Gabry Ponte, the GRAMMY©-nominated artist known worldwide for co-producing the globally acclaimed hit single ‘Blue (Da Ba Dee)’ as part of Eurodance act Eiffel 65, has teamed up with world renowned DJ and producer Robbie Rivera for a joint rework of his 2001 classic ‘Funk-A-Tron’. The original, released over twenty years ago, reached #14 in the UK Official Independent Singles Chart in 2002.
Gabry Ponte and Robbie Rivera’s exhilarating update of ‘Funk-A-Tron’ does not mess about. Firing on all cylinders with the heavy kick drums, fiery vocal, pulsating bass and iconic riff, this modern rework is set to do damage on the 2024 festival circuit.
"I've always had a special consideration for Robbie Rivera and his energetic and infectious style,” says Gabry Ponte. “Introducing a new perspective to the incredible sound of ‘Funk-A-Tron’ without losing the charm of the original was made possible by staying close to Robbie in the production process, which was a dream. I hope fans of the original love this version just as much!"
‘Hated On (Funkatron)’ is available now on Armada Music HERE.
