Colorize Presents: Colorscapes Vol. 7 – A Dual Journey Through the Heart of Melodic Electronic Music

Colorize proudly announces the release of Colorscapes Vol. 7, the latest installment in its highly acclaimed annual compilation series. Known as the definitive showcase for the best in deep, progressive, and melodic house, Colorscapes returns with a double offering that further cements its legacy as a platform for both emerging stars and established innovators in the global melodic electronic scene.

This seventh edition features two immersive mixes from celebrated label stalwarts PRAANA and Estiva, each delivering a distinct yet harmoniously complementary perspective on the evolving sound of progressive and melodic house.

PRAANA’s Cinematic Soundscape

PRAANA’s contribution to Colorscapes Vol. 7 exemplifies their reputation for creating emotionally charged, cinematic electronic journeys. Their mix is a seamless exploration of melodic house, trance-infused progressive, and ethereal textures, weaving together exclusive releases and unreleased material that transport listeners into expansive, dreamlike soundscapes.

With tracks like “Isness of Isness”, “Calling Out”, and the collaborative “We Both Know It” with RKTKT and lydi lynn, PRAANA’s mix flows with uplifting intensity and fluid transitions, designed to resonate on both the dancefloor and in solitary listening. The use of layered harmonies and wide stereo fields makes this mix a testament to PRAANA’s signature fusion of emotion and energy.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]PRAANA’s latest release, “When I Need You” featuring vocalist Freddie Elmberg, is a masterclass in modern progressive house production and the fourth single from their forthcoming Colorize album. The track immediately captivates with its rich, cinematic soundscape—a hallmark of PRAANA’s style—before opening into a 122 BPM groove that balances hypnotic drive with ethereal textures. From a technical perspective, the production shines with meticulous attention to detail. Layered, glowing synth pads create a lush harmonic bed, while tight, sidechained bass pulses lock seamlessly with crisp, punchy percussion. Subtle arpeggios and evolving filter sweeps add a sense of motion, maintaining energy without ever overwhelming the vocal. Freddie Elmberg’s performance is both intimate and soaring, treated with delicate reverb and spatial effects that immerse the listener in a dreamlike atmosphere. The dynamic mix gives each element room to breathe, while the mastering enhances the track’s warmth and clarity—ideal for both club play and headphone immersion. Progressive house DJs will adore this track for its versatility and emotional narrative. The 122 BPM tempo is perfect for seamless transitions in melodic sets, and its cinematic breakdowns followed by euphoric builds can anchor peak moments on the dancefloor. PRAANA’s blend of emotive songwriting and polished production ensures “When I Need You” will resonate with fans of melodic, journey-driven progressive house. In essence, this release isn’t just a track—it’s an experience, embodying the progressive ethos of slow-burning tension, cathartic release, and sonic storytelling. #PureGold Love IT [/content]
