Eric Luttrell returns to Anjunadeep with his new single ‘On The Line’, a club-ready offering that marks his first standalone release since his album ‘Life at Full Speed’.

First breaking into electronic music as one-third of the OWSLA-affiliated trio The M Machine, Eric Luttrell launched his solo career in 2016 with the acclaimed Need You EP. He quickly became a mainstay on Anjunadeep with releases such as the 'Generate EP' and 'Intergalactic Plastic', the latter earning Annie Mac’s Hottest Record In The World on BBC Radio 1. His artistic evolution has since continued through three studio albums, Intro Clouds and Lucky Ones and most recently ‘Life at Full Speed’. To date, Luttrell’s body of work has surpassed 120 million streams worldwide.

Eric Luttrell announced on his Instagram account that a new era has begun for his music career. After a decade of touring and releasing music under the name Luttrell, he has chosen to rebrand the project using his full name, Eric Luttrell. He explained that this change represents more than a shift in branding—it reflects a commitment to embracing his most authentic self and creating music without fear. There’s been ‘Hero’s by the dozen, any number of ‘Angels’, likely hundreds of ‘Forevers’ and ‘Tonights’ … but when it comes to song titles, ‘Enjoy The Silence’ stands alone.

Even before you’ve laid eyes on its artwork, likely you already had an excellent idea of what’s incoming (so good in fact that we won’t even mention the original artists behind it!) Suffice to say it’s a shared love of the group that’s brought Paul Thomas and Christian’s Burns together to re-envision ‘Enjoy The Silence’.

Production-wise, Paul’s brilliantly modded the original’s mode, turning its richly lamenting atmospheres into something more transcendentally blissed out and (dare we say!) sunset kissed. Underpinned by prog chug, the UV boss has married trickling melodies, rippling bass and melting harmonies to the echoing FX that hangs omnipresent in its midrange.

Tracking that tone, Christian’s delivery is nebulous, lingering and gloriously heat-hazed. Re-exploring the original's complexity, he ensures that each emotion conveyed is fleeting, with no one feeling lingering beyond a single lyrical line.

As its song says though, “words are very unnecessary” … so simply ‘Enjoy The Silence’.

Instead Paul and Christian move in a deeper esoteric balearic direction and manage extremely well to provide their own unique version that will turn some heads. Planet Love is releasing the first of two digital products of the Ibiza classic 'Sweet Suffering' by Asheni. 

The Original DJ Sin Plomo Mix of this song was a cult track in Ibiza and was played daily at the famous Café del Mar bar. It made it on the Terrace Mix by DJ Toni Simonen in 2013 that was released on a double CD back in the day. 

This new remix by Carbiolet Paris (Steve Brian) and Torsten Stenzel gives it a more house and danceable approach, still featuring the killer vocals of Neo Jazz Singer Asheni 😀
