Dutch electronic music icon Hardwell has officially announced his return to the United States this September with a three-city tour, driven entirely by fan demand. Thousands of fans across the country voted for where they wanted him to perform, and the response was nothing short of overwhelming. As a result, Hardwell will bring his most intimate US shows in over two years to Washington, D.C., New York City, and Los Angeles. In return, he’s set to deliver a high-impact live experience, promising an unforgettable night built on connection, energy, and a shared love for the music.
The tour will see the Revealed label boss take over three of the country’s most iconic fan-favorite venues: Echostage in Washington, Terminal 5 in NYC, and Grand Park in downtown Los Angeles. Each show promises a euphoric and high-energy showcase of Hardwell’s current evolution as an electronic artist.
Renowned for redefining the boundaries of electronic music, Hardwell’s upcoming US dates will feature unreleased material, custom stage design, and an immersive visual experience tailored to each venue. Fans can expect a high-energy fusion of his signature mainstage techno sound, reworked classics from his back catalog, and brand-new IDs hot off the summer festival circuit.
Speaking about the tour, Hardwell said: “I’ve been waiting for the right moment to return with something special for my US fans. I wanted to create a run of shows that feel personal, powerful, and unforgettable. So, I threw it out to you guys to vote for your favorite destinations, and the response was honestly crazy. Whether your city made the final cut or not, I truly appreciate everyone who took the time to vote and be part of this. So now, let’s do this.”
Hardwell’s influence on the global dance scene is undisputed. From his rise to 2 x World Number 1 DJ, producer, and label boss to his bold shift toward Big Room Techno, he has helped shape the modern sound of electronic music. Landmark releases like his REBELS NEVER DIE album, and standout singles including ‘Follow The Light’, ‘No Sleep’, ‘ACID’, and ‘Sanctuary’ have further solidified his reputation as a visionary in the genre.
A fixture on main stages at Ultra Music Festival, Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, and Tomorrowland, Hardwell has also sold out some of the world’s most legendary venues, including Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome, London’s Brixton Academy, and New York’s Madison Square Garden. But for Hardwell, every performance is more than a set; he approaches each show as a storyteller, using music to connect, inspire, and uplift. An ethos he brings to his US tour this September!

Best of 2024 by Kenn Colt
1-Best of tracks from other artists in 2024.
a) Identify the most exceptional tracks from other artists released in 2024. Explain your selection, highlighting production techniques and audience reactions.
Kenn Colt: Without doubt that would be Adam Port - Move from keinemusik. They are dominating the whole electronic dance scene at the moment with their strong afrohouse productions. It's not a peak track, but it's been such a big hit that you can basically play it on every moment at the clubs. The audience knows the lyrics, it's an easy to remember song with an overal good vibe.
Mau P - Merther, is a remake of the "Welcome to Jamrock" from Damian Marley, Mau P used the vocal and gave it an powerful remix with pumping bassline on the drop.
My most played song would be "It's not Right (but it's ok)" from the dutchies Mr Belt & Weezol. this remake works every time.
1-Best self-produced/personal tracks of 2024
b)Explain your choices for the best 2024 personal productions. Were they due to challenges, crowd reactions, or success on download shops/streaming services?
Kenn Colt: My best production for 2024 will be Mueve Ese Booty, based on the reactions of the crowd and as well did the best on the streaming platforms. Everywhere i played this song the crowd start moving, in Latin America they understood the lyrics and especially the girls went crazy on this one.
2) Best Artist of 2024 (DJ & Producer)
Analyze why you consider the selected artist the best in their genre. Explain the factors that influenced your decision and highlight their most appreciated aspects.
Kenn Colt: Adam Port and keinemusik, without doubt dominating the afrohouse scene this year. Nearly all the songs they did reached high notes and the keinemusik parties were sold out worldwide.
3-a) Best Remixes of 2024
Provide a detailed explanation of your remix selection, including your reasons. Consider factors like production proficiency, technical aspects, creativity, and imagination.
Kenn Colt: Swedish house mafia - Finally (Eran Hersh & Shooma Remix) - I know Eran for many years when he did a remix for my song Sun Goes Down and now he did an official release of "Finally" from the Swedish house mafia, such a beauty.
3-b) Your best self-produced remix of 2024
Explain why you believe your 2024 remix is your best work. Include any technical challenges or unique difficulties you faced during production.
Kenn Colt: This year I focussed more on own releases or remakes, but if you count the remakes as well as a remix than it would be "Chan Chan", it's a remake of the "buena vista social club" classic and was released on my own label Feels Like Home Records.
3-c) Best Remixer(s) of 2024:
Provide a concise commentary on the best remixers of 2024, supporting your assessment with specific reasons highlighting their exceptional talent and expertise.
Kenn Colt: Best remixer this year would maybe be Fisher, he did somebody (from gotye), Waiting for Tonight from Jennifer lopez and "Jamming" from Bob marley. all these remixes work so well on club but even on festivals so for my point of view that deserves this point.
4) Best New Talent of 2024 (DJ or Producer):
Explain your award selection in detail. Do you personally know or collaborate with the artist?
Kenn Colt: The Belgians Samm & Ajna - they have been making waves for a while now but 2024 was definitely their year. both production wise, remixes and their own party concept and label magnifik.
5-a) Best Electronic Dance Music Album of 2024:
Provide a detailed explanation of the criteria used to select the best electronic dance music album of 2024. Also, highlight the standout tracks that showcase its exceptional quality.
Kenn Colt: Well this is a surprising question because for tech house or dance in general I don't see much albums passing by (if none so far i know). Only big pop stars did some albums this year.
5-b) Best Electronic Dance Music Compilation of 2024. Please elaborate on the criteria used to select this compilation. Are the mixing processes of the tracks high quality and proficient? Is the track listing imaginative and creative?
Kenn Colt: Same as previous question
5-c: Best artwork of 2024: singles or albums.
Kenn Colt: PAWSA - PICK UP THE PHONE (feat. Nate Dogg) - shoots me right back to my youth when i got my first phone (which was a Nokia 3310)
6) Best Electronic Dance Music Label of 2024
Explain your choice. What appeals to you about this label? Is it the high-quality tracks, the impressive roster of notable artists, or something else?
Kenn Colt:I would say because of the immense success of their tracks, keinemusik probably won this year.
7)Best music composition software and hardware of 2024. Explain your selection.
Kenn Colt: For me Studio One. i have been producing with Logic Pro for years, but i felt like it's more a big boat which moves slowly. Studio One has best of both worlds, it looks a bit like Ableton (fast way of producing) but has the look and feel of Logic. I hardly switch back to Logic, unless there is a project i want to check or reuse which i've made in the past :-)
8-a) Your Best Personal DJ Gig of 2024:
Kenn Colt: Alchemist, Kenya August 31, 2024, It was my first time performing in Kenya, and I didn’t expect the crowd to welcome me with such incredible energy and love. The vibe was electric, and it’s a moment I’ll never forget. It was a great introduction for Afro House music as well!
8-b) Best DJ set from another DJ (real or online) of 2024. Explain why you think it’s the strongest. Highlight exceptional mixing, track selection, and overall mix development.
Kenn Colt: That's such an hard question. i've seen so many this year, maybe Anyma this year at Tomorrowland mainstage. that was a very powerful experience, especially to see him after all the afterlife shows also perform like that on the mainstage. big up!
9)Share your most valuable technical advice and production techniques from 2024, specifically related to DJing or music production.
Kenn Colt: I had the chance to be in the studio with fellow producers and learned small new techniques, but the best one would be the "Studio One" DAW tip that I got from my friends.
10-Share the most valuable advice you received in the personal or music business that significantly contributed to your career advancement in 2024. This guidance can help others grow professionally.
Kenn Colt: I was making all kinds of music in the beginning of 2024, but the best advise is to narrow down your style so people in the music business, but also your fans know what to expect. And be unique in your sound and productions!
11-Could you share your plans for 2025, including future releases, tracks, albums, collaborations, and DJ gigs? We’d love the details.
Kenn Colt: I’m excited to share that I’ve got a new track dropping in March 2025 on the African label My Other Side Of The Moon! It’s afrohouse track that I've premiered back in august and the label boss came to me and wanted to sign the track right away, so I hope everyone will enjoy, so stay tuned. Aside from that, I have a few more in the works, if you’ve been following my socials, you might have caught a few previews already. 😉 For shows, i'm planning to do a new tour in latin america and especially Paraguay, Ecuador and Mexico! I’m definitely revisiting my favorites from this year as well as Africa and China will be back on the menu.
Big news: I’m relaunching my record label "FEELS LIKE HOME Records" from beginning of 2025! If you’re an aspiring artist looking to collaborate or release music, don’t hesitate to reach out. There’s a lot more to come, and I can’t wait to see where 2025 takes us. Let’s make it another year to remember! 🎶🔥
12-Please send your message and wishes for 2025 to our esteemed readers.

With billions of streams to his name with his feel-good, successful releases, Martin Jensen has remained at the forefront of the electronic music scene. From smash hits including ‘Solo Dance’ and ‘At Least I Had Fun’, over to collaborations with names including Alok, Jason Derulo, Cheat Codes and a prestigious role as one of X Factor Denmark’s landmark judges, he now links up with Jay Sean on ‘Days Like This’!
Jay Sean is one of the most significant names in British music that has continued to push boundaries since the early noughties. As the first Asian artist in history to have Billboard #1 in America, he was also the first Asian-British artist to have two simultaneous top 10 Billboard singles. With colossal anthems including ‘Down’ featuring juggernaut Lil Wayne and further collaborations with names including Hardwell and Sean Paul, Jay Sean’s stylistic and chameleon-like ability to adapt across genres stands testament to the effective pop-dance hybrid here on ‘Days Like This’!
With a simmering house beat - co-produced alongside Sean Cook, who has also collaborated with names including Imanbek - is enforced with synths that fly high and a bold yet effervescent melody. As “No one can f*ck with me on days like this” soars across the defining message of the chorus, it mutates into bold dancefloor territory. With a key-heavy presence across the cheerful and confident verses, Jay Sean’s self-assured delivery is rich with a pop dominance that Martin Jensen’s signature production style, both lively and exciting, provides the perfect foundation for lift-off.
Speaking on the collaboration, Martin Jensen said: “Jay Sean has inspired so much of the music industry and is still continuing to do so to this day. It's an honor getting to work with him on 'Days Like This' and I cannot wait to see if all his and my listeners will love it just as much as we do!”
One to kick off 2023 with a bang and brighten up those winter months, ‘Days Like This’ from Martin Jensen and Jay Sean is released on January 13th only via Discowax!
From ABBA to Celine Dion, the Eurovision Song Contest is an annual event steeped in history, celebrating the most diverse and exciting names from across the continent. You’ve heard the ubiquitously iconic ‘Sandstorm’, amongst others in an almost 20 year long career and now for 2019, Finland will be represented by Darude for this year’s competition.
Darude is one of the most successful Finnish artists of the modern era with true global appeal. In a career that has seen him win prestigious awards that include 3 x Finnish Grammy Awards to having one of the world's biggest selling 12 inch singles in 2000, Darude has continually flown the ‘Siniristilippu’ (‘Blue Cross Flag’) of Finland wherever he has travelled. An act that his home country has always respected him for and is in part the reason behind why he was invited to usher in the 2016 New Year Eve celebrations by DJing at a largescale public event in the country’s capital of Helsinki in front more than 100,000 people as part of the celebrations of 100 years of Finnish independence.
”This is a huge challenge for me in many ways, when I was asked to represent Finland I felt a bit scared at first, but there was no way I could say no to my country! It is an honour to be part of this incredible experience and I only have positive expectations!”, Darude says. Promising to create the atmosphere and visuality of his DJ gigs on the Eurovision stage, Darude will perform his tracks with featured vocalist Sebastian Rejman, known from the band The Giant Leap, sure to bring a fresh vitality and admirable live element to Darude’s musical backdrop.
Since his arrival on the world stage back in 1999, his iconic musical workings having been utilised by globally-recognised events including Euro 2000, Wimbledon, The Olympics, NFL, NBA and the UFC, on top of making appearances everywhere from Hollywood movies to advertising videos for Nike and PlayStation, as well as video games such as DJ Hero and more recently Angry Birds. Now his music’s reach is extending to new ground with his invitation to represent his country in the 2019 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest and is expected to be one of the stand-out musical moments of the year.
“We are really excited that Darude is representing Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest. This is probably the first time that a DJ is taking over the Eurovision stage”, the producer of Yle’s Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK), Anssi Autio, also said.
Darude have released the three songs that will compete in the national selection of the UMK. The winning Darude track that finally represents Finland in the ESC 2019 will be decided by a combination of public vote and an international jury’s points via live TV broadcast on 2nd March. Get ready Finland, as Darude is going to join the elite EU rankings and make it one memorable night...
Darude: "I'm super excited to be partnering with Armada for Eurovision. I cannot think of a better label to work with to bring dance music and a slice of club culture to the Eurovision fans. This first track, ‘Release Me’, is close to my heart as it reveals some of the trials and tribulations that come with being a touring DJ and family man. Find me on my socials and let me know what you think, and I’ll be seeing you on the dance floor soon!"
Sebastian Rejman, who will perform the chosen song alongside Darude at Eurovision Song Contest 2019, adds: “It’s so great to do this thing with Darude and Armada. It’s an honor to be a part of this project and get the opportunity to rock the Eurovision stage with all of you!"

The DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll results are in. Dutch DJ/Producer Martin Garrix has retained the crown of ‘World’s No.1 DJ’ for a third consecutive year, since becoming the youngest ever to be voted the World’s No.1 DJ back in 2016.
In aid of UNICEF, the 2018 edition of Top 100 DJs marks the 25th anniversary of the globally celebrated poll. This year saw record numbers of voters with in excess of 1.2 million verified votes received, an increase of nearly 200,000 on 2017 being submitted during the 3 month campaign period — making it the biggest publicly-voted music poll in the world.
Martin Garrix received the award at the official DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Awards ceremony during Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). The show took place at the Johan Cruijff Arena in front of a sold-out capacity crowd of 35,000 fans as part of the Amsterdam Music Festival (AMF), an initiative of ALDA Events and ID&T.
Few can argue about the irrefutable global reach of one of dance music’s most revered stars. The meteoric rise of the Dutch superstar Martin Garrix’s career has been nothing short of breathtaking, with the past 12 months being perhaps his finest year yet. Whether it’s with hit singles that include ‘So Far Away’ with David Guetta and ‘Ocean’ featuring Khalid, to his globetrotting touring diary that puts him at the top of the bill for the biggest festivals and events on the planet from Tomorrowland to Creamfields, to appearing at the Winter Olympic Games in South Korea or supporting popstar Justin Bieber on tour, the young Dutch native is rarely out of the public eye. This win means Martin Garrix becomes only the third DJ to have recorded three Top 100 DJs wins, aligning him with previous winners and fellow Dutch DJs Tiësto (3x) and Armin van Buuren (5x).
Other high entries in the 2018 Top100 DJs Poll includeTomorrowland residents and Belgian brothers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike who are a non-mover at #2 and again scooped the award for ‘Highest Group’. Trance don Armin van Buuren slipped one place, behind Hardwell [#3], to #4 but claims once more the category for ‘Highest Trance’artist. David Guetta [#5], Tiësto [#6], Don Diablo (‘Highest Future House’) [#7], Afrojack [#8], Oliver Heldens [#9] and Marshmello [#10] make up the remaining positions of the Top 10.
Australian sisters NERVO, are up 15 places to #27 this year, making them the highest ranked female DJs in the ranking. Next to them is hardstyle pioneer Headhunterz, who claimed the ‘Highest Hard’ award by landing at #28. This year’s ‘Highest Climber, powered by Beat Fever’ accolade goes to the Israeli psytrance duo Vini Vici [#34] who have made an undeniable mark on the festival circuit this past year.
Martin Garrix is the number 1 DJ for 3rd year
A former No.1 DJ himself and still the reigning lord of the underground, Carl Cox is up 9 places at #53 and wins the ‘Highest Techno’ award this year. Melodic masked marauderClaptone was a new entry in the 2017 poll but is up 12 places this year landing at #57 and once again winning the ‘Highest House’ award. The reunion of EDM’s best-loved collective certainly didn’t go unnoticed by voters as the Swedish House Mafia claimed #63, earning the ‘Highest Re-entry’ award. Individually the Swedes also ranked at #58 (Steve Angello) and #41 (Axwell Λ Ingrosso).
With new entries from Breathe Carolina [#77], Adam Beyer [#79], Marco Carola [#86], Cedric Gervais [#87], to female artists being represented by artists such as MATTN #72 who won ‘Highest New Entry’, Nina Kravis [#97] and Alison Wonderland [#96], this year’s poll once again represents a varied selection of popular electronic music genres from house and big room EDM to techno and trance, as well as psy-trance to progressive house and drum & bass and hardstyle, with the inclusion of artists from countries as far and wide as Australia, Guatemala, Brazil, China plus many more.
The territory that yielded the highest number of votes was again the USA, with the UK, Brazil and Mexico ranking next, closely followed by the central European countries of Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Spain. Following the widening of the voting process using a 2FA SMS login option for markets without Facebook, there was a 28% increase in votes from China. This has undoubtedly helped the top two Chinese DJs — Carta [#73] and DJ L [#84] — climb 19 and 14 places respectively, while other areas in Asia— including Japan, Vietnam and Thailand — all saw similar increases.
Receiving votes from 179 countries, the Top100DJs is a definitive annual guide to the world's most popular DJs and a living symbol of the strength and diversity of the global electronic music scene. In ongoing efforts to build on the diversity of the poll, DJ Mag has partnered with Beatport who co-presented a Beatport Breakthrough Award, which was won by Brazillian DJ, ANNA. In the following weeks, DJ Mag & Beatport will announce the Alternative Top 100 DJs results, to highlight DJs from genres traditionally on the periphery of the global poll.
Top100DJs has always had charity beneficiaries, however, 2017 was a major escalation that saw UNICEF elevated to headline status. The partnership raised a total of £30,000, including a personal donation of £10,000 by DJ Mag. The fundraising for the 2018 campaign is on track to beat the previous total, with the full amount to be announced next month.
UNICEF works in more than 190 countries and ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. Through the power and unity of music, the money raised through the Top100DJs Poll will support UNICEF to vaccinate children to protect them from deadly disease, provide life-saving food for malnourished children, train teachers and provide education, protect vulnerable children from violence and abuse and deliver humanitarian aid for children in danger from war and disaster around the world.
