EBENEZER are here to carve out their own lane in forward-thinking club music. The collaborative project of Ruben de Ronde and Estiva pushes the intensity further, delivering their first brilliant EP with driving, high-energy cuts built for peak-time moments. Razor-sharp percussion, rolling basslines, and a euphoric lift collide in tracks that balance raw power with emotional release. The Colorblind EP solidifies EBENEZER’s sound as both uncompromising and refined, primed for big stages and late-night club floors alike. The five-track package includes their brand-new vocal anthem "Colorblind" alongside Sarah de Warren, as well as the heavy-hitting underground club cuts "Lovlee On My Skin," "Falls," "Heaven," and "ArenA".

Bringing a wealth of industry expertise to the project is Ruben de Ronde, a highly celebrated Dutch DJ, producer, and a foundational pillar of the global trance community. Widely recognized as the long-standing co-host of Armin van Buuren’s globally influential A State of Trance (ASOT) radio show, Ruben has spent nearly two decades shaping the electronic music landscape. As an astute A&R manager for Armada Music and the mastermind behind his own progressive imprint, Statement! Recordings, he has consistently balanced a busy international touring schedule with a reputation for pristine, atmospheric studio engineering.

Complementing this sonic vision is Estiva (Steven Baan), a pioneering force in progressive house and melodic techno. Since breaking into the international circuit in 2006, the Netherlands-native has evolved from a bedroom producer into a globally touring mainstay with high-profile releases on standard-bearing labels like Anjunabeats, Colorize, and Enhanced Recordings. Revered for his ability to weave deep, hypnotic grooves with sophisticated, emotionally charged melodies, Estiva’s intricate sound design and club-ready instincts serve as the perfect counterweight in this thrilling new alliance. Together under the EBENEZER banner, these two veterans strip away the boundaries of their solo sounds to unlock a ferocious, warehouse-ready energy.

[item value="10"]EBENEZER - Colorblind EP [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]EBENEZER's Colorblind EP marks a triumphant entry into the world of cutting-edge melodic progressive trance, and the title track featuring Sarah de Warren exemplifies the meticulous craftsmanship behind the project. The track’s rhythm and groove lock in immediately, driven by a tightly produced 128 BPM foundation of pulsating basslines and thumping kicks. The percussion, both razor-sharp and dynamically layered, ensures that the energy flow and transitions maintain an irresistible momentum, perfectly suited for peak-time club moments and festival main stages. Each melodic hook and harmonic layer is carefully interwoven, creating an immersive soundstage that balances euphoria with a sense of emotional release. The drops and build-ups are not only technically pristine but also engineered to maximize crowd reaction, with their tension and resolution designed for seamless cueing and looping in live DJ sets. The production demonstrates a masterful use of sound design and spatial effects. Wide stereo imaging and delicately measured reverbs create a sense of atmospheric immersion that allows the vocal line to soar with clarity, while still maintaining rich harmonic content in the background. The dynamic range is expertly balanced, allowing for high loudness levels without causing listener fatigue, and each element of the arrangement contributes to a cohesive storytelling arc. The track’s structure, with its thoughtfully designed intro and outro, ensures BPM consistency and easy synchronization in multi-track environments, catering perfectly to professional DJs. The use of effects—filters, delays, and subtle modulation—enhances the track’s identity, demonstrating creativity and originality while maintaining club functionality. From a human perspective, Colorblind offers more than just dancefloor energy. Scientific studies, such as those by Thoma et al. (2013) and Schäfer et al. (2013), have shown that music with rhythmic predictability, uplifting melodies, and emotionally expressive vocals can improve mood, reduce anxiety, and enhance cognitive performance. The euphoric drops and emotionally resonant vocals of Colorblind can positively impact mental health by triggering dopamine release, often associated with pleasurable musical experiences (Salimpoor et al., 2011). Its steady rhythm and energetic flow also make it highly suitable for fitness and wellness classes, where synchronized movement with music has been shown to increase motivation and endurance (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). By combining technical excellence with emotional depth, EBENEZER’s work enhances not just the dancefloor experience but also contributes to overall well-being. #PureGold Loveit [/content]

Origin and Identity: Born from a challenge issued by Insomniac Events for the 2024 Dreamstate festival, the duo spent two years refining their shared vision for the project. Musically, EBENEZER focuses on high-energy, forward-thinking tech-trance designed for massive festival systems and dark, peak-time club sets.

Tracks Released (as of May 2026) Since their debut in late 2025, EBENEZER has quickly become a staple on Armin van Buuren's A State Of Trance label.

[item value="10"]EBENEZER & Lovlee - On My Skin[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]“On My Skin” by EBENEZER & Lovlee exemplifies a masterclass in modern trance production, achieving a perfect synergy between emotional depth and technical precision. The track opens with a deep, warm bass foundation that establishes a consistent 124 BPM groove, ensuring seamless synchronization for DJs and excellent cue point flexibility in live sets. The rhythmic structure is tightly programmed, with crisp percussive elements driving a hypnotic groove that maintains forward momentum without ever feeling rushed. As the arrangement unfolds, layers of harmonic pads and sweeping arpeggiated synths introduce rich melodic hooks that intertwine with Lovlee’s haunting vocal performance, creating a soundscape that is both cinematic and immersive. The dynamic range is meticulously balanced, allowing each frequency to breathe while still delivering the loudness and energy required for both club and festival environments. The build-ups and transitions are executed with exceptional finesse, employing carefully modulated risers, filter sweeps, and rhythmic delays that culminate in euphoric drops without resorting to formulaic clichés. Spatial effects and stereo imaging enhance the three-dimensionality of the mix, giving the listener the sensation of being enveloped in a vast, atmospheric journey. This production precision contributes to the track’s replay value and its ability to evoke emotional resonance, as subtle details become more apparent with repeated listens. The originality of the arrangement lies in its balance of melodic accessibility and tech-trance intensity, maintaining cohesion and a clear narrative arc from intro to outro, making it an ideal choice for peak-time sets and festival stages alike. Beyond its technical accomplishments, “On My Skin” demonstrates the positive psychological and physiological effects that music of this caliber can offer. Research has shown that melodic electronic music at moderate tempos can stimulate the release of dopamine and endorphins, which enhance mood and reduce stress (Salimpoor et al., 2011). The track’s steady BPM and upbeat tonal progression lend themselves naturally to fitness and wellness applications, where rhythmic entrainment can improve cardio performance and focus (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). Furthermore, the ethereal vocal delivery and immersive production can induce flow states and meditative relaxation, making it an excellent complement to yoga, mindfulness, and recovery sessions. By blending emotional storytelling with high-fidelity sound design, EBENEZER & Lovlee craft a track that not only captivates on the dancefloor but also contributes to mental well-being and holistic health. #PureGold Loveit [/content]

[item value="10"]EBENEZER - Heaven [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]EBENEZER’s “Heaven” is an exceptional progressive trance production that pushes the boundaries of modern club music while delivering a deeply immersive listening experience. At 126 BPM, the track demonstrates a masterful integration of rhythm, groove, and drive, with razor-sharp percussion and rolling basslines creating a dynamic foundation that sustains energy throughout its runtime. The melodic hooks and harmonic layers are not only memorable but also showcase high-level sound design techniques, with the main synth melody drawing listeners into an ethereal soundscape complemented by subtle yet effective background vocals. Transitions and drops are fluid and meticulously engineered, using sidechain compression, filter sweeps, and reverb tails to maintain energy flow and momentum between sections, giving DJs a versatile tool for both club and festival sets. The production quality is pristine, with wide stereo imaging and carefully balanced frequencies that highlight EBENEZER’s attention to detail in spatial design. Creative use of panning, delay effects, and ambient textures enhances the track’s atmosphere and immersion, while the dynamic range remains well-controlled, allowing high-energy peaks to hit with impact without sacrificing clarity. This attention to loudness balance ensures the track remains engaging for high-volume playback in professional sound systems without listener fatigue. The originality of the arrangement lies in its seamless evolution, building tension with evolving arpeggios and layering elements before releasing into euphoric drops that inject emotional resonance and powerful storytelling into the listening experience. “Heaven” also stands out in terms of its psychological and physiological impact. Scientific research in music therapy and neuroscience indicates that rhythmic, high-BPM electronic music can stimulate dopamine production, enhance mood, and support cognitive performance (Thoma et al., 2013; Zatorre & Salimpoor, 2013). The uplifting harmonic progression and euphoric synthesis in “Heaven” align with findings showing that emotionally positive music can lower stress markers like cortisol and improve mental well-being (Koelsch et al., 2016). Furthermore, the track’s steady tempo and powerful bass make it particularly effective for fitness and wellness classes, where rhythmic entrainment can improve movement synchronization and exercise performance (Terry et al., 2020). DJs and wellness instructors alike can leverage the track’s cue points, loop potential, and BPM consistency to maintain flow and elevate participant engagement in both club and exercise environments. By combining technical excellence with creativity and emotional depth, “Heaven” achieves high marks across all performance criteria. Its crowd reaction potential is immense, with its soaring melodies and driving beats engineered for peak moments on the dance floor. The track intro and outro are crafted with practical DJ functionality in mind, offering smooth transitions and looping opportunities to enhance set cohesion. As a result, the track not only entertains but also contributes positively to listeners’ mental and physical wellness, exemplifying music’s ability to unite art and science in transformative ways. #PureGold Loveit[/content]

[item value="10"]Ferry Corsten, Ruben de Ronde & NRG2000 - Rise Up [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]"Rise Up" by Ferry Corsten in collaboration with Ruben de Ronde and his side project NRG2000 is a masterclass in trance production, blending nostalgic elements with cutting-edge techniques to create a sonic experience designed to captivate any dancefloor. At its core, "Rise Up" operates at a pulsating 142 BPM, a tempo that perfectly balances high energy with rhythmic fluidity, ideal for peak-time sets. The track opens with a dynamic build-up, using layered percussive elements that progressively intensify, setting the stage for the vibrant synths that define its character. The vibrating synths are crafted using a combination of analog emulation and digital synthesis, providing both warmth and clarity. These synths employ detuned saw waves layered with subtle white noise to create a rich, expansive soundscape that resonates through club speakers. The domineering rave vocal is another standout feature, processed through formant shifting and heavy reverb to give it a larger-than-life presence. This vocal anchors the track, providing a human element amidst the electronic textures, and is strategically placed to maximize emotional impact during key transitions. Production-wise, "Rise Up" showcases meticulous attention to detail in its arrangement. The drop is engineered with sidechain compression, allowing the kick drum to punch through the mix, ensuring that each beat hits with maximum force. The bassline, crafted with a resonant, low-end growl, complements the kick perfectly, creating a driving groove that propels the track forward. Moreover, the breakdown section utilizes atmospheric pads and arpeggiated sequences, designed with complex modulation routes to add evolving textures. This not only provides a moment of emotional respite but also builds tension, making the subsequent drop even more impactful. In essence, "Rise Up" is a track that embodies the spirit of trance—euphoria, unity, and energy—while showcasing modern production techniques that keep it fresh and relevant. It's a testament to the producers' expertise in blending classic trance elements with innovative sound design, ensuring that it resonates on both nostalgic and contemporary levels. #PureGold Love IT [/content]

Remixing the official anthem for A State of Trance 2024 can be quite the challenge, yet Ben Nicky and Cubicore knock it out of the ballpark. Retaining the qualities that made ‘Destination’ a full-blown anthem whilst injecting a sound all their own, the two scene powerhouses show exactly how on top of their game they truly are.

However, the collaboration between Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Rank 1, and Ruben de Ronde, titled “Destination (A State of Trance 2024 Anthem),” has been remixed by renowned artists. 01: Driftmoon x Ruben de Ronde x 88Birds - Colour Of Your Eyes (Original Mix)
02: Driftmoon x Ruben de Ronde x 88Birds - Colour Of Your Eyes (Extended Mix)
03: Driftmoon x Ruben de Ronde x 88Birds - Colour Of Your Eyes (Extended Intro Mix)

To say the last twelve months have spelt change for Driftmoon might be the electronic music understatement of the year. In that time, the act’s gone from being an ‘I’ back to a ‘We’, with Miikka Leinonen rejoining Driftmoon’s other founder member Juraj Klička. After seven years apart, the much fan-cheered reunification has clearly become not just a force multiplier, but also a force for their change.

With a 2024 album on the rise (Driftmoon’s first since ‘Remember The Night’ in 2019), they’ve been equalising their classically melodic sound with more atypical fare. And none more so perhaps than last month’s metal guitar-led climate polemic, ‘Earth Song’.

For its follow up, the Finnish/Slovak duo are joined by one of the most recognisable faces in the industry, Ruben de Ronde. Known for his melodic production approach, through successful releases like ‘Bloodstream’, ‘The Distance’ and ‘Oxygen‘ (alongside 88Birds), Ruben’s become one of the progressive genre’s leading lights. Today Driftmoon and Ruben de Ronde reconnect with 88Birds, a singer-songwriter renowned for her artistry, and collectively on ‘Colour Of Your Eyes’ the quartet have gifted early summer a genuine anthem to embrace.

Artistically, ‘Colour Of Your Eyes’ falls somewhere between the album’s earlier vanguard singles (‘Bliss’ ‘Prime Example’, and ‘Falling’) and ‘Earth Song’. It cruises beatifically from port, caught on a tide of rolling beats, undulating bass and FX-infused coastal atmospheres. Juraj, Miikka and Ruben frame the track in a progressive manner, never letting one of its exceptional sounds, sequences or elements overpower another. ‘Colour Of Your Eyes’ song meanwhile sees 88Birds shift deftly between the edgy Bjorkian provocations of her verses and its sweetly harmonised chorus.

Prefacing Driftmoon’s five-years-in-the-waiting ‘Moonstruck’ LP, the ‘Colour Of Your Eyes’ is revealed today! Find it where all fine music is sold or streamed HERE.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Driftmoon and Ruben De Ronde with the excellent vocals of  88Birds present the exceptional high class progressive trance anthem Colour Of Your Eyes. It comes in two versions with intro mix to make it easier to start your DJ set with it. The original track is a blissful melodic dreamy sun soaked beauty with pulsating basslines, electro infused grooves, chunky kicks and punchy drums perfect to create that balearic hypnotic atmosphere. The vocal is absolutely mesmerizing and will be remembered as the years go by. With harps, orchestral strings and touching synths and tripping out melody Color of Your Eyes is simply unmissable for those who love their trance to move to the next level or song writing, arrangement and composition. #PureGold Love IT [/content]
