Highly respected DJ/Producer Gerd Janson is back with a hair-raising new re-work of Awesome 3’s seminal rave classic

‘Dont Go’ with huge support in recent weeks across BBC Radio 1 from the likes of Annie Mac, MistaJam, Dance Anthems, Pete Tong and Monki with over 20 plays and counting, along with a #1 Cool Cuts chart placing and having gained a #2 spot on the BBC R1 Dance chart.

3 of the initial members of Awesome 3 (Nick Hussey, Pete Orme and the original vocalist Julie McDermott) have joined forces once again - adding Gerd Janson's subtle magic - the original has seen countless versions and remixes since the 90’s, but Gerd's 2018 re-work increases its firepower, adds beat stomping bass lines to compliment Julie McDermott's soulful vocals creating an essential radio and dance-floor weapon.

On the B side yet another hugely respected producer under new alias Smokin Jack Hill steps on remix duties which has also seen countless Kiss FM and BBC Radio 1 Dance anthems spins over the past few weeks. This is shaping up to be a huge release!!

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]The legendary house imprint CR2 Records releases the brand new remixes of the awesome classic Don't Go with the most feel good piano chords, superb rave style synths and rave breaks sound. Gerd Janson Re-Work has energy and succeeds on reuniting the 90's with the 2018 without sounding overworked or super digitalised. It sounds classy and groovy with slow breaks style beat, heavy basslines and superb piano riff to make you smile from the outset. Julie's vocal shines with class and you know that is impossible to leave the dancefloor when this tune played. Smokin Jack Hill Remix goes the more current mainstream uplifting house direction with future bass house infusions and superb application of the super well known piano melody and vocals while in the breakdown reveals the classic rave style sounds upon breaks. The climax is euphoric and super positive so you can expect the ladies to enjoy this track for sure with their pink handbags in the air. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

Tomorrowland launches a CD in three volumes with exclusive sets by international DJs Armin Van Buuren, Axwell, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Lost Frequencies and exclusive Tomorrowland Summer Mix compilation.

Hands up anyone that has been to Tomorrowland? Those lucky enough to have visited arguably the largest festival in the world will tell you that it is an extraordinary experience. Located in the aptly named town of ‘Boom’ in Belgium, now in its 14th year, the sheer scale of the festival will overwhelm you.  Think 16 stages, 400,000 people from over 75 countries split over two glorious weekends all with a will to dance.

Tomorrowland is a step beyond the conventional big festival, going all out on design, creating another world for the time that you are with them. The main stage itself is extraordinary, gigantic in size and scale with pyrotechnics, state of the art lighting and sound and packing a wow factor that would be hard to experience on this scale anywhere else.

The festival has steadily grown, due in large part to mainstream pop culture’s continued embrace of this decade’s Electronic Dance Music explosion. It eclipses some of the biggest events in the world when compared to internet social media chitter chatter. Tomorowland amasses more tweets, insta and FB posts than Glastonbury, Burningman, Cochella, and Ultra music festivals combined.  Even more than the F1, Wimbeldon, The Oscars and Tour De France put together.

This year the theme is ‘The Story of Planaxis’ – a kind of lost city of Atlantis idea, think magical submerged cities, extraordinary sea creatures and underwater mystery and the namesake of this year’s compilation.

Now some of the festivals biggest names bring you their take on the Tomorowland sound. While Armin van Buuren, Axwell, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Lost Frequencies conquer the Mainstage during the first weekend, you can also enjoy the legendary mash-ups of their best tracks at home. The four DJs all made special 30-minute sets, exclusive to the first 2 volumes of ‘The Story of Planaxis’. The third volume offers a unique Tomorrowland Mix 2018.

Either as a memento of your experience or those that just want to sample the flavour of this incredible festival, this compilation will bring you a snapshot of the biggest tracks and high-octane moments of the event.

This is a download and physical release only including a Deluxe edition with 40-page booklet, and special copper hot foil embossed packaging. The CD is available now through Cr2 Records for the UK / IE, Kontor records in Germany and worldwide on iTunes through various WW outlets and record stores or online at www.tomorrowland.com.

A 3 x CD OFFICIAL mix album and Download featuring tracks from Claude VonStroke, Dennis Ferrer, Krankbrother, The Martinez Brothers, Joris Voorn, Cerrone, Tensnake, Sandy Rivera, Erick Prydz & Steve Angello, Booka Shade and MYNC.

Space Ibiza, arguably one of the most famous clubs in the world, is about to close its doors for the last time after a 27-year reign.  From 1989 – 2016 it set standards for dance music and clubbing and established the careers of many of today’s household name DJs.

Cr2 records now commemorates this momentous club and pays homage with the official second part of 3 CD Mix and download compilation. The package contains 3 varied mixes from the industry’s key players that reflect the atmosphere and mood of its dancefloors, including the legendary main room and the famous terrace.

It all began when club visionary Pepe Rosello first launched the club in 1989 and who was to know what he was about to create. Over the years Space Ibiza became an institution, a mighty one with its influence spanning three generations of clubbers.

Remember this is the place where clubbers first famously cheered every arriving aircraft that used to roar above their heads on the famous terrace. This was to become one of Space Ibiza’s defining features.

Cr2 celebrate the venue by delivering a specially curated mix from some of the most significant DJs that have played to its dancefloors.

Giorgio Moroder
Sensationally Giorgio Moroder comes forward with big news. He is the man credited with single-handedly inventing electronic dance music, the same man who launched the career of Donna Summer, collaborated with Daft Punk and of course was a Space Ibiza regular. He brings us a window into his musical world with this compilation mix. His first ever DJ gig was at 73 years old, now at 76 he delivers his first ever compilation in his long profession.  His mix is a sublime collection of disco inspired tracks featuring releases from Joey Negro, Cerrone, Alexander Robotnik and of course Giorgio himself.

Erick Morillo delivers another timeless mix to this collection. Erick himself has been a long-standing feature in the lifetime of Space. Previous to hissuper star DJ success, Erick could be found at Space, DJing behind the bar on the legendary terrace and playing some of the best sets of his life. His mix reflects the moments that he enjoyed at the venue in a bouncy vocal house, main room style.

Listen out for the brilliant ‘Barrump’ by Claude VonStroke, longtime friend to Erick - Harry Romero drops ‘RUDE’, Dennis Ferrer gets an inclusion with his instant classic ‘Hey Hey’ (DF’s Attention Vocal Mix) and The Martinez Brothers ‘Stuff In The Trunk’ (feat. Miss Kittin).

The final and third mix comes from the owner and founder of Cr2 Records Mark Brown. Mark has been a long term supporter of what he would consider ‘One of the most important clubs in the world’. With years of experience both attending the events as a clubber then rocking the dancefloor as a headlining DJ, Mark understands the musical ethic of Space perfectly. Marks mix includes Kings of Tomorrow ‘Finally’, Booka Shade ‘Manadarin Girl’ and Eric Prydz and Steve Angello ‘Woz Not Woz’.

Space Ibiza remains one of the most awarded clubs in the world and there is still chance for you to go and experience what it is all about at the final closing.

Tom Wax & Strobe return after their massive Ibiza Club bomb „Cantata“ with their new killer tune „Thora Thora“!

Ready for the summer the two electronic music pioneers deliver this special balearic feeling with their mixture

of groovin´ percussive beats and the unique vocal line, that will burn in your brain after the first listen.

The track has already been tested on the magic island Ibiza, got massive feedback from the audience and is now ready for all the DJ´s and clubs worldwide!

Some early dj feedback:
Monika Kruse: rainer and vanglis did a nice remix!
Ninetoes: The remix of Rainer & Vangelis is the bounce!! Great summer tune and catchy as hell!!!
Tom Novy: Die Jungs haben es einfach drauf!!
David Penn: Rainer Weichhold & Vangelis Kostoxenakis Remix for me. Thanks ;)
Hollen: Both Versions are very fresh for the summer - Thx

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the hottest record at the moment is the return to the forefront German techno dj & producer Tom Wax with Strobe for the deep house meets latin house essential banger Thora Thora. The original mix is deep, smooth, groovy and sexy with tribal grooves, deep haunting basslines, hypnotic atmosphere, balearic melodies and the so cool vocal that is impossible to forget it once you hear it. It's one of those records that take you on a ride and guide you through the wonderland of house music. Rainer Weichhold & Vangelis Kostoxenakis from Kling Klong records deliver the goods and presents their own shorter solid highly condensed deeper tech house alternative with great deep basslines, fantastc percussion, melodramatic piano chords, hypnotic xylophone melodies and additional latin melodies in the breakdown. The result is very pleasurable track that has depth, gives you easily goosebumps and as always eclectic touches as well. It's the type of track that will be played in the mainstream and very classy clubs as well. Its the thin line where underground meets the mainstream and both camps stay happy! Hit Guaranteed! #PureDiamond Love IT

Having first been discovered by the worlds number 1 DJ Hardwell, the young Brazilian’s rise through the dance music ranks has been nothing short of prodigious! In no time at all Repow has gone on to release a track on Spinnin as well as the mighty release “The Zuera Never Ends” at the back end of last year on Cr2.

That’s why we are very happy to welcome back Repow to the Cr2 camp with a huge infectious big room anthem in the shape on “Bamboo Rush”! This track and Repow are no doubt going to be massive so give this your full support!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Cr2 records is a truly international EDM label with offices in London, Sao Paulo, Los Angeles & Sydney. The latest release that is currently promoted in radio station is the magnificent Bamboo Rush by the upcoming and quickly rising to the top dj & producer Repow. We deal here with a superb solid thick and ultra hard progressive house banger that will make thousands of festival goers jump up and down until there is no return for it! It starts all bouncy and pumping until  to land  on the feel good melodic breakdown where the huge euphoric synthy leads are introduced to bring excitement and create havoc. The drop is heavy, thunderous, aggressive, punchy and absolutely earthshaking with Animals style percussive melody combined with cool synths. The main breakdown is longer with cool use of vocal samples, heavy claps and massive colourful euphoric synths. The last drop comes in and you know that the deal is right and exact! It sounds super good for me so play and feel the Bamboo Rush! Love it

1-Save The Rave
2-Rock Nation

There is one simple way to categorize both songs: pure electro house. “Rock Nation” has a more progressive melody, but “Save The Rave” makes up for that with its sheer energy.

Each features a hardcore saw drop, and even if they’re similar, they each pack a punch in their own individual way. Both are formidable tunes, and should find a place in DJ sets everywhere.

* SUPPORT FROM DAVID GUETTA *

Dimitri Kechagias review: The internationally loved and respected house imprint cr2 records presents the fresh Avesta EP including Save The Rave & Rock Nation. Save The Rave is powerful energetic to the maximum epic progressive house bomb with fat kicks, rough edgy basslines and strange distorted like siren sound at the top. The breakdown is full on euphoric with colourful hands in the air synths followed by rough and  edgy drop that will drive insane the clubbers for sure. If you like great mixture of airy synths with maddening basslines you will be ready to fight to Save The Rave. Rock The Nation moves on the same progressive meets electro house meets dirty dutch hard house sound that will be the mainstage sound for the summer festivals. Within the breakdown the trance influenced main synthy lead appears to lead the proceedings towards the euphoric hands in the air climax followed by the harder edged drop with massive drums, aggressive basslines and cool vocal line "This Is My House". Overall both tracks are tight, solid like rock packed with the prominent macho house sound of NOW. Love iT

“The 23-year-old grandson of Pablo Picasso is keeping the artist’s legacy alive in a form palatable for Generation EDM.”
- DJ Mag

At only 23 years, this Frenchman has begun to weave a sonic dream across the globe that is awakening many to the beautiful sounds his productions unlock.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The globally known record label Cr2 records continues to impress and keep fresh and exciting the house music scene. The latest offering is the superb track Trivia produced by Florian Picasso. Definitely his name is very new to me but his music proves that is here to stay. His production is an energetic electro house smasher that pushes all the energy buttons and energise the senses straight away. Its dynamic with attitude and belief that is going to shine on the dancefloor and stand out. Tough beats, pumping energetic basslines and hi-nrg synths that stay in the background of the track just to offer the nice danceable irresistible rhythm. The main section is playful, funky with disco house tendencies. Its one of those tracks that will cause buzz in the social media and mayhem on the dancefloor particularly after the main breakdown as it moves in the final section and pushes all the right buttons with funky, dirty, sleazy, sexy sounds along with some acid overtones as well. Trivia is super nice! Love IT

It's a Nu year so lets listen to Nu music! Nu-Skool Artists is the first of many to bring you new hits from up and comers!

Vol. 1 starts strong with hits by Shytsee, Jasper Dietze & Erol Montez, Night Crime & Audiobot and Hotlife.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The legendary and highly influential house label Cr2 records presents its latest magnificent EP that brings under the same safe roof 4 new talents that will certainly win your admiration. First of all is Shytsee with the banging Tornado. Full on electro meets progressive house smasher with with heavy kick drums, punchy in your face basslines and cool melodic themes on top as well. Euphoric breakdown will excite the crowd while the main part is playful and dirty too. Night Crime & Audiobot unite their forces for the ultimate mainstage party anthem. Hard and furius electro house with cool breakdown with retro French House style melodies until to let the drop come that is very hard, harsh, macho and in your face, Yes we are ready! Jasper Dietze & Erol Montez  deliver an unstopable club stormer with heavy rough and furius electro twisted beats and  thunderstorming basslines while the breakdown is so melodic, calming with nice piano followed by huge euphoric synths. The drop though goes the dynamic, anarchic, fast and furius direction dirty dutch style. Last but not least the upcoming Hotlife give us another proof of their huge talent with the very strong Blender. Electro house at its most epic and ultra rough and bouncy at the very same time. The breakdown is really inspiring with melody that remind u an 80's hit. The drop is maddening, booming, body shaking, in short insane! Support new talents, Love iT

Dimitri Kechagias review: The finest indepedent record label in Germany Kontor records presents the massive anthem Bobcat by the beloved Inpetto & Patrick La Funk  that was first released on the UK's finest house label CR2 records. Fantastic full on big room festival house smasher with heavy drum beats, rough kicks and bouncy aggressive basslines. Bobcat is exceptionally executed in order to bring mayhem on any festival and it manages to do it in the finest and most impressive way. The breakdown will raise the hair from your back with that acid funk style synthy and the heavy doses of dubstep and electro. It sounds like a powerslammer unstoppable cracker with drop that stands out with its percussion riff and earth shattering jumping beats. Its an anthem without doubts. Love IT
