[item value="10"]Somna, Andy Moor & Brieanna Grace - I'm Alive [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Somna and Andy Moor have once again crafted an exceptional progressive trance masterpiece with "I'm Alive," featuring the evocative vocals of Brieanna Grace. Operating at a crisp 128 BPM, this track embodies the quintessential elements of progressive trance while integrating sophisticated production techniques that elevate its sonic landscape. The foundation of "I'm Alive" is constructed on robust, pulsating basslines that create an energetic undercurrent. These basslines are meticulously layered using sidechain compression techniques, ensuring they breathe harmoniously with the electro-touched kick drums. The kicks themselves are crafted with precision, utilizing transient shaping and subtle saturation to enhance their punch and clarity, cutting through the mix without overpowering the other elements. The rhythmic structure is further enriched by groovy drum patterns, comprising crisp hi-hats and dynamic percussion elements that are programmed to provide both drive and fluidity. These drums are enhanced with parallel compression to maintain consistency and impact across various frequencies. Brieanna Grace’s vocals are a standout feature, treated with a blend of reverb and delay effects to create a spacious, ethereal quality. Vocal processing techniques such as EQ sculpting, de-essing, and slight pitch correction are employed to ensure clarity and emotional resonance, seamlessly blending with the instrumental backdrop. The main breakdown is where the track’s emotive core truly shines. It opens with serene piano chords, recorded with high-fidelity microphones and processed through ambient reverb to evoke a sense of intimacy. Complementing the piano are lush orchestral strings, likely synthesized with high-quality virtual instruments and layered for depth and warmth. Advanced automation techniques are used to modulate the dynamics and filter frequencies, gradually building tension. As the breakdown crescendos, a euphoric anthemic synth melody emerges, symbolizing the uplifting message of "I'm Alive." This melody is crafted with supersaw synth patches, processed with unison detuning to create a rich, expansive sound. Modulation effects such as phasing and flanging add movement and texture, while meticulous EQ and stereo imaging ensure each synth layer occupies its own space within the mix. The final drop merges all these elements, showcasing impeccable mixing and mastering techniques that balance the track’s powerful low-end with shimmering highs. "I'm Alive" is not just a track but an auditory journey, meticulously crafted with eternal qualities that resonate deeply with listeners, affirming its status as #PureGold. Love IT[/content]

Mkay. You’re having a decent summer. Things are fine. The weather’s playing ball (mostly), your vacation’s edging closer and you‘ve some fest tickets stashed. Something summer though ‘aint quite right and you’ve not been able to put your finger on it. We think we’ve got the answer: it’s the search for ‘In Search Of Sunrise’. Yes, that perennial starting-shot for hot-season, its categorical GO! moment has been MIA for several years and things, frankly ‘aint been right since!

Well call off the search, the Big Kahuna of all trance compilations, (the one that MIXMAG no less hailed “the greatest trance series of them all!’) is on the comeback track. And it’s had a bit of a refit!

Following the mix tenures of Tiësto and Richard Durand, series guardians Black Hole have shaken up its system and retooled the ISOS DJ dynamic. They’ve secured the services of three spinners whose credentials in the realms of sunrise soundscaping are beyond question. Markus Schulz, Gabriel & Dresden and Andy Moor have all picked up the ISOS mix mantle and have each embarked on their own forays for sunrays. Cumulatively this has resulted in an album that draws on the music of many a mainstay - Above & Beyond, Dakota, Cosmic Gate, Solarstone, Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold and Aly & Fila among them. Naturally this is assimilated into much of the DJs own studioware (often exclusively) to deliver you an immaculate break-o’dawn, summer summarising soundtrack.

We’ve all been there, and many times over. That singular moment when, for the first time, the sky above the party lightens, the DJ catches its thematic thermal and you have element & music in perfect synch. There are few feelings to beat it and encapsulating that alchemy has been the unending quest of ‘In Search Of Sunrise’.

First to make his pitch is a genre polymath for whom no trance discipline is beyond mastery. Markus Schulz begins his quest with the translucent ‘Hymn of the Replicant’ - an exclusive overture born of recent studio sessions with Jam El Mar. From there it cruises on to Above & Beyond & Justine Suissa’s ‘Cold Feet’, lifts again with ‘Something About You’ (his Dakota pairing with Arkham Knights), before marking its median through Solarstone’s homage to ‘Midsummer Nights’. Travelling onwards it hypnotises with the mantra of Corsten x Oakie collab ‘A Slice Of Heaven’, before delivering new perspectives (from Johan Gielen and Elevation) on Schulz/Suissa classic ‘Perception’ and Moogwai’s ‘Viola’.

Like ISOS itself, Gabriel & Dresden have done their own fair share of rematerializing of late. Josh & Dave transition darkness to light through the likes of Naden’s epic ‘Submersion’, the ethereal vocalism of Eelke Kleijn’s ‘Home’, elegiac elegance formed by Lucas Rossi’s ‘A Part of Myself’ and Estiva’s sonorous ‘Space Dust’. Denoting daybreak, the pair brilliantly sequence a run of their own material. Their recent G&D reworks of Dirty South’s haunting ‘If It All Stops’ and Above & Beyond’s ‘Is It Love?’ prefaces their most recent single ‘Over Oceans’ and Cosmic Gate’s exceptional revision of ‘Only Road’.

Our final mixing debutante (for 2018) is Andy Moor, who begins his expedition with Paul Thomas’ chilling of Aly & Fila/Scott Bond/Charlie Walker collab ‘Shadow’. He progresses mix matters with Stoneface & Terminal’s cyanic take on Thrillseekers’ ‘In These Arms’ and Omnia’s sun channeling rework of Lange & Sarah Howells’ ‘Out Of The Sky’. Contrasting remixed anthems with classics in the making, he feeds Airbase’s lavish ‘Vermillion’, the symphonic ‘Beacon’ from Mike Saint-Jules and Andy’s Becky Jean Williams team-up ‘The Real You’ into its system. Seeing this sunrise to its ultimate zenith, he builds comp-exclusive versions of ‘Proteus’ and ‘Bioluminescence’ from Neptune Project in, before delivering its astounding coup de grace, the ‘Broken Wings’ inspired ‘Supernal’ from Supernal.

ISOS:14 is not ‘DJs delivering their “takes” or “interpretations” on the originally-modelled-by-Tiësto sound’. This is the real deal - a wholehearted connection, direct to its original vision.
‘Sunrise’ dawns again June 29.

Coming fresh off the release of his ‘Breaking the Silence Vol. 3’ compilation, Andy Moor’s ‘Fade to Light’ perfectly encapsulates the sound the man has worked so tirelessly to bring to the world.

One can’t help but feel that Moor is blazing through yet another turning point, and that he’s continuously discovering new sides to himself and his music.

The spliced vocal couldn’t be more appropriate, and it complements the sort of melodic theme Moor has become famous for.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The very successful and super talented dj, producer, radio host and label owner Andy Moor returns on his own brainchild AVA recordings with his fantastic progressive trancer Fade To Light that firstly appeared in his Breaking The Silence volume 3 compilation. For the nearly 8 minutes that lasts you feel that you are in a state of constant bliss and magical hypnosis. It's arrangement is so well executed that young producers should study how his composition  keeps the dancefloor on fire and our ear constantly attracted to his sparkling proglifting style. He starts really deep with brooding basslines and chunky grooves with house flavour. Slowly he adds the various soundlayers and particularly the various synths that make our journey more pleasurable. His breakdown is luscious and dreamy with the quite distorted vocal sounding really ethereal magical and deeply emotion. It follows the ultimate rush of energy as a result of his euphoric mega huge style synths that will cause panic and big excitement on the dancefloor. The next sequence continues on the same melodic sparkling direction until to reach the next breakdown that except the vocal he adds along with the massive colourful synths and tough bouncy kicks that will make many clubbers go ballistic and extremely wild in truly big room trance style. He finishes on the same way as he started and ends our nice journey with great satisfaction. Andy Moor is a real scientist behind the decks adding the right dose of euphoria and playful elements in truly underground innovating style. #PureGold Love iT

If you haven’t had the chance to check out the full-length edition of Andy Moor’s latest compilation, 'Breaking The Silence Volume 3’, then be sure to take a listen to the first sampler pack from the release.

This sampler is the first of 2, each one showcasing different aspects of Moor’s exceptionally crafted compilation.

Now’s your chance to get a taste for the magic of this double set release!

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the most influential producers in the progressive trance scene is considered to be Andy Moor. He is highly influential and his opinion counts in the trance scene. His music taste counts as well and you can take a byte on his radio show Moor Music and in his legendary compilation series Breaking the Silence that reached already its 3rd instalment. AVA Recordings and Armada Music presents in two very unique dj samplers the full length extended versions of the tracks that you hear for the first time exclusively on that compilation. First of all comes the LTN unreleased remix on Andy Moor feat. Betsie Larkin vocal trance classic Love Again. The talented Indonesian manage to transform the original into his own tranquil crystal clear melodic dreamy progressive trance version perfect for those early moments of your sets that warm melodies and the ethereal voice of the fab Betsie Larkin will create the perfect atmosphere.  DNS Project well known for his full on progressive beauties presents the stunning Latitude. Epic proglifting trancer with driving deep haunting basslines, chunky groovy beats and fantastic breakdown with cinematic strings, opera vocals and huge marching drums to open your mind and energise your soul. The climax is epic and very euphoric with that orchestral classical music influence that works like a treat to ignite the dancefloor. The upcoming project Fatum presents the magical Accelerate. It's really emotional dreamy progressive trancer with emotional depth and upfront feel good climax that will manage easily to carry you away for a nice journey. With epic prog house influences and electro touches is definitely very futuristic and upfront that will keep busy any balearic minded trancefloor.  Judah in his anthem This Moment features Kailin on vocal duties. It starts with long emotional intro to set the scene nicely while the main part contains tribal drums, deep basslines, haunting strings and the awesome Kailin who has certainly one of the finest voices and we hope to see her as guest in many future trance anthems as well.  The track has that middle east flavour that travel your spirit and soul to faraway lands. The piano melody in the breakdown easily find common language with your heart so you will feel the warmth and tenderness that are radiated from the exceptional inspirational vocals as well. I believe that this track should get a full release as single with additional mixes. The climax remains on the deep side but with aggressive demanding bassliness to energise the parties even more. Last but not least are Space Rockerz with the fantastic Weapons Hot. This is what I call upfront modern electro prog trancer that manage to make you chair raving straight away start daydreaming of the next live appearance of Andy Moor. Techy drums, aggressive basslines drive the track forward in playful and quite twisted style as well. The breakdown starts really smooth and melodic followed by the huge burst of energetic synthy that will blow your senses. The climax is full on, hands in the air prime time banger that djs who play Mainstage sets can easily adopt and drive your crowd dizzy! Breaking The Silence Vol.3  is a statement about the future state of progressive trance and a must compilation. #PureGold Love iT
