Legendary House architect Robbie Rivera links with Pax Paloma for "Can We Go Back," dropping on the prestigious Magik Muzik label. This one’s pure gold for the discerning selector.
Rivera’s signature rhythmic dexterity is fully on display here, crafting a proper, chunky Progressive House groove. The track builds masterfully around an emotionally charged, earworm melody that fully justifies the title. It’s got that nostalgic feel, a journey back to the golden era of melodic club sounds, but produced with a crisp, contemporary edge. It’s deep, driving, and absolutely vibey.
Dimitris Kechagias Review: [review top="1"] [item value="10"]Robbie Rivera & Pax Paloma - Can We Go Back [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Robbie Rivera and Pax Paloma’s collaboration, “Can We Go Back,” is a vibrant modern Progressive House release on Magik Muzik that masterfully blends nostalgic melodic elements with contemporary production techniques. At 124 BPM, this track provides an ideal balance between energy and groove, making it versatile for both club sets and wellness environments. The track opens with a tight, punchy kick layered with a subtle rolling sub-bass, establishing a strong rhythmic foundation. Rivera’s rhythmic dexterity shines as percussive elements are carefully panned and EQ’ed to create a wide stereo image without overcrowding the mix. The bassline is sidechained to the kick, providing a dynamic pumping effect that enhances the driving groove. Melodically, “Can We Go Back” presents an emotionally engaging lead motif, supported by harmonic pads and airy atmospheric layers. These elements are processed with reverb and delay effects that gradually evolve throughout the arrangement, creating a sense of space and depth. The transitions and build-ups rely on filtered sweeps, risers, and tempo-synced delays, ensuring smooth energy shifts without abrupt cuts. From a mix engineering standpoint, the dynamic range is well-managed. The drops hit with clarity, and the high-end sparkle of the synths is balanced against the warm, weighty low end. Rivera’s use of saturation and subtle compression gives the track a polished, radio-ready finish while preserving the integrity of the transient detail. Research in music therapy and neuroscience suggests that listening to rhythmic and melodic music at moderate tempos can elevate mood, reduce stress, and increase focus (Thoma et al., 2013; de Witte et al., 2020). “Can We Go Back,” with its uplifting melodic hooks and steady rhythmic flow, can support wellness activities such as yoga, pilates, or mindful dance practices. Its 124 BPM tempo aligns well with moderate cardio exercises like cycling or aerobics, promoting endurance and a sense of flow (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). Furthermore, the track’s emotional resonance can trigger dopamine release and enhance motivation, making it suitable for both mental wellness playlists and fitness sessions. The nostalgic quality of the melody contributes to a sense of comfort and positive reminiscence, which is often linked to improved emotional states. Overall, “Can We Go Back” is not only a high-quality Progressive House track for DJs and music lovers but also a valuable addition to fitness and wellness soundtracks due to its scientifically supported positive effects on mental and physical states. #PureGold Love IT [/content]

A beacon of hope in sound – Emma Hewitt and Robbie Rivera deliver their poignant new track, 'Everlasting,' on Magik Muzik. This vocal melodic house & techno masterpiece speaks directly to the soul, offering comfort with lines like "Keep a light on those you love" and promising to be "the ground beneath your feet when you rise"
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Emma Hewitt's collaboration with the versatile house producer Robbie Rivera on "Everlasting" is a masterclass in progressive music production, seamlessly blending trance, melodic house, and techno elements into a singular, captivating auditory experience. Clocking in at 130 BPM, the track maintains an energetic yet emotive pace that carries its nearly seven-minute duration with ease. From a technical standpoint, "Everlasting" showcases meticulous attention to detail in its sound design and arrangement. The track opens with a deep, resonant bassline crafted using sidechain compression techniques to create that signature pulsing effect, allowing the low frequencies to breathe harmoniously with the kick drum. Rivera employs punchy, deep kicks layered with sub-bass enhancers to provide a solid rhythmic foundation, complemented by crisp hi-hats and meticulously EQ’d percussions that add dynamic texture without overwhelming the mix. The drum programming leans on a combination of analog drum machine samples and digital processing, utilizing transient shaping to sharpen the attack of the snares and claps, giving the groove a compelling drive. The thumping, syncopated drums, combined with subtle offbeat percussion, inject a hypnotic, dancefloor-ready energy. One of the standout features is the superb breakdown section, where Rivera introduces orchestral strings enriched with lush reverb and stereo imaging to create a vast, immersive soundscape. This segment transitions smoothly, employing automation on reverb tails and filter sweeps to build tension before the drop. The emotional piano chords, processed with gentle compression and a touch of delay, resonate with warmth, providing the perfect backdrop for Emma Hewitt’s ethereal vocals. Emma’s vocal delivery is pristine, enhanced through meticulous vocal processing. Techniques such as parallel compression, EQ sculpting, and spatial effects like plate reverb and stereo widening are used to ensure her voice cuts through the dense mix while maintaining its emotive essence. Vocal layering adds depth, with harmonies subtly introduced to accentuate key melodic moments. The track’s arrangement reflects Rivera’s deep understanding of progressive dynamics, with carefully crafted peaks and valleys that guide the listener through an emotive journey. The use of automation on synth filters, reverb decay times, and volume levels adds movement and evolution, preventing monotony and enhancing the overall emotional impact. "Everlasting" is a testament to both artists’ prowess, offering a rich tapestry of sounds that invites listeners to lose themselves completely. It’s a track that not only demands attention on the dancefloor but also rewards close, detailed listening, standing as a shining example of modern progressive production. #PureGold #LoveIT[/content]

Two legendary names from the stateside house scene, together on one track, for the first time, and bringing you a message of unfiltered positivity!
In the studio corner, we have Miami’s Robbie Rivera, he of ‘Funk-A-Tron’, ‘Girlfried’, ‘Back To Zero’ and ‘Rock The Disco’ acclaim, all coupled to his fabled Juicy Music sound. Over on the vocal side, there’s ‘The Minister Of Sound’ himself, Chicago’s Ron Carroll, whose gospel lick has graced everything from Barbara Tucker’s ‘I Get Lifted; French house classics including Kluster’s ‘My Love’, Superfunk’s ‘Lucky Star’ and his Bob Sinclar/Axwell collab, ‘What A Wonderful World’.
Together, they share ‘Love Message’ … and it’s one everyone needs to hear.
Robbie & Ron’s generational attunement could hardly be tighter, with both artists coming off the mid-‘90s release blocks within a year of one another. And better believe there are references, nods and throwbacks aplenty to that throughout ‘Love Message’.
Through the groove of his drums and percussive, shuffling hi-hats, Rivera brings the floor persuasion, while the heart’s delivered through Detroit strings, snares and orchestral stabs. On the mic meanwhile, Ron preaches his club sermon, urging those gathered to “seek love”, “run after love” … “chase it!” … “cos it’s the only thing that will make us one …”
Love is the message and this message is ‘Love Message’! Find it through all good sales and streaming channels here.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Robbie Rivera and Ron Carroll’s "Love Message" is a masterclass in blending nostalgic house vibes with modern production finesse. Their generational synergy, rooted in the mid-‘90s house explosion, manifests seamlessly in this euphoric anthem, both as a tribute to their roots and as a fresh, invigorating offering for today’s dance floors. The track thrives on its immaculate layering and dynamic range. Rivera’s signature drum programming forms the backbone, with shuffling hi-hats that create a percussive swing, infusing the track with relentless energy. The kick drum is punchy yet warm, providing a solid, driving force that’s quintessential for big-room house. Rivera’s meticulous EQ work ensures that each percussive element cuts through the mix without overpowering the melodic components. The melodic framework is anchored by lush Detroit-inspired strings, which add emotional depth and a sense of grandeur. These strings are complemented by crisp snares and sharp orchestral stabs, creating a sonic texture that pays homage to classic house while maintaining modern clarity. The orchestral stabs especially are treated with subtle reverb and delay, enhancing their spatial presence and giving the track an expansive feel. Ron Carroll’s vocal performance is the spiritual centerpiece. His commanding delivery, filled with soulful exhortations like "seek love," "run after love," and "chase it," is both a rallying cry and an emotional anchor. The vocals are processed with light reverb and delay, adding depth without sacrificing immediacy, ensuring they cut through the mix even in the most energetic segments. The mixing showcases Rivera’s seasoned ear. The bassline is warm and rounded, sitting perfectly beneath the kick, providing groove without muddiness. The stereo imaging is wide, with percussive elements panned tastefully to create a lively, immersive soundstage. The high frequencies sparkle without harshness, a testament to precise EQ and careful dynamic processing. Mastering-wise, the track is loud and impactful—ideal for club play—while retaining dynamic integrity. The transient details in the percussion remain sharp, preserving the track's dancefloor punch. At 130 BPM, "Love Message" is a high-energy, uplifting house track designed to unite clubbers under a banner of positivity. Its infectious grooves and hopeful, optimistic atmosphere echo the golden era of house while embracing contemporary production values. It may carry an old-school soul, but with its crystal-clear mix and polished mastering, this track is undeniably PureGold. We absolutely love it![/content]

1. Manufactured Superstars Remix
2.Manufactured Superstars Take You Deeper Remix
3.Vida Remix
4.Defreakz Remix
5.Original Mix
It's been a while since Robbie Rivera's 'Starlight' was released, but now the track is back in this 2014 remix package. Besides of course the original, Manufactured Superstars have delivered two remixes. The normal remix is a slamming electro house track, while their 'Take You Deeper Remix' has a more deep house feel to it. Dutchman Vida has transformed the original into an upbeat electro houser and fellow Dutch DJ duo Defreakz gave it their own innovative, fresh sound.
Robbie Rivera, one of the most highly acclaimed DJ's, producer and label owners in the scene today. His distinctive brand of sexy, pounding, dirty, electro-tinged house music, takes over dance floors all around the world and his productions receive support by other heavy weights in the industry. Robbie has also been remixing for the likes of Tiësto, Madonna, David Guetta, Kaskade, Deadmau5, Armin Van Buuren, and Roger Sanchez to name just a few. He and his wife Monica are the driving force behind the Juicy Beach and Juicy Ibiza parties. Together they found the Juicy Music label in 1998, releasing Latin-influenced electro and progressive house music. Besides all this Robbie hosts his own radioshow, The Juicy Show.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The worldwide famous icon Robbie Rivera has many mega anthems under his belt. His well known hit Starlight returns with brand new remixes. First remix comes from trusted hands of the ultimate party duo Manufactured Superstars. They are unstoppable and their remix is essential of any mainstage set on summer festivals. It starts all bouncy and banging with side chain effects that build up intensity and raise your adrenaline levels to the maximum. The first breakdown reveals the well known melodic riff that has that energetic rock edge to it. The epic synths build up the tension and the crowd starts clapping and waving their hands in the air. The drop is bass focused with aggressive raw macho power to make you jump as high as you can and feel like the real Starlights. The 2nd breakdown is the longer one with cool melodic element to bring us closer to our friends and start the dance together. Its what we call as crowd pleasing melody guaranteed. The climax is straight to its point with fat bass and ultra body shaking drums to keep the crowd asking for more of the same. Their second remix transforms the original into a deep house groovy melodic anthem with bubbly deep haunting basslines, techy chunky grooves and huge breakdown with crazy euphoric synths. Laiback and relaxing version that will hypnotise the crowd in the middle of the dancefloor! Defreakz Remix moves on the Swedish epic prog house direction with great electric guitar riffs in the breakdown and fantastic uplifting synths that lead the track to its full on hands in the air uplifting bouncy section and of course intense drive and breathtaking stop and goes effects that keep you interested and hooked to it. Vida remix moves on the massive festival house territory and on the sound that Hardwell is playing at the moment. Headbanging beats, aggressive basslines and fantastic euphoric synths to raise the hair from your back, give you shivers and raise your adrenaline level to its limits. Exceptional remixes that update this classic in the finest fashion ready made for the big summer festivals. Love iT
