Recently appointed as A&R for Discover Records, Para X from Frankfurt, is no stranger to the world of Trance. He may deservedly be called one of the most exciting producer-talents in Germany, when it comes to Uplifting sound. His very first release “Tears” appeared in 2001, which he produced for the closing of the World famous and legendary Dorian Gray Club at Frankfurt Airport. Now the doors were open and he was able to cause another sensation in 2003, when he released his track “Skytunes”, which was to be the incarnation of his very own “Para X-Sound”.

Since then, he has continuously released high quality records and remixes and gained strong support from many of the most influential DJ’s such as Armin Van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Talla 2XLC, Sean Tyas, Manuel Le Saux, Paul Van Dyk, John Askew and many more. He also features regularly on well known compilations such as Dream Dance, Technoclub and Tunnel Trance Force – to just to name just a few

As a DJ, he initially starting out at smaller clubs and radio shows, he was soon given the opportunity to showcase his skills at Talla 2XLC's legendary Technoclub - captivating the audience with his emotional and powerful musical journey. Now a permanent fixture, he also spins regularly at some of the biggest dance events and open air festivals, as well as heading up the hugely popular "Recoverworld Radio”. Lately he started his own record label Intense Emotions under the wings of Recoverworld Label Group.

Some anniversaries need to be celebrated and the 10 years anniversary of John Askews classic - Battery Acid - is definitely one of them.

As one of the tracks that helped define Tech Trance as a genre, Battery Acid is as iconic today as when it was released.

Fast forward 10 years and Zach Zlov and Ellez Ria have delivered stunning remixes to further compliment the Original.

Zach Zlov is on fire right now - with the likes of Askew and Patterson hammering his tunes. This remix shows us exactly why. With Askew's original acid line featuring heavily in the remix, Zach Zlov has further pushed the filth and drive to maximum levels. Approved by the man himself - Zach Zlov's remix more than does the original justice!!!

As do both interpretations from Ellez Ria. It's still all about the acid but brought bang into the now from both remixers.

Pure quality that does not disappoint!!

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]John Askew is considered as one of the main driving forces in the UK Trance sound and his  Battery Acid is seminal classic ready to come back for more with 3 turbo charged remixes that will be difficult to avoid on the dancefloors the coming months. Zach Zlov provides his powerful dark tech trance flavoured anthem with fat thumping drums, hard hitting basslines, full on acid overtones and superb arrangement that keeps you at the edge of your seat waiting the next moment to jump up a little higher. Ellez Ria goes for 2 very nice takes. Arkam Reborn version is more straight forward psy tech trance with slamming old school ravey synthy stabs, acid overtones and long melodic fuelled breakdown followed by edgy rough beats. ReFeel version adopts uplifting trance beats, driving head on basslines, cool breakdown with acid playful touches leading to the ethereal breakdown that carry us away to the ferocious totally earthshaking climax with that dark moody twisted edge. Top notch versions not to be missed. #PureGold Love It  [/content]

DJ Sakin rose to prominence in the late 90's with the mainstream crossover chart tune - Protect Your Mind (For The Love Of A Princess).

Other tunes followed from the album Walk on Fire that found equal levels of success and throughout the period following this DJ Sakin has followed the quality over quantity rule to deliver tunes of a consistantly high quality.

Fast forward to 2017 and his latest outing, a collaboration with KoRay called I Feel Love arrived courtesy of Discover main man Para X clearly showing the magic of this pedigree producer.

Uplifting trance at its very best - DJ Sakin and KoRay are clearly on the same page when it comes to writing a good tune and we are delighted to share it with you.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]When Manuel Le Saux and Astuni collaborate you can expect only massive tunes.  22 Years Later is absolutely stunning as it moves on the pure uplifting trance recipe by delivering what the big crowds demand at the moment. Heavy metallic basslines, bouncy driving drums and sharp kicks and most importantly long inspiring breakdown with sweet melodies and euphoric synthy plucks followed by clean, crispy, honest and positive climax that is emotional and motivating at the same time.  Team Deathmatch on the other hand adopts a much more psy tech trance sound with psy style bassline, fat stomping grooves and strong melodic content with themes that stuck in your head and climax that is rave tech trance and uplifting at the same time. Two super classy tunes not to be missed. #PureGold Love IT [/content]

One of the biggest tracks from Gary Maguire's artist album - INSIDE - finally gets a full single release on Recoverworlds flagship Discover label.

For those of you that missed the album, you are in for a real treat hearing this for the first time.

For those of you that are already familiar with the track, rest assured that the remix from DJ T. H. does not disappoint.

Dimitri Kechagias review: If you want the definitive sound of UK trance don't look any further than Discover records. The excellent release of Gary Maguire & CLSM  track By My Side will be welcomed by many fans of vocal trance. Lisa Abbott vocal is simply the right to uplift the crowd and elevate the track to the next level. Old school foundation of pounding basslines, energetic kicks and filthy acid layers melted with memorable synthy themes that will be remembered for long. The breakdown is going to awake your senses and the rave like synthy hook will push the track to the next level of unstoppable uncontrollable euphoria. On the other hand DJ T. H. remix transforms the original into a tougher hard trancer with old school trance references. The main theme becomes even sharper louder and ready to conquer the dancefloors! Without doubt La Esperanza is up there with the biggest releases we have had on the label.

The buzz around this has been huge and you only have to listen to the track once to understand why.

Big Discover kicks, a classic off beat bassline and brooding pianos and atmospherics all build towards the breakdown which unleashes one of our favourite riffs in a very long time.

Absolute quality from Obi!!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Discover records is one of the strongest trance labels and it has been the home of many talents that moved to different labels and have big careers. Now Obi delivers on Discover the stunning uplifting euphoric hands in the air Le Esperanza. Clean and clear production that is honest and true from the very beginning to the end. Smashing kickdrums, punchy energetic basslines and magnificent piano chords along with huge euphoric synthy hook that comes to the dancefloor and elevate you straight away. The massive orchestral breakdown will raise the hair from your neck while the romantic piano melody will calm the senses before the coming of the storming synthy lead that will take us by the hand to the massive colourful and blissful climax that will give you peace and happiness along with the underlying melancholic tones. #PureGold Love It

Add to the package a superb remix from Future Antics - a producer who currently sits right at the top of the "next big thing" category and you have all the makings of a classic Discover release.

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the most important and historic UK trance based labels is Discover records. The brand new release is the awesome uplifting euphoric trancer Quarantine by JP Bates. The Original mix is a solid uplifting trancer with superb metallic basslines, pounding drums and energetic synthy layers. The breakdown is long and sprinkled with detailed themes and impressive atmosphere. The climax moves on the uplifting meets tech trance direction so better get prepared for a very serious and highly addictive crescendo moment that still remains rough and tough to the bones. The massive Future Antics transforms the original into a dark melodic psy tech trancer with well known psy trance kick and bassline while the breakdown is melodic and euphoric to the maximum. The climax continues to be on the same haunting and vicious directions with some hints of the big euphoric synthy theme. Discover White Label opens the brand new year with this absolutely stunning return from Jimmy Chou.

'Inspire' does just that, it's a track full of wonder and good feeling, enough to wipe away those cobwebs from the New Year celebrations.

Let's get inspired!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Jimmy Chou is back and the beloved Canadian producer delivers an outstanding single that for me sounds the best in his career so far. Its nearly 9 minutes of energetic prime time mainstage uplifting trance magic that will rock the floors and festival arenas. His track Inspire contains elements of euphoric uplifting trance combined with aggressive acid layers and various glitzy greedy dark sound effects that keep the proceedings on the verge between uplifting and rocking acid tech trance. Rough drum programming, intense adrenaline charged basslines, mental pace and superb breakdown with blissful luscious elements that will certainly make you dream of a better lovely place that your dreams can become true.  The piano melody is very sweet and tender adding an extra layer of warmth and sensitivity. His breakdown is really inspiring with cinematic strings, piano chords and relaxing chilling atmosphere. The main synthy hook slowly climbs to the top of the ladder until to reach the massive build up that drives the track to its full on hands in the air euphoric crescendo that everything and anything is possible as long you believe strongly to it. Nearly 9 minutes of condensed tight and super solid trance thunderous beats and sharp hair raising melodies. #PureGold Love It

Robbie Van Doe has certainly had a year to remember when it comes to increased profile with both gigs and productions, so it is fitting that he starts 2015 with what is without doubt one of his biggest tracks to date.

Haywire has an infectious riff and all the power of a classic Discover track in waiting!

Kinetica has also been on fire this year and deliver a quality remix that ticks all the boxes when it comes to peak time trance as both artists ensure that the label hits the ground running at the start of the year.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Trance is officially back at the forefront of electronic music with events, festivals, labels, artists and digital media spreading all over the globe. The truly powerful style that we always trust goes stronger for 2015 and one of the top labels that never let us down quality wise is Discover records. So many years always with high quality artists Discover records is the birthplace for many artists that have developed their careers and set up now their own labels. The 1st release for 2015 on Discover comes from Robbie Van Doe from Wolverhampton UK who delivers an exceptional slice of superbly composed straight forward uplifting trance with strong acid elements and most importantly main melody that is simply infectious and truly unforgettable once you heard it. Tough pounding drums, punchy energetic basslines, cool cinematic vocal samples and long teasing breakdown with the main synthy theme slowly coming at the surface growing at you and slowly uplift your spirit to a higher plane. The rising star Kinetica is on remix  duties and you can say from the very first part that his version is a winner. The drums are harder and more dirty, the basslines are more raw and metallic while the breakdown is spacey and out of this world as we loved it to be. The huge main synthy riff will do the damage and Kinetica takes extra care to push its impact to the limits. With hard trance and psy tech influences his version has the euphoric feel goodness with hard crispy edges! #PureGold Love It

It seems like only yesterday when the original version of The Chamber punched its way on to the decks of pretty much every discerning trance DJ on the planet.

Fast forward more years than we would care to remember and the track has been revisited by two of the hottest producers on the scene right now.

Indecent Noise needs no introduction. No stranger to the Discover imprint he has carved an impressive career as both a DJ an d a producer and he brings that to the party here with this superb interpretation of the original.

Liam Wilson's rise through the ranks is nothing short of meteoric. Over the last 18 months he has gone from being one to watch to one of the hottest names in trance at the moment.

His remix originally appeared on his triumphant Underground Anthems compilation and since that time it has been one of our most requested single releases.

Classic tracks require classic treatment and both Indecent Noise and Liam Wilson have most certainly delivered on that score.

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the most beloved and inspired trance tracks of all time is of course the unforgettable anthem The Chamber by the well known project Inertia. The trance anthem is back in truly refashioned style perfect for the big rooms and uplifting trance tents in the summer festivals. The dj, producer and Mental Asylum record label owner Indecent Noise does his magic and service his nearly 9.00 minutes straight forward trance style by abandoning for a while the harder tech trance meets psy trance sound that he is currently involved. Uplifting euphoric straight forward trancer that respects the original greatly and updates it without diluting its fantastic atmosphere. Superb unforgettable melodic themes upon the tough rolling groove and the acid overtones. The breakdown is jam packed with emotional synths that crawl under your skin and touch your heart easily. When the main synthy lead appears the crowd reactions can not be easily predicted. The climax is full on and hands in the air Pure emotional honest feel good trance with acid layers on top to keep things balanced and quite dark too. Liam Wilson is currently on the rise with huge success on his originals and remixes as well. His remix is powerful, energetic, dynamic and absolutely earth shuttering with tough drums, driving energetic basslines, acid layers and strong melodic themes. His breakdown is very atmospheric that starts quite relaxed and smooth but very soon the brilliant original riff appears recreated in truly gigantic style that sounds larger than life. The cool vocal sample reminds us the title of the track and follows the massive banging full on hard trance climax that is impossible to left you untouched and unmoved. So expect the unexpected and particularly if you are on old trancer when you will recognise the original melody your hair will stand still and shivers will cover your body. #PureGold Love it

The second part of Thomas Datt's recent single remix package features the track '1983'.

Taking up the reigns is the excellent Manuel Le Saux and Astuni - who together create this epic, peak-time interpretation.

It's hard to think of a more prolific producer at the moment than Peter Hulsmans, who once again delivers a nailed-on floor-filler.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The top record label Discover records presents the brand new remixes on Thomas Datt retrosounding single 1983. The first remix comes from the safe hands of Manuel Le Saux and Astuni. Their remix is full on uplifting euphoric trance at its very best and at its highest quality of course. Energetic and driving straight forward banging trancer with huge euphoric synthy leads in the breakdown that recreate the original melody in truly epic hands in the air feel good style. The climax is truly gorgeous with the various synthy layers and epic strings creating a magnificent colourful soundscape that travel your spirit to faraway places. If you love the Pure and undiluted trance sound that remains faithful to the original trance tradition and truly underground as well, better don't miss this smasher. Peter Hulsmans from Belgium is one of the most talented new generation trance producers who build slowly his reputation and on this occasion he does something magnificent. He offers a totally different view to the original as he moves on the proglifting trance path with pumping bouncy techy grooves and highly energetic basslines while on top the original melody remain intact to drive the track forward. His very cool breakdown is soothing and slowly builds anticipation towards the full on euphoric hair raising climax that will move big crowds for sure. It sounds very classy and retro with modern twist. Two top remixes to keep the trance family happy! #PureGold Love iT

Dimitri Kechagias review: Discover records is on great shape with fantastic releases so far. One of the hottest releases is the brand new remixes on Thomas Datt anthem Here and Now featuring the talented Ben Heyworth. First of all Damian Wasse offers his electro proglifting trance version with chunky grooves, electro freaked out basslines, strong emotional melodies and the awesome high class indie rock sounding vocals by Ben who really shines on this track. Peter Hulsman remix is the perfect Ibiza Trance example with superb arrangement that keep the juices flowing and the body floating with great rhythm and irresistible groove that hook you with hands in the air during its whole duration. Sun kissed synths, subliminal melodies and superb floating climax guarantee your satisfaction. Peter proves that he is very able to handle vocals and make the best out of them. XGenic remix is a brilliant full on uplifting feel good trancer with excellent application of vocals and plenty of unstoppable energy and adrenaline charging synths and in your face driving basslines. X Genic Uplifting remix is pretty similar with his first remix with the main difference that he applies different set of synths in the breakdown with huge blast of uplifting euphoria and much different synthy tone in the climax as well. The package contains the top dub mixes for the less vocal trance followers. #PureGold Love IT
