Release number 123 brings a bumper pack of Activa related goodies - the Collabs & Bits EP.

To kick things off we have Delta, a track from Tom Bro, who has seen releases on the likes of Pure Trance, which was an instant signing. Hearing the potential and an underlying quality to be realised, label boss Activa got stuck into the production, adding multiple elements to bring out a different vision of the track.

Next up is another collab, this time with the formidable Luke Terry which was first aired at VII in Croatia in its early form. Since then, a few tweaks have been done to really give the track that classic Max Graham / Hope Recordings vibe from the early 00’s.

Lakota gives us number 3 of this 4 tracker - a track that sits early in a night, understated but does the job perfectly to warm people into a groove. A big bassline style riff countering airy vocals and pads makes this a solid early night progressive trancer.

Last but not least is a Deeper take on Outlander, the first track from the Tri-Series vinyl releases from back in 2020, by none other than Mac & Monday. In his unmistakable style, Norbert carves out a groove laden subtle and progressive monster to lose yourself to.

2. Activa & Luke Terry - Pandemonium (Extended Mix)
3. Activa - Lakota (Extended Mix)
4. Activa - Outlander (Mac & Monday Extended Remix)

It’s always a pleasure to see a new Mac & Monday release - the Hungarian artist is as synonymous with Borderline in some circles, as Activa himself and not without warrant, having had a number of the labels most successful releases.

Norbert returns with Kara’s Theme, an 11 minute melodic progressive monster that also comes in a slightly cut down club edit for those that like their riffs to kick in!

Something for everyone.

[item value="10"]Mac & Monday - Kara's Theme  [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Trance is the style of music that can last for longer than the usual 3min extended versions. Mac & Monday produces a true trancer with nearly 12 minutes of 134 proglifting trancer with chunky metallic basslines, thumping drums and stunning kicks with smooth dreamy synths and cinematic strings leading in the breakdown where the superb synthy hook is left to the open unattended to do some damage to drive the crowd to their epic heights. Trance is meant to be music for a journey with ups and down and with changes of melancholic moods to the more euphoric uplifting and in a such a way brings the catharsis that any listener asks for to feel better at the end of its sonic ride.  Kara's Theme is exactly that type of trance beauty that incorporates variety of themes to bring hypnosis and sense of being transferred to another place and dimension! #PureGold Love IT [/content]
