Last night was amazing. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Skrillex, Steve Aoki, Yves V on the Mainstage, Pete Tong hosted his own stage and invited John Digweed, Diplo at the Mad Decent Stage. Hundreds of Belgian guests danced the night away at the Belgian stage. Even more joy for the Belgians, Filip Verhulst proposed his girlfriend Eline Peeters at TomorrowWorld. Filip surprised the love of his life with a marriage proposal during a helicopter flight and she said yes. Sunday, the last day of TomorrowWorld.

Today, the People of Tomorrow will be blown away because the line-up will set them on fire. They can discover local talent at the ATL stage, deep-house of Ben Pearce at the French Express stage, minimal techno with Gaiser and Maceo Plex at the Minus Stage, progressive trance of Cosmic Gate. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are hosting with Steve Aoki The Dim Mak vs. Smash the House stage. The Volcano Mainstage will detonate with a dynamite line-up of Carnage, Martin Garrix, David Guetta and Kaskade.

TomorrowWorld 2014, The Arising Of Life started with big success and is already over the place in the USA media who comment on the phenomenon that came to be TomorrowWorld. For 2nd year the 3 days of the celebration of Electronic Music will be written with golden letters in the history of USA festivals. The founders of Tomorrowland scouted 100 sites all over the world before choosing Bouckaert’s Farm in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, just 25 miles southwest of Atlanta. The accessible yet secluded farm with its gently rolling hills, lush greenery and sparkling lakes became the site for the inaugural edition of TomorrowWorld because it happened to bear a strong resemblance to the expansive park in Boom, Belgium that has been hosting Tomorrowland since its inception in 2005.

Interview with Carl Bouckaert, Venue Owner

Mr. Bouckaert, how did it feel to welcome 40,000 people in your backyard last September?

Carl Bouckaert: It definitely was a big party! It truly felt great to see all these thousands of young people from all over the world gathered here in South Fulton County to enjoy the best electronic dance music festival in the world. You could really feel this amazingly positive, peaceful and happy energy everywhere you would go.

I tremendously enjoyed every phase of the project, from the months of preparation, to the build-up in the month of September, to the actual festival. The team behind this mind blowing project is amazing. They give attention to the smallest detail, whether it be about security or an element of the decor, everything needs to be perfect and in harmony. The way they integrated this fairytale concept in the natural setting of this property was stunning. My wish last year was to show the world our Southern hospitality and I think we did just that!

You are very adamant about keeping not only your property but also this area green and beautiful. Did the TomorrowWorld organizers respect that?

Carl Bouckaert: Very much so. Sustainability is a high priority for them. During the festival they were constantly cleaning up and once everyone left and all the stages were removed, they made sure the property was restored to its natural beauty.

Now that you see the 2nd edition coming alive in the property, what are some of your thoughts?

Carl Bouckaert: I am just as excited as last year to see the world come together again. Last year was a fabulous first edition, so this year should be even better, since we all have more experience to fine-tune it even more. I can’t wait.

The commissioner Bill  Edwards of  the Fulton Council, District 7 was interviewed about TomorrowWorld too.

Commissioner Edwards, now that the 2nd TomorrowWorld is almost upon us, how do you look back on the first edition?

Bill  Edwards: Allowing TomorrowWorld to take place in South Fulton County has been one of the best decisions in my 14 years as County Commissioner. Not only did it expose our beautiful community to the entire world, but it also generated an incredible amount of revenue in the local economy. TomorrowWorld put South Fulton County on the world map, not only as a beautiful area, but also as a friendly community that welcomes business.

Based on your close collaboration with the organizers, how would you describe the experience?

Bill  Edwards: The festival is extremely well managed and professionally run. Nothing is left to chance. Behind the scenes it is run as a very tight ship, with amazing safety precautions, on and off site, a very thorough, real-time traffic plan and strict adhesion to the hours of operation and the sound limitations. As a visitor, all you see is amazing decorations, world class DJ’s and most of all three days of happiness!

Are you and your staff ready for the second edition of TomorrowWorld?

Bill  Edwards: Yes, we are ready now and we will be ready for the next ten years as well.

Thanks to Debby Wilmsen, TomorrowWorld spokesperson for suppling the interviews!

The first festival day of TomorrowWorld has almost finished and it was full of epic moments and brilliant music. Almost 50.000 discovered the madness and were witnesses of the Arising of Life. It has been while since an active volcano erupted on US soil – not yet counting Yellowstone of course.

But here it is. The most beautiful, dangerous-looking and beloved fire-spitting mountain we ever saw. Long have the hills of Chattahoochee been full of tremors, signs of something big coming this way. And as we all descend on the magnificent terrain, smoke in the distance reveals what we all hoped for; the TomorrowWorld volcano arising to spew its life-giving fire over thousands of ravers raging away. Today Laidback Luke brought his Super You & Me crew along for a day full of heroism. The Belgian DJ Coone represented the famous Q Dance stage. People of Tomorrow could get rowdy at the It’s a Trap stage with Kennedy Jones and Green Lantern. On the Volcano mainstage beats from Cazzette, NERVO and Tiësto.

Shaquille O’Neal came to visit TomorrowWorld. He travelled from Orlando to Chattahoochee Hills to experience the Arising of Life.  Also Ludacris came to visit the Magical hills.

Tomorrow, Saturday September 27,  a dozen of Belgian artists will surprise the American guests at the Belgian stage. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Skrillex, Steve Aoki, Yves V on the Mainstage and Pete Tong will host his own stage and invites John Digweed and many more.

Facts & Figures

• At TomorrowWorld the cashless system has been introduces. All guests pay with their bracelets instead of cash or tokens.
• Did you know the volcano is a staggering 400 feet wide, and a hundred feet tall?
• The Volcano stage was shipped over from Belgium in 80 containers that traveled nearly 6000 miles to get here.
• Over 180.000 people experienced Belgium’s Arising of Life in 2013, and 16 million viewers tuned in to the madness online.
• Apart from a friendly fire-breathing Spirit of the Mountain, the mainstage is equipped with multiple waterfalls.
• All the pyrotechnics are completely computerized. The volcano will erupt multiple times a day.

History of TomorrowWorld:

Was it fate that would have the world’s most international music event shipped overseas only to land on a farm in Georgia? The stars appeared to have aligned thanks to the state’s rich topography and a timely joint venture. It was a prolonged dream for Tomorrowland organizers to bring the festival to America. And last year, the opportunity came. As world-renowned DJ Armin van Buuren says in the 2014 MTV documentary on the festival’s 10th anniversary: “In many ways, Tomorrowland is the capital of dance music in Europe.”

While 180,000 were able to secure their tickets for the 3-day event, two million were turned away. It was time to expand.

The news that instantly put Fairburn on the festival world map came during a glitzy reception at the 2013 Miami Music Week, during which it was officially announced that the first U.S. edition of TomorrowWorld would take place September 27-29, 2013.

If there is one song that has become absolutely synonymous with Tomorrowland, it is unquestionably ‘Ocarina’. The track was one of the musical highlights of the Tomorrowland 2012 aftermovie, and with just under three weeks to go until the enormous ‘Book of Wisdom’ stage opens for the very first time outside of Belgium, for promoters ID&T there was quite simply no other record suited to become the inaugural TomorrowWorld Anthem.

A collaboration between Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and their protégés Wolfpack, ‘Ocarina’ has remained maddeningly out of download reach for almost two years. Speaking about the huge affection fans have had for the track, Dimitri Vegas said “It’s just one of those records where the love and interest from everyone has been beyond enormous. Tens of thousands of people have been asking us to release Ocarina for well over a year now, and the time finally felt right. To have the track named as the official Anthem for TomorrowWorld as well, that’s just a huge honour – awesome!”

Like Mike added “Seriously, this is one of the hottest records we drop in our shows that everybody around the world sings along to, so we can’t wait to do something very special with it in Atlanta.”

The track is accompanied by an incredible comic animated clip, the video sequel to the Tomorrowland anthem ‘Chattahoochee’ which was released in July 2013 and smashed its way through to top the Beatport Top 100 chart.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, who last week announced their first ever stadium show in Belgium at the Sportspaleis in Antwerp, have rapidly risen to the upper echelons of electronic dance music, gaining all important critical acclaim as they crisscross the planet and show absolutely zero signs of slowing down.

‘Ocarina’ is released on Beatport on Monday 23th September, just days before TomorrowWorld opens its doors for the very first time. The brothers are expected to deliver a show-stopping performance in Atlanta, along with 300 other world class acts flying in to the hills of Chatthoochee across September 27th, 28th and 29th. The sister event of the now legendary Tomorrowland in Belgium, expectations for the US chapter are at fever pitch – with no doubt that such expectations will not just be met, but, be entirely superseded as with everything ID&T do.
