[item value="10"]Tiga - Mind Dimension (Adam Sellouk Remix)[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Adam Sellouk’s remix of Tiga’s “Mind Dimension” is a masterclass in high-energy techno production, seamlessly blending the original’s hypnotic essence with a modern, peak-time festival sound. Operating at 130 BPM, the track radiates power through its relentless basslines, thumping drums, and meticulously layered synths, delivering an electrifying experience for both club and festival environments. Sellouk’s reimagining demonstrates an expert understanding of sound design and spatial engineering, with each element—kicks, hi-hats, claps, and effects—occupying its own precise place in the stereo field. The mid-frequency synth stabs and airy atmospheric layers create a three-dimensional sonic landscape that immerses the listener completely. From a production standpoint, the remix utilizes advanced techniques such as sidechain compression to maintain clarity in the low end, ensuring that the kick drum punches through even during the busiest sections. Automated filter sweeps and dynamic reverb tails add movement and drama to the drops and build-ups, creating a sense of evolving momentum. Sellouk’s transitions are seamless, aided by clever use of risers, reverse effects, and drum fills, which maintain a driving energy throughout the entire arrangement. The track’s loudness balance and dynamic range demonstrate professional mastering quality, allowing for both powerful peaks and clean, polished quieter moments without listener fatigue. Musically, the remix excels in melodic hooks and harmonic layering. Subtle minor chord progressions and syncopated rhythmic patterns generate a hypnotic groove that keeps dancers engaged. The arrangement’s storytelling arc is particularly effective, starting with a stripped-back intro perfect for DJ mixing, escalating into high-intensity drops that fuel crowd euphoria, and resolving with a clean outro for smooth set transitions. This attention to cue points and loop potential makes it a highly versatile tool for club and festival DJs. Beyond its technical excellence, research suggests that high-tempo, rhythmic music like this remix can have positive effects on mental health, physical performance, and overall wellness. Studies published in the Journal of Music Therapy indicate that electronic dance music with consistent BPMs can elevate mood, reduce perceived exertion during exercise, and enhance focus in high-intensity fitness settings (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). Furthermore, immersive bass frequencies and repetitive rhythmic structures have been linked to states of flow and stress relief, as discussed in Frontiers in Psychology (2020). By combining infectious grooves with euphoric energy, Sellouk’s remix functions not only as a dancefloor weapon but also as a catalyst for emotional release and mental well-being. #PureGold Love it. Armada Music Group’s dance music investment company has acquired Tiga’s cult hit ‘Sunglasses at Night’ and more as part of the deal

BEAT Music Fund, the world’s first dance music investment company from Armada Music Group, today announced it has acquired the rights to a large portion of masters from Tiga, renowned DJ, producer and founder of Turbo Recordings. The deal includes Tiga’s ‘Sunglasses at Night,’ ‘Bugatti,’ ‘You Gonna Want Me,’ ‘Let’s Go Dancing,’ and ‘HAL’ ft. Kölsch, all of which solidified him as a techno luminary and have collectively garnered over 33 million streams on Spotify.

“Teaming up with BEAT and Armada Music Group marks a pivotal moment for me as an artist,” said Tiga. “We share a passion for dance music and a deep respect for creators in this space, and I look forward to working closely with the Armada team to reinvigorate my work and expand the influence of the techno genre.”
Lauded for his inventive sound that led the early-aughts electro revival, Tiga began releasing music in the late ‘90s and rose to global prominence with his electronic cover of Corey Hart’s ‘Sunglasses at Night’ in 2001. His critically acclaimed albums, Sexor, which spawned viral tracks like ‘You Gonna Want Me,’ and Ciao!, achieved massive success and played a major role in shaping the modern dance scene.

The acquisition reinforces the shared goal to breathe new life into his work. DJ and producer Layton Giordani’s recent remix of Tiga and Audion’s 2013 classic ‘Let’s Go Dancing’ earned a #1 spot on 1001Tracklists’ DJ Charts and nearly 2M streams across streaming platforms. Reimagined with a higher BPM for his energetic live sets, DJ Reinier Zonneveld and Zyntherius’ remix of Tiga’s 2001 hit ‘Sunglasses at Night’ also quickly found success as a 2024 club anthem.

“Tiga is a generational talent who has left an indelible mark on the dance music industry,” said Maykel Piron, CEO of Armada Music Group. “His prolific work - as both a solo artist and producer - has helped shape the genre for nearly 30 years. We’re honored to preserve Tiga’s legacy and look forward to seizing new opportunities to revitalize his iconic hits.”
Tiga is the latest artist to join BEAT’s notable roster as the company continues its mission to empower creators and build upon some of the most respected catalogs in the dance genre. To date, BEAT has inked catalog deals with Kevin Saunderson, Markus Schulz, Robbie Rivera, Jax Jones, Amba Shepherd, VIVa MUSiC, Sola Records, King Street Sounds, Chocolate Puma and more.

Continuing on his red-hot streak after a blazing summer, chart-topping producer and DJ Layton Giordani has put his hands to Tiga and Audion’s ‘Let’s Go Dancing’, giving the iconic record his signature techno treatment. A secret weapon in his sets for months, and met with widespread acclaim from fans and fellow producers alike, this highly anticipated release is out now.

More than a decade after its initial release, Layton Giordani joins the ranks of Solomun and Matroda in reworking Tiga and Audion’s nearly nine-minute long house classic. About Layton Giordani

Layton Giordani is a beacon in the techno scene, representing a new wave of talent. A New York native, Giordani’s journey into electronic music began in his teens, inspired by the legendary sets of Danny Tenaglia at Pacha NY. This profound experience drove him to pursue a career behind the decks, eventually securing a pivotal residency at Output NY in Brooklyn. Here, Giordani's talent flourished, catching the eyes of notable figures in the techno scene.

At Output NY, Giordani's abilities quickly sharpened, leading to his early career breakthrough. His big break came under the mentorship of Adam Beyer, the techno heavyweight behind the Drumcode label. Giordani refined his craft with Beyer's guidance, culminating in his debut EP, Unspoken, released on Beyer's Truesoul label. This significant release led to his debut on Drumcode with Rivington, establishing him as a rising force in the industry.

In 2017, Giordani's career reached new heights with the release of his debut album, Where It Begins. This album marked his entry into the global techno scene and received critical acclaim, cementing his status as a significant player. He followed this success with several major collaborations. One standout track was Live Again with Danny Tenaglia. Another was Space Date, a collaboration with Adam Beyer and Green Velvet, which amassed over 19 million streams on Spotify and became a summer anthem in 2018. Further hits included his solo EP, Phase II, the track Chrome, and Fuzion with Green Velvet.

Continuing his innovative streak, Giordani released his sophomore album, New Generation, in 2020. This album showcased his evolution as an artist, integrating diverse influences and pushing the boundaries of Drumcode’s sound. During the pandemic, he maintained his momentum with notable releases such as the Hyperworld EP, and high-energy collaborations like Rabbit Hole with HI-LO. And in 2023, Giordani released two huge remixes including a dynamic take on Olive's "You’re Not Alone" and "Voicemail" by Green Velvet and Patrick Topping.

As of 2024, Giordani continues to solidify his position at the forefront of the techno scene with a series of successful remixes and widespread radio support. His most recent remix of "Last Night" with Anyma soared to #1 overall on Beatport and is currently amassing over 100,000 streams per day on Spotify (June ‘24). Prior to this, his remix of "Party All The Time" in collaboration with Adam Beyer and Green Velvet also topped Beatport’s charts and has sustained impressive popularity, drawing over 70,000 daily streams three months post-release. Giordani’s work has garnered substantial radio support from prominent figures such as Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, Mista Jam on Capital, KISS, and has seen multiple rotations on Diplo’s Revolution XM radio. Reflecting his rising influence, he has been the #3 most trending artist on Beatport over the past 12 months, trailing only behind Fisher and John Summit.

Giordani's relentless pursuit of excellence and his innovative approach to techno have solidified his status as one of the genre’s elite artists, with a promising future ahead.
