1-Best of tracks from other artists in 2024.
a) Identify the most exceptional tracks from other artists released in 2024. Explain your selection, highlighting production techniques and audience reactions.

Kenn Colt: Without doubt that would be Adam Port - Move from keinemusik. They are dominating the whole electronic dance scene at the moment with their strong afrohouse productions. It's not a peak track, but it's been such a big hit that you can basically play it on every moment at the clubs. The audience knows the lyrics, it's an easy to remember song with an overal good vibe.



Mau P - Merther, is a remake of the "Welcome to Jamrock" from Damian Marley, Mau P used the vocal and gave it an powerful remix with pumping bassline on the drop.


My most played song would be "It's not Right (but it's ok)" from the dutchies Mr Belt & Weezol. this remake works every time.


1-Best self-produced/personal tracks of 2024
b)Explain your choices for the best 2024 personal productions. Were they due to challenges, crowd reactions, or success on download shops/streaming services?

Kenn Colt: My best production for 2024 will be Mueve Ese Booty, based on the reactions of the crowd and as well did the best on the streaming platforms. Everywhere i played this song the crowd start moving, in Latin America they understood the lyrics and especially the girls went crazy on this one.


2) Best Artist of 2024 (DJ & Producer)
Analyze why you consider the selected artist the best in their genre. Explain the factors that influenced your decision and highlight their most appreciated aspects. 

Kenn Colt: Adam Port and keinemusik, without doubt dominating the afrohouse scene this year. Nearly all the songs they did reached high notes and the keinemusik parties were sold out worldwide.


3-a) Best Remixes of 2024
Provide a detailed explanation of your remix selection, including your reasons. Consider factors like production proficiency, technical aspects, creativity, and imagination.

Kenn Colt: Swedish house mafia - Finally (Eran Hersh & Shooma Remix) - I know Eran for many years when he did a remix for my song Sun Goes Down and now he did an official release of "Finally" from the Swedish house mafia, such a beauty. 


3-b) Your best self-produced remix of 2024
Explain why you believe your 2024 remix is your best work. Include any technical challenges or unique difficulties you faced during production. 
  
Kenn Colt: This year I focussed more on own releases or remakes, but if you count the remakes as well as a remix than it would be "Chan Chan", it's a remake of the "buena vista social club" classic and was released on my own label Feels Like Home Records.


3-c) Best Remixer(s) of 2024:
Provide a concise commentary on the best remixers of 2024, supporting your assessment with specific reasons highlighting their exceptional talent and expertise. 

Kenn Colt: Best remixer this year would maybe be Fisher, he did somebody (from gotye), Waiting for Tonight from Jennifer lopez and "Jamming" from Bob marley. all these remixes work so well on club but even on festivals so for my point of view that deserves this point.


4) Best New Talent of 2024 (DJ or Producer): 
Explain your award selection in detail. Do you personally know or collaborate with the artist?

Kenn Colt: The Belgians Samm & Ajna - they have been making waves for a while now but 2024 was definitely their year. both production wise, remixes and their own party concept and label magnifik.


5-a) Best Electronic Dance Music Album of 2024: 
Provide a detailed explanation of the criteria used to select the best electronic dance music album of 2024. Also, highlight the standout tracks that showcase its exceptional quality.

Kenn Colt: Well this is a surprising question because for tech house or dance in general I don't see much albums passing by (if none so far i know). Only big pop stars did some albums this year.

5-b) Best Electronic Dance Music Compilation of 2024. Please elaborate on the criteria used to select this compilation. Are the mixing processes of the tracks high quality and proficient? Is the track listing imaginative and creative?

Kenn Colt: Same as previous question

Kenn Colt: PAWSA - PICK UP THE PHONE (feat. Nate Dogg) - shoots me right back to my youth when i got my first phone (which was a Nokia 3310)


6) Best Electronic Dance Music Label of 2024
Explain your choice. What appeals to you about this label? Is it the high-quality tracks, the impressive roster of notable artists, or something else?

Kenn Colt: I would say because of the immense success of their tracks, keinemusik probably won this year.


7)Best music composition software and hardware of 2024. Explain your selection.

Kenn Colt: For me Studio One. i have been producing with Logic Pro for years, but i felt like it's more a big boat which moves slowly. Studio One has best of both worlds, it looks a bit like Ableton (fast way of producing) but has the look and feel of Logic. I hardly switch back to Logic, unless there is a project i want to check or reuse which i've made in the past :-)

8-a) Your Best Personal DJ Gig of 2024:

Kenn Colt: Alchemist, Kenya August 31, 2024, It was my first time performing in Kenya, and I didn’t expect the crowd to welcome me with such incredible energy and love. The vibe was electric, and it’s a moment I’ll never forget. It was a great introduction for Afro House music as well!




8-b) Best DJ set from another DJ (real or online) of 2024. Explain why you think it’s the strongest. Highlight exceptional mixing, track selection, and overall mix development.

Kenn Colt: That's such an hard question. i've seen so many this year, maybe Anyma this year at Tomorrowland mainstage. that was a very powerful experience, especially to see him after all the afterlife shows also perform like that on the mainstage. big up!


9)Share your most valuable technical advice and production techniques from 2024, specifically related to DJing or music production.

Kenn Colt: I had the chance to be in the studio with fellow producers and learned small new techniques, but the best one would be the "Studio One" DAW tip that I got from my friends.

10-Share the most valuable advice you received in the personal or music business that significantly contributed to your career advancement in 2024. This guidance can help others grow professionally.

Kenn Colt: I was making all kinds of music in the beginning of 2024, but the best advise is to narrow down your style so people in the music business, but also your fans know what to expect. And be unique in your sound and productions!

11-Could you share your plans for 2025, including future releases, tracks, albums, collaborations, and DJ gigs? We’d love the details.

Kenn Colt: I’m excited to share that I’ve got a new track dropping in March 2025 on the African label My Other Side Of The Moon! It’s afrohouse track that I've premiered back in august and the label boss came to me and wanted to sign the track right away, so I hope everyone will enjoy, so stay tuned. Aside from that, I have a few more in the works, if you’ve been following my socials, you might have caught a few previews already. 😉 For shows, i'm planning to do a new tour in latin america and especially Paraguay, Ecuador and Mexico! I’m definitely revisiting my favorites from this year as well as Africa and China will be back on the menu.

Big news: I’m relaunching my record label "FEELS LIKE HOME Records" from beginning of 2025! If you’re an aspiring artist looking to collaborate or release music, don’t hesitate to reach out. Dustin Husain: Shooting Stars with Adara released on Find Your Harmony, gathered the most expectation as people were really drawn into the nostalgic but modern sounds of a dance and trance hybrid track. The vocal took you above and made sure you can vibe and live in positivity

 

Soul Energy release on Dreamstate Records, gathered the attention of all those who love rave culture as this release showcased my signature high energy trance sound. 


2) Best Artist of 2024 (DJ & Producer)

Analyze why you consider the selected artist the best in their genre. Explain the factors that influenced your decision and highlight their most appreciated aspects.


Dustin Husain: Guiseppe Ottaviani to me is the best in 2024 as he presents many different concepts to keep the music fresh especially in the Trance realm. I appreciate what he does for the scene as it allows other artists to keep pushing forward within the genre.

Explain why you believe your 2024 remix is your best work. Include any technical challenges or unique difficulties you faced during production.

Dustin Husain: I didn't have an opportunity to remix anything in 2024 but best believe in 2025 you will be able to hear a remix from me (: 

4) Best New Talent of 2024 (DJ or Producer): 

Dustin Husain: I wouldn’t say there are best new talents atm but to all the artists doing their thing wether A List or not is what is best to me. This allows everyone to showcase their talents and it allows Trance Music to thrive year in and year out!

5) Best Electronic Dance Music Label of 2024
Explain your choice. What appeals to you about this label? Is it the high-quality tracks, the impressive roster of notable artists, or something else?

Dustin Husain: This one is pretty hard as I do like a lot of labels out there but I do like the team at High Contrast (Be Yourself Music), I love the attention to detail they provide and the vibes they give off. They make you feel at home and go the extra mile if need be. 



8-a)Your Best Personal DJ Gig and DJ Performance of 2024:

Dustin Husain: Dreamstate 2024 - So Cal at the Queen Mary - I love playing for dreamstate as to me this is the grand daddy of all Trance events that happens the week for Thanksgiving(trance-giving) here in the states. 

I have played 3 sets which all 3 were different feelings. I enjoy showcasing my talents during this time as I can freely play trance and have the connection with the crowd and fans.



8-b) Best DJ set from another DJ (real or online) of 2024.
Explain why you think it’s the strongest. Highlight exceptional mixing, track selection, and overall mix development.

Dustin Husain: Oh man Marlo’s Dreamstate 2024 set was off the hook with the classic dance reworks.. hope they get proper releases !


9)Share your most valuable technical advice and production techniques from 2024, specifically related to DJing or music production.

Dustin Husain: Don’t be afraid to ask fellow colleagues for advice and just to connect. We are all in this together!

Dustin Husain: This is always a question I ask myself.. I have a few releases planned in 2025 but also am in limbo with dj gigs.  This is something that keeps me leveled headed as this contains hard work to achieve. Thankfully I have a dedicated team that helps us achieve these goals!

Daniele Tosolini aka Kamael, was born in Rome and immediately showed a deep passion for music. As a teenager he explored the Hard Rock genre, studying and learning the electric guitar which later launched him into the world of music. In the summer of 2017 he approached the world of electronic music, starting to cultivate a deep interest in the art of DJing, managing in the following years, also thanks to the training courses completed in the best Roman studios, to play regularly in important clubs and festivals in his city and his country. In November 2023 he released his debut release "Dose" on Sirup Music, immediately obtaining excellent results and enormous support from international artists such as EDX.At the moment Kamael is a very active DJ producer in the tech house scene bringing his musical productions to the stage and at the same time he is working in the studio for his next upcoming tracks!

1-a) Best track(s) from other fellow artists of 2023. Why you choose this particular track, please share with us the reasons?production techniques & crowd reactions on it.

Kamael: I believe that among the best tracks of 2023 there is "Losing Control - Odd Mob, OMNOM", as it contains many musical influences from other genres such as Techno, and Minimal, furthermore when I had the pleasure of playing it, it gave the public a lot of energy back


1-b) Best of 2023 personal productions and for what you reasons you choose these particular tracks, is it because of technical challenges, crowd reaction in the club or was it your most successful single/album?

Kamael: My best personal production of this year is Dose, beeing my first track pubblished by a big label there is a particular emotional attachment to it. To tell the truth it's one of my first big satisfactions.

 

2) Best Artist of 2023(DJ & producer). Tell us why you believe he/she is the best, the factors that have influence you to choose this particular artist. What you appreciate the most from that artist. 

Kamael: I believe that the best artist of 2023 is Mochakk, as he managed during this year to create some musical productions that in the coming years will become points of reference for all those who want to experiment with the Tech house genre, furthermore I appreciate his way of this artist of making music because it has many points in common with mine


3-a) Best Remix(es) from other fellow artists of 2023. For what reasons you chose this particular remix, i.e. production proficiency, technical reasons creativity and imagination of the remixer :

Kamael: I believe that the best remix of 2023 is Sam Smith, Kim Petras - Unholy (Disclosure Remix), as on a technical level it has a complexity caused by many sounds that characterize the production, furthermore I believe that the remixer highlighted the strengths of the original song , but at the same time she sewed him a new dress, which makes the song one of a kind


3-b) YOUR Best Remix which you have produced of 2023! Why you believe that this is your best remix? share with us the technical challenges or special issues you had during the production of it. 

Kamael: I actually love to play with different music genres but it can sometimes be difficult to combine two or more of them to making them sound balanced and coherent 

3-c) Best Remixer(s) of 2023 with short comment, for what reason u believe he/she is the best remixer? Technical professionalism and technological proficiency? the elements that stand out in it. 

Kamael: I believe that the best Remixer this year too is Purple Disco Machine, as thanks to his technical expertise he always manages to make the original song a hit, he also manages in an admirable way to always maintain his identity within his remixes


4) Best New Talent of 2023 (DJ or producer), for what reasons you choose this particular artist? Do you know him/her personally?

Kamael: I believe that the best talent of this year is "Odd Mob", because I consider his musical productions among the best of 2023, I also believe that his way of doing Tech House is innovative, as he manages to combine different sounds that come from other musical genres. Unfortunately I didn't have the pleasure of meeting him personally, it would be a great honor to meet him.

5-a) Best electronic dance music album of 2023. Tell us the criteria behind the choice of this particular album and maybe highlight for the readers the best tracks from the album :

Kamael: I personally really appreciated the AJ Christou EP released on Hot Creations, which takes its name from its first track which is called "Babaloop", which by the way is my favorite track of the EP, as it creates an excellent impact on the audience who listens to my DJ Sets, whether live or means my Podcast


5-b) Best electronic dance music compilation of 2023. Please explain the criteria behind this choice? is the quality and proficiency of the mixing process, imagination/creativity in the choice of the track listing :

Kamael: I believe that the best dance compilation is once again the "Toolroom Ibiza 2023" compilation as the selection of the tracklist always gives the listener the musical identity of the record label, something that no one else manages to do.



5-c) Best artwork about single / album/compilation or promotional campaign of 2023. The criteria you applied to do this particular choice? 

Kamael: I think that "Kita Alexander, FISHER (OZ) - Atmosphere" is the best single of 2023, as Fisher managed to make an incredible hit again, it will be another track that will inspire many DJ producers


6) Best electronic dance music label of 2023. Please explain the reason behind your choice? what you particularly like or appreciate about this particular label?quality of tracks, great rooster of artists, personal connection?:

Kamael: I believe that Sirup Music has demonstrated once again that it is still a reality at very high levels, also managing to expand it's catalog with releases that do not come from the EDM genre, which has always been the reference genre of this label.


7) Best music composition software and hardware of 2023 with short comment. Why you believe this particular software/hardware deserves to be named as the best? great new features, easy to navigate, compose & produce? The advantages of this particular software & hardware that makes it to stand out.

Kamael: I consider Ableton to date to be the best DAW for music production, it allows any artist to express themselves not only in the studio but also in live performances, thanks to its flexibility of use, furthermore it is software compatible with all operating systems and this makes the easier life for any artist.

8-a) Your Best personal DJ Gig & DJ performance of 2023. Where and when did you perform there? any funny incidents happened during particular performance; great crowd reactions. If there is video or sound recording please provide the link.

Kamael: My latest best performance was this summer in Germany; it was a private exclusive event in an antique historical location. the crowd was very energy-giving and i really enjoied my-self playing. they asked me to mix some traditional folkloristic music which i found very challenging yet hilrious. 

8-b) Best DJ set from other fellow DJ (actual or online) of 2023. Why you believe is the strongest and best DJ set? great mixing/track selection/development of the mix:

Kamael: I believe that the best DJ Set of 2023 is by ANOTR at No Art Festival, as I believe they managed to create crazy energy with the audience through an excellent mix

9) Best technical tips/production skills that you learnt in 2023 in relation to your DJing or music productions:

Kamael: At the moment I'm trying to make improvements to my musical productions thanks to the help of my fellow producers who are helping me in this, also my knowledge of vinyl to then be able to face a live performance that can only be performed with vinyl

10) Best piece of personal or music business' advice you got in relation to your career in 2023 and has helped you to progress even further and can help others who will read this interview:

Kamael: The best advice I was given in 2023 is to sometimes say no to certain proposals we may receive or say no to some people around us because they don't always want our artistic, professional growth

Dimitris: Do you have any concrete plans for 2024 regarding future releases, tracks, albums, collaborations, DJ gigs? Please provide us the juicy details.

Kamael: For 2024 I have a planned calendar of releases that will be published throughout the year, the first release will probably be published in the first months of the year, which will be a forerunner to a musical journey that will describe my idea of ​​music

Dimitris: Your message & wishes for 2024.

Kamael: I hope that 2024 will be a logically productive year for my artistic growth, and I also hope that the clubbing scene can return to having a central role in electronic dance music

Mima is a married producer duo signed at Switzerland's leading label Sirup Music. 

Producing Pop, House, Future House, Future Bass.

The producer duo is based in Switzerland.

In 2017 the single 'Fire' got released with Sirupmusic's label S2Records. 

Several other singles were published with the music publishing company AWAL.

Mima: We couldn’t get enough of Sigala’s track ‘Feels This Good’. It instantly lifts you up and the track is insanely well produced! Pure hype!

1-b) Best of 2023 personal productions and for what you reasons you choose these particular tracks, is it because of technical challenges, crowd reaction in the club or was it your most successful single/album?

Mima: Our track ‘Feel The Same’ received some amazing support and landed on Sirups Compilations, which we are very proud of!

2) Best Artist of 2023(DJ & producer). Tell us why you believe he/she is the best, the factors that have influence you to choose this particular artist. What you appreciate the most from that artist. 

Mima: Sigala is in our opinion in the spotlight of 2023 again! His tracks inspire us very much. Every song he releases is an instant hit!

3) Best New Talent of 2023 (DJ or producer), for what reasons you choose this particular artist? Do you know him/her personally?

Mima: We think Tim Bliss has a great potential to rise. He is still very young but talented and has the one of the most amazing mentors in the world, which is Timofey Reznikov, who co-produced David Guettas ‘I’m Good’. 

4) Best electronic dance music compilation of 2023. Please explain the criteria behind this choice? is the quality and proficiency of the mixing process, imagination/creativity in the choice of the track listing :

Mima: Of course ‘Best of Sirup Music 2023’ :) It is the hottest collection of this year’s releases on Sirup! With some amazing talents! 

5) Best artwork about single / album/compilation or promotional campaign of 2023. The criteria you applied to do this particular choice?  

Mima: Our top favourite are of course the artworks of Sirup Music’s Releases, their selection of pictures is just beautiful! Otherwise we also really favour the style of Sam Feldt’s Label Heartfeldt. The cover artwork of their singles are insane too!

6) Best electronic dance music label of 2023. Please explain the reason behind your choice? what you particularly like or appreciate about this particular label?quality of tracks, great rooster of artists, personal connection?:

Mima: Of course Sirup Music! They are family and honest and professional!

7) Best music composition software and hardware of 2023 with short comment. Why you believe this particular software/hardware deserves to be named as the best? great new features, easy to navigate, compose & produce? The advantages of this particular software & hardware that makes it to stand out.

Mima: For us it will always be Ableton Live! It just fits our workflow:) We love to work with Ableton! When it comes to hardware we don’t really have an favourite one, but of course our MIDI Keyboard from M-Audio does always the job well!

8) Best DJ set from other fellow DJ (actual or online) of 2023. Why you believe is the strongest and best DJ set? great mixing/track selection/development of the mix:

Mima: Martin Garrick at Ultra Music 2023 was insane! Like always!

 

9) Best technical tips/production skills  that you learnt in 2023 in relation to your DJing  or music productions:

Mima: We definitely improved our Mastering skills and learned a lot of new production techniques from other Producers!

10) Best piece of personal or music business' advice you got in relation to your career in 2023 and has helped you to progress even further and can help others who will read this interview:

Mima: Surround yourself with people who you trust and are professional!

Läder & Läder Easy to use. This starting sentence pretty much reflects us guys from Biel-Downtown.🔐 Our genres starts with Tech House go over Deep House and end either in Funky Tech or Techno. We met each other at a tennis camp and felt in love on a Day-Dance in Zurich before we took off. 🎶

Sandro, the bigger and stronger one, was already on his own before “Läder & Läder”. He already sounded the audience with smoove deep house transitions in his younger years.

Nino, the nicer and younger one, ignited his passion laid down regular sets over 8 hours.

Läder & Läder: Riordan with his track: Needle on the record. This track hit like a bomb and was only recently released. It's simple, straightforward, without a lot of details, and goes through your stomach. 


1-b) Best of 2023 personal productions and for what you reasons you choose these particular tracks, is it because of technical challenges, crowd reaction in the club or was it your most successful single/album?

Läder & Läder: Our track body and trompeta. the track body conveys the feeling of: lets goooo. It's driving, groovy, a little underground and simply danceable.

Läder & Läder: Definitely Fred again. What this boy does behind the DJ booth is from another planet. Even the few performances you see from him are always special. Special location, special announcement, special procedure. He is different, differently awesome!

Läder & Läder: Ain't no other man - Rework / Murphy's law! This song is actually not quite our style, but we fell in love. somehow the song has something, we don't know exactly what, but it brings joy! 

4) Best New Talent of 2023 (DJ or producer), for what reasons you choose this particular artist? Do you know him/her personally?


Läder & Läder: Riordan with his track: Needle on the record. We have been following this boy on tiktok for 2 years. He started at home in his room with dj and producing. 2 years full of passion and energy he just landed a beatport number 1 hit. Huge inspiration!

Läder & Läder: Skrillex - Album: Quest for fire

There are 15 tracks on the new album and each track has its own great style. We are big fans of this album

5-b) Best artwork about single / album/compilation or promotional campaign of 2023. The criteria you applied to do this particular choice? 

Läder & Läder: This was for our 3 own track - Trompeta. 

We shot a little video clip on an abandoned tennis court, short but very funny video, here we made fun of ourselves a little. had a great day shooting! 

6) Best electronic dance music label of 2023. Please explain the reason behind your choice? what you particularly like or appreciate about this particular label?quality of tracks, great rooster of artists, personal connection?:

Läder & Läder: Sirup Music Group (great rooster of artist and really really cool people behind this label) We have a super cool and friendly relationship and see each other a lot

7) Your Best personal DJ Gig & DJ performance of 2023. Where and when did you perform there? any funny incidents happened during particular performance; great crowd reactions. If there is video or sound recording please provide the link.

Läder & Läder: Here we have 2 gigs: The first was in Zurich at the famous Kaufleuten Club in March 2023. We played the intro for Nora en Pure and had a full house from the beginning and people were dancing from the start. We were also able to play our new own song BODY there and the reaction was overwhelming. 

The second was clearly the Streetparade Zurich in August 2023. We played on one of the Lovemobiles and drove through the city. The Streetparade has 1 million visitors, it was a unique and unforgettable experience. 

8) Best DJ set from other fellow DJ (actual or online) of 2023. Why you believe is the strongest and best DJ set? great mixing/track selection/development of the mix:


Läder & Läder: Fred again, Boiler Room London. Huge vibe, unbelievable mixing, this boy is from another planet

Läder & Läder: We don't have a special skill, we are 2 guys who like to experiment in the studio while producing or djing, and if we like a groove, we keep working on it. True to the motto, listen to your heart

10) Best piece of personal or music business' advice you got in relation to your career in 2023 and has helped you to progress even further and can help others who will read this interview:

Läder & Läder: Patience... and patience again. It doesn't happen overnight. Producing our own music helped us a lot to take another step forward.

1-a) Best track(s) from other fellow artists of 2023. Why you choose this particular track, please share with us the reasons?production techniques & crowd reactions on it.

Andreas Backvall: Artbat - Artefact, this track surprised me that it came from Artbat, I love the darkness they put in this track. Definitly one the best of 2023 for me.


1-b) Best of 2023 personal productions and for what you reasons you choose these particular tracks, is it because of technical challenges, crowd reaction in the club or was it your most successful single/album?

Andreas Backvall: That would probably be my upcoming release on Pinkstarblack, called Something Strange. I remember having a really great flow in the studio creating that track.


2) Best Artist of 2023(DJ & producer). Tell us why you believe he/she is the best, the factors that have influence you to choose this particular artist. What you appreciate the most from that artist. 

Andreas Backvall: This is a tough one, but I guess if I have to choose it would be Oliver Huntemann. He always deliver great productions, even this year.

Andreas Backvall: Still "Y do I - Carmina Burana Remix (Techno Of The Opera)" I never get tired playing this track!

Andreas Backvall: André Winter always delivers on his remixes!

Andreas Backvall: Maksim Dark with his album Antidepressant is really cool, be sure to check that one out!


5-a) Best electronic dance music compilation of 2023. Please explain the criteria behind this choice? is the quality and proficiency of the mixing process, imagination/creativity in the choice of the track listing :

Andreas Backvall: Hypnotic Rhythm VA 002. In this various artist album you'll find a whole bunch of great producers! A lot of them are friends from Stockholm as well.


5-b) Best artwork about single / album/compilation or promotional campaign of 2023. The criteria you applied to do this particular choice? 

Andreas Backvall: That just has to go to my friends Pleasurekraft with thier single called "Fear", love the artwork on that one.

6) Best electronic dance music label of 2023. Please explain the reason behind your choice? what you particularly like or appreciate about this particular label?quality of tracks, great rooster of artists, personal connection?:

Andreas Backvall: This one is easy, my guys at Pinkstarblack of course! I really love working with them =)

7) Best music composition software and hardware of 2023 with short comment. Why you believe this particular software/hardware deserves to be named as the best? great new features, easy to navigate, compose & produce? The advantages of this particular software & hardware that makes it to stand out.

Andreas Backvall: Arturias synthesizer called Pigments is one of my favorite at the moment, I use it in almost all my productions.

8-a) Your Best personal DJ Gig & DJ performance of 2023. Where and when did you perform there? any funny incidents happened during particular performance; great crowd reactions. If there is video or sound recording please provide the link.

Andreas Backvall: The most special gig I had this year must have been on a surprise birthday party in Barcelona a few months back. Two of my best friends where lured to a big mansion in Barcelona, having no idea there was gonna be a 3-day long party in their honor, with all of their friends, that one became emotional for sure.

8-b) Best DJ set from other fellow DJ (actual or online) of 2023. Why you believe is the strongest and best DJ set? great mixing/track selection/development of the mix:

Andreas Backvall: The best Dj set I experienced this year has to be at Printworks in London, right before the closed down. Argy played a fantastic set before Artbat!


9) Best technical tips/production skills that you learnt in 2023 in relation to your DJing or music productions:

Andreas Backvall: I think that this year in particular, I have tried to arrange my tracks differently. I have learned that a decade of producing music, sometimes can prevent creativity in the form of arranging tracks, due to the fact that I've chosen old patterns before experimenting with new. So try something new!

10) Best piece of personal or music business' advice you got in relation to your career in 2023 and has helped you to progress even further and can help others who will read this interview:

Andreas Backvall: Well, this is gonna sound cliché, but try not to be someone but yourself and the music you enjoy creating. As long as you keep having fun in the studio you'll be alright :)

Andreas Backvall: I have a whole bunch of new tracks that will hit the stores in 2024 so keep you eyes and ears open.
