[item value="10"]Talla 2XLC x Absolom x IVD - Secret [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] Talla 2XLC, Absolom, and IVD converge to reimagine the trance classic “Secret” into a 2025 powerhouse, delivering a 140 BPM adrenaline surge that is as technically compelling as it is emotionally resonant. The track launches with a precise low-end foundation: psy-trance–influenced kicks that hit with both punch and weight, perfectly aligned with a sub-layered bassline designed to slice through the mix with surgical clarity. From the outset, the rhythm, groove, and drive are meticulously engineered, with percussive elements subtly introduced to build anticipation. Shakers and hi-hats are placed in the stereo field to give a sense of width, while mid-range rolling toms and snare fills propel the energy forward. As the build begins, melodic hooks and harmonic layers unfold in carefully orchestrated stages. The lead synth carries the nostalgic motif of the original “Secret,” slightly detuned for warmth, and is supported by lush pad stacks and airy arpeggios that establish an immersive harmonic bed. The use of sidechain compression keeps the pads breathing with the kick, ensuring that the energy flow and momentum remain consistent throughout. Transitions are executed with precision: risers and filtered sweeps carry the track into drops that explode with euphoric intensity. Talla 2XLC’s signature touch is evident here, maintaining a modern trance aesthetic with impactful but controlled dynamic range, allowing the drop to hit hard without fatiguing the ear. Sound design and production quality are exceptional, balancing digital precision with an analog-like warmth. Layered effects—delays, reverbs, and cascading modulation—enhance the spatial design, giving each element its own pocket in the stereo spectrum. The vocals, ethereal and lightly processed, are woven into the mix as textural highlights rather than overpowering leads, enhancing the emotional resonance without distracting from the instrumental storytelling. The arrangement reflects both originality and respect for the source material: every build-up and breakdown serves the cohesive narrative, with club and festival settings in mind. Creativity and artistic identity shine in the way the track transitions between tension and release. The drops are tailored for maximum crowd reaction potential with crystal-clear cue points and loop-friendly sections designed for seamless DJ integration. The intro and outro are structured with enough atmospheric layers and kick-bass clarity to make syncing effortless, while the consistent BPM and dynamic energy ensure smooth set flow. Loudness and dynamic range are balanced with care, delivering a track that is both club-ready and emotionally engaging for repeat listening. With its combination of tight production, immersive soundscape, and reverent modernization, “Secret” emerges as a track poised to ignite dance floors and captivate audiences, standing as a testament to Talla 2XLC’s mastery and the enduring legacy of Absolom and IVD. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

Mark Versluis, the illustrious Dutch maestro, embarks on a new sonic journey with "Wherever You Go There You Are," a euphoric vocal trance masterpiece under ZYX Trance, curated by Talla 2XLC. Versluis crafts a 140 BPM track that resonates with technical brilliance and heartfelt emotion.

The foundation is built on commanding basslines and deep, resonant kicks, creating relentless momentum. Crisp percussion adds dynamic texture, while cool, shimmering synths glide effortlessly, crafting a celestial ambiance. The serene breakdown introduces delicate piano chords and airy pads, evoking weightlessness, leading to a crescendo underscored by a meticulously timed drum roll.

However, it's the female vocal that defines the track. Her youthful, dreamy voice carries emotional resonance, both intimate and expansive. More than just a topline, it’s a soul-stirring performance that commands attention. Her vocals, clear and warm, shine against lush instrumentation, connecting deeply with listeners.

After a brief, poignant pause, her whispered lines linger like a delicate secret before the beat surges back with renewed vigor. The euphoric climax showcases colorful synths, but her voice remains the luminous heart, weaving through the sonic tapestry with effortless grace.

"Wherever You Go There You Are” is an auditory journey, meticulously crafted to evoke emotion, inspire movement, and linger in the heart long after the final note fades—thanks to the unforgettable female vocal that stands out as the soul of the track.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Mark Versluis’s “Wherever You Go There You Are” is more than just a euphoric vocal trance anthem; it’s a thrilling display of cutting-edge modern trance production! This track is an essential powerhouse for any vocal trance DJ’s collection. Dropped under ZYX Trance and curated by Talla 2XLC, its 140 BPM is perfectly tuned to ignite peak-time energy on the dancefloor! From a production standpoint, the track opens with a tightly engineered kick and bass foundation, featuring a clean low-end that’s meticulously sidechained to allow the soaring female vocal to take center stage without sacrificing groove. The bassline evolves through subtle filtering and layering, creating momentum and avoiding any static feel. Versluis’s attention to stereo imaging is evident, with crisp hi-hats and percussive elements panned for maximum width, giving the mix a professional, club-ready spatial presence. The vocal performance is treated with high-level production techniques: light reverb and delay chains create a halo around the voice, while parallel compression ensures it stays powerful in the mix without overwhelming the instrumentation. During the breakdown, delicate piano chords and airy pads are carefully EQ’d to leave space for the vocal to shine, while background risers and filtered effects build anticipation. The use of automation in the breakdown and lead-up to the drop ensures a cinematic rise, culminating in a euphoric peak driven by a perfectly timed drum roll and uplifting synths. The melodic arrangement is thoughtfully structured for DJs, featuring clean 16-bar phrases and energy shifts that make live mixing seamless. The production values—clean low-end, vivid midrange, and sparkling highs—translate beautifully on both large PA systems and studio monitors. This balance of emotional resonance and high-level technical execution ensures that Wherever You Go There You Are can dominate peak-hour sets, satisfying both dancefloor energy and the emotional expectations of vocal trance fans. For DJs, this track is a must-have: its dynamic arrangement, high production standards, and inspiring vocal make it a reliable highlight in any set, capable of lifting the crowd into euphoric territory. #PureGold Love IT

It’s quite evident that Talla has switched his focus on his productions and his 4 labels within German record company, ZYX Music. This can be made apparent if you take a look at Talla’s presence on Beatport. After the initial release of the original version on That’s Trance, the epic uplifting trancer Ragnaroek by Talla 2XLC gets the Zyrus 7 makeover for its release on Dreamscape. Zyrus 7, the psy trance alter ego of Talla 2XLC, is well-known and trusted for super powerful tracks and the remix on Ragnaroek is not an exception. The quality values are high so you can expect very well sound design and tight arrangement that keeps you dancing from start to finish. It employes the well known psy-tech bassline by Zyrus 7 that is sharp and thunderous ready for takeoff. The epic cinematic Vikings inspired melodies are present but they remain in the background leaving the splashing bassline to drive the track forward until we land on the long and teasing breakdown where the narrator describes the events of Rangaroek and underneath cinematic themes and orchestral strings to keep the tension bubbling. Soon the beat and bassline strikes back for the rough climax that starts all moody and dark but soon the melodies are added to uplift the spirits just enough to reach the final small break and continue on the same underground psy tech direction. Underground psy trance at its best provided by Zyrus 7 aka Talla 2XLC on the ultimate anthem Ragnaroek out now on Dreamscape.
