REVIEW: Eelke Kleijn - Time Machine out on Days Like Nights

10.0
Overall Score

Following the success of ‘Transmission’ and his version of Lee Cabrera’s ‘Self Control’, Eelke Kleijn once again outdoes himself. With call-and-response melodies and ever-evolving pluck leads, this highly melodious ‘Time Machine’ takes listeners back and forth across both dance floors and timelines.

Summary

Eelke Kleijn is back with his next huge track after the brilliant Transmission and the top rework of Self Control. Now the next global weapon is called Time Machine. The chunky driving grooves, pulsating basslines, bubbly percussion and superb 90's feel with certain classic Dutch house flavors in it. The piano chords and the female vocal chops merged brilliantly with the very memorable and hit ready simple but very infectious melody. The airy strange but deliciously infectious riff does the trick and lead the track to its great climax when all melodic layers are coming together to shape this future classic that recalls in a way the 3 Drives in a vinyl unique sound. Magical, hypnotic and balearic prog house at its finest. We adore its cause we adore Eelke! #PureGold Love IT
