Bedroom DJ Competition is back with the 6th Edition in partnership with Mixcloud for emerging DJ talent to win a trip to Ibiza to attend a DJ Masterclass with Doorly, play an exclusive set at one of Ibiza’s iconic venues and gain VIP entrance to the 19th Edition DJ Awards at Pacha Ibiza. The winner will also go home with a prize pack of Pioneer DJ equipment including the new, top of the line DDJ-RZ, one of the first professional, native controllers for rekordbox dj. It’s an impressive prize and an invaluable opportunity for any aspiring DJ.

There will also be three lucky runners-up who will each receive a pair of Pioneer DJ HDJ-700 professional headphones.

The theme of this year’s DJ Awards is Let’s Dance, so we are inviting the next generation of DJs to send us a mix that will make us want to do just that! We will be looking for mixes that show individuality and a passion for electronic music.
MASTERCLASS WITH DOORLY


Doorly will be mentor for the one on one master class at the Pioneer DJ Lab at Café Mambo Ibiza. His skills behind the decks and in the studio have seen a rapid rise in the few years since Pete Tong touted him as a future star just. His dedication and passion to DJing is apparent to everyone who sees him perform. Sets are played out across four CDJs, plus samplers and FX units, and he is a firm believer that a DJ set should be a live, unique experience.

He’s a firm favourite in Ibiza and internationally. His concept Doorly & Friends is a big hit both sides of the Atlantic and he’s had releases on Cajual, Dirtybird, Moon Harbour, Toolroom and Hot Creations to name but a few.

Doorly has been directly involved with testing, design and training with Pioneer DJ equipment therefore there’s plenty to learn from the Huddersfield native.

HOW TO ENTER
• Entrants must be between the age of 18 and 25 on the date of the DJ Awards Ceremony (Monday, October 3rd)
• Upload you mix to your Mixcloud Profile with the Bedroom DJ artwork that can be download here
• Tag your mix “Bedroom DJ 6th Edition”
• Title your mix “Bedroom DJ 6th Edition” + your name
• Go to the competion page on Mixcloud here
• Include a short description of what makes your mix unique (max. 150 words) with your entry
• Enter your mix by selecting from the drop-down menu of your uploads below
• Mix must be unique to this contest
• Mix must reflect our theme for this year which is Let´s Dance, if our feet are tapping you’re on the right road! Be imaginative, express your personality and make this unique to you
• Mix must NOT be any longer than 30 minutes, if it is it will not be considered
• Mix will be accepted on whatever platform you prefer to use, be it laptop and controller, vinyl or CDJs, it’s all good
• Share your mix on your Facebook page tagging the DJ Awards page in the post including the hashtag #DJSLETSDANCE
• To be considered for judging mixes must gain a minimum of 50 plays
• Only unsigned and amateur DJs can enter. Those who hold residencies or are signed to a label will not be considered
• Competition closes on 14th September 2016 at Midnight (CET)

Voting was launched for our 19th Edition back in June, thanks for your support if you've already voted. If not, the final countdown has begun as we've entered the last week of voting, so please show your love for your favourite DJs. There are 111 nominees to choose your favourites from across 12 categories including Bass, Big Room House, Breakthrough, Deep House, Electronica, International DJ, Newcomer, Techno, Tech House and Trance, plus two new categories; Electronic Live Performer and House. 



VOTE NOW and YOU could be part of the 19th DJ Awards Ceremony at Pacha Ibiza.  Voting closes at midnight CET on Sunday, August 7th at DJAwards.com.

Up for grabs is a VIP table in the nominees’ area for you and a friend.  This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience, from the best seats in the house, where you will be surrounded by the nominees as the winners are announced. You will also get the chance of a meet and greet with one of the winners, plus you and your friend will take home a winners gift bag.

The winner will be selected at random and notified by email no later than Friday 12th August. 

DJ Awards Winners will be announced at the ceremony in Pacha Ibiza on Monday, October 3rd where they will receive the prestigious Kryptonite award which is modeled on the famous rock in Ibiza “Es Vedra”.  There are also 10 Special Industry Awards, that are chosen by the panel of electronic music professionals, which include International Festival, Dance Nation Of The Year, Electronic Music Pioneer, Ibiza DJ and Track Of The Season will also be presented during the ceremony.



This year’s theme is Let’s Dance and it could be you who will join us for this very special night. As the saying goes…. "Life may not always be the party we hoped for, but while we're here let’s dance!"

Copenhagen’s Music For Dreams together with Vaughan (Pacha - Funky Room/ Babylon Beach) are returning to Las Dalias on Thursday 4th August 2016 for the second of three inspiring summer parties. 

Headlining the event at Las Dalias Hippy Market will be musical legends Laid Back, who will perform a very special live concert. The Danish duo, who have sold over 35 million records worldwide, will be playing all of their beloved hits including ‘Sunshine Reggae’, ‘Bakerman’, the electronic masterpiece ‘White Horse’ and the modern Ibiza anthem ‘Beautiful Day’ - expect a very special - once in a life time concert - with stunning visuals.



Guitarist Jacob Gurevitsch will be performing too. He is most notably known for tracks on compilations such as Cafe Del Mar, and Buddha Bar, and his tracks ‘Mexican Margarita’ and ‘Lovers in Paris’ will be sure to please any Balearic aficionado.

Bongo Entp. will be the third live act of the night. Featuring percussionist and frontman Jacob Andersen, the band will be performing their Brazilian meets funky, world music soundtrack including  ‘Lujon’ and ‘Foto Feita Do Avia~o’, both standout cuts from the newly released album ‘Debut’ on Music For Dreams.

Carrying on the party will be original Ibiza DJ, Pippi, who has just released his beautiful debut artist album on Music For Dreams. Entitled ‘Bocadillos Variados’, it’s an exciting journey full of funky and Balearic grooves.

Also behind the decks will be Music For Dreams label boss, Kenneth Bager, who has also just released his brand new album ‘Premiere Classé’ featuring Damon C Scott (Storm Queen) and Danish actress Sophe Gråbøl - known from the cult TV Series ‘The Killing’. Kenneth is also known for his 9 years as a DJ/presenter on Ibiza Sonica Radio.

The full DJ line up is as follows: A stellar cast of local and international talent including Ibiza legend DJ Pippi, Kenneth Bager (Music For Dreams), Willie Graff (Pacha), George Solar (Babylon Beach) and Justin Mallett (Babylon Beach).

The parties start at 21:00 hours and will continue until very late... 


Home of Ibiza’s legendary hippy market, Las Dalias has been on the scene since 1954. The iconic venue is located on the main road between Santa Eulalia and San Carlos and is one of the main congregating points for Bohemian Ibiza.

Entrance is €20 euros in advance or 25 euros on the door.

Pacha Ibiza will premier and host Hot Since 82’s brand new ‘Knee Deep In Ibiza’ residency this summer on the white isle. Daley Padley (HS82) will play, curate and host x3 special events at the iconic club. Inviting a host of legends, residents, friends and family to join him in the booth (and Dance floor).

The Yorkshireman said …’Ibiza is like second home for me, so to have a platform like Pacha to showcase what my label and parties are all about is amazing. I have a few tricks up my sleeve too, It’s all very exciting!’.



Hot Since 82’s ‘Knee Deep’ events have exploded in the last 18 months, having taking festival stages, arenas and clubs by storm worldwide. Including ADE, EDC New York, Glastonbury, GrooveFest, LWE, Mint Festival, Output, Sonar, Verboten, Warung and Watergate to name a few. Creating a perfect moment in time where sound and atmosphere utterly immerse the dance floor every step of the way.

Pacha will get Knee Deep In Ibiza as part of the INSANE residency on Friday 24th June, Friday 15th July and Friday 5th August. The ethos is simple, forward thinking house music for the next generation; doffing ones hat to the past, whilst always looking to the future.

Following the news that Ibiza’s favourite new party Glitterbox will return to Space Ibiza this year, we can now reveal full season line-ups for the Friday residency from 03 June to Friday 23 September 2016.

It’s not often a party is as universally loved as Glitterbox, but from Resident Advisor to Marie Claire, Ibiza’s now firmly established house and disco party has acquired a prized status amongst European clubbers.

At its heart, Glitterbox embodies the idea that the dancefloor should be the focus of a truly transformative night: something of a rarity in the DJ-idolising culture of the modern club. Every Friday throughout last season, Space was transformed into a glittering, hedonistic playground, with extravagant live shows and the finest, most eclectic soundtrack found anywhere on the island truly setting the party apart, complimented by regular appearances by stand-out PAs and local DJs. 

The full list of artists now confirmed for the 2016 season is an exhaustive roll call of quality house and disco DJs, comprising Basement Jaxx (DJ set), Kenny Dope, Dimitri From Paris, Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry, Joey Negro, Simon Dunmore, Purple Disco Machine, The Shapeshifters, John Morales, Nightmares on Wax, Norman Jay, DJ Spen, Horse Meat Disco, Crazy P (DJ set), David Morales and Heller & Farley. 

Line-ups for Space’s El Salon – including island residents DJ Pippi, DJ Antz and Mo’funk – along with further DJs and live PAs will be announced over the coming weeks. 

GLITTERBOX’S SIMON DUNMORE SAID:
“The reaction to Glitterbox in Ibiza last season was one of overwhelming positivity. DJs that have real heritage, can read a crowd and know when to drop the right record deserve a platform on the island. The Terrace is a perfect venue for Glitterbox, so the decision to stay there for a second season was an easy one.  To be involved in Space’s final Ibiza season is a privilege, and we intended to make it the go-to night on Fridays throughout the summer.”  

Last season, Glitterbox relocated from Booom to Space and enjoyed a revelatory sophomore year.  The opening party reviews were exemplary.  Glitterbox’s unique fusion of classic and contemporary dance music, backed by imaginative theming across everything from Mark Wardel’s glamorous artwork to the Savage dance crews Nutbags, Hot Heels and Sink The Pink has fitted Space perfectly, and the Glitterbox crowds happily swelled whilst the Friday night soundtrack continued to impress. 

Glitterbox moved off island last summer at London’s Ministry of Sound, with a second event held in December 2015. Further UK and international events will be announced soon, while Glitterbox makes its festival debut at We Are FSTVL in May.

After 27 definitive years in Ibiza, Space will be closing its doors for good after the upcoming season. During that time Space has established itself as one of the world’s greatest clubs, and leaves a legacy in dance music that cannot be overstated.
