Qunicy debuts on Bonzai Progressive with the fantastic 'In Balance' which is backed up with two outstanding remixes.

The Original Mix intros with a classic kick and hat combination which sets the pace of the track up beautifully. The deep bass is accompanied by a cool riff that evolves as the track progresses. Cool rising pads lead into a superb break filled with melodic sequences and some nifty percussions before getting right back into the groove. Great stuff here and a definite must for the more upbeat prog sets.

Belgian duo Benoît Franquet and Cedric Piret aka Pole Folder & CP reunite to deliver a stunning remix. The guys have collaborated well in the past with releases on Bedrock Records. Individually they have reached the pinnacle of their respective careers and have gained much respect in the process. Here they work up a cool progressive vibe as the track intros with a sharp hat and a smooth arp that dominates the sound. Nice kicks fade in setting up a very cool rhythmic arrangement with the help of quality percussions. A deep resonating bass beefs up the sound and adds to the hypnotic tendencies as a result. In contrast, a sweet pluck adds a beautiful texture, superb stuff!

The legend that is Airwave is next up to remix duties with his now signature Breaks Mix. Laurent has proven time and time again this his status as legend is very well deserved given the quality of his own material and also the quality he pours into remixes like this. Very subtle intro with some FX and percussions, a rising cymbal is greeted by nice and chunky kicks in breaks style. The ever teasing synth pads weave intricate melodies that just sit back and create an air of beauty. The beats are ever evolving and in full swing they are something to behold and when the melodies burst forth you get an intense euphoric vibe which just feels right. An incredible remix and no doubt will be very well received!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Bonzai Progressive always searches for the finest tracks and In Balance by the upcoming Belgian talent Quincy is definitely an example of the freshness and diversity you can expect on a such highly influential record label. The original mix is a deep melodic progressive house gem that manage very easily to hypnotise you and engage you with its stunning rhythm and lock you in its irresistible groove. Pole Folder & CP take things even deeper and transform the original into an exceptional magical version that cinematic strings, airy pads, rock guitar riffs and spacey effects and sounds build the outstanding soundscape that only music can actually create and switch on your imagination. The beloved Airwave that I had the chance to interview in Amsterdam at the  Luminosity Trance Gathering party service the fantastic version that changes completely the track and turns it into a breaks version that is outstanding and very impressive. His version has movement, energy and is very danceable as well. While I was writing those lines I was doing parallel my chair raving as well with hands in the air! Cinematic blissful atmosphere and excellent melodramatic percussion in the breakdown ensure that your sonic journey has moments of tension and resolution and of course will never end. Love iT

Perfecto Records is proud to present a brand new series of EP’s called “Perfect Form”.

The sound of Perfecto neatly rolled into one awesome package of original tracks, all with Perfectly balanced, perfectly formed mix alternatives.

“Perfect Form 01” features two Perfecto artists in fine form - Korea’s Justin Oh and Eshericks – it also features production work from Arma and breaks king Under This.

Justin Oh, hot off the back of “Getting Over You”, his vocal hit with Remus, brings us two tracks – “Sinsa” – the Eshericks mix of which has been getting heavy early support from Mr Oakenfold. “Find You” which has had deep as well as brooding alternate mixes from Andre Sobota, again shows off Justin’s credentials as an fresh, exciting and original artist to watch out for.

“Reckless” is a sultry vocal sex bomb from a new breaks favourite of ours  - Arma. It’s sexy, sassy and truly delicious. And more breaks culinary excellence comes from the genius that is Under This.

Enjoy Perfect Form. More to come.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Perfecto records is the top label headed by the legend and pioneer Paul Oakenfold. The brand new EP series Perfect Form showcases the wide variety of music styles that you can discover under the well known Perfecto trademark. First of all is the fantastic breaks/indie rock anthem Reckless. The original mix is a tougher harsh dirty sounding breaks track that service well the indie rock female vocals full of attitude singing the very catchy sing a long lyrics.  Under This remix is much more atmospheric breaks take that will remind you the best work of artists like Hybrid. Liquid beats, warm strings and cinematic breakdown that allows the great vocal to shine. Really beautiful and maybe next crossover Perfecto  release. Justin Oh returns on Perfecto with his anthem Find You & Sinsa. Melodic progressive house meets trance track at it's very best with electro and even disco infusions and influences. Very 80's sounding with colourful synths and euphoria to conquer the international dancefloors. Superb breaks style sequence in the breakdown and vocodered vocals on top. The climax is optimistic and uplifting to the maximum.  Andre Sobota is on the rise and on this EP service the dark and light versions. The Dark remix as you can understand is a deep dark trance makeover that is haunting, cinematic, simply irresistible.  Packed with great grooves and chaotic melodies is an enlightening experience for sure. The Light remix as the title suggests is an optimistic progressive trance version with house elements too. Close your eyes and let the music guide you to mystic places and spaces The disco hi-nrg sound is highlighted and you expect Donna Summer to come out and tell us how much she Feels Love. On Sinsa the uprising and very talented Justin Oh delivers an exceptional hybrid of driving progressive house, disco and 80's synthy trance at its best. Energetic and peak time while it relax you and free your mind and body on the dancefloor. The breakdown reveals the mixed up, chopped vocal sample while underneath the balearic summery synths along with nice smooth breaks. Floating production that will re-energise and charge your senses for sure and will be played by wide variety of djs & producers. Eshericks Remix is full on and in your face rough edge breaks meets 4x4 version that sounds so booming and banging that can be easily played within house or trance sets. Catch this if you can...Perfecto EP with Perfect tracks that each one deserves big support on the underground and mainstream world. Love IT

1. Disconnected (Original Mix)

Another dream team’s giving sound to the summer of 2013. Italian producer Antillas re-unites with singer/songwriter Fiora Cutler, providing a highly anticipated follow-up to ‘Damaged’. In collaboration with Italy’s rising talent Vitodito, they bring the smashingly energetic ‘Disconnected’!

At the final stages of producing his artist album, Antillas makes the sounds of electro, house and trance join forces in one, all-destroying record. It breaks the barriers, impossible to pigeonhole, triggering the mind to go with its contagious flow.

Fiora’s distinctive vocals, as heard on the records of Armin van Buuren, Moguai, Erick Morillo and many more, bring out the light of this dark, tainted but incredibly smooth monster of a tune. ‘Disconnected’.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Trice! recordings loves to surprise us and this time returns with another really unique and stand out tune that you don't expect to get on this label. The top producer   Antillas teams up with the rising talent Vitodito and the fantastic Fiora for Disconnected. Its not very easy to categorise the track as it includes influences from breakbeat to dubstep and electro house. The result of putting all these into one melting pot  is a very energetic tune with pure, real and clear  head banging  power. I can imagine particularly USA audiences who search for rough and raw basslines and dirty smashing beats will adore it straight away. It starts with breaks intro that becomes heavier with cool vocal samples like "action", "perfect beat". Slowly the melodies are coming and you  feel the  emotional touch and cinematic atmosphere that elevates the track to the next level.  The real star here is Fiora who has the amazing talent to perform her vocals in a such exceptional  way that gives real life to the situations that she describes in her lyrics. In other words you identify with her and you feel disconnected and lost in music. The track continues in a rough rocking way and it finishes with cool break beat. Its perfect to use it as an intro track in your set and build it up with the rest of your tunes. Of course djs who play nu rave/bass music can easily play it in their sets with brilliant results. Lets hope very soon the big room house or even trance remixes will be added for the big masses to enjoy. Love IT!

1-Radio edi
2-Bicep remix
3-Tory Y Moi remix
4-Bauuer remix

Last week it was finally announced that Disclosure have christened their highly anticipated debut album, Settle and the album will appear in early June on itunes. The latest single from the two brothers from London is "You & Me" feat. Eliza Doolittle  with around one third of a million Plays on Soundcloud within two days. By giving Howard and Guy Lawrence their penchant for UK garage beats this time even more space, this track will soon conquer all the clubs in the world.

Catchy, danceable, with a lovely young lady who completes the package with her vocals. Their latest hits "Latch" feat. Sam Smith (UK ranked # 11) and "White Noise" feat. AlunaGeorge (UK # 2), which will also be represented at  the upcoming album Settle and sold in the UK alone over 600,000 times together. Settle appears in Germany  on 31 May.

Disclosure have already proved with their first EPs that they hardly understand how any other electronic act, can merge together with catchy melodies and danceable beats R & B vocals. After the garage / house duo already showed up the year on various best-of and artist-to-watch-lists, their upcoming debut album Settle is now long acted as one of the musical highlights of 2013. Pre-orders for the album are from 12 May  on iTunes. Other album guests include Ed Mac, Sasha Keable, Jamie Woon, Jessie Ware and London Grammar!

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the finest names in EDM at the moment can only be the magnificent Disclosure that seems to be the project that will characterise the sound of 2013 as well. Quality productions so far and EDM fans  are waiting with anticipation the release of their album Settle.  The latest single is the incredibly beautiful You & Me featuring the ethereal and soulful performance of Eliza Doolittle. The original mix is underground retro garage/acid house song that will definitely have a positive effect straight away on every listener and will make you daydream  the good moments that you passed along with your loved one, that very special person that your heart is beating for him/her. On the same style moves  the Bicep remix. It starts with breaks style section and then moves to the tougher beats and  funky basslines becoming more old school Detroit techno style. The very melancholic breakdown will touch you deeply as it  includes a very beautiful synthy melody that highlights Eliza's voice to the maximum. Tory Y Moi remix is moving on the electro/drum n bass style that is tranquilising, rejuvenating, relaxing, soothing and calming perfect to drop in your cafe del mar/chilly style dj set. Lastly the Bauuer remix is an excellent trap rework with plenty of creative twists and turns to keep you glued on the dancefloor. Fat bouncy beats, basslines to energise you instantly, pitched and totally smashed vocals along with great melodies on top. If you like urban sounds this remix will win your heart and your friends will enjoy the  crazy Harlem Shake dance moves once again. You & Me is a modern love song that will become classic pop song straight away. Love IT!

3-Kirk Spencer remix
4-Nathan C remix

Dimitri Kechagias review: Crystal Fighters are about to conquer the world with their forthcoming album Cave Rave. The single coming out from the album You & I seems to be the excellent choice to introduce the group to a wider audience. The original mix is a great indie dance track with folk influences and electronic music elements as well. The remix package landed and is simply stunning. Firstly Sunless 97 present a very interesting summer friendly remix with cool percussion and chilly sounds and ambient experimental atmosphere.  If you would like an electro pop/disco house influenced version Gigamesh deliver a very energetic and playful remix with 80's electro and Giorgio Moroder style synths.Kirk Spencer remix is another really experimental version with slow electro beats, warm feel good melodies, full vocals on top with amazing summer morning atmosphere to it. Lastly if you like the euphoric epic prog house sounds better head to Nathan C remix. Rough and pumping with euphoric synths and great use of the vocals to start singing a long with it. Buy now on Beatport click here

Dimitri Kechagias review:  The Italian resident dj and producer on  Afterglow deep, Gai Barone provides the next chapter in his very successful career. His backcatalogue includes some of the finest deep progressive releases that both trance and house community appreciate deeply. His productions are not just great tracks to drop in your set and put your crowd in a certain mood but also great pieces of real art and not the ephemeral, plastic junk found pop music style. His compositions are so rich with multiple layers of sounds, melodies and sound effects that manage to draw you instantly in its  mysterious, haunting and unpredictable soundscape. You can imagine Gai Barone not just as a  music composer but also as a film director that every single sound plays crucial role in order to build the whole picture. Little Bad Wolf  in its  nearly 8  minutes duration invite you for a journey into the mysterious unreal world of myths and kids stories with the aid of deep haunting basslines, break beat sequence in the breakdown, strange and very weird sound effects like vinyl scratching and of course luscious melodies and  big euphoric synths stabs in the top and really sensual and imaginative breakdown. The climax is packed with trance goodness as the synthys lead the track towards the magnificent ending in a very floating spacius way. The Liquid Rainbow  remix is done by Mobilize who transforms the original into a relaxing and very soothing breaks version perfect to include in the next Cafe Del Mar compilation. It is packed with warm  atmospheric strings, sweet melancholic dreamy melodies and relentless moving and grooving break beats to get you on board for that ride through the forest to avoid the Little Bad Wolf who always searchs for naughty EDM fans. Highly recommended. Love iT!

01. Synthasourus Rex (Deadcell Remix)
02. Risk Everything (Deadcell Remix)

La'Reda present the follow up to their debut single on the Rub A Duck imprint, featuring the tracks "Synthasourus Rex" and "Risk Everything", both now remixed by Deadcell.

The boys from U.S. based La'Reda have a biography that cuts right to the chase: 'an electro house duo with an addiction to bass, a dance floor orgasm and the insane in all its forms'. In the last three months the two producers have delivered a total of 11 original singles and 3 remixes; slowing down doesn't fit their description. At the legendary Coachella music festival this year they had the audience sweating it up during their live sets and at the record breaking Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas things pretty much went the same. With the original versions of the tracks presented here, La'Reda made it perfectly clear why their music has such a huge effect on their audience.

The U.K. formation Deadcell doesn't mind a slightly elusive haze around their name. They have been described as 'the bastard love child of a long standing trance producer and an up and coming dubstep DJ/producer'. Fact is that Deadcell's output definitely rocks the clubs all over the world and receives the support of many heavy weight DJs. It truly has made them the best unknown producers of today.

The originals of both titles scored big time with the large crowds, especially because of the unique mixture of techno, trance, electro and splash of maximal house in it. For the remixes, however, Deadcell decided to give both cuts a massive overhaul. "Syntasaurus Rex" was turned into a no holds barred dubstep rendition that paves the dance floors with reinforced beats and bass drops. For "Risk Everything" Deadcell approached things from the other end of trade and carved out a killer electro house version with some serious maximal synth sweeps, stretched to the max vocal edits and a massive break. This means two tracks for every DJ that is ready to rumble. Literally.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The big success story for the Bass label Rub A Duck continues with prolific and strictly high quality releases. The next big thing is the two awesome remixes on La'reda tracks released on Black Hole recordings main label. Deadcell  rock the clubs and their touch on La'Reda originals is much needed and welcoming too. First of all is  Synthasourus Rex that is coming on a superb dubstep version that will cause big headache to your grandparents for sure. It starts really atmospheric with the feel good melody and huge chunks of breaks until to land on the fat and absolutely ruthless, rough and highly distorted dubstep main section. Deadcell have manage to compose a highly infectious version with melodic riffs and dubstep maddening basslines to get the clubbers dancing and pumping. Very atmospheric and dreamy in the breakdown with heartfelt piano melody that is followed by the full on bass attack on the floor.Deadcell Remix on Risk Everything is a powerful peak time electro house meets epic prog house with nu rave infusions. So fat and furious, so slamming and so pumping that I can imagine all the big boys like Tiesto and Laiback Luke supporting it cause it has class and strong melodic theme for sweaty nights out! BIG Release, so don't miss the bad boys. Love iT!
