A pairing that fans of both artists have been hoping for is finally here as Joris Voorn and YOTTO team up on ‘Seventeen,’ featuring vocals from Harry McVeigh of UK rock band, White Lies. Ever since their iconic B2B at Tomorrowland 2024, Joris and YOTTO have been craving to release a track that captures their vibrant chemistry. But it wasn’t until Joris discovered the evocative vocals of the frontman of the legendary UK band that the perfect project came to life.
Following his remix of Eelke Kleijn’s 'Transmission' and the atmospheric Tom Walker collab 'Burn', Joris recently took the stage at Tomorrowland Winter and Miami Music Week, solidifying his status as a global tastemaker. Riding on a high wave, he now delivers a strong contender for 2025’s song of the summer. 'Seventeen' brings together three musical titans in a melodic house track, combining soaring chord progressions with nostalgic, emotionally driven vocals that speak to the highs and lows of adolescence. With its emotional depth and festival-ready energy, ‘Seventeen’ is set to become a standout song across parties all through the summer.
Dimitris Kechagias Review: [review top="1"] [item value="10"]Joris Voorn x YOTTO x White Lies - Seventeen[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]JJoris Voorn and YOTTO’s collaboration on ‘Seventeen,’ featuring the evocative vocals of Harry McVeigh from UK rock band White Lies, is a masterclass in deep melodic house production. This track elegantly fuses emotion-laden melodies with meticulous technical craftsmanship, showcasing the duo’s prowess in electronic music production. At the core of ‘Seventeen’ lies its pulsating 126 BPM tempo, a sweet spot for melodic house that allows both dynamic energy and emotional depth. The track opens with warm, cinematic strings layered over subtle ambient textures, setting a dreamy and immersive tone. This atmospheric introduction gradually builds, guided by playful percussive elements and crisp hi-hats that introduce a rhythmic complexity without overwhelming the melodic narrative. The foundation of ‘Seventeen’ is its deep, resonant bassline—crafted with precision to provide a rolling groove that seamlessly interlocks with thumping kick drums. These kicks are carefully side-chained with the bass to create that quintessential pumping effect, a hallmark of well-produced house music. The use of analog synths adds warmth and character, with soaring chord progressions that rise and fall, emulating the emotional highs and lows that the track lyrically explores. Production-wise, the track benefits from layered synthesis techniques, where multiple synth patches are stacked to create rich, textured harmonies. The melodic elements are complemented by live-recorded guitar licks, which are processed with reverb and slight delay effects to enhance their spatial presence, giving the track a live, organic feel amidst its electronic framework. The standout feature, however, is Harry McVeigh’s vocal performance. His emotionally charged delivery is treated with subtle reverb and delay tails, ensuring clarity while blending seamlessly into the mix. Vocal chops and harmonies are skillfully woven throughout the track, adding depth without detracting from the main vocal line. Mixing techniques employed in ‘Seventeen’ emphasize clarity and balance. The dynamic range is carefully managed, with tasteful compression applied to maintain energy while preserving the natural dynamics of each element. The final mastering process polishes the track, enhancing its loudness for club play without sacrificing the intricate details that make it equally captivating on headphones or radio. With its blend of technical sophistication and emotional resonance, ‘Seventeen’ is more than just a summer anthem—it’s an exemplar of modern melodic house production, poised to resonate with audiences on dance floors and airwaves alike. #PurePerfection #LoveiT[/content]

About YOTTO
YOTTO enjoys walks in the park, nights by the fire, and deadpan stares across dinner tables—oh, and producing genre-blurring electronic music. With five ‘Essential New Tune’ nods from Pete Tong and two ‘Hottest Record in the World’ picks from Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1, his tracks have earned support from a diverse range of DJs including Sasha, Laurent Garnier, Jamie Jones, Kölsch, and Adriatique. His remix credits span Gorillaz, Röyksopp, and Coldplay, showcasing his dynamic studio range. On stage, Yotto is a commanding presence, equally comfortable playing alongside icons like Sven Väth and Eric Prydz as he is going B2B with underground heroes at afterparties. In 2017, he kicked off the year with a release on Joris Voorn’s Green label and followed it with high-profile remixes and a 5-track EP on Anjunadeep, cementing his place as one of the scene’s most versatile and charismatic artists.
About White Lies
Yotto likes walks in the park, nights by the fire, and deadpan stares across dinner tables. He also likes to produce electronic music. He’s had 5 ‘Essential New Tune’ nods from Pete Tong, and 2 ‘Hottest Record In the World’ selections on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show. DJ support has proved devastatingly eclectic, ranging from Sasha, Laurent Garnier, Jamie Jones, Kölsch, Patrice Baumel and Adriatique. His multifarious remix list includes Gorillaz, Röyksopp and Coldplay. He also boasts a vibrant vocabulary.
On the live side, Yotto is a dazzling and dynamic presence behind the decks, equally at home sharing the bill with legends like Sven Väth, Eric Prydz and Dixon to as he is going b2b with the world’s far-flung local selectors at the afterparty. Yotto started out the year with a highly-anticipated release on Joris Voorn’s Green Records, while the fall of 2017 will see remixes of Gorillaz and Christian Löffler, along with a 5-track EP on Anjunadeep.
Did you hear about the restaurant on the moon? I heard the food was good but it had no atmosphere.
We are thrilled to welcome TH;EN to Odd One Out, with his forthcoming remix to Yotto's 'Meadow'. A staple in the progressive and melodic house scene, TH;EN has seen recent support from Solomun, Adriatique, Kevin de Vries, and many more.
Enjoy! Out 15th of June 2023

Anjunadeep, the label that introduced Lane 8, Dusky, Yotto, Cubicolor, Ben Böhmer and Eli & Fur to the world, have announced a new compilation series: ‘Reflections’. Marking the label’s 500th release, ‘Reflections Vol. 1’ is a collection of downtempo and ambient electronica from label stars like Yotto and Lane 8, breakout talent like Qrion and Nox Vahn and new faces like PBSR, Kitput and Vár Sofandi.
Label boss James Grant explains: “electronica and chillout were what first got me into electronic music and so it’s a very natural evolution for Anjunadeep to be expanding further in that direction via this new series.”
The compilation’s first single, 'It's All Over’, is from Sapporo-born, San Francisco-based producer Qrion. Touted as one of the world’s best up-and-coming artists by Mixmag, she’s landed major support slots for the likes of deadmau5, Tourist, and Porter Robinson. An eclectic selector and producer, ambient music has always been one of her passions. ‘It’s All Over’ is out now.
The album's second single comes courtesy of Anjunadeep legend Yotto with the piano led melodies of ‘Maggio’. Since making his debut on the label in 2015, Yotto has garnered a global following and resounding tastemaker backing; with steady support from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, Annie Mac and Danny Howard, while his 2018 debut album ‘Hyperfall’ reached #1 on Billboard’s Dance Album Chart, and saw him tour the world and play at Coachella. Since then Yotto has established his own label, Odd One Out, putting out a string of club cuts supported by the likes of Tale Of Us, Artbat and Eric Prydz.
Ahead of the full album release comes the compilation’s third and final single, captivating collaborative cut ‘Ready’ from Swedish producer and classically trained musician boerd and British multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Rondo Mo. Independently, both musicians have continued to turn heads in recent years with their own artist projects, with the likes of Mixmag, Billboard and BBC Radio 1’s Phil Taggart singing their praises, and now boerd and Rondo Mo join forces for their debut collaboration. Born out of a studio session one afternoon upon their first ever meeting in London at the close of 2019, ‘Ready’ sees the pair craft a perfectly dream-like vocal led production; leading with hypnotic Fender Rhodes chords woven between Rondo Mo’s velvet topline melodies.
‘Reflections Vol. 1’ also features an exclusive, piano-led piece from Yotto (‘Maggio’), the long-awaited full release of two Anjunadeep rarities (Lane 8’s ‘Apes & Children’ and Croquet Club’s ‘Slow Mo’) and label debuts from Germany’s Kitput, London’s PBSR and Finland’s Vár Sofandi.
‘Reflections Vol. 1’ is also available on a limited run of 500 12” vinyl.
In September last year, Finnish electronic artist Yotto showed his flair for production when he released his first studio album 'Hyperfall'. Received with much critical acclaim, Resident Advisor described the album as "brassy house with bold, proggy strokes." and DJ Mag noted that it “stands above much of the melodic house and techno flooding clubs right now.” Yotto now presents a set of fresh remixes taken from his ‘Hyperfall’ LP. Inviting a band of international electronic producers to add their unique touch new remixes come from Berlin figurehead Anja Schneider, fellow German up-and-comer Kevin De Vries, French talent, Chloé and newcomer Sønin.
Introducing a generation of Berliners to electronic music as a radio broadcaster, Anja Schneider continues to be one of the most influential DJs in Europe. As a label boss, creative force and mentor, her music is known for its impactful clout and her remix of Yotto’s ‘Hear Me Out’ delivers just that with a thumping acid bassline. Also reworking ‘Hear Me Out’ is young and upcoming producer Kevin De Vries. Having released labels such as Drumcode, Cocoon and Tale of Us’ Afterlife, De Vries puts his own trance-inspired techno sound on the well-loved original.
Another lady with a taste that goes beyond club and techno is composer-come-producer, Chloé. As she continues to tell stories through her music, in her rework of ‘Kantsu’ she challenges herself to blend sounds that create subtle contrasts, this time injecting a nu-disco feel into Yotto’s signature melodic original. Meanwhile, after previously collaborating with Yotto on ‘Hear Me Out’, Sønin takes on ‘The One You Left Behind’, bringing a fresh, euphoric sound with his progressive trance spin.
Alongside new remixes, previously released retakes on Yotto’s ‘Turn It Around’ appear from Hummage label-heads and production duo, Monkey Safari and Berlin-based, Reude Hagelstein. Whilst the German duo take the track to darker realms, Hagelstein applies an immediate heavy bass line and elongated bell-chimes to his suspense filled version.
Celebrating the release of his debut album last year, Yotto made yet another debut in the iconic main room of London’s fabric on his Hyperfall World Tour. Featuring a host of exclusive new material from the man himself and others, Yotto now releases the full live recording of his special night at fabric. Having tested Hagelstein’s ‘Turn It Around’ Remix on the esteemed fabric dancefloor expect to hear the bass-heavy rework among others.

Yotto’s ‘Hyperfall’ Remixes is OUT NOW Via Anjunadeep
‘The One You Left Behind (Yotto's Mirage Mix)' sees the Finnish producer revisit the first single off of his debut album ‘Hyperfall’. This rework sees Yotto thread Vök's velvet vocals in and out of a dark stuttering bassline, culminating in a heavy progressive piece distinct from the original.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Yotto feat. Vök beauty The One You Left Behind gets the massive Yotto's Mirage Mix treatment ready to receive many club plays worldwide. Once again the well established talent from Finland proves what he is capable to do as he stretches his album track into an 8 minutes sonic odyssey of deep bubbly basslines, rolling driving drums, warm synthy layers and cinematic strings while the haunting vocals will stay in your brain forever reminding you those you have left behind when you decided to abandon them in order to pursue your dreams. Another dancefloor favourite that you wish to last for 24hrs! 8 minutes with Yotto is never enough! #PureGold Love IT [/content]
Firm Anjunadeep favourite, Yotto, has delivered an eclectic rework of 1996 B.B.E classic ‘Seven Days and One Week’, as Positiva Records continue their series of 25th anniversary remixes by revisiting one of the most successful tracks in the label’s back-catalogue.
A Finnish DJ and producer, who made his BBC Radio 1 essential mix debut on Pete Tong’s show this year, Yotto is best known for his work with both Above & Beyond’s iconic Anjuna label and Joris Voorn’s ‘Green’ imprint. Adding his signature sound to the track, the Finn utilises B.B.E’s notorious hook and sprinkles a slice of his melodic style giving the rework a 2018 twist.
The original hit number #3 in the UK charts back in 1996 thanks to techno trio B.B.E, made up of Italian producers Bruno Sanchioni, Bruno Quartier, and French artist Emmanuel Top. With Yotto set to release his debut album ‘Hyperfall’ on 7th September, the DJ and producer has already left a footprint across the industry, gaining support from the likes of Kolsch, Solomun, Eric Prydz and Danny Howard en route to scoring 5 ‘Essential New Tunes’ and 3 ‘Hottest Records’ on BBC Radio 1.
The Yotto remix is part of Positiva Records’ 25 year celebrations, having spent the past quarter of a century at the summit of dance music. Showcasing the occasion with a series of one-off parties and special releases throughout 2018, they recently marked the landmark in celebratory style with two of their tracks - Jonas Blue’s ‘Rise’, and Tiesto’s ‘Jackie Chan’ - featuring simultaneously in the Top #5 Official UK Charts.
Released on Friday 21st September, the Yotto remix of ‘Seven Days and One Week’ precedes the label’s forthcoming Positiva 25 compilation, out on 5th October.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]B.B.E. seminal trance anthem Seven Days and One Week is remixed in perfection by Yotto who manages to combine successfully his deep atmospheric progressive house sound with the magnificent trancy elements like the cool synthesizer driving hi-nrg melody along with heavenly gated voices and the well known female vocal sample that is characteristic of this great tune. The result is a wonderful update that manages to keep the vibe and intentions of the original just slower and in a more prog house direction. Spacey and spicy is definitely the moment to awake memories and relive those trance days in a more futuristic direction. #PureGold Love IT [/content]
Finnish DJ and producer Otto Yliperttula, aka Yotto, is a dance music star in the making.
Having debuted on Anjunadeep in early 2015, he quickly caught the ear of BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong and Annie Mac, since then picking up 5 ‘Essential New Tunes’ and 3 ‘Hottest Records In The World’, along with over 40 million streams and DJ support from the likes of Solomun, Jamie Jones, Patrice Baumel, Eric Prydz, Adriatique and Joris Voorn, who signed Yotto to his renowned Green label.
With such a bevy of support, Yotto is primed to join the big leagues with the release of his debut album, Hyperfall, the culmination of three years in ascendance.
Yotto
“This record is generally inspired by the feeling of having lost and found your car keys at the same time. There’s drama, distress and deep, profound contemplation mirrored with relief and relentless joy.” Yotto
The album’s final single ‘Walls’ is something of a departure from the quintessential Yotto sound. Eschewing the previous singles’ melancholic undertones, ‘Walls’ features stirring melodic hooks above uplifting major chords - a dose of unadulterated dancefloor joy.
“Walls is a soundtrack to my second favourite hobby, staring at walls. I’m actually very very good at it and I hope it gets accepted to the Olympics soon." Yotto
Yotto is also embarking on his biggest headline tour to date, covering Europe, North and South America, and Australia. More dates for Phase Two of the tour will be announced this fall.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Yotto is definitely one of the strongest assets of Anjunadeep family and definitely one of the artists responsible for shaping the current sound of the beloved London based but truly international label. For his first single from his forthcoming album combines his efforts with Vök on The One You Left Behind. The excellent singer Margret performs the stunning lyrics in her own unique and highly seductive way that seems to contemplate perfectly the deep pulsating brooding basslines, rolling grooves and industrial dark electro pop style synthy lines. The result is how the pop music should sound in the coming years. Deep, meaningful and easy for the ear and the feet to follow its magical hypnotic rhythm. #PureGold Love It[/content]

Following the success of his 5-track concept EP ‘North’, Anjunadeep stalwart Yotto returns with his eagerly anticipated first Anjuna outing of 2018 with ‘Radiate’ EP. This release sees the Finnish producer claim his third ‘Hottest Record In The World’ from Annie Mac for the celestial ‘Kantsu’. ‘Aura’ is imbued with Yotto’s characteristic brooding basslines and uplifting chord progressions, whilst ‘Radiate’ is exemplary of his penchant for nuanced deep house perfectly crafted for the club dancefloor.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Yotto is definitely one of the most promising artists with incredible music so far. His fantastic Radiate EP includes 3 tracks that will manage easily to capture attention and mesmerise any audience. Kantsu has deep throbbing basslines, thumping dark groove, haunting strings, electronic like bells melodies, heavenly vocal snippets and cinematic details that turn the track into a sonic journey of force and inspiration. Radiate moves on the same deep enchanting territory with sweet warm mysteriously magical melodies, heavenly vocal snippets and superb electronic synths that expand and extend your sense of time and space. You feel relaxed but so re-energized at the same time to move forward and grasp your dreams. Lastly Aura is the more dark melodramatic sad and cinematic with strings that paint sonic images and awake your imagination. So liquid and special at the same time with the word eternally classic sounds in your mind. #PureGold Love IT [/content]
