Snowbombing - winner of ‘Best Small Festival’ at last night’s European Festival Awards in Groningen - unveils the final wave of acts set to join a whole host of world-class musical talent in ‘the party capital of the Alps’, from 3-8 April 2017. With just under three months to go until the 18th edition of the festival takes over the alpine village of Mayrhofen once more, the theme for this year’s Snowbombing Road Trip is also revealed, with Europe’s biggest festival car rally set to bring the Freakadelic Circus to the mountains!

SB17 LINEUP COMPLETE!

Snowbombing royalty returns to the ‘hof as Drum & Bass pioneer Andy C joins the bill for SB17! The award-winning DJ, producer and founder of the influential Ram Records is a serial Snowbomber, guaranteed to deliver another standout set to the Mayrhofen masses as he takes over the Racket Club once more, ready to test its monstrous sound system with a raucous selection of DnB anthems.

SB17 welcomes back yet another DnB innovator in the shape of producer, DJ & Mercury Prize winner Roni Size. Studio Barnhus head Axel Boman and Running Back main man Gerd Janson both make their debut Snowbombing appearance, joined by UK producer Midland, Germany’s Matthias Meyer and Ruede Hagelstein and Compost regular Rafael Da Cruz.

Snowbombing are also excited to be announcing a partnership with UKF for SB17, kicking off on the 11th February with a massive Snowbombing x UKF launch party at Printworks – London’s new 5000 capacity music and arts space - featuring Sub Focus, Netsky, Friction & many more, and followed by a monstrous UKF stage takeover at Snowbombing, with line-up details coming shortly.

With acts including Run The Jewels, Chase & Status, Courteeners, Giggs, Blossoms, Novelist, Slaves, Dixon, Groove Armada, Cassy, MK, Eats Everything, Gorgon City, Monki, KiNK, Stefflon Don, Grandmaster Flash and many, many more already confirmed, this is undoubtedly Snowbombing’s most ambitious lineup to date.

THE SNOWBOMBING ROAD TRIP BRINGS THE FREAKADELIC CIRCUS TO THE MOUNTAINS!

Roll up, roll up! Hans Von Hofen's Freakadelic Circus invites bearded ladies, hair-raising acrobats, animal tricksters, mind-bending contortionists, devious ringmasters and all manner of circus freaks to join this year’s Snowbombing Road Trip. The travelling freak show of over 150 cars and 500 ‘car-noisseurs’ will hit the open road on the trip of a lifetime, journeying across four countries as they join the greatest two-day festival car rally across Europe. Expect ridiculous pit stops, a fantastically funny ferry ride, road-trip raves, a Saturday night stopover featuring The Dance-Off and Bongo's Bingo, all finishing with a hero's reception as the parade rolls into the Mayrhofen, just as the parties spring into action with appearances from acts including Novelist, Mistajam, Mike Skinner, Doorly, Waze & Odyssey, Huxley and Theo Kottis.

With a stunning journey across the beautiful landscapes of Europe, countless parties and an abundance of free food, drinks and madcap revelry, the Snowbombing Road Trip is a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. The adventure includes return ferry tickets, departure breakfast and send-off party, Pit Stop Party access on Saturday’s stop-over complete with complimentary food, drinks and guest DJ sets, guaranteed ticket to the Road Trip welcome parade, entry into the awards ceremony with welcome drinks as well and much, much more. THE ULTIMATE ALPINE MUSIC FESTIVAL

It’s not just the world-class music line-up that’s earned Snowbombing the title of the world’s No.1 music festival on snow... With igloo raves 6000ft above sea level, mountain top stages, enchanted forest parties, 650 km of unadulterated piste, an award-winning Snow Park, the infamous pool party, chairlift speed dating, paragliding, the Snolympics, Cable Car-aoke, Snow Limos, and much more, Snowbombing has redefined winter sports holidays and shown what the ultimate alpine music festival looks and sounds like.

Take a trip down memory lane as the Haus bands Noasis, Daft as Punk and Antarctic Monkeys play the classics in a homage to the 90s. Party with Peep Show’s Super Hans, strike a pose with House of Voga, hit the right notes at Bang Bang’s Disco Nights, and join winter Olympics hero Eddie The Eagle for an Official Film Screening and Q&A. With all this plus Bongo's Bingo, the Ping Pong Champs and lots more, there’s entertainment and laughs aplenty in Pat’s Alpine Haus of Fun.

Mayrhofen will also play host to The Leder-Hoedown, a traditional Austrian party, taking place in the centre of the village. The main high street will be taken over with pop up stages, food from local hero Hans The Butcher and music supplied by traditional oompah band Zell Brass, Snowbombing resident DJs and partners Bodo’s Schloss, Bodytonic, Drop The Mustard, Metropolis, Flux, Halo, Mixmag Allstars, Musika, Muzik, Reasons and Rompa’s Reggae Shack.

Stockport five-piece Blossoms also join the bill. A band undoubtedly on the rise, having started the year on the prestigious BBC Sound Of 2016 new music list, before shooting straight to the top of the UK Albums Chart with their debut self-titled album, they are sure to provide one of the standout sets of the festival. Snowbombing also welcomes Noisenik duo Slaves. Since the release of their Mercury Prize nominated major-label debut album “Are you Satisfied” the punk duo have been making serious waves with their rapid-fire vocals, garage riffs and raucous live shows.

Snowbombing unveils the first wave acts set to perform at Snowbombing 2017! The world’s greatest live acts and DJs, including Chase and Status, MK, Gorgon City, Hot Since 82, Eats Everything and Dusky are set to descend on the most unique festival setting imaginable as Snowbombing demonstrates once again why it’s the world’s No.1 festival on snow. With igloo raves, forest parties, luxurious spas, snow-yoga, roof-top hot tubs, paragliding and even snow limos, not to mention 650km of unadulterated piste at one of the finest ski resorts in the Alps, Snowbombing 2017 promises to be the most ambitious event to date.

Chase & Status are set to bring their acclaimed live show to Snowbombing 2017! There’s not many acts who can count Rihanna, Snoop Dogg, Nile Rogers and Pharrell Williams amongst their biggest fans, but the British duo have risen to become the UK’s most in-demand producers. In a career which has spanned more than a decade, they have sold out arenas the world over and collaborated with the likes of Novelist, Slaves, George the Poet, Bonkaz and Plan B. With a fourth studio album about to drop and a rumoured collaboration with Craig David on the cards, their show at Snowbombing is set to be unmissable!

The annual Snowbombing Street Party brings the entire village of Mayrhofen together with party revellers for Austria's largest fancy dress street party. This year, following an incredible season of events at Space Ibiza, Spain’s wildest and most flamboyant party purveyors Elrow are set to deliver a generous helping of Elrow magic to proceedings with Elrow presents: The Bronx Street Party. Expect the spectacular as Mayrhofen is transported to the iconic, cultural melting pot of ‘El Bronx’ at the heart of New York, home to Mafioso, Hip hop, Break Dance and Graffiti.

An internationally respected name in the worlds of R&B, Pop and Dance, Detroit producer MK first forged his career in the 90s, producing some of the decade’s most recognisable grooves. A prolific producer, he’s worked alongside chart-topping acts like Will Smith, Pitbull and Jay Z, remixed the likes of Lana Del Rey, Sam Smith and Haim and topped the UK charts with his remix of Storm Queen's 'Look Right Through’. In 2015 he destroyed the Snowbombing Arctic Disco with his distinctive vocal-chop sound and is sure to raise the roof once again as he makes his return to the mountains.

With multiple chart hits to their name, including the gold-selling ’Ready For Your Love’, Gorgon City’s mix of addictive basslines and big vocal hooks has kept them at the top of the scene since first emerging in 2013. Stepping up for a DJ set at SB17, the pair will relish the chance to delve more into the deeper, darker sounds of their underground roots. Hot Since 82 also stars, bringing a slice of the forward-thinking house music that has been drawing in the crowds at his His Knee Deep In Ibiza residency this summer.

Cast your mind back to Snowbombing 2015 when Eats Everything hosted a pop up party in local butcher shop ‘Hans the Butcher’, djing to a packed out crowd in the meat lovers paradise. The enigmatic party starter returns to Snowbombing in April for what is sure to be another meaty (and memorable!) performance. London duo Dusky, techno heavyweight Alan Fitzpatrick, Disciples, Skream and BBC Radio 1Xtra regular Toddla T will also be hitting the decks.

Reggae maestro David Rodigan is set to spice up Mayrhofen with his Caribbean flavours, whilst Cassy, Monki, Solardo and Richy Ahmed bring bass, house and techno beats galore. Snowbombing favourites Artwork, James Zabiela and My Nu Leng make a welcome return, along with Venezuelan duo Fur Coat, Barely Legal, Denis Sulta, Mella Dee, KC Lights and Sasse. With lots more still to be announced this year’s line-up is starting to take some serious shape.

But it’s not just the world-class music line-up that’s earned Snowbombing the title of the world’s No.1 music festival on snow... Snowbombing boasts 650km of unadulterated piste, Europe's steepest slope, the infamous Hinterlux Glacier, and an award-winning Snow Park. Adrenaline-junkies can even embark on a paragliding experience to get a birdseye view over the stunning Zillertal Valley. Snowbombing also excels in wellness, with a dazzling array of luxurious spas and relaxation activities. Take in the breathtaking mountain views from a roof-top hot tub, stretch out with snow-yoga or unwind in balmy Moroccan-themed pools, saunas and relaxation rooms after a long day on the slopes or an all-night party. Known for its creative vision and uncompromising music line-up, highlights from previous editions include The Prodigy, Jungle, Rudimental and Bastille performing in the middle of an enchanted forest, Craig David melting the ice with his TS5 festival debut, Skrillex, Carl Cox, Nina Kraviz and Idris Elba playing to a captive crowd inside the Arctic Disco igloo, Kasabian taking to the stage at sunset atop a snow-capped mountain, and world-class performances from acts including Skepta, The Chemical Brothers, Chase & Status, Sven Väth, Jamie Jones, Fatboy Slim and many more.

This year, Snowbombing returns with a brand new look, determined to give revelers the most unique festival experience yet, with a wealth of exciting new additions planned for the programme. The first wave of artists will be revealed very soon, so if dancing the night away in a picturesque alpine backdrop of snow-capped vistas, listening to some of the world’s most groundbreaking music acts, relaxing in a luxury spa and carving down a mountain of fresh powder appeals then book your place for what’s set to be the most incredible year yet. Prices start from just £249 for 5 nights’ accommodation and festival wristband.

“20 years ago when we started Snowbombing it was a very distant dream to one day do it in North America. Now, with the help of an iconic brand like Coors Light, that dream is to become a reality and we are so proud and excited to be able to launch Snowbombing, Canada in the superbly stunning Sun Peaks resort” says Gareth Cooper CEO of Broadwick Live. “Not only is this one of the best ski locations in Canada, but strangely it looks just like our Austrian home, Mayrhofen! We cannot wait to come and share our unique style of après ski and passion for music with the people of Canada.”

ABOUT SNOWBOMBING

Explain Snowbombing? Where to start... Mayrhofen, Austria, that’s where. Up a massive mountain 8,497 FT above ordinary! The finest ski resort in Europe, sprinkled with World Class acts, insane venues (think Igloo rave, enchanted forest party, tennis club turned super club). Blue runs, black runs, beer runs. More? Add Eddie The Eagle, throw in a pool party, a celebrity butcher named ‘Hans', whack a luxury jacuzzi on every other rooftop, stand back and survey the majesty. If it's good enough for Mr. Motivator, it’s good enough for you. As Fatboy Slim one eloquently put it: “there’s no shared experience in the world as mental as this”.
