45 well known for great releases on many well known labels continues on the uplifting trance style in his very own and unique way. Dreamy emotionally charged breakdown with huge rave style synths that sound great in big club or festivals. This synthy riff uplift your spirit and pushes the track to the next level. Fantastic package with must have versions! #PureGold Love IT

Cloudwalker debuts on a new CFR sub label, Club Family Lifted, with an outstanding uplifting Suncatcher EP. We know for sure that this guy has never suffered for a lack of creativity, especially when it comes to melodies. The Suncatcher EP is packed with two such profound and powerful mixes, Sunchatcher and Us, that simply take us higher with scorching winds of melodies supported by a fat and groovy bass line. That sound mixture along with our feelings beat at 140 beats per minute.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The very successful trance duo from Ukraine Iversoon & Alex Daff present their brand new member in their Club Family label. Its called Club Family Lifted and caters for the growing community of uplifting trance fans that need it at higher BPM. First release comes from the upcoming and quickly rising Cloudwalker with his Suncatcher EP. Firstly Suncatcher is a magnificent pure uplifting trancer with heavy banging beats, driving energetic basslines and excellent main melodic theme that comes to the surface in the calming breakdown that its main characteristic is the inspiring opera vocal sample. The climax comes with the well known scratching effect and is pure uplifting trance at its very best. The euphoric synthy lead combined perfectly with the opera heavenly vocal sample. Simple and I feel very effective on the dancefloor as well. For those who hate ultra complex trance compositions that sometimes loose the plot as well. 2nd track is Us and will keep you satisfied without doubts. Powerful and energetic straight forward trancer that follows the codes and conventions and stays faithful to the honest uplifting trance vibes. Great cinematic breakdown with classical orchestral music theme  that will uplift your spirit followed by rave style distorted synthy lead that will raise the hair from your neck. The climax is full on and straight to the point packed with nice melodic layers. I can imagine many happy faces when this EP will be played out. Check IT

We have produced a couple of collaborations with legendary Binary Finary from Australia. One of those collabs is going to be out on UK's Mondo Records in January. We will reveal info about the second collab with Binary Finary in a while.

Also, we have met in person a great artist Woody Van Eyden and started to work closely with him. The result of all that is already out on Fenology - collaboration with US female vocalist Eireann Wax with a couple of remixes by Woody. The next collaboration with Woody is in production at the moment.
