Bold prediction perhaps, but we’ll say it anyway: ‘Haunt Me’s a one-and-done — the kind of record that locks you in on first listen and plays on loop in the mind, long after the speakers have gone quiet.

In that instant catch, there’s a certain irony too, as, for the first time in his career, Solarstone delivers back-to-back single releases featuring the same vocalist. After December’s ‘star’ (drawn from his 2025 ‘innermost’ sessions), it’s clear, with Susie Ledge, that he knew he was onto something special.

She picks the mic back up for ‘Haunt Me’ — and true to its title … she absolutely will.

Ledge’s song explores the lingering imprint of love on memory, where physical distance is eclipsed by a closeness felt only in the mind. Through echoic metaphor, her words capture the intensity of absence —a lingering meditation on connections that endure beyond separation.

Setting her contemplations to melody, Solarstone answers it with a production that’s compelling but disciplined. The energy’s all there: striking, striving percussion and purposeful bass — yet his riffs are measured, never overreaching, and allow Susie’s voice to lead his synths. It walks the line between understatement and ascendance, keeping the energy high while the feels stay front and centre.

A track built not on spectacle, but on substance, with ‘Haunt Me’, Rich and Susie prove that subtlety can still move dancefloor mountains. You can Buy/Stream HERE

[item value="10"]Solarstone & Susie Ledge - Haunt Me [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Solarstone & Susie Ledge’s “Haunt Me” emerges as a masterclass in modern euphoric vocal trance, blending technical precision with emotional resonance. From the very first beat, the rhythm and groove establish a pulsating drive at 136 BPM, designed to engage listeners both on the dancefloor and in personal listening environments. The track’s groove foundation, reinforced by clean kick-bass alignment, provides a perfect vehicle for movement, making it conducive for fitness and wellness classes where rhythmic consistency enhances physiological synchronization, as supported by studies on music tempo and exercise performance (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). The layering of melodic hooks and harmonic structures demonstrates meticulous attention to harmonic balance, with Solarstone’s synth lines weaving around Susie Ledge’s vocal timbre in a way that builds immersion without overwhelming the central melody. Transitions, drops, and build-ups are handled with an elegance that reflects Solarstone’s years of production expertise. Subtle risers, carefully modulated filter sweeps, and restrained use of reverse reverbs create a natural flow between phrases, ensuring that the track maintains a seamless energy curve. This dynamic energy flow is crucial for both club and wellness environments, as research by Thaut et al. (2015) highlights how consistent musical momentum can positively influence mental focus and reduce perceived exertion during physical activity. The production quality is pristine, with remarkable attention to sound design and spatial imaging. Delicate delays on the vocal, balanced reverb tails, and stereo-panned arpeggios contribute to an immersive soundstage that enhances the track’s meditative qualities. Originality in arrangement is evident through the track’s subtle interplay between minimalistic breakdowns and euphoric peaks. Each section supports the overarching narrative of emotional longing, and the effects and spatial design create a sensation of depth and lingering presence, supporting the lyrical theme of haunting memories. Dynamic range and loudness balance are expertly managed; the track avoids the pitfalls of over-compression, allowing emotional swells to breathe fully while maintaining club-ready loudness. This balance reinforces the atmosphere and immersion, encouraging a deep psychological response, which aligns with research showing that immersive auditory experiences can lower stress levels and boost mood (Garcia-Gil et al., 2021). The emotional resonance of “Haunt Me” lies primarily in the synergy between Susie Ledge’s ethereal vocal performance and Solarstone’s disciplined instrumentation. Her lyrical delivery, filled with reflective imagery, connects with listeners on a neuroemotional level, activating regions of the brain associated with memory and emotional processing (Koelsch, 2014). In fitness and wellness class settings, such music has been shown to enhance endurance and foster a sense of flow state, further improving mental well-being. The track’s cohesion and storytelling are exemplary, guiding the listener through a journey that feels both intimate and expansive. Catchiness and replay value are ensured through melodic recall and consistent thematic unity, while its intro and outro structures, BPM stability, and seamless looping potential make it a DJ-friendly tool for both live and studio contexts. “Haunt Me” stands as a testament to how trance music can merge technical excellence with profound emotional impact, elevating mental health and enhancing wellness when experienced mindfully. Its crowd reaction potential is significant, yet its therapeutic and meditative qualities make it equally powerful in non-club scenarios. The combination of artistic identity, high production values, and humanistic resonance solidifies this track as a modern classic in the genre. #PureGold Loveit [/content]

An uptick in the upbeat, a lift to the lively and a swell of the spirited: with the seasons’ shift, Solarstone vibe has gotten itself locked in the ‘up’ position of late! First came last month’s floor-entrancing ‘Memoryland’ – a release that picked out the innerspace between dream-state and total recall … while also arriving with something mother-clubbing magnificent!

Now we have ‘star’ – which has Rich dipping back into his ‘innermost’ album trove.

That said though … that ‘star’ is not this ‘star’!

Originally conceived as an atmospherically laidback “Sabres Of Paradise’s ‘Smokebelch’ meets Enya” number, the track began its 4/4 metamorphosis when singer Susie Ledge began ghosting its circuitry. Now adding further club weight, Solarstone’s tapped Leon Bolier to create a Starburst rework, that boosts it that much later into late-night.

It’s half criminal and half-astonishing that, despite their similar timelines, the pair haven’t shared studio space before. They make amends here though, with a production that fair explodes with drumatic orchestral kicks, sky raking synths, and an end-of-the-night paced bass. That in turn projects Susie Ledge’s Gaelic-tinged (and irrepressibly sing-along-catchy!) song into a whole other galaxy.

Too early to say “anthem” !? Maybe, but the Solar, ‘star’ (and Starburst!) planets are very much aligning for ‘innermost’’s latest here. Find it through all good streaming and sales channels hereabouts

[item value="10"]Solarstone & Susie Ledge - star (Solarstone & Leon Bolier Starburst Mix) [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Solarstone & Susie Ledge’s “Star,” in its Starburst Mix with Leon Bolier, is a masterclass in modern uplifting trance production that pays homage to the golden era of the genre. The track operates at a driving 144 BPM, a tempo that maintains peak energy while allowing for complex melodic interactions. Its rhythmic foundation is built on a solid four-on-the-floor kick, tight percussion layers, and deep, pulsing basslines, all of which create a dynamic groove that flows effortlessly from start to finish. The transitions are executed with precision, using carefully automated filter sweeps and risers that feed into the drops, creating moments of tension and release that are critical for both club and festival play. From a production standpoint, the harmonic architecture of this track is as immersive as it is meticulous. The Starburst Mix features soaring melodic hooks layered across lush pads and arpeggios, exemplifying the art of harmonic layering. Solarstone’s signature touch is evident in the mixdown, with each sonic element occupying a precise space in the stereo field, allowing Susie Ledge’s ethereal vocal to shine without ever clashing with the instrumentation. The use of reverb and spatial effects enhances the sense of immersion, while the dynamic range is carefully managed to retain clarity and impact even at high playback volumes. The arrangement itself demonstrates a strong narrative flow, rising and falling in waves that tell a story—an essential hallmark of trance’s capacity for emotional resonance. Beyond its technical brilliance, “Star” has notable positive effects on mental health and wellness. Studies in music psychology suggest that trance music with uplifting melodies and consistent rhythmic patterns can reduce stress and promote mood elevation (Thoma et al., 2013; Schäfer et al., 2013). The track’s repetitive yet emotionally charged structure encourages a state of flow, which is beneficial both for meditative listening and for fitness activities such as running or cycling, where synchronization to tempo can enhance physical performance (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). Wellness and fitness instructors often incorporate high-energy trance into classes to promote endorphin release and improve overall participant engagement, and “Star” is an ideal candidate for such applications. In terms of live performance, the track’s carefully designed intro and outro facilitate seamless integration into DJ sets, with cue points and loop potential that make it versatile for both peak-time drops and extended transitions. Its festival suitability is unquestionable: the euphoric breakdowns and explosive drops are engineered to elicit strong crowd reactions, making it not just a listening experience but an emotional event. #PureGold Love it[/content]

Finding the one. 💫 P.O.U & Stone Van Brooken bring the essential melodic techno energy, while Susie Ledge delivers the stunning vocal: "You were the missing piece." A track built on sacrifice and devotion. Essential listening.

Dimitris Kechagias Review:
[review top="1"]
[item value="10"]P.O.U. x Stone Van Brooken x Susie Ledge - Missing Piece[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Missing Piece” is a 124 BPM deep melodic progressive track that impeccably combines elements of trance and melodic techno. The production opens with a foundation of dark metallic kicks and deep, pulsating basslines that create an immediate sense of drive and structure. P.O.U. and Stone Van Brooken deploy layered harmonic textures, evolving pads, and subtle percussive accents, which support Susie Ledge’s ethereal vocal performance. The central vocal phrase, “You were the missing piece,” resonates over the mix with a clean, spatial treatment, enhanced through the use of stereo imaging, mild plate reverb, and sidechain compression to maintain clarity against the low-end energy. The track’s transitions and build-ups are expertly crafted. Automated filter sweeps, risers, and modulated delay effects create a sense of anticipation before each drop. The climax introduces synth stabs with a slightly detuned, analog feel, layered with high-frequency harmonics to cut through the dense mix. Spatial design plays a key role; panned arpeggios and subtle background effects contribute to an immersive, dystopian atmosphere that feels both cinematic and dancefloor-ready. Dynamic range is carefully controlled, ensuring that the track remains powerful without sacrificing headroom. From a physiological and psychological perspective, “Missing Piece” aligns well with research on music’s effects on human well-being. The 124 BPM tempo sits comfortably within the range often recommended for aerobic exercise and rhythmic movement, supporting activities like spin classes, dance-based fitness, and running (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). The track’s pulsating basslines and uplifting harmonic progressions can stimulate endorphin release and promote a state of flow, which is associated with improved mood and reduced stress (Thoma et al., 2013). Melodic techno tracks like this one also encourage parasympathetic nervous system engagement post-exercise, aiding in recovery and mental relaxation. The combination of hypnotic repetition and emotive vocals can facilitate meditative states, which are beneficial in wellness classes such as yoga or guided stretching sessions (Koelsch, 2010). Listeners may experience enhanced focus, emotional catharsis, and a sense of connection through the lyrical theme of finding one’s “missing piece.” “Missing Piece” is not only a flawlessly engineered track for club and festival environments, but it is also a valuable tool for promoting mental and physical well-being. Through precise sound design, immersive atmosphere, and emotional storytelling, P.O.U., Stone Van Brooken, and Susie Ledge succeed in creating a piece that resonates technically, artistically, and therapeutically. #PureGold Love iT [/content]

[item value="10"]Driftmoon x Sue McLaren & Susie Ledge - Neon Glow [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Driftmoon’s collaboration with Sue McLaren and Susie Ledge on Neon Glow stands as a masterclass in uplifting vocal trance production. Released on Black Hole Recordings, the track operates at a driving 138 BPM, immediately evoking a sense of euphoric motion ideal for both club and festival settings. The production demonstrates meticulous attention to rhythm, groove, and drive, with percussive layers that interlock seamlessly to propel the track forward. From the very first downbeat, the kick and rolling bassline create a kinetic foundation that is powerful yet refined, allowing the melodic elements to resonate without overpowering the mix. Melodically, Neon Glow thrives on its harmonic richness and carefully constructed layers. The track’s synth leads feature soaring, consonant intervals that sit perfectly in the upper-mid frequency range, reinforced by lush pads and arpeggiated sequences. This harmonic tapestry is punctuated by ethereal vocal performances from McLaren and Ledge, whose delivery adds profound emotional resonance. Their phrases—such as “Heart vibrations shake in my soul” and “I’m dancing alone”—are not only poetically evocative but also expertly embedded into the arrangement with reverb tails and spatial effects that create a sense of three-dimensional immersion. The track’s transitions, drops, and build-ups are executed with precision. Driftmoon employs classic trance techniques such as filtered white noise sweeps, side-chained risers, and subtle automation of low-end energy to craft dynamic progressions. The first breakdown opens into a cinematic expanse, stripping back the drums to highlight vocal intimacy, before reintroducing rhythmic elements in a carefully staged crescendo. The final drop delivers maximum impact by layering new melodic counterpoints while maintaining tight frequency balance and dynamic range, ensuring loudness without sacrificing clarity. From a production perspective, the sound design demonstrates expert use of spatial imaging and effects processing. Delays and reverbs are employed in stereo to create a sense of vastness, while high-pass filtering and mid-side EQ techniques keep the mix energetic yet uncluttered. The track’s dynamic energy flow makes it highly suitable for DJ use, with cue points and loop-friendly sections that support seamless set integration. Beyond its technical excellence, Neon Glow carries profound benefits for mental health and physical wellness. Research in music therapy has shown that listening to uplifting electronic music can reduce stress and elevate mood by stimulating dopamine and endorphin release (Thoma et al., 2013). The 138 BPM tempo aligns with heart-rate ranges that promote mild cardiovascular exercise, making the track ideal for fitness or dance-based wellness classes (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). Furthermore, the ethereal vocals and hypnotic atmospherics can induce flow states, supporting mindfulness and emotional regulation (Saarikallio, 2011). In group settings like yoga or cycling classes, the entrainment effect of rhythmic trance music can foster both community bonding and enhanced performance. In conclusion, Driftmoon, McLaren, and Ledge have created more than a club anthem—they’ve delivered a sonic experience that uplifts the human spirit, energizes the body, and resonates on a deeply emotional level. Neon Glow transcends entertainment, offering measurable positive impact on well-being while standing as a benchmark for modern trance production. #PureGold Love iT [/content]

[item value="10"]Oliver Smith & Susie Ledge - Love Is A Feeling[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Oliver Smith and Susie Ledge's debut collaboration on "Love Is A Feeling" is a masterclass in contemporary electronic music production, drawing on both nostalgic and innovative elements to create a track that resonates deeply with its audience. Technically, the production shines with Oliver Smith’s signature style, blending crisp, high-definition sound design with an emotional core. The track opens with a rich, resonant piano melody—reminiscent of the big piano pop dance era in the UK—crafted using layered grand piano samples processed with subtle reverb and delay to enhance spatial dynamics. The melody, while simple, is meticulously structured to serve as the emotional anchor of the track, inviting listeners into a soundscape that feels both familiar and fresh. The rhythm section is where the track truly pulses with life. Smith employs pulsating basslines crafted with analog synthesizers, providing a warm, rounded low-end that complements the thumping kick drum—a staple in dance music designed to drive energy on the dance floor. The kicks are tightly compressed to maintain clarity and punch, while elastic drum patterns, featuring syncopated hi-hats and snappy snares, add dynamic movement and groove. Suzie Ledge's vocal performance is seamlessly integrated into the production. Her vocals are not just layered over the instrumental; they are woven into the fabric of the track through advanced vocal processing techniques. This includes precise EQ adjustments for clarity, gentle compression to maintain consistent dynamics, and spatial effects like reverb and stereo widening to create an ethereal, enveloping presence. The melancholic yet euphoric tone of her voice aligns perfectly with the lush harmonic progressions, enhancing the emotional impact during the climactic build-ups. The arrangement showcases a careful balance between tension and release—a hallmark of effective dance music. This is achieved through gradual modulation of energy levels, strategic breakdowns, and euphoric climaxes, where all elements converge to create moments of sheer emotional intensity. The use of automation in filter sweeps and volume faders adds to the dynamic contour of the track, ensuring that each section flows seamlessly into the next. Overall, "Love Is A Feeling" is not just a song; it's an expertly crafted sonic journey that leverages state-of-the-art production techniques to evoke both nostalgia and excitement, making it a standout track in the realm of modern electronic music. #PureGold Love iT[/content]

[item value="10"]Cosmic Gate pres. Wake Your Mind 005 Exclusives[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Cosmic Gate performances and DJ compilations are always packed with stunning exclusives. 4 exclusive tracks from their latest compilation are out now on their extended versions. Daniel Wanrooy delivers the powerful Turn Off The Lights with dark pounding drums, crunchy basslines, thumping kicks, dark moody synths and cool female vocal top line that add context and elevate the track to a higher level. Energetic sharp and solid Daniel unleashes a true monster of progressive that will be remembered for long. Luccio's contribution is the track Unna that can be described as smooth melodic tripping out track with colorful playful synths and irresistible groove that once you hear it you feel locked instantly. The breakdown has a mysterious distorted vocal, cool cinematic atmosphere and suspenseful build up that lead to the full on euphoric climax. The son of the legend Roger Shah is making waves in the scene. Noah Shah offers his track Look For Me that moves in the melodic techno direction with mysterious dystopian synths, slow pitched vocal samples and mysterious moody atmosphere. With melancholic breakdown he slowly takes us towards his full on drop to push the audience to their limits with his rave infused synthy hook. Last but not least Cosmic Gate collaboration with Susie Ledge called Only You is an exceptional song with Suzie's ethereal vocals upon the pulsating dominating basslines, big thumping kicks, dystopian dark synhs and cinematic soundscapes. Overall are 4 forward thinking tracks with strong personality and character. #PureGold Love IT![/content]
