Blending punchy rhythms with uplifting melodic elements, “Dance Like You Mean It” delivers a vibrant and forward-thinking take on modern club music. Out now via CORE Records, ahead of Mija's CORE LA performance.

With "Dance Like You Mean It", Florian Picasso continues to shape his evolving sound, while Mija brings her unmistakable energy to the forefront of contemporary electronic music.

Florian Picasso is a forward thinking DJ and curator operating between music, art, and fashion. Adopted from Vietnam by Marina Picasso, he carved out his own path through music, using it as a means of defining an identity beyond expectation. Now, after more than a decade in the scene, he steps into a new era with a sound that merges dark basslines, hip hop textures, and retro inspired grooves into a raw yet emotionally charged club language.

Recent releases across labels such as Diynamic, FLUID, and RAW mark this shift, while performances at HÖR Berlin, Rex Club, and Pacha Ibiza underline his growing presence on the global stage. Through his Dekadance collective, he continues to foster a creative ecosystem rooted in inclusivity and experimentation.

Mija brings her own distinctive energy to “Dance Like You Mean It.” Now based in Berlin, she is known for her genre fluid approach spanning hardgroove, house, and techno. Her career reflects a commitment to experimentation and independence, consistently pushing the boundaries of club music. Recent projects highlight her playful yet refined take on groove driven sounds, combining nostalgic influences with contemporary intensity.

Speaking about the collaboration, Mija shares that she immediately connected with the track’s uplifting spirit and sense of togetherness.
"Florian and I met in Switzerland during the summer. He asked me to be on the song, and I loved what I first heard and was excited to be included. The song has all the bright energy of summer, dancing and food with friends… all things I associate with Florian." - Mija
This shared energy is at the heart of the record, making it both personal and universally relatable.

The release arrives alongside an exciting weekend for Mija, who is set to perform at the CORE LA festival. Her appearance further amplifies the momentum surrounding the single and brings its energy directly to the dancefloor.

“Dance Like You Mean It” stands as a celebration of connection, movement, and artistic synergy. With this release, CORE Records continues to champion forward thinking electronic music that resonates beyond the club.

2013 was a lodestar year for Revealed Recordings homegrown talent Dyro. Entering the DJ Mag Top 100 poll at #30 as 2013’s highest new entry and expanding his global presence to an all-time-high, the young talent takes to 2014 with all guns blazing. Where Beatport chart-topper “Never Say Goodbye” and recent big room offering “Go Down” set the Dutch trailblazer ahead of the crowd throughout the year, his follow-up to label hit “Leprechauns & Unicorns” maintains speculation that the young talent isn’t resting on any laurels just yet. A triplet-led bout of raw electro energy, “Black Smoke” sees his signature sound embedded into yet another impressive curve ball away from the industry status quo. Ready to unveil his Dyro Diaries online series and a streak of high-profile collaborative stints for the near future, “Black Smoke” is the epitome of Dyro’s unstoppable aura that is sure to make 2014 his most definitive year on the beat.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Revealed recordings is considered to be one of the hottest and must check record labels with every single track being extremely successful and absolutely gorgeous. The youthful and rioting labels never rests and brings to the clubs worldwide the fantastic new anthem by Dyro. You can easily guess from its title Dark Smoke that we deal here with something that is sharp and deadly so better be 100% sure when you will load your gun and shoot the dancefloor with it. Its definitely one of the most forward thinking tracks with  very strong full on headbanging booming and body shaking sounds. It starts with breaks intro and slowly builds into a bulldozer size track with heavy electro infused synthy lead that is impossible to keep you safe on the dancefloor! Nothing will be the same anymore after Dark Smoke appears on the dancefloor with electro, dubstep and rave infusions that we usually get from USA based artists like Skrillex. If you are weak hearted better play something more fluffy. Here we deal with a power bomb! Love iT

We Love Machines are a cool breeze. They are playful, naughty and will get you pumping like a machine that won’t stop you from jumping out of your comfort-zone to tear some shit up.

Winners of Swiss Live Talents Awards 2013 for Best Electro Act and Best Composition for Silver Eyes; DJ / Producers We Love Machines are the darlings of the club and dance floor scene in Switzerland. The duo, armed to the teeth with computers and vintage synthesizers, have been compared to Justice, Daft Punk and Boys Noize.

After releasing their debut album "Short Circuit" in 2011, We Love Machines have been busy doing official remixes for artist such as Is Tropical (Kitsuné), Housse de Racket (Kitsuné), IAMX and most recently for the up and coming LA based band In The Valley Below. As producers, they have written, produced, engineered and mixed for both indie and major label artists; reaching Top 100 in European Charts and Top 10 in UK Dance Charts.

The electro dance scenes' most hidden gem's, We Love Machines, have experimented with different sound landscapes in the last two years. The Silver Eyes EP is an explosive mix of various sounds and genres ranging from the classic We Love Machines Electro Banger Control, recently placed on a CBS TV-show "The Unforgettable", to the epic title track Silver Eyes. While staying true to their roots, the EP also highlights darker and more simplistic techno tracks such as Fubar and Tunnel. This is just the beginning of a new era for We Love Machines.

After the release of his artist album ‘First Law of Boon’ in February 2013, Jelle Boon is back with a new E.P. ‘First Law of Boon Remixed’. Tracks of the album are remixed into new dubstep and electro editions. First up are Re:Set and Disegual, who are well at home in the dubstep department creating their own versions of ‘Hitch A Ride’ and ‘Unleash the Whiner’. After that the E.P. takes a real electro turn with FetOo’s remix of ‘Epicenter’ and CromoTag featuring Sythrax’s remix of the title track. All the remixes are a great addition to the original album.

Jelle Boon started fiddling around with hiphop beats at the young age of 13, and quickly discovered house as well. His main style of choice turned out to be electro, a style in which he found everything he liked. Jelle spends all his spare time in the studio creating tracks with complex arrangements and adding all kinds of sounds to them such as the purr of a cat, classical music or just plain noise. His releases are often described as young, energetic and edgy with an undeniable Dutch icing on top of it, drawing the attention of records labels. His first single ‘My Depredation’ was released on Rub-A-Duck; starting the next chapter in Jelle Boon’s young career. After the single came the Junior Master Chef E.P., logically followed by his very own artist album ‘First Law of Boon’ in February of 2013. ‘First Law of Boon’ contained 15 rock solid tracks with a sound somewhere between Dutch House, electro and even a variety of dubstep cuts. The latest E.P. with remixes of tracks featured on his album proves Jelle Boon’s music is definitely out there!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Not many labels achieved what Rub A Duck did. Within Black Hole recordings well known for its trance and progressive output manage to establish a bass music focuses label with many success stories in its back catalogue. One of those success stories is Jelle Boon who attracted attention with his First Law Of Boon album. Now Rub A Duck just before the end of 2013 presents 3 magnificent remixes that any bass music fan should own and if you dj as well you must drop without hesitation cause the crowds reaction are guaranteed to be outrageous. On Hitch A Ride (featuring Alisa Fedele) the remix is provided by Re:Set who service a melancholic cinematic moody dark dubstep version to trip out and free your senses. It actually sounds like coming from a  film soundtrack. On Unleash The Whiner the Disegual Remix is a playful energetic dubstep version with plenty of creativity and experimentation with indie rock infusions, cinematic strings, heavy bass distortion and action packed arrangement that makes you feel energised and ready to go for skiing at the highest mountain rope. FetOo’s remix of ‘Epicenter is bringing the track to the prime time of your electro house / dirty dutch / nu rave style sets. Powerpacked with electrified basslines, pumping beats and melodic breakdowns will smash mainstage festival sets. Lastly CromoTag featuring Sythrax’s remix on  First Law Of Boon is a freaked out electro house meets dubstep meets nu rave style that combines the more melodic moments with the heavy pressure cooker sequences to get the crowd jumping wild. 4 exquisite remixes not to be missed. Love IT
