[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Fusing classic Afro elements with cutting-edge Afro tech sounds and soul-stirring lyrics, ‘So High’ stands as a high-magnitude collaboration between Andrea Oliva, Arodes, and Antâgonite. Designed with the club scene in mind, this track thrives on an electrifying soundscape that excels as a peak-time dancefloor anthem. At 124 BPM, the track embodies the energetic pulse characteristic of afro tech house. The rhythmic foundation is built upon intricately layered percussive elements, featuring traditional African drums seamlessly blended with crisp, modern electronic beats. This fusion not only pays homage to Afro roots but also propels the genre into contemporary spaces with a relentless energy that escalates throughout the track. The production showcases meticulous attention to detail. Dynamic synth stabs and atmospheric pads ebb and flow, creating a sense of movement and progression. The bassline is deep yet groovy, providing a solid backbone that drives the momentum forward. Clever use of effects—such as reverb tails, delay patterns, and subtle automation—enhances the spatial depth, making it an immersive auditory experience. Vocally, ‘So High’ shines with compelling performances that are both emotive and rhythmically engaging. [content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]A triple-Dutch offering on Unreleased Records, ‘NRD’ marks Dennis Louvra's second record on the label, this time collaborating with Giattino and MinimalObi. This track is finely crafted for the club environment, leveraging a commanding groove intertwined with epic chord progressions to captivate late-night audiences. Diving into the technical aspects, ‘NRD’ operates at a steady 120 BPM, striking a balance between energetic and hypnotic. The production showcases a meticulous layering of percussive elements, with crisp hi-hats providing rhythmic precision, complemented by a deep, rolling bassline that anchors the track’s groove. The kick drum is punchy yet warm, processed with subtle compression to maintain consistency across dynamic shifts. The chord structures are particularly noteworthy, utilizing lush pads and atmospheric synths that evolve throughout the track. These are crafted with analog synthesizers, adding warmth and depth, while digital processing ensures clarity and spatial precision. The reverb and delay effects are tastefully applied, creating an expansive soundscape without overwhelming the core rhythmic elements. In terms of production techniques, sidechain compression is employed effectively to make space for the kick drum, enhancing the track’s pulsating feel. Automation is used dynamically, especially in filter sweeps and modulation effects, to maintain listener interest and build tension. ‘NRD’ exemplifies a sophisticated blend of traditional house music elements with modern production flair, making it a standout track designed to resonate on the dance floor and beyond. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

[item value="10"]Max Menaged & matteomie - Drift Away [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Unreleased introduces "Drift Away," an outstanding addition to the afrohouse genre, meticulously crafted to captivate both the casual listener and the discerning audiophile. Operating at a smooth 122 BPM, this track is a masterclass in blending traditional and contemporary soundscapes, demonstrating profound attention to technical detail and production finesse. The production process of "Drift Away" showcases an intricate layering technique that merges organic and synthesized elements seamlessly. The foundation is laid with tribal percussion—a staple in afrohouse—crafted using high-fidelity samples and live-recorded congas and bongos to retain an authentic, earthy texture. This rhythmic backbone is complemented by dynamically programmed thumping kicks, precisely EQ’d to maintain punch without overpowering the mix. Bubbly basslines, characterized by their warm, analog synth origins, provide a grooving undertone. These basslines are likely processed through sidechain compression, creating that signature pulsing effect that breathes life into the track. The harmonic framework is enriched with dark, moody synth pads, layered with cinematic, otherworldly strings that add depth and evoke a sense of vast, open spaces—perfect for both introspective listening and expansive dancefloor experiences. Vocal elements are treated with a blend of reverb and delay, creating an indie dance soulful hook that floats above the instrumental mix, adding an emotive human touch. The vocal processing employs subtle pitch modulation and harmonic layering to enhance its ethereal quality without detracting from its raw expressiveness. The atmospheric quality of "Drift Away" is achieved through meticulous spatial mixing techniques. Reverb algorithms are carefully selected to simulate both intimate and expansive environments, while stereo imaging tools are used to position elements across the soundstage, giving the listener a three-dimensional auditory experience. In conclusion, "Drift Away" is more than just an afrohouse anthem; it is a therapeutic journey crafted through expert production techniques. Its ability to transport listeners—whether meditating solo or dancing under the rising sun at a summer club—cements its status as #PureGold. #LoveIT[/content]

Armada Music, the world’s leading independent dance music label, is thrilled to announce a long-term partnership with DJ and producer Arodes, marking the next phase for his newly-founded label, Unreleased. This exciting collaboration kicks off with the release of Arodes' first track under the new alliance, titled ‘Use Somebody’, a reimagination of the famous 2008 hit by Kings of Leon. This partnership marks a significant step in Arodes’ journey with Armada Music, following his previous work with the label, including a remix of Jan Blomqvist’s ‘Destination Lost'.

As part of this collaboration, Armada Music will work closely with Arodes on A&R, label management, distribution, and the promotion and marketing of upcoming releases on Unreleased. Leveraging Armada’s global reach and over two decades of experience in the dance music industry, this joint venture is set to amplify Unreleased’s impact on the dance music scene.
“Joining forces with Armada Music through our Unreleased Records joint venture is an exciting milestone,” said Arodes. “This partnership opens up new creative possibilities and will help us bring cutting-edge music to a broader audience. I’m eager to explore the opportunities this collaboration will bring and share the incredible projects we have in store.
Marking the start of the partnership, Arodes teams up with Redd for the track ‘Use Somebody’, a fresh take of the 2008 hit by Kings of Leon. This reimagination seamlessly blends the iconic vocals from the original with delicate piano melodies and an Afro house-inspired beat, creating a perfect balance of familiarity and dance floor energy. Already played by the likes of Adriatique, John Summit, Vintage Culture, Gordo, and Andrea Oliva, and having wowed crowds at Burning Man, Ushuaïa, Hï Ibiza, and Pacha Ibiza, ‘Use Somebody’ is poised to dominate tracklists.

“Reworking ‘Use Somebody’ was an exciting challenge,” said Arodes. “The goal was to bring a complete new vibe from an electronic music perspective into the track while preserving its core emotion. By experimenting with different sounds and reimagining the arrangement, I aimed to create a version that resonates with both new listeners and fans of the original. I’m really proud of the outcome.”

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Arodes x Redd collaborate to recreate the famous pop hit Use Somebody into a very danceable feel good anthemic afrohouse version. Bubbly pulsating basslines, tribal percussion, warm kicks and great singalong vocals. Warm melodies, laid back atmosphere, sunkissed synths and even trancy infusions make this track into one of these jewels that will be played many times on dancefloors and radio. Majestic production values and cinematic sound design that attracts the ear and dominate the loudspeakers straight away. #PureGold Love iT[/content]
