On Friday October 24th, during Amsterdam Dance Event 2025 and in honour of Amsterdam 750, Audio Obscura takes a new step in its tradition of groundbreaking shows, presenting the world premiere of PRAISE – Honey Dijon x ZO! Gospel Choir at De Nieuwe Kerk.

Pre-registration for tickets to this unique event is now open via Audio Obscura’s official pre-registration page: audio-obscura.com.

The event marks the first time in its more than 600-year history that the historic national monument will be transformed into a venue for electronic music, with Audio Obscura the only organisation trusted to undertake the task. With previous events like the now-legendary Highway Rave and its party in the bicycle tunnel under the famed Rijksmuseum, Audio Obscura has already demonstrated how electronic music can take on a new dimension in unexpected places. The choice of De Nieuew Kerk fits seamlessly into this tradition and marks another milestone in Amsterdam’s cultural tradition.

The unique location provides the perfect setting to host the world premiere of a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration between internationally acclaimed DJ Honey Dijon and the ZO! Gospel Choir, one of the Netherlands’ leading vocal ensembles. The choir is known for its energetic renditions of soul, R&B and gospel, and has previously collaborated with artists such as Diana Ross, Kamasi Washington and Gregory Porter.

Honey Dijon is considered one of the most influential voices in electronic music worldwide. Born and raised in Chicago, the birthplace of house music, she became an icon thanks to her inimitable blend of house, techno, and disco. Besides her status as a beloved DJ and producer, she is known for her outspoken engagement with fashion, art, and activism. She has performed at the world's biggest clubs and festivals, and continues to champion diversity and inclusivity within the music scene.

The evening opens with DJ Juliana X, who blends her Brazilian background and Rotterdam roots into an energetic mix of Chicago house, Detroit techno, and unexpected influences such as eurodance and acid. She is followed by Honey Dijon and the ZO! Gospel Choir, who take the audience on a captivating journey of music, choreography, and dance. Expect an hour of pure energy where gospel and electronic music amplify one another, culminating in a collective experience like no other.

The Nieuwe Kerk as the backdrop: a historic monument in the heart of Amsterdam, the Nieuwe Kerk has played a central role in the city for over six centuries. Consecrated in 1409, this national monument is known as the place where kings and queens are inaugurated and where national mourning and wedding ceremonies take place. It also serves as a cultural venue for leading exhibitions and concerts. Never before has electronic music been performed there, making this performance by Honey Dijon and the ZO! Gospel Choir not only a first for ADE but also a new chapter in the rich history of De Nieuwe Kerk.

Welcome to ADE Lab Village – the ultimate new home for growing your career in electronic music. This October, ADE Lab transforms Westergas into a vibrant hub where learning, creating, and connecting meet. Imagine a village built just for future artists, producers, and music industry professionals, complete with venues like WestWeelde, Radio Radio, and Pacific Amsterdam, each offering stages, studios, workshops, and chill-out spaces to inspire your next move.

Alongside this creative playground, ADE Lab introduces its four dedicated Courses – Producer, Visual Arts, Performing Artist, and Industry – designed to turn your passion into a pathway. Over four immersive days, you’ll dive into masterclasses, studio sessions, and hands-on experiences led by mentors like Bad Boombox, Chris Kore, NIGHT Manoeuvres, and Sarah McBriar. From exclusive kick-off sessions to personalized guidance and access to the ADE Lab Alumni network, these Courses give you the tools, connections, and confidence to shape your career.

Together, the ADE Lab Village and its Courses create a complete ecosystem for music makers and industry starters: one place to explore, experiment, and take your first big step into the world of electronic music.

ADE Lab Village is the place to learn, create, and meet the people who will inspire your next move

Instead of a street; you’ll have a Village to explore. ADE Lab could be the place where your pathway into the industry starts, and now it's all in one village. Each step you take, you’ll be surrounded by others who define what comes next in electronic music.

WestWeelde
This industrial, multi-facetted hot spot is the main stage for ideas that stick. Catch plenary talks and masterclasses in the big rooms, then recharge in your trusted Lab Living area; our chill-out space to meet peers, connect with brands, or just take it all in.

Radio Radio
Get hands-on in the new workshop area within the iconic night club Radio Radio, or drop into the vinyl listening bar for a session where the turntable becomes the teacher.

Pacific Amsterdam
Go to the creative club Pacific Amsterdam if you dream big. This studio-like space hosts intimate talks and masterclasses with some of the most influential names in the game, while the Gear Test Lab and Gear Workshop Room let you try the latest tools with your own hands. 〰️ The reveal of Gear brands drops soon!

The neighborhood where tomorrow’s music industry takes shape

Bakkerswinkel
A gear-filled recording space where you can experiment, record, and make something on the spot.

Mossel & Gin
Nestled in a hidden garden in Westerpark; Mossel & Gin will be one of our smaller spots, but fun. We’re keeping this program under wraps for now.

Amsterdam Flavours
Another mystery, but worth the wait. This place will center learning experiences for all visitors of ADE Lab.

  • ADE Lab returns with its four Courses to give young music makers, creators, and industry starters the career boost they’ve been looking for. To help you find your path in ADE Lab’s extensive program, the Courses cover ‘Producer,’ ‘Visual Arts,’ ‘Performing Artist,’ and ‘Industry.’ Those ready to go all-in can apply for a dedicated ADE Lab Course with a kickoff session on ADE Wednesday, led by mentors Bad Boombox, Chris Kore, NIGHT Manoeuvres, and Sarah McBriar.
