[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Steve Brian, x.endra, and Simonic have truly crafted an electrifying masterpiece with "We Crossed The Lines," now available on Enhanced Progressive. This isn’t just a typical progressive trance track; it's an intricate tapestry woven with meticulous attention to detail, showcasing the synergy of three distinct artistic visions. At its core, "We Crossed The Lines" operates at an energetic 126 BPM, perfectly calibrated to sustain momentum without overwhelming listeners. The track’s rhythmic foundation is built on punchy, well-compressed kicks that ensure a powerful low-end presence. Accompanied by thumping drums layered with precisely-tuned percussive elements, the groove is both dynamic and immersive. The bassline is a stand-out feature, infused with electro-inspired textures. This adds a modern twist to the traditional progressive trance sound. Sidechain compression is expertly used here, creating that iconic pulsing effect that allows the bass to breathe in harmony with the kick, enhancing the track’s forward drive. The synth layers are a testament to the trio’s production prowess. Bold, expansive pads set an ethereal backdrop, while arpeggiated plucks and soaring leads carry the melody with precision. The use of reverb and delay is masterful, creating a spacious and airy atmosphere that feels both blissful and cinematic. Automation plays a pivotal role, with filter sweeps and modulation effects adding dynamic evolution throughout the track. An emotionally charged vocal performance is elegantly interwoven into the mix, treated with effects like subtle pitch correction, reverb, and stereo widening to blend seamlessly with the instrumental. The vocal arrangement is strategically placed, building anticipation during breakdowns and elevating the track’s emotional peaks. The trio employs advanced layering techniques, ensuring each sonic element occupies its own space within the frequency spectrum. EQ carving and multiband compression maintain clarity and balance, while stereo imaging adds depth, making the track feel larger-than-life, perfect for festival stages. "We Crossed The Lines" is more than just a track; it’s a meticulously produced anthem that reflects the evolution of progressive trance. With its blend of euphoric melodies, driving grooves, and cinematic flair, this track is destined to resonate with audiences worldwide. #PureGold indeed. Love IT[/content]

Check Enhanced Sessions 785 with York - Hosted by Farius
Enhanced Progressive is thrilled to present the second album by British trance producer, songwriter, and broadcaster Farius. Since his debut on the label in 2019, Farius has made a significant impact in the trance music scene. He has released several standout albums and EPs on renowned labels like Enhanced, Anjunabeats, and Armada. Notable releases include his 2020 album ‘From The Start’, the 2021 EP ‘Diversify’, and numerous impeccable singles. Farius has also showcased his remixing skills, collaborating with artists like Tritonal, Audien, Gabriel & Dresden, and Andrew Bayer. Additionally, he has demonstrated his hosting abilities as the host of the Enhanced Sessions weekly radio show. Farius has toured the world, performing at respected events like ASOT in Mexico and The Netherlands, Dreamstate USA, Untold in Romania, and Sydney Mardi Gras. He recently supported Tritonal on their 2023 North American tour.
Now, after releasing five exceptional singles leading up to it, we finally arrive at ‘Synapse’, an album that marks Farius’ reconnection with his roots as a DJ and performer. The twelve tracks that make up this album showcase a producer who has honed his skills to a sublime level, solidifying his place in the trance world while also expanding his sonic palette and venturing into exciting new territories.
The album begins with a slower track, ‘N1 0XT’, which sets the tone marvelously. Its foley and snippets of conversation act as a breather before the rip-roaring energy of the following eleven tracks takes over. ‘I Surrender’ follows, a hands-in-the-air anthem of a trance record that is Farius’ specialty. He carries this energy throughout the album, evident in collaborations like ‘Barton Springs’ with Solarstone, ‘Blue Skies’, the thunderous ‘Human Beings’ with Eric Lumiere, and the pure elation of ‘Running’ with Liu Bei.
‘Electric Run’ delves into the more chaotic and amped-up side of trance, featuring the talents of musician Redfield for a unique blend of trance and disco on ‘You Know (Disco Tool)’. ‘Pressure’ delivers classic trance in all its 140 BPM glory.
The album concludes with ‘Is This Love?’, a trance/drum and bass hybrid that is both upbeat and packs a serious punch. Farius’ passion for dance music in all its forms is evident on ‘Synapse’ as he skillfully connects the dots across genres, creating a truly singular experience.
A few words from Farius:
'The search for what story I wanted to tell with this album took me back to the dancefloor. The connection and memories you make with friends on the dancefloor, the connection you make with the music, the new connections and shared moments you have with others. Immersing yourself in a totally uninhibited way so much that you lose yourself entirely in the moment with everyone around you, and ultimatelyconnecting with yourself through the music and discovering who you are. I know that's what I've done in life. Life particularly right now is so tough for so many people - I'm really hoping to capture that release and escapism we all get in music with this album. I want this to be an album about joy, positivity and the escape you feel when you're front and centre at a rave with your friends without a worry for whatever is around the corner in life.
To commemorate the release of Farius’ extraordinary new album, ‘Synapse,’ on Enhanced Progressive, Enhanced team have meticulously crafted this exclusive double vinyl edition!

Producer & DJ from San Francisco with support by Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Tritonal, and more.
Dimitris: Can you mention your biggest music career achievements in 2018?
Schala: Had 3 dates on the Enhanced 10 tour, and a number of other shows supporting big acts in big clubs.
Dimitris: Can you rate 2018 for you as a year with 1 being very bad until 10 that is perfect year!
Schala: 9 excellent year, This year was by far my most favourite year yet for music. I got to go on tour for the first time and it was surreal for so many reasons. I also played a number of other shows during the spring and summer and had a blast. Unfortunately, two very crucial songs have been delayed from releasing, both due to vocalist complications.., this kept 2018 from being perfect, but rest assured huge things are around the corner for early 2019!
1) Best 3 Tracks from other artists in 2018, please give us a short comment for each track:
Schala: 1.) Calvin Harris, Dua Lipa - One Kiss : Probably one of the biggest dance tracks of 2018. Such a well put together and solid mix, nothing you couldn't expect from Calvin Harris.
2.) Tritonal, Kill The Noise, Seven Lions feat. HALIENE - Horizon: Tritonal and Seven Lions are some of my favorite names in dance music, so this is already one of my favorite songs of all time and for it to also be on Enhanced makes it that much more amazing.
3.) ilan Bluestone & Sunny Lax - 43+86=129 : Everything about this song is amazing. I had been listening to it as an ID for almost an entire year and I'm so glad to finally have it release in 2018.
2) Your 3 Best of 2018 personal productions, give us more background info about them:
Schala: I made my other-then progressive trance debut this year with Final Future. It was released on DS-R (Digital Society Recordings, a label on Enhanced Music.) This track displays how I am growing as a producer, experimenting with different soundscapes. You can expect more things like this from me in the future, as I will be branching out to other genres here and there in between my progressive releases. I have played this record out a lot at shows this year, and it does extremely well on the dance floor.
3) Best Artist in 2018(DJ & producer) please explain why you pick him/her up:
Schala: I nominate Amelie Lens, she is an extremely talented and hard working not only as a DJ & Producer, but record label owner as well. She has achieved so much this year and has proven to be such a great producer & DJ.
4) Best Remix in 2018, please explain why you liked it so much:
Schala: Yahel & Infected Mushroom - Electro Panic (Azax x Boombastix Remix), this is such a solid psy trance song. I love the rolling bass and overall everything about this mix is so clean and big. I used this a lot while playing out this year and it did its job very well!
Thanks to Schala for answering these questions. Thanks to Rory at Enhanced for arranging this interview.
