NEW COMPILATION
The legendary electronic music institution Technoclub officially returns with its highly anticipated seventy-eighth volume, delivering an essential double-album masterpiece that bridges the golden era of trance with modern festival production.

This landmark edition brings together two true icons of the international electronic music scene to curate a perfectly balanced listening experience. On the first disc, series mastermind Talla 2XLC unleashes his signature brand of high-octane energy, driving peak-time beats, and euphoric mainstage anthems. In a brilliant contrast, the second disc sees ambient and Balearic pioneer Torsten Stenzel, globally recognized under his YORK alias, take control of the decks. Together, they guide listeners on a captivating sonic journey that spans from blistering club bangers to deep, atmospheric, and exotic soundscapes. To cater to both dedicated audiophiles and casual listeners, the compilation is being launched in both a Standard 2CD Edition and a Limited Edition package that includes a pair of premium, high-quality earplugs designed for safe hearing protection at clubs and festivals..

Talla 2XLC sets a blistering pace right from the start of the first disc, launching into the mix with the massive collaborative energy of "The Marillion" alongside Tandu and Mind-X. The momentum builds rapidly through the sun-soaked melodies of "Turtle Beach" by DJ Cosmic Dream and the soaring vocal performance of Johan Gielen presents Airscape and Katie Sky on "All Of Me For All Of You". Talla masterfully balances emotional vocal moments like Alex M.O.R.P.H. and Christina Novelli’s "Utopia" with heavy, driving club rhythms such as Richard Durand's "Muratie" and Sneijder's relentless "They Won't Keep Us Down". Nostalgia hits an all-time high with a massive modern update of the rave classic "Spring" alongside RMB, leading perfectly into Talla's own soaring vocal single "One" featuring Clara Yates. The energy reaches a fever pitch near the finale with the thunderous "Northern Lights" by Allen Watts and Krevix, before gracefully winding down into the haunting, beautiful chords of "Ghosts," a track co-produced by Talla 2XLC and York that serves as the perfect bridge between the two discs.

Taking over the second disc, Torsten Stenzel immediately establishes a deeply cinematic atmosphere, opening with an elegant, custom intro before diving into the lush, organic textures of his remix for Mearzie’s "Grounded". York's mix leans heavily into emotion and melody, expertly weaving together deep vocal pieces like "I Guess You Get What's Coming" featuring Cody Crump and his own stellar remix of Nicholas Gunn's "30". The set treats long-time fans to spectacular reimaginings of timeless club anthems, highlighted by Talla 2XLC's driving remix of York's legendary track "The Awakening" and Stenzel's own retro-fueled "The Milky Way". As the mix progresses through peak moments like "Sunrise" with Richard Durand and Lea Key, and the massive trance crossover "Fusion" alongside Talla 2XLC and Hiver & Hammer, the Balearic vibes take full control. The compilation culminates in a transcendent finale, closing out with the unmistakable, guitar-driven euphoria of Ben Nicky and York’s updated rendition of the ultimate summer anthem, "On The Beach."

⌨️ Talla 2XLC and YORK - Ghosts out on That's Trance
Talla 2XLC and trance veteran YORK have once again delivered a masterclass in melodic euphoria with their new collaboration “Ghosts”, released under That’s Trance and featured on Technoclub Vol. 78 mixed by Talla 2XLC and York. Both artists are highly respected in the trance community: Talla 2XLC, a pioneer of uplifting and tech-driven trance, and YORK, known for his timeless Balearic and emotional productions. Their previous collaborations have consistently balanced cinematic melodies with club-ready energy, and Ghosts continues that tradition with refined production values and a focus on emotional storytelling.
From a technical standpoint, Ghosts sits at a driving 140 BPM, crafted to ignite peak-time sets for trance DJs. The track opens with punchy, well-layered kicks and energetic rolling basslines that immediately lock into the rhythm. Metallic percussion hits and subtle high-frequency effects build texture and movement while keeping the groove crisp. The mixdown is clean and balanced, allowing each element—whether the orchestral strings, haunting female vocals, or synth pluck sequences—to shine without overlap or clutter.
The breakdown, nearly two minutes long, is where the emotional depth takes center stage. It begins with melancholic piano chords and is joined by a male spoken-word narration asking, “Are we ghosts?”—a poetic touch that reinforces the track’s ethereal, reflective theme. Layer by layer, cinematic strings swell into an epic orchestral arrangement, achieving an anthemic tone before the synth plucks rise to build tension. When the drop returns, fans are met with a sunkissed euphoric lead melody, soaring strings, and majestic piano flourishes that create an immersive, festival-ready climax.
For DJs, Ghosts is a versatile weapon. Its extended intro and outro make it easy to mix into high-energy, uplifting sets, while the cinematic breakdowns provide perfect breathing space for crowd engagement before launching into an explosive drop. The careful layering of melodic and percussive elements ensures it works both on massive festival stages and in intimate club settings.
Ghosts isn’t just another trance release—it’s a premium-grade, emotionally resonant, and technically polished anthem, reaffirming why Talla 2XLC and YORK remain trusted names in the genre. This is a track that will captivate listeners, elevate DJ sets, and stand out in 2026’s uplifting trance landscape.

Flux BPM Online Progressive House Review Talla 2XLC x Tandu x Mind-X - The Marillion Progressive House Review Christian Burns & Banaati - Embers incl. York remix
On the cusp of ‘Waking Up In A Northern Town’ - Christian Burns’s follow-up to his critically-acclaimed 2021 ‘Love Songs From Suburbia’ LP - the UK-born/US-based singer-songwriter lays down its final single preface. In doing so, he’s chosen this juncture to square the focus squarely on Banaati - the most significant co-production element involved in ‘Northern Town’s development.       With ‘Fall To You’, ‘I Will Follow’, ‘Strangers’ and others already entered into ‘Northern Town’s ledger, ‘Embers’ may just prove the album’s ultimate single personification.       Banaati is of course Benjamin Banaati, the Swedish producer who, in a remarkably short period of time, has etched close to a dozen releases onto Monstercat’s discography. In Benjamin, Christian discovered a stylistic likemind with which to grace ‘Embers’, and then more broadly the album. Benjamin’s backing proves to be a masterclass in transcendent space, knowing as much when to elementally delay or subtract, as to add. That supplies a production that appears to wrap itself around the listener and one you’ll lean into evermore.        That’s lent further weight by Christian’s lyrics, which capture a desire - and perhaps an urgent one at that, to rekindle a fading relationship before the sands run out. Striking a poignant balance between reflectional lament and unstinting hope, his words use the elemental imagery of ‘Embers’ to anchor its high emotional stakes.      With Banaati’s studio handling the chilled end of the room, York’s rework traces more of a progressive-trance outline around the track. Through hi-hat ride, hunting horn drift, and the most judicious of snare drive, over 9+ minutes his ‘Embers’ slow-burn and refuse to die.       'Embers’ lights the last of the singles trail to ‘Waking Up In A Northern Town’. The Original Mix is released today and is available through all good streaming and sales sites, with the York Remix debuting on June 12. The album will follow June 19.        Official Video Preview

Flux BPM Online Technical Analysis In the fast-paced digital ecosystem of modern dance music, a standalone single must do more than just dominate a sub-bass grid. It needs a distinct sonic identity, immediate cross-platform catchiness, and the structural power to thrive on both peak-time club systems and fast-moving social media algorithms. Today, we put Christian Burns & Banaati - Embers incl. York remix  under the microscope to see if it delivers true artistic innovation or simply blends into the background noise.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Christian Burns & Banaati’s “Embers,” with an exceptional York remix included, is a masterclass in melodic electronic production and emotional songwriting. From the very first listen, the track’s melodic hooks and harmonics are strikingly memorable. The interplay between Christian’s poignant vocals and Banaati’s carefully layered synths creates a harmonic bed that is both lush and immediate, drawing the listener in with its evocative tonality. The sonic engineering and production quality are second to none, with a crystalline balance that highlights every subtle detail, from the soft pads to the shimmering arpeggios. Mixdown and mastering are executed with precision, ensuring that each element occupies its own space without overcrowding the stereo field while maintaining a warm and cohesive overall sound. The use of effects and spatial design adds a cinematic dimension to the track. Reverbs are deployed to create depth without washing out the mix, and delays are timed perfectly to enhance the emotional resonance of key vocal phrases. The arrangement and build dynamics are thoughtfully crafted: Banaati’s production ebbs and flows organically, offering moments of introspection before rising into euphoric swells that sustain the listener’s engagement. Creativity and artistic identity shine through in how the track marries Christian Burns’s heartfelt storytelling with Banaati’s refined melodic sensibilities, resulting in a piece that feels both personal and universally relatable. Atmosphere and immersion are core strengths of “Embers.” The track envelops the listener in its sonic world, with subtle ambient textures and carefully sculpted transitions that feel as though they naturally evolve. The emotional resonance is undeniable; the lyrics evoke the urgency of rejuvenating a fading relationship, while the music amplifies both the vulnerability and hope in Christian’s vocal delivery. His performance is intimate yet powerful, capturing a fragile balance that gives the song its lasting impact. From a DJ and club utility perspective, the track is highly versatile. The 119 BPM original mix is perfect for melodic, beach-bar, or sunset sessions, while York’s 9-minute remix provides a seamless journey through progressive trance territory with tight kicks, rolling basslines, and intricate percussion. Both mixes exhibit excellent intro and outro mixability, with clear cue points and looping potential for creative set integration. The energy flow is deliberate, allowing DJs to control set momentum effectively. Beyond the dancefloor, “Embers” excels in terms of catchiness and replay value. Its memorable vocal lines and melodic phrasing make it highly shazamable and algorithm-friendly, giving it strong potential for streaming success and cross-platform playlist versatility. The track’s structure also lends itself well to social media edits, with moments that could easily translate into TikTok or Instagram Reels highlights. Overall, “Embers” is a rare synthesis of emotional songwriting, meticulous production, and practical functionality across both streaming and live performance contexts, making it a standout release that leaves a lasting impression. #PureGold Loveit

The 2026 reconstruction of “Mental Thing”—a collaborative strike by Talla 2XLC, York, and Diver & Ace—ignites a high-velocity pulse that breathes new fire into the 1998 Planet Love Records legacy. This 142 BPM engine runs on a foundation of metallic, driving basslines and surgically precise kicks that hit with thunderous, clean impact.

The journey begins with a tactical maneuver: a sharp, abbreviated breakdown where the iconic spoken words of Janet Taylor pierce the rhythm. This serves as a psychological hook, a brief suspension of gravity that allows a DJ to seize the energy of the room before the percussive groove slams back into place. However, this is merely the precursor to the true emotional vortex of the track.

As the second act unfolds, the floor falls away into a sprawling, cinematic main breakdown. Here, the production trades raw power for ethereal haunting. Heavenly vocal pads and lush, arpeggiated synths spiral upward, replaying the original melody with blinding, sun-soaked intensity. It is a slow-motion climb toward a sonic precipice, building a localized pressure of pure euphoria.

When the tension finally snaps, the track erupts into a tidal wave of sound. Brilliant synths collide with melancholic harmonies, creating a peak-time climax that feels both nostalgic and futuristic. The mastering remains flawless, ensuring every layer of the Diver & Ace spirit stays sharp and transformative. It represents a visceral, high-definition bridge between generations of trance. It’s out now via Technoclub Retro.

[item value="10"]Talla 2XLC x YORK x Diver & Ace - Mental Thing [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] Talla 2XLC, York, and Diver & Ace’s reimagination of the 1998 classic “Mental Thing” is a masterclass of modern trance production, delivering an invigorating 142 BPM experience that perfectly bridges nostalgia with contemporary sound design. The track immediately captivates with its driving, metallic bassline, which establishes a relentless sense of rhythm and groove and sets the foundation for a powerful, club-ready energy. This solid low-end structure not only ensures impeccable momentum on large sound systems but also provides fitness and wellness classes with an ideal tempo for maintaining aerobic consistency, a point supported by research linking 120–140 BPM music to enhanced endurance and exercise performance (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). Melodic hooks and harmonic layers seamlessly intertwine, creating a lush, cinematic atmosphere. The soaring pads and ethereal arpeggios in the main breakdown immerse listeners in a euphoric soundscape, producing a psychological effect that mirrors the positive influence of melodic electronic music on mood elevation and stress reduction, as noted in Thoma et al. (2013). The intricate transitions and carefully executed build-ups lead to an exhilarating climax, where a replayed lead melody surges with renewed intensity, demonstrating both the creativity and emotional resonance of the arrangement. The production quality is pristine, with each element occupying its own space in the stereo field, enhanced by sophisticated use of effects and spatial design. The dynamic range and loudness balance are expertly managed, allowing the track to retain its punch without sacrificing clarity. This meticulous approach contributes to the track's exceptional suitability for both club and festival environments, as well as for synchronized movement-based experiences like spin or dance-based fitness classes. Studies on music and exercise synchronization suggest that well-balanced dynamics and consistent BPM can improve motor coordination and perceived exertion levels, which enhances the overall wellness benefits of such sessions (Terry et al., 2020). From a structural perspective, the track’s originality and cohesion shine. The intro and outro are thoughtfully composed for seamless mixing, offering DJs ample cue points and loop potential. The story-like progression of rhythmic layers and melodic development sustains emotional engagement, a key factor in music’s ability to elicit positive affective responses and improve mental health outcomes in listeners (Chanda & Levitin, 2013). By integrating festival-ready power with evocative harmonics, “Mental Thing” achieves a rare balance of artistic identity and accessibility, reinforcing its catchiness and replay value. Through its polished sound design, compelling narrative flow, and scientifically supported wellness benefits, this track not only redefines a trance classic for 2026 but also cements itself as a powerful tool for both emotional uplift and physical activation. #PureGold Loveit [/content]
