Few artists in electronic music have managed to craft a legacy as enduring and personal as Mr Sam. In 2025, he celebrates three decades of artistry with HERITAGE, a monumental best-of collection released as a 10-vinyl collector’s box set and 4CD edition. Sold out on vinyl in record time, HERITAGE is a testament to his life-long devotion to music, capturing the voice of a craftsman who has always pursued authenticity over trends. This release functions both as an intimate autobiography and a historic contribution to the culture of trance and progressive music.

Since 1995, Mr Sam has been a defining figure in the global electronic music scene. A producer, remixer, and DJ, he is best known for his emotive and cinematic approach to trance, progressive, and techno. With iconic tracks like Lyteo, Forever Waiting, and Lotus, alongside genre-shaping remixes for Delerium, BT, and Jam & Spoon, he has left an indelible mark on dancefloors worldwide. His career is a story of integrity, experimentation, and passion, bridging underground credibility with melodic transcendence across thirty years.

Opening with Lotus - Within Or Without You (Mr Sam's Travel To New York Remix), HERITAGE sets a dreamy, ethereal tone—a cityscape captured in sound. It flows effortlessly into his rework of Delerium feat. Leigh Nash - Innocente, a trance lullaby both nostalgic and hopeful, before the golden-hour house energy of DNote - Shed My Skin* lights up the horizon. As Catapila - Void (I Need You) pulses with euphoria, and Urban Electro Squad - Ex Girlfriends brings sun-drenched playfulness tinged with bittersweet emotion, the narrative expands. Cosmic textures emerge in Miro - Spaceman, and then Red Screen - Friday Sickness surges with peak-time adrenaline, contrasted by the cinematic melancholy of Yellow Screen - Out Of Time.

The story deepens in the remixes, where Mr Sam’s reinterpretations become emotional landmarks. Dillinger & Capone - Trysting Fields seduces with dark allure, while Timo Maas presents Mad Dogs - Better Make Room grinds with underground attitude. The cathedral-like lift of Blank & Jones feat. Claudia Brücken - Unknown Treasure stands as a pinnacle of spiritual trance, and Y-Traxx - Mystery Land delivers nostalgia in pure form. Each track, from the progressive sweep of Morgan’s Wave to the soaring rebirth of Jam & Spoon - Odyssey To Anyoona, demonstrates his uncanny ability to inject both reverence and reinvention into the classics.

Collaborations mark the heart of the journey. The stripped fragility of Mr Sam feat. Kirsty Hawkshaw - Insight (Acoustic For Sam) contrasts with the hopeful glide of One Day and the romantic pulse of Surrender. Tracks like Seven 7 Seven and The Great Opus embody mystical and epic storytelling, while the melancholic beauty of Split (Jonas Steur Remix) and the long-breathing anthem Forever Waiting remind listeners why his music resonates beyond the dancefloor. The elegant flight of Cygnes and the tribal drive of Rydem Koba lead naturally to the radiant peak of Lyteo (Rank 1 Remix)—a moment of legacy in motion.

The journey concludes in the shadows of the Techno Side. Smooth reprieves like Madrid Inc - My Sunday’s Love give way to the raw edge of Pounds & Penz and the ritual pulse of Tantra. Industrial and tribal textures collide in Flying Around, Naranja, and Dominator, moving inexorably toward the spiky heat of Kaktus and bullish charge of El Toro. The classics reimagined in Anasthasia and the ticking euphoria of Deadmau5 - Clockwork lead to Mr Sam’s own Radar and This Is Cocaine Speaking, before closing on the joyful burst of Alegrya. Every track is a heartbeat in the life of an artist who has dedicated his soul to sound.

HERITAGE is more than a retrospective—it is a living document of a thirty-year journey, a bridge between the underground and the transcendent. Mr Sam’s work has left a lasting imprint on electronic music culture, influencing generations of producers and thrilling countless dancers across the globe. In capturing both the evolution of his craft and the emotions behind it, this release doesn’t just look back—it enshrines his legacy forever, ensuring his voice will echo across dancefloors and headphone dreams for decades to come.
