Two Dutch dance heavyweights, multiplatinum-selling chart topping Dutch DJ and producer Martin Garrix and Armin van Buuren join forces to release their new single 'Sleepless Nights' via Armada Music.

Despite their long friendship, this is the first time they’ve merged their signature styles into a single track. Built around Libby Whitehouse’s remarkable vocal performance 'Sleepless Nights' blends Martin’s modern production with Armin’s trance DNA, creating a track that captures the restless energy of late-night dance floors and the euphoria of losing yourself until the first morning light.

The duo premiered the track live during back-to-back performances at Ultra Miami. The track has become a mainstay in both Martin & Armin’s solo sets and they have continued to perform it together at other major festivals, including EDC Las Vegas, Cape Town, and Johannesburg. Armin van Buuren and Martin Garrix have each claimed the number one spot in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll five times, jointly holding the record for the most wins.

Martin Garrix recently performed at the iconic L.A State Historic Park, his first time playing in LA since 2016. Garrix is the first ever artist to perform three nights at L.A State Historic Park. He immediately sold-out 40,000 tickets for two shows & added the third due to high demand. Earlier in June, Martin Garrix spent four nights in Las Vegas, playing shows at OMNIA, TAO Beach Club, and EDC. Adding to his highly sought after shows, Garrix recently sold out two nights at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO for October.

Earlier this year, Garrix released 'Peace of Mind' with Citadelle. Garrix also teamed up with Lauv to release 'MAD.' He recently released two collaborations with Arijit Singh, 'Angels for Each Other' & 'Weightless'. 'Angels for Each Other' marked the first time Garrix was featured singing on his own record.

Armin van Buuren kicked off 2025 by premiering his innovative Pillars of Creation live concept in the desert dunes of Ras Al Khaimah. He hosted the annual A State of Trance Festival in Rotterdam (February) and London (July), with the festival set to make its debut in Mexico this November. This summer, Armin launched his 9-show Ushuaïa Ibiza residency with a rare six-hour open-to-close set, followed by weekly shows featuring guests like Cosmic Gate and Vini Vici. Meanwhile, he continues touring worldwide with his immersive The Orb live show.

In June, Armin released his ninth studio album, ‘Breathe’, a 51-track journey exploring mental health, personal growth, and creative freedom. To mark the album’s release, he appeared on the cover of Men’s Health, highlighting how his physical transformation has fueled his creative evolution. The album features the lead single ‘Let It Be For Love’ ft. JAI RYU. Armin recently released standout tracks ‘Keep The Faith’ with Bon Jovi, ‘Heavy’ with JOA, ‘Dream A Little Dream’ with Sam Gray, and ‘Sound of You’ with Pendulum and Rob Swire.

[item value="10"]Armin van Buuren & Martin Garrix - Sleepless Night [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Martin Garrix and Armin van Buuren, two titans of Dutch electronic dance music, have finally united their signature sounds in the electrifying single "Sleepless Nights," released via Armada Music. This collaboration, years in the making given their long-standing friendship, delivers a seamless fusion of Garrix’s cutting-edge production techniques and van Buuren’s trance heritage, creating a track that is both innovative and nostalgically euphoric. "Sleepless Nights" is constructed around a solid 138 BPM, positioning it squarely within the uplifting trance and euphoric pop dance spectrum. The tempo selection amplifies the track's high-energy appeal, making it ideal for both festival mainstages and intimate club settings. The track is characterized by a sophisticated layering of synths, dynamic basslines, and intricate rhythmic patterns. The use of sidechain compression allows the kick to punch through the mix, providing that quintessential dancefloor drive. The production showcases Garrix’s modern EDM prowess intertwined with van Buuren’s trance sensibilities. The track opens with atmospheric pads and subtle percussive elements, gradually building tension as Libby Whitehouse’s captivating vocals enter. Her voice is treated with a delicate balance of reverb and delay effects, enhancing its ethereal quality without overshadowing the instrumental layers. The breakdown is where the classical influence shines, featuring a beautifully arranged violin melody. This orchestral touch adds an emotional depth, contrasting with the subsequent drop, which explodes with distorted, rave-infused synths. The warped synth hook is crafted using advanced modulation techniques, likely involving frequency distortion and dynamic filtering to achieve its mind-energizing texture. The meticulous attention to detail in the production process is evident. The track likely involved multiple stages of sound design, with Garrix focusing on the punchy, festival-ready elements while van Buuren infused the arrangement with trance-inspired arpeggios and harmonic progressions. The mixing process ensures clarity, with each element occupying its defined space within the stereo field. The mastering stage adds the final polish, enhancing the track’s loudness and dynamic range suitable for large sound systems. "Sleepless Nights" is more than just a collaboration; it’s a masterclass in blending genres and production styles. The synergy between Martin Garrix and Armin van Buuren, coupled with Libby Whitehouse’s irresistible vocals, results in a track that’s both technically impressive and emotionally resonant. The euphoric climax, rich in melodic hooks and sing-along potential, cements "Sleepless Nights" as a future classic in the dance music landscape. #PureGold #MustListen #LoveiT [/content]

STMPD RCRDS and Tomorrowland Music continue the roll-out of their spectacular collaborative EP with the highly anticipated release of ‘Hurricane’. Dutch dance music luminary and STMPD label boss Martin Garrix has teamed up with Australian fast-rising trio Sentinel and Swedish songwriter & vocalist Bonn for their euphoric summer anthem ‘Hurricane’, co-released through both imprints today.

'Hurricane’ is out now via all platforms.

With mesmerizing vocals, enchanting melodies, and a surge of energy, ‘Hurricane’ transports listeners to a whole new dimension of music. With its undeniable passion and infectious vibes, the track emerges as a strong contender for the soundtrack of the summer.

Speaking about the collaboration, Garrix shared his enthusiasm, stating, "There was an amazing energy while creating this song. Bonn and I have worked together many times before, and his amazing voice perfectly fits 'Hurricane’. I'm also super excited that we're teaming up with Tomorrowland again this year for both the EP and the stage hosting this summer. We are working on some amazing surprises for that one."
Sentinel added: ‘’From the very first draft of this song, we knew we had an anthem on our hands. We had Martin and Bonn in mind from the very start and so finishing the song together with them has been incredibly special. We are all very proud, and excited to share ‘Hurricane’ with the world."
Martin Garrix and Bonn are no strangers to successful collaborations, with Dancing Astronaut even hailing their partnership as “one of the most authentic producer/vocalist combinations in modern dance music”. Their creative synergy shines through in ‘Hurricane’, where they once again demonstrate their remarkable chemistry enforced by the unmistakable talent of Sentinel. Bonn: "In a dark, uninspired time, I lost my love for music. Then, Martin sent me a track. It sparked something within me, filling me with joy and creativity. 'Hurricane' celebrates music and life!”
The lyrics of ‘Hurricane’ encapsulate the essence of finding solace in someone, with lines like “Feel Like Summer On A Winter's Day / You’re My Shelter In A Hurricane”. The lyrics, coupled with the song's infectious beats, create an irresistible blend that resonates with listeners on a profound level. Don't miss out on this sensational collaboration that sets the stage for an incredible summer of music.

Having kicked off with the first three releases ‘P.R.O.G.2’ by DubVision, ‘Aspirin’ by Julian Jordan and ‘Hurricane’ by label boss Martin Garrix, Sentinel and Bonn, more brand-new music by Matisse & Sadko, Sentinel, Fancy Inc and Goodboys will be unveiled in the coming months leading up to Tomorrowland. Closing off bigger than ever, both labels will be co-hosting the STMPD RCRDS x Tomorrowland Music stage at Tomorrowland Belgium on Saturday July 22.

The DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll results are in. Dutch DJ/Producer Martin Garrix has retained the crown of ‘World’s No.1 DJ’ for a third consecutive year, since becoming the youngest ever to be voted the World’s No.1 DJ back in 2016.

In aid of UNICEF, the 2018 edition of Top 100 DJs marks the 25th anniversary of the globally celebrated poll. This year saw record numbers of voters with in excess of 1.2 million verified votes received, an increase of nearly 200,000 on 2017 being submitted during the 3 month campaign period — making it the biggest publicly-voted music poll in the world.

Martin Garrix received the award at the official DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Awards ceremony during Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). The show took place at the Johan Cruijff Arena in front of a sold-out capacity crowd of 35,000 fans as part of the Amsterdam Music Festival (AMF), an initiative of ALDA Events and ID&T.

Few can argue about the irrefutable global reach of one of dance music’s most revered stars. The meteoric rise of the Dutch superstar Martin Garrix’s career has been nothing short of breathtaking, with the past 12 months being perhaps his finest year yet. Whether it’s with hit singles that include ‘So Far Away’ with David Guetta and ‘Ocean’ featuring Khalid, to his globetrotting touring diary that puts him at the top of the bill for the biggest festivals and events on the planet from Tomorrowland to Creamfields, to appearing at the Winter Olympic Games in South Korea or supporting popstar Justin Bieber on tour, the young Dutch native is rarely out of the public eye. This win means Martin Garrix becomes only the third DJ to have recorded three Top 100 DJs wins, aligning him with previous winners and fellow Dutch DJs Tiësto (3x) and Armin van Buuren (5x).

Other high entries in the 2018 Top100 DJs Poll includeTomorrowland residents and Belgian brothers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike who are a non-mover at #2 and again scooped the award for ‘Highest Group’. Trance don Armin van Buuren slipped one place, behind Hardwell [#3], to #4 but claims once more the category for ‘Highest Trance’artist. David Guetta [#5], Tiësto [#6], Don Diablo (‘Highest Future House’) [#7], Afrojack [#8], Oliver Heldens [#9] and Marshmello [#10] make up the remaining positions of the Top 10.

Australian sisters NERVO, are up 15 places to #27 this year, making them the highest ranked female DJs in the ranking. Next to them is hardstyle pioneer Headhunterz, who claimed the ‘Highest Hard’ award by landing at #28. This year’s ‘Highest Climber, powered by Beat Fever’ accolade goes to the Israeli psytrance duo Vini Vici [#34] who have made an undeniable mark on the festival circuit this past year.

Martin Garrix is the number 1 DJ for 3rd year

A former No.1 DJ himself and still the reigning lord of the underground, Carl Cox is up 9 places at #53 and wins the ‘Highest Techno’ award this year. Melodic masked marauderClaptone was a new entry in the 2017 poll but is up 12 places this year landing at #57 and once again winning the ‘Highest House’ award. The reunion of EDM’s best-loved collective certainly didn’t go unnoticed by voters as the Swedish House Mafia claimed #63, earning the ‘Highest Re-entry’ award. Individually the Swedes also ranked at #58 (Steve Angello) and #41 (Axwell Λ Ingrosso).

With new entries from Breathe Carolina [#77], Adam Beyer [#79], Marco Carola [#86], Cedric Gervais [#87], to female artists being represented by artists such as MATTN #72 who won ‘Highest New Entry’, Nina Kravis [#97] and Alison Wonderland [#96], this year’s poll once again represents a varied selection of popular electronic music genres from house and big room EDM to techno and trance, as well as psy-trance to progressive house and drum & bass and hardstyle, with the inclusion of artists from countries as far and wide as Australia, Guatemala, Brazil, China plus many more.

The territory that yielded the highest number of votes was again the USA, with the UK, Brazil and Mexico ranking next, closely followed by the central European countries of Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Spain. Following the widening of the voting process using a 2FA SMS login option for markets without Facebook, there was a 28% increase in votes from China. This has undoubtedly helped the top two Chinese DJs — Carta [#73] and DJ L [#84] — climb 19 and 14 places respectively, while other areas in Asia— including Japan, Vietnam and Thailand — all saw similar increases.

Receiving votes from 179 countries, the Top100DJs is a definitive annual guide to the world's most popular DJs and a living symbol of the strength and diversity of the global electronic music scene.  In ongoing efforts to build on the diversity of the poll, DJ Mag has partnered with Beatport who co-presented a Beatport Breakthrough Award, which was won by Brazillian DJ, ANNA. In the following weeks, DJ Mag & Beatport will announce the Alternative Top 100 DJs results, to highlight DJs from genres traditionally on the periphery of the global poll.

Top100DJs has always had charity beneficiaries, however, 2017 was a major escalation that saw UNICEF elevated to headline status. The partnership raised a total of £30,000, including a personal donation of £10,000 by DJ Mag. The fundraising for the 2018 campaign is on track to beat the previous total, with the full amount to be announced next month.

UNICEF works in more than 190 countries and ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. Through the power and unity of music, the money raised through the Top100DJs Poll will support UNICEF to vaccinate children to protect them from deadly disease, provide life-saving food for malnourished children, train teachers and provide education, protect vulnerable children from violence and abuse and deliver humanitarian aid for children in danger from war and disaster around the world.

The team-up of the century! Kings of the big room Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike team up with the great Martin Garrix to bring you ‘Tremor’! Combine Martin’s melodies with Dimitri & Mike’s drum programming and this is exactly what you get. A hard hitting, gritty yet melodic electro effort of earth shattering proportions!

First premiered during the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ party in Amsterdam back in October 2013, and later support by Danny Howard on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show and further rotated on Pete Tong’s iconic BBC show, this rumbling studio release is equipped with enough grunt to rattle international dancefloors into submission. So it should come as little surprise then that ‘Tremor’ has been announced the official 2014 anthem for the world renowned Sensation parties.

Dimitri Kechagias review: When three of the most phenomenal artists combine their forces is headline news without doubts. Dimitri Vegas & Martin Garrix & Like Mike are coming together to produce the next mega smash for the summer festivals and mainstream pop charts as well.  Its called Tremor and is already massive success at beatport with number 1 position for weeks.  It can only be an anthem for the worldwide ID&T successful event Sensation in Amsterdam. Tremor moves on the big room / progressive house style with tough bouncy pumping groove and body shaking aggressive basslines. The breakdown is used not as the moment of relaxation but of the absolute mayhem and dancefloor chaos as the maddening synthy lead comes to the surface and can only drive crazy millions of clubbers worldwide. When the drop lands hard the aggressive bassline is mixed with that massive beastly synthy plus the percussion style melody that Martin Garrix is known for. Within the longer breakdown the lovely catchy melody is repeated continuously by various synthy sounds in order to memorise it as early as possible in the hard disc of your mind and never forget it again. The final drop is even rougher, harder and the ultimate party moment that logic disappears and the only way is up and high to the sky and beyond. If you don't afraid 3 young boys who know how to deliver earthquakes with their fun packed music, better press play and watch the ground shaking!  Yeahh BOY!#PureGold Love IT
