ADE in general ánd ADE Global Sessions Mumbai feature an extensive series of panels and workshops all based around the theme of How to Kickstart Your Career. So get your demos ready and bring your best tracks along to the event.

ADE is as much about the next generation of producers and DJs as it is about the existing musical hierarchy. The event offers multiple opportunities to hear the hard-won experience of established talent, and find the best ways to raise your game. Among the opportunities to meet and benefit from the experience of seasoned professionals are the classic, long-running ADE panels, Demolition and Demopitch.

Demolition Panel / Demopitch
Demolition is the legendary panel that typically brings ADE’s Saturday sessions (ADE Next) to a close. It is a celebration of what makes music great, characterised by the insight and deep knowledge of the celebrity panelists, as well as raw enthusiasm from the young producers whose music is suddenly thrust into the spotlight. Demopitch offers the unique opportunity of having a professional all to yourself for a 15 minute, one-on-one session. You can expect to get advice and tips on advancing your career, how to target the right people, and some pointers as to how to optimise your sound and production talents.

MusicTalks
On top of that there is a whole series of Artist MusicTalks where we go deep into what makes and sustains a career featuring Sandro Silva (NL), Tommie Sunshine (US), and Chocolate Puma (NL) with more names to be announced very soon. And we all know how important social media is to artists so we have brought together several experts in this field including Shaan, Joshi, Sartek, who will be giving up some of their secrets and revealing which platforms they prefer, the reasons why they prefer them and which platforms are best for specific outreach campaigns or for certain tribes and sub-groups.

Building an international career
There will also be a series of highly personal talks on Building an International Career with a selection of true industry giants including Brandon Frankel from Paradigm Talent Agency (formerly The Windish Agency), and Luis Estrada of Universal Music. They will drawing on their vast experience in order to lay out the realities and challenges of establishing and maintaining an international career, as well as offering examples of acts they have worked with and how they helped them navigate the path to success and beyond. We are also running a series of production masterclasses, workshops with Pioneer, Native Instrumtens and Ableton demonstrating their latest gear and innovations, an RBMA Modular workshop, and a DJ Performance masterclass from Point Blank Music School.

Jason Swamy, creative director of the Do What You Love agency, and DJ Shaan will be sharing their expertise at ADE Global Sessions Mumbai.

After multiple announcements about the participation of Riyaaz Amlani, Disco Donnie Estopinal, Alda Agency’s Dennis de Bruin, Jaspar Goggins of Mad Decent, journalist Rajeev Masand and DJ duo Lost Stories, two new speakers have been added to the line-up for ADE Global Sessions Mumbai (February 23-25).

Party Like It’s 2027!
Jason Swamy, creative director of the Do What You Love agency, will be taking part in Party Like It’s 2027! - Electronic Music Festivals in the Future. The panel will feature a lively debate about the future of the thriving but over-subscribed electronic music festival market, with Swamy helping to answer key questions including what the most important international developments for electronic music festivals are, and what the best opportunities are for growth and innovation. Ultimately he and his fellow panelists will be attempting to describe how they envision the festival market in 2027 and what that means in terms of their current and future strategies.

Swamy has over 18 years of entrepreneurial experience in electronic music. He is best known as co-founder and creative director of Further Future, a technology-driven, lifestyle festival, and as a founding member and music & wellness director of cult brand Robot Heart. He is also a founding member and creative director of Wonderfruit, Asia’s first family-friendly sustainable lifestyle festival, and of Do What You Love, an experience, design and talent booking agency based in Hong Kong.

How to Build Your Brand as an Artist
DJ Shaan is someone who already made his mark in the media, when, at the tender age of 15, he became the youngest DJ to play at Goa’s Sunburn Festival, and three years later he was also the first Indian DJ to be part of the Tomorrowland line-up. Apart from being a precocious talent behind the decks, he is also highly adept at using social media to communicate with his fans and to build his fan base. And at the ADE Global Sessions Mumbai panel How to Build Your Brand as an Artist on Social Media, he’ll be sharing that expertise. Shaan will be talking about how he uses different platforms for different audiences and how he adapts his messaging accordingly in order to maximise impact and reach.

Mixcloud co-founder Nikhil Shah, Magnetic Fields’ Munbir Chawla and former ID&T programmer Olga Zegers will be sharing their experiences at ADE Global Sessions Mumbai.

Following our previous announcement about Jason Swamy taking part in the panel Party Like It’s 2027! - Electronic Music Festivals in the Future, we can now confirm that he will joined by Magnetic Fields’ co-founder Munbir Chawla (IN). With his wife Sarah, Chawla has grown the event into one of the top 50 music festivals in the world. Joining him and Jason Swamy will be festival programmer Olga Zegers (NL).

Zegers has been working in the music industry in some form for over 25 years starting as a booking agent and programming international festivals. Over the last 17 years she was responsible for the line-ups of a variety of festivals and events including Mysteryland, Sensation, Welcome To The Future and many more whilst working at ID&T.

More names will be announced very soon for this inspired and inspiring debate on the electronic music festival market. The panel will be covering what the most important international developments are for festivals and what the best opportunities are for growth and innovation, as well as examining how the panelists envision the festival market in 2027 and the ways in which this will impact their current and future strategies.

Nikhil Shah (GB) is the co-founder of online radio platform Mixcloud. Over the past nine years he has played a key role in growing the company from a couple of people in a warehouse in Wembley, into the world's biggest community of DJs and music curators, reaching 15 million people per month. That’s already impressive, but the most remarkable part of this story is that all that was done with no funding! Shah will be recounting the history of the company and why he chose not to accept outside financial support, alongside sharing the business and creative lessons he has learnt along the way.

Riyaaz Amlani, CEO and managing director of the Impresario group, and DDP founder and CEO James ‘Disco Donnie’ Estopinal will be present at the second edition of ADE's global touring platform.

Following a sold-out inaugural event last year, the second edition of Global Sessions Mumbai, organised in association with GuestList4Good, takes place February 23-25 (Early Bird tickets/ also accessible for 2017 ADE Pass holders) and will feature keynote interviews with Riyaaz Amlani, CEO and managing director of the Impresario group, and DDP founder and CEO James ‘Disco Donnie’ Estopinal.

The ADE Global Sessions will once again focus on connecting the booming Indian and Asian electronic scenes with the rest of the world through a three-day event to be held in Mumbai. The daytime schedule features interactive MusicTalks with top artists, exclusive industry discussions, networking and speed dating sessions, strategy meetings, master classes covering the key issues of both the local scene as well as its current and future partnerships with both regional and international players.

Keynote interviews with outstanding individuals form the core of the event, with the aim of sharing the benefits of accumulated experience in both the wider workings of the music industry and the power and relevance of entrepreneurial drive. Both Amlani and Estopinal exemplify those core values.

Key factor in growing popularity of electronic music in India
Riyaaz Amlani is one of the most recognised restaurateurs in India today, but more importantly for his appearance at Global Sessions Mumbai, he is also the driving force behind the Social chain of restaurant/bar/club spaces which regularly host DJ sessions and are widely seen as a key factor in driving the growing popularity of electronic music in India. Starting out as a young, passionate entrepreneur, he was initially behind the success of Impresario, a company which started with a single restaurant and that has now become a multi-brand empire.  Over the last decade, he has created a number of new concepts and earned the admiration and respect of the Indian hospitality industry. A pioneer in his field, Amlani is famous for his uncanny ability to provide one-of-a-kind experiences to customers through innovation.

One of the godfathers of the US' electronic dance scene
James ‘Disco Donnie’ Estopinal (photo) is the founder of DDP and is considered to be one of the godfathers of the US’ electronic dance scene. From his early days in the 1990s New Orleans dance scene, Disco Donnie coupled eccentricity with ingenuity to create elaborately themed parties that charmed patrons, garnered an international following, and unwittingly became a catalyst for a national debate over the First Amendment right to expression.

From 2008-2012, Estopinal partnered with Pasquale Rotella, CEO of Insomniac Events, to strategically develop the Insomniac brand throughout the US. The partnership produced hundreds of club shows annually in nearly 100 local markets throughout the US, helping make Insomniac a household name. In 2017, Estopinal joined LIVESTYLE Entertainment, whose current portfolio includes Disco Donnie Presents, React, Life in Color, ID&T (Tomorrowland, Sensation, TomorrowWorld), Beatport.com, Electric Zoo, Stereosonic, and more.
