⌨️ Sarah de Warren - What U Like EP out on Black Hole Recordings
Following four singles released throughout the first half of 2026, Sarah de Warren now brings them together on her debut six-track collection, ‘What U Like EP’. Featuring two brand new tracks, ‘Angels’ and ‘Goddess’, the EP captures the different corners of her evolving club sound.
Angels is a hypnotic tech-trance track, built around driving percussion and an uplifting melodic payoff. At its centre is Sarah's vocal, exploring themes of release, transcendence and finding clarity through chaos. The repeated refrain, "I hear the angels call my name," gives the track a spiritual, transcending edge without losing its peak-time focus.
Goddess takes a darker melodic techno approach, pairing tribal-inspired rhythms and rolling percussion. A choral chant-like vocal hook carries the breakdown, centering on strength, self-belief and renewal, before the track returns with driving 303s and a harder final section.
The ‘What U Need EP’ is available now through all good streaming and sales platforms.

SUMMARY REVIEW
Sarah de Warren’s ‘What U Like EP’ on Black Hole Recordings is a masterclass in polished, high-impact electronic music production, gathering the four singles released earlier in 2026 and complementing them with two brand-new tracks, ‘Angels’ and ‘Goddess.’ The EP opens with a sense of clarity and cohesion that immediately sets it apart. The melodic hooks and harmonics flow effortlessly through each track, with a striking balance between vocal-driven elements and instrumental peaks. Every layer feels deliberately placed, creating a lush soundscape that’s both accessible and deeply immersive.
From a technical perspective, the sonic engineering and production quality are pristine, with every frequency controlled and articulated. The mixdown allows each element to breathe, while the mastering pushes the energy to club-ready levels without ever sounding over-compressed. The use of effects and spatial design is handled with care, building environments that feel both intimate in headphones and massive on the dancefloor. Tracks like ‘Angels’ excel in emotional resonance, with Sarah’s vocals soaring against shimmering pads and trance-infused leads, while ‘Goddess’ leans into darker tones, driven by tribal rhythms and rolling low-end energy.
The arrangement and build dynamics demonstrate a keen understanding of modern club flow. Each track evolves naturally, rewarding attentive listening while maintaining relentless dancefloor utility. Transitions, risers, breaks, and drops are sculpted to maximize energy flow and set momentum. Cue points and loop potential are intuitive, and the intro and outro sections provide seamless mixability for DJs, making the EP highly functional in live sets. The crowd reaction potential is palpable; these tracks are engineered for emotional peaks and collective release.
Creativity and artistic identity shine through in the way Sarah merges tech-trance, melodic techno, and vocal-driven electronica. Her lyrics and performances strike a deeply personal chord, reinforcing the thematic arcs of transcendence, strength, and renewal. The emotional impact is unmistakable, and the catchiness ensures high replay value across platforms. The EP’s arrangement also aligns perfectly with streaming algorithmic preferences, offering instantly recognizable hooks that make it highly shazamable and playlist-friendly. With its versatility across club, festival, and social media edits, ‘What U Like EP’ is pure gold—a meticulously designed body of work that resonates with both casual listeners and dedicated dance music enthusiasts..

EBENEZER are here to carve out their own lane in forward-thinking club music. The collaborative project of Ruben de Ronde and Estiva pushes the intensity further, delivering their first brilliant EP with driving, high-energy cuts built for peak-time moments. Razor-sharp percussion, rolling basslines, and a euphoric lift collide in tracks that balance raw power with emotional release. The Colorblind EP solidifies EBENEZER’s sound as both uncompromising and refined, primed for big stages and late-night club floors alike. The five-track package includes their brand-new vocal anthem "Colorblind" alongside Sarah de Warren, as well as the heavy-hitting underground club cuts "Lovlee On My Skin," "Falls," "Heaven," and "ArenA".

Bringing a wealth of industry expertise to the project is Ruben de Ronde, a highly celebrated Dutch DJ, producer, and a foundational pillar of the global trance community. Widely recognized as the long-standing co-host of Armin van Buuren’s globally influential A State of Trance (ASOT) radio show, Ruben has spent nearly two decades shaping the electronic music landscape. As an astute A&R manager for Armada Music and the mastermind behind his own progressive imprint, Statement! Recordings, he has consistently balanced a busy international touring schedule with a reputation for pristine, atmospheric studio engineering.

Complementing this sonic vision is Estiva (Steven Baan), a pioneering force in progressive house and melodic techno. Since breaking into the international circuit in 2006, the Netherlands-native has evolved from a bedroom producer into a globally touring mainstay with high-profile releases on standard-bearing labels like Anjunabeats, Colorize, and Enhanced Recordings. Revered for his ability to weave deep, hypnotic grooves with sophisticated, emotionally charged melodies, Estiva’s intricate sound design and club-ready instincts serve as the perfect counterweight in this thrilling new alliance. Together under the EBENEZER banner, these two veterans strip away the boundaries of their solo sounds to unlock a ferocious, warehouse-ready energy.

[item value="10"]EBENEZER - Colorblind EP [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]EBENEZER's Colorblind EP marks a triumphant entry into the world of cutting-edge melodic progressive trance, and the title track featuring Sarah de Warren exemplifies the meticulous craftsmanship behind the project. The track’s rhythm and groove lock in immediately, driven by a tightly produced 128 BPM foundation of pulsating basslines and thumping kicks. The percussion, both razor-sharp and dynamically layered, ensures that the energy flow and transitions maintain an irresistible momentum, perfectly suited for peak-time club moments and festival main stages. Each melodic hook and harmonic layer is carefully interwoven, creating an immersive soundstage that balances euphoria with a sense of emotional release. The drops and build-ups are not only technically pristine but also engineered to maximize crowd reaction, with their tension and resolution designed for seamless cueing and looping in live DJ sets. The production demonstrates a masterful use of sound design and spatial effects. Wide stereo imaging and delicately measured reverbs create a sense of atmospheric immersion that allows the vocal line to soar with clarity, while still maintaining rich harmonic content in the background. The dynamic range is expertly balanced, allowing for high loudness levels without causing listener fatigue, and each element of the arrangement contributes to a cohesive storytelling arc. The track’s structure, with its thoughtfully designed intro and outro, ensures BPM consistency and easy synchronization in multi-track environments, catering perfectly to professional DJs. The use of effects—filters, delays, and subtle modulation—enhances the track’s identity, demonstrating creativity and originality while maintaining club functionality. From a human perspective, Colorblind offers more than just dancefloor energy. Scientific studies, such as those by Thoma et al. (2013) and Schäfer et al. (2013), have shown that music with rhythmic predictability, uplifting melodies, and emotionally expressive vocals can improve mood, reduce anxiety, and enhance cognitive performance. The euphoric drops and emotionally resonant vocals of Colorblind can positively impact mental health by triggering dopamine release, often associated with pleasurable musical experiences (Salimpoor et al., 2011). Its steady rhythm and energetic flow also make it highly suitable for fitness and wellness classes, where synchronized movement with music has been shown to increase motivation and endurance (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). By combining technical excellence with emotional depth, EBENEZER’s work enhances not just the dancefloor experience but also contributes to overall well-being. #PureGold Loveit [/content]

With recent club dates taking her from Honolulu to Rotterdam, Hong Kong to Las Vegas, Singapore to London, Sarah de Warren steps briefly off the road to unveil her latest single. Swapping the bold mainstage techno energy of recent releases ‘What U Like’ and ‘Games’, she links up with CIRCA96 (a.k.a. Craig Connelly) for the trance-tipped ‘Breathing Underwater’.

A return to her roots, Breathing Underwater reveals another side of Sarah’s artistry - the emotional songwriter behind the club records. Floating over the production with soaring, ethereal vocals, she taps into the more vulnerable edges of her sound while keeping the intensity intact.

Built around themes of devotion, surrender and love beyond limitation, the track pairs vivid lyricism with a sense of emotional escapism, designed as much for the heart as the dancefloor.

Having created quite the CIRCA96-stir of late (not least with his remix of Ton TB’s ‘Electronic Malfunction’, which Tiësto used to ignite Dreamscape), Craig Connelly’s weighs in on the production side. He outfits ‘Breathing Underwater’ with shimmering arpeggios, cascading synths, bleeped lament and a pulsating drive that amplifies Sarah’s message beyond measure.

Breathing Underwater is the third single to be taken from Sarah de Warren’s forthcoming six-track Summer 2026 EP, available now via all streaming platforms HERE

Her clubfloor-priming single ‘What U Like’ set the tone from ASOT 25 across stages throughout her debut Asia & Australia tour. Now Sarah de Warren follows it with ‘Games’ - a darker, more controlled exploration of power, tension and emotional manipulation on the dancefloor.

Where the first single introduced the EP’s sonic world, ‘Games’ sharpens its edge. Built for the MainStage, de Warren’s sweet yet haunting vocal weaves through a darker, trance-leaning production, pairing her signature hook-led songwriting with a hypnotic, late-night pull.

At its core, ‘Games’ explores the psychology of attraction and control — the unspoken push and pull between chemistry and logic. It builds a seductive illusion of limitless pleasure, where de Warren offers herself as both “oxygen” and “poison”. Beneath that promise of perfection, a quiet imbalance begins to surface as she reveals why she was never meant to be trusted with it.

With the first single already climbing both Beatport and US dance radio charts, Sarah de Warren’s upcoming EP is shaping up to be a defining statement — balancing club functionality with a distinct, self-assured identity.

The second single of her six-track EP run to the summer, stay ahead of Sarah’s wicked ‘Games’ here.

[item value="10"]Sarah de Warren - Games[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Sarah de Warren’s latest release, “Games,” represents a masterclass in modern trance production, delivering a meticulously polished soundscape that resonates across the mainstage and beyond. The track opens with an immediate sense of rhythm, groove, and drive that locks the listener into its kinetic energy. Its percussive elements are tight and precise, with a subtle layering of kick and sub-bass that provides an unrelenting propulsion. Studies in music psychology suggest that such rhythmic entrainment can enhance mood and focus (Thaut & Abiru, 2010), which explains why tracks like this are highly effective in fitness and wellness classes, supporting both cardiovascular endurance and cognitive stimulation. The melodic hooks and harmonic layers are crafted with an elegance that defines Sarah’s signature style. Her vocal line hovers between ethereal and commanding, blending with atmospheric synths and carefully designed pads that fill the stereo spectrum. The transitions, drops, and build-ups demonstrate masterful timing. Each rise in energy feels inevitable, and the 142 BPM tempo maintains an unbroken energy flow and momentum, ideal for high-intensity workouts or mental invigoration. Research has shown that music with consistent, high-energy beats can elevate dopamine release and improve perceived exertion during exercise (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012), a phenomenon evident in the way “Games” motivates active listeners. Production quality is pristine, with sound design that combines sharp trance leads, delicate plucks, and a controlled low-end that never muddies the mix. Spatial effects and reverbs are applied with restraint, creating depth without overwhelming the core elements. This attention to dynamic range and loudness balance ensures the track maintains its punch on large festival systems while remaining enjoyable on personal listening setups. The originality of arrangement and structure is evident in how the song balances hypnotic repetition with organic development, all the while preserving cohesion and storytelling that reflects the psychological theme of attraction and control. Emotionally, “Games” resonates on multiple levels. The duality of Sarah’s lyrical message—simultaneously offering herself as “oxygen” and “poison”—embodies the seductive tension the track conveys. This emotional resonance has implications for mental health, as engaging with emotionally charged music has been linked to catharsis and stress reduction (Juslin & Västfjäll, 2008). In wellness settings, the track’s pulsating energy can foster flow states, a psychological condition where individuals experience deep immersion and focus, which has notable benefits for both mental balance and creative expression. For DJs and live performers, the track’s intro and outro structures are crafted for seamless integration, offering reliable BPM consistency, cue points, and looping potential. Its dynamic energy makes it a valuable asset for maintaining set flow and eliciting strong crowd reactions. The combination of catchiness, replay value, and festival suitability positions “Games” as not just a club hit but also a potent tool for energizing collective experiences, reinforcing the social and emotional benefits of shared musical environments. In conclusion, “Games” exemplifies technical and artistic excellence in electronic music, while also demonstrating measurable positive effects on human wellness, both physically and psychologically. By aligning musicality with mental and emotional stimulation, Sarah de Warren has delivered a track that transcends entertainment, becoming an immersive and uplifting experience. #PureGold Love iT [/content]

The track’s arrangement demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, featuring pulsating basslines, moody percussive layers, and spatial effects that generate a sense of expansive depth. Sarah de Warren’s hypnotic vocal performance delicately floats above dark kicks and atmospheric pads, creating a captivating tension that guides listeners through its evolving sonic narrative. The progressive trance groove and melodic hooks can stimulate dopamine release, promoting a sense of reward and euphoria (Salimpoor et al., 2011). Furthermore, the immersive atmosphere and spatial sound design may activate the brain’s default mode network, reducing stress and improving mood (Menon & Levitin, 2005). [item value="10"]Nifra and Sarah de Warren – On Repeat [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Nifra and Sarah de Warren’s collaborative track “On Repeat,” released via Dreamstate Records as part of the 10 Years of Dreamstate compilation, is a masterclass in modern trance-techno hybrid production. The track operates at a driving 145 BPM, blending euphoric trance elements with high-energy techno and nu-rave influences, creating a sonic experience designed for peak festival hours. Sarah de Warren’s ethereal vocal line functions as both a melodic anchor and an evolving texture, sidechained against the rhythmic pulse to integrate seamlessly with the track’s percussive foundation. The sound design in “On Repeat” demonstrates meticulous attention to layering and spatial imaging. Sidechain compression is expertly utilized, allowing the kick and bass to dominate without muddying the midrange where Sarah’s vocals and synth arpeggios reside. The modulating triplets and piercing rave stabs are processed through a combination of stereo widening and subtle reverb tails, enhancing the immersive quality of the mix. Transitions between breakdowns and drops are executed with filtered sweeps and risers, supported by glitchy percussive fills that maintain forward momentum. The drop structure shows precise automation in EQ and dynamics, ensuring that the hard bounce climax lands with maximum impact while preserving dynamic headroom. From a psychological and wellness perspective, “On Repeat” provides substantial benefits. Up-tempo, rhythmically consistent electronic music has been linked to improved mood and cognitive performance in scientific studies (Thoma et al., 2013). The 145 BPM tempo aligns closely with optimal heart rate zones for cardio-based fitness activities, making the track effective for spin classes, HIIT workouts, and dance-based wellness sessions (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). Moreover, trance music’s repetitive melodic structures and harmonic progressions can induce a flow state, reducing stress and fostering mindfulness during physical and mental exercises. Research into music therapy and exercise psychology consistently highlights that high-energy electronic music improves endurance, motivation, and perceived exertion levels. The entrainment of brainwave activity to rhythmic auditory cues has been observed to enhance focus and reduce fatigue (Bood et al., 2013). Sarah de Warren’s vocals—soothing yet energizing—can stimulate dopamine release, contributing to an elevated emotional state while also aiding in stress reduction. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

A fan favorite connecting the bond between The Rabbit Hole Circus and In Search of Sunrise 19 projects, Light On saw Markus Schulz in an emotionally pensive guise; inspired by an outstanding vocal performance by Sarah de Warren. It is provided a fresh perspective by ZOYA, who turns Light On into a warm, summer-feeling singalong; appealing for lower tempo, progressive-led trance followers.

01: Christina Novelli & Sarah de Warren - Leaving Me (Original Mix)
02: Christina Novelli & Sarah de Warren - Leaving Me (Extended Mix)

Artist x artist; artist x remixer; singer x artist – hey, we can do that all day! Singer x singer though, now that’s not something you see (or hear!) all too often. There’s no secret as to the ‘why’ either, as it’s amongst the trickiest of creative balances to strike. At the core of the most successful ones though is a profound understanding of one another’s method, as is the case for Christina Novelli and Sarah de Warren.

Having closed the last chapter of her ‘Heavy EP’ with the floor-flooring ‘Memories’ (and a yacht-rocking Cancun livestream!), Christina’s right back in the fray today.

Joined by ‘Monster’-singer/songwriter Sarah, with ‘Leaving Me’, the pair are ready to give September’s heartstrings one mighty tug.

Words, meanings, sentiments, feelings – they’re amongst our most personal aspects. For singers though, there are a few areas of ‘we’ve all been there’ commonality and ‘Leaving Me’s theme is certainly one of them. The experience of hearing two of clubland’s most recognizable voices go verse-for-verse and line-for-line on its song could hardly be any more compelling. Until that is they come together on its soaring-yet-searing chorus!

A singular release and a unique experience all in one, you’ll find Christina & Sarah’s ‘Leaving Me’ wherever all good music is sold or streamed HERE

[review] [content title="Summary for Christina Novelli & Sarah de Warren - Leaving Me" label="Overall Score"]When two of the most alluring voices in trance collaborate the result can only be outstanding and exceed any humble expectations. Both Christina Novelli & Sarah de Warren are well documented and respected for their ability to perform beautifully any lyrics with happy or sad connotations. On Leaving Me both singers manage to capture our feelings and make us easily identify with the story they are narrating in the lyrics. Full of emotional dynamism the performers merged well with the bubbly driving basslines, thumping drums, chunky kicks and colorful euphoric big synthy stabs. The result is a magnificent record that can crossover and appeal to the more pop dance oriented audience as well the die hard vocal trance fans. Definitely a peak time to unite and sing a long with the magical voices! #PureGold Love[/content] [item value="10"]Christina Novelli & Sarah de Warren - Leaving Me[/item] [item value="10"]Beat and Rhythm[/item] [item value="10"]Basslines and Groove[/item] [item value="10"] Melody [/item] [item value="10"] Synths [/item] [item value="10"]Breakdown[/item] [item value="10"]Climax / Drop / Crescendo / Pay off moment[/item] [item value="10"]Intensity, Drive and Energy[/item] [item value="10"]Sound-design and Arrangement[/item] [item value="10"]Overall Atmosphere[/item] [item value="10"]Goosebumps / Shivers moments[/item] [item value="10"]Emotional affinity and heartfelt moments[/item] [item value="10"]Originality and Inventiveness[/item] [item value="10"]Radio Friendly[/item] [item value="10"]Vocals & lyrics[/item] [item value="10"]You can’t get this memorable track out of your head[/item] [item value="10"]It has potential to become an anthem or a classic[/item] [/review]
