For many, June’s release of Craig Connelly and HALIENE’s ‘Other Side Of The World’ delivered one of the most memorable (and downright singable!) floor-anthems of the summer. Was there any reason, the pair wondered, that the track couldn’t pull off the same feat in winter!?

From his ‘Skygarden’ debut, Daxson’s gone on to become a mainstay of festival & arena events; served one floor-fuelling release after another, and in 2022 delivered his critically applauded first album. Oh, and he’s proved himself a highly capable set of remix hands too - something not lost on Craig Connelly. Craig originally tapped Daxson for a remix of his ‘Anything Like You’ a few years back. With that in mind, when it came to winter-warming ‘Other Side Of The World’, there was no other name on his list … 

The Coldharbourite’s treatment takes the stylistic ground already covered by the original wholly into account. While Craig & HALIENE’s version had the melodic, harmonic and uplifting ends on lock, Daxson delivers something later-night-lethal. Daxson injects the original with his pumping energetic basslines, thumping kicks, pounding drums and great dark and sinister sounds. The breakdown allows Emma's voice to shine bright with her heartfelt lyrics and when the rocking beat is coming back the track goes out of any control for an uplifting anthemic euphoric but still dark and edgy climax. Somna takes the proglifting direction with his chunky wonky electro trance foundation while on top he adds his melodic layers and the top Emma's super beautiful vocals. The breakdown is all about the vocal and the massive synthy riff along with the massive build up that leads to its highly dynamic euphoric and truly optimistic climax to make us all Warriors on the dancefloor! Coldharbour is blessed with an ever-expanding UK based family of members, and Daxson is the latest to step up to the plate, with the elusive Blackcard.

It has been a busy year for the Manchester resident, having collaborated with Davey Asprey for Fantome, along with remixing the iconic Stealing Beauty by Rapid Eye, as well as the appraised Searching by Markus Schulz as Dakota.

Blackcard exemplifies the signature Daxson sounds; with an energetic bassline giving way towards some beautifully harmonic and uplifting melodies. It is one for the trancefamily to soak up and enjoy; and one that lights up those lingering and longer nights.
