FESTIVAL NEWS: Mysteryland Netherlands is coming in less than a month - New acts announced

With just one month to go before Mysteryland descends on Haarlemmermeer in the Netherlands, the festival announces the final acts for the line-up along with some of the must-see festival highlights. This year, Mysteryland, the world’s longest running dance music festival, adds an extra day, taking place on both Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August.

New acts revealed today include 2000 and one, Boehmer, Darius Syrossian, Deep Dish, De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, Dimitri Vangelis and Wyman, DJ Maestro, Feestdjruud, Kraak & Smaak (DJ Set), Lil Silva, My Baby, Santé and Sidney Charles. These acts bolster an already enormous multi-genre line-up, featuring everything from dance to afrobeat, from techno to house and from hardstyle to disco.

The spectacular main stage will play host to big name acts like Alesso, De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, Oliver Heldens, Jungle by Night, Nero, Martin Garrix, Knife Party and Netsky live – a blow-your-mind experience complete with fireworks, confetti and show-stopping lights and visuals. Techno fans should head to HYTE, CLR, Beatport, Joris Voorn Presents, Vinyl Only, Planet Delsin and Studio 80 where Agoria, A Made Up Sound, Art Department, Apollonia, Ben Sims, Chris Liebing, Dave Clarke, Dubfire, Interstellar Funk, Jeff Mills, Job Jobse, Joran van Pol , Joseph Capriati, Maya Jane Coles, Robert Hood, Sandrien, Smallpeople, Sterac, The Martinez Brothers and Tiga b2b DJ Hell are just some of the many acts set to perform.

Spinnin' Sessions take over The Big Top on Saturday with artists such as DVBBS, Vinai and Ummet Ozcan, followed by Size Matters on Sunday, with Steve Angello, Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano, Kryder, AN21 and much, much more. For those looking to discover new sounds there’s The Bollywood Bar, with acts like Young Marco, San Proper, Volcov and Invisible City Sound System spinning everything from tropical calypso to afro disco and everything in between, as well as the Hague-Afreakan party Radio Noet Noet with Analog Africa, Casper Tielrooij, Auntie Flo and Mim Souleiman. Art and culture

Mysteryland isn’t just been about the music. The extensive arts and cultural program has become just as important. This year, the “Art path”, or Kunstpad will be created in cooperation with Cultuur & Ondernemen. Here, six promising artists will present their interactive installations based on the theme 'serenity'. There also promises to be plenty of light art, including an enormous light installation below the pyramid, made by WERC Collective, which includes two hundred moving elements, video mapping on the water, a lot of LEDs and 8 kilometres of cable. This year, Mysteryland will collaborate with the Tropenmuseum and there will be a giant pig, in which you can watch a show as though you were a piglet. Plus the Healing Garden will offer ample opportunity to indulge your spiritual side, experience inspiring talks from the likes of American life artist and producer Tommie and enjoy an exquisite dinner at Vork and Mes, crafted by top chef Jonathan Karpathios.

EVENT NEWS: Mysteryland Announces mindblowing Phase 2 Line-up

Mysteryland today reveals phase two of the line-up for the 2015 edition of the festival. This year Mysteryland adds an extra day, with the multi-day event set to take place on both Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August in Haarlemmermeer, The Netherlands. New acts revealed today, include Agoria, A Made Up Sound, AN21, Coone, FS Green, Job Jobse, Joost van Bellen, Joseph Capriati, Laidback Luke, R3hab, Ran-D, Robert Hood, Sandrien, San Proper, Smallpeople, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Tommie Sunshine and Young Marco. These artists join previously announced acts, including Apollonia, Alesso, Chris Liebing, Dave Clarke, Dubfire, Hercules & Love Affair, Jeff Mills, Joris Voorn, Maya Jane Coles, Martin Garrix, Netsky, Nicky Romero, Oliver Heldens, Porter Robinson, STERAC, Steve Angello and Ten Walls. This year, the program is bigger and more varied than ever. Global stars and upcoming talent on all stages

After performing for two consecutive years at Mysteryland, Martin Garrix will now be the final act on the main stage. On this stage, he will be accompanied by Alesso, Porter Robinson, Laidback Luke, R3hab, Nicky Romero, Oliver Heldens, Nero, Knife Party, Netsky, Jungly By Night. At “Size Matters” in The Big Top, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, An21, Chocolate Puma, and Kryder have been added to the line-up, alongside Steve Angello. Spinnin' Session’s line-up is now complete, with DVBBS, Vinai and Ummet Ozcan starring, amongst others. Wildstylez, Frontliner, Noisecontrollers, Psyko Punkz, Zatox, Ran-D, and Coone will shake the ground beneath the Q-dance stage. More of a techno fan? Chris Liebing, Joris Voorn, Joseph Capriati, Agoria, Tiga & DJ Hell, Maya Jane Coles, Martinez Brothers, Dave Clarke, Robert Hood, Pan-Pot, Dubfire, Ten Walls, Jeff Mills, and ROD have also been confirmed. Fun fact: Ben Sims, Sterac, Interstellar Funk, and Small People will be playing vinyls on the Vinyl only stage. Milkshake will be the final act of Supertoys with Hercules & Love Affair, where Joost van Bellen, Doppelgang, Vic Crezée, and Tommie Sunshine will also perform. This year, Mysteryland's stages will be filled for two entire days, with all kinds of music, from dance to afrobeat, from techno to “singing bowl” ceremonies, and from hardstyle to disco. Also taking part are, amongst others, Q-dance, Spinnin- Sessions, Size Matters (Steve Angello's label), Beatport, Joris Voorn Presents, HYTE, CLR, Planet Delsin, Studio 80, Milkshake, Supertoys, Vieze Poezendek, Kris Kross, Yours Truly, Disco Dolly, Radio Noet Noet, Kojade, The Amazing Agency, and Speedbar.

Art and culture program to the next level

Of course, for the past few years, Mysteryland hasn't just been about the music. Now, the art and cultural program is just as important. This year, an “Art path”, or Kunstpad will be created in cooperation with Cultuur & Ondernemen. Here, well-known artists will present their interactive installations, and there also promises to be plenty of light art. FESTIVAL NEWS: Mysteryland Announces 2015 Music, Culture & Art Curators

Mysteryland is proud to announce collaborations with cutting-edge curators, artists, and performers from New York City and beyond, who will bring their diverse expertise in music, culture and art to Mysteryland’s second edition at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts over Memorial Day Weekend 2015. The first wave of curators includes Verboten, Webster Hall, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode, Jamie Jones’ Paradise, French Express, Q-Dance, BangOn! NYC, and many more, with the full music lineup to be released in the new year.

Music

Mysteryland pays an homage to the rich New York music scene, with distinct areas hosted by its forward-thinking nightclubs, party series and record labels. Verboten is a Brooklyn-based nightclub and leader in the New York underground dance music scene, also bringing its popular weekly Zeitgeist series showcasing indie dance and nu-disco music to the festival. Declared by Prince as “the best stage in NYC,” Webster Hall has been, for over 128 years, a focal point of culture, celebration and freedom and will be inviting the most current names in dance music to Mysteryland.

A stage will also be hosted by Swedish techno titan, Adam Beyer, and his label, Drumcode, which cuts through the noise of the electronic music scene with each release -- reaffirming the label’s mission to deliver straightforward unpretentious dance music. One of techno’s biggest stars, Jamie Jones will bring his globally recognized Paradise party, featuring his signature groove as well as a spectacular roster of guests. Meanwhile, the celebrated French Express record label has been pumping out rhythmic house tunes since 2010.

Returning is Q-dance, creating exceptional experiences for a dedicated community devoted to their passion of hard electronic dance music, and making the first stop of their 2015 North America tour. The overwhelmingly popular bass stage The Boat also returns to Mysteryland 2015 with a brand new design, always focusing on all types of bass music with a very special closing slot. And of course, Mysteryland unveils a brand new mainstage, featuring a lineup of the world’s top headlining artists. The full line-up will be released in the new year.

Over at Holy Ground camping, Mysteryland introduces a new outdoor camping stage dubbed “Pineapple Paradise,” embracing the “anything goes” ethos -- you never know what to expect! Also new is The Breakfast Club: daily morning pre-parties in the Camping Circus held exclusively for Holy Ground campers, hosted by ‘Saved By The 90’s, a retro concept from the Bayside Tigers who will bring DJs, live music, and more to the grounds. Returning is the BangOn! NYC bus and of course, the Camping Circus.

Culture

Mysteryland continues its reputation as one of the world’s most groundbreaking festivals, aiming to create a community that allows fans to come together to discover new boundaries and means of self-expression through diverse settings celebrating culture and art. New additions for 2015 include ‘Owari No Nai’, a mysterious concept by the Amsterdam creative collective which brought the popular Sin Salida experience last year, featuring a Japanese land filled with Geisha girls, sake and more. Verboten also brings its Culture series, which includes Deep House Yoga classes, trivia nights, burlesque shows, and art exhibitions from popular and upcoming artists.

Art

Mysteryland's 2015 arts program will be curated by Kevin Balktick, who will showcase the brightest imaginations in New York and beyond. Kevin Balktick is a Brooklyn-based creative director and event producer who has been organizing art and culture experiments for nearly ten years. Mysteryland is excited to engage with New York’s artistic communities and give them a place to play and share their work.
