With releases on Life and Death and Black Butter Records, as well as being remixed by Âme, Kidnap Kid and Joris Voorn, Sailor & I has emerged as one of the most promising new artists in recent years; not only as an artist in his own right but also as a much sought after collaborator. Sailor & I has worked with the likes of Tale of Us, Adriatique, Nic Fanciulli, X-Press 2 and many others… with much of the collaborative output yet to see the light of day in the coming months.

This guy is a phenomena. Not only with "Skydive", which was by he way, the title song of the MTV New Years Bash campaign some weeks ago. When it comes to mad-going EDM-tunes Chuckie is your man. Not without reason DJ MAG readers and fans selected him on the first half of Top 100 best DJs in the world. 

He is probably the most hard working DJ and producer of this moment. Residencies in Las Vegas, New York & Miami, gigs on David Guetta's "Fuck Me I'm Famous" party or festivals like Tomorrowland or Ultra Music. Chuckie's homeplace is where parties takes place.

But in between he takes his time for producing some "Dirty Funkin' Beats", a massive floor-burner that you definitely should put in you folder or playlist for peak-time tracks. Jebu) now teamed up with Walden & Jebu on a new collaboration called home "Home" illustrating the perfect amount of fluctuating intensity to make a track an instant hit. The commencing build-up matched with fast paced drum patterns sets the tone, but things slow down with the arrival of emotionally stirring vocal harmonies. The beat gains momentum into a catchy, synth-burst melody that starts in the build and continues even after the hard-hitting drop. 

Stefan Dabruck (We Play Rec.) comes up with the remix, and the prog build-up is well worth the wait. The added effects render Penelope Austin’s voice even more hauntingly beautiful than the original, paired with a bubbling synth chord progression that pans around the speakers. The drop adds a tech house feel with its single pitch synth stabs.




Dimitri Kechagias review: The awesome record label Neon from Australia has in its hands one of the biggest progressive house anthems for 2013. Ivan Gough, Walden & Jebu collaborate for the euphoric prog house banger Home with the lovely inspirational emotional indie rock style vocals by Penelope Austin. The original mix packs energy, dynamism, drive and melodic goodness in one. Its straight forward epic prog house with tribal techy beats, bouncy punchy basslines and synths to die for. Its the kind of track that smashes the house with its intensity and shines with Penelope ace voice. The beloved super tall dj, producer, label owner Stefan Dabruck offers his remix abilities and he does a massive rework that doesnt follow existing rules but rather deviates nicely from them in order to bring a hybrid of epic prog house with tribal and hardstyle basslines. Its full on, epic, dynamic and you can easily guess that the crowd can only go higher and ballistic. Of course the mesmerizing vocals from Penelope keep us all grounded to sing a long with her.
