The end of the year is in sight, but the yearlong celebrations for Armada Music's 20th anniversary are far from being over! The fourth episode of documentary series ‘Armada Music 20 Years Classics’ dropped, this time featuring Chicane’s debut single ‘Offshore’ - a timeless, quintessentially Balearic track that reached #14 in the UK Official Charts, #5 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Songs chart in the US. The track has gone on to be remixed by Armin van Buuren, AVIRA, Kryder and more.

December 1 will see the release of seminal trance originator Chicane’s next album: ‘The Greatest Misses’. “With the last studio album reaching dance number one in nine territories, the follow up had to be...well, in Chicane world it's a celebration of your greatest misses over the last few years; as yet an unprecedented album title I believe,” said Chicane. This is not a play on a greatest hits album, it is genuinely tracks that were either, according to Chicane, “released at the wrong time, or dare I say, a little ahead of their time."

London-based DJ and producer Jake Stewart, aka 1-800 GIRLS, lands on Armada Music today with a remix of Joe Smooth’s 1987 house classic ‘Promised Land’. Reiterating an empowering message across deep pads and brisk breakbeats, this new version promises a psychedelic, new-wave twist without losing the essence of the original. 

Promised Land was previously ranked #20 in Mixmag’s “100 Greatest Dance Singles of All Time” (1996) and #4 in DJ Mag’s “Top 100 Club Tunes” (1998).

 The second installment of the ‘Armada Music 20 Years Classics’ documentary series spotlights one of Armin van Buuren and Armada Music’s biggest hits to date: ‘This Is What It Feels Like’ featuring Canadian singer-songwriter Trevor Guthrie. Throughout its nearly sixteen minutes, the video homes in on the artistic crossroads Armin van Buuren found himself on ahead of creating the Grammy-nominated record, the risk he took with its pop-leaning sound and how it ended up becoming his most successful song to date.
