‘Is It Beautiful?’, which fuses classic and modern trance elements, drops ahead of the pair’s debut back-to-back set at A State of Trance Festival.

Trance pioneer Armin van Buuren and Ben Hemsley, a leading figure in the modern trance movement, have released their highly anticipated debut collaboration: ‘Is It Beautiful?’ featuring iconic trance vocalist Lucy Pullin. Written during a live streamed session in 2024, the track culminates a growing creative partnership between the two frontrunners and their shared passion for pushing trance music forward.

Doubling as the official anthem for A State of Trance Rotterdam 2025—a yearly tradition since 2010, releasing around the time of each annual A State of Trance event in February—‘Is It Beautiful?’ captures this year’s event’s Transformation theme, which celebrates innovation and evolution within the genre. The track features a melodic, nostalgia-inducing production layered with Lucy Pullin’s emotive vocals, creating a powerful and anthemic listening experience. Following a teaser appearance on the ‘A State of Trance Year Mix 2024’ mix album, the full release has already generated excitement among fans.

Trance champion Ben Hemsley announces new event series ‘Intimacy’

Arena-filling DJ to play stripped-back gigs at small clubs

Famed for spearheading the UK/Europe trance revolution, and for selling out huge venues in minutes, DJ/Producer/Bebé label boss Ben Hemsley gets back to basics and gives something back with his special new event series ‘Intimacy’. 




Announcing the first three parties in Sub Club Glasgow, Secret Warehouse Manchester and Cabaret Voltaire Edinburgh in late February/early March (more TBA), the Geordie lad vows to return to his roots by playing a selection of stripped-back shows at small venues ‘for all the proper music heads out there’ while showing support to such beloved small clubs and their vital role in music culture, especially in these post-pandemic times. In the lead up to the shows, we get an early Valentine with Hemsley’s collab single with Armin Van Buuren out 13th Feb, ‘Is It Beautiful’ (Armin Van Buuren x Ben Hemsley Ft Lucy Pullin) on Armada.

About Ferry Corsten

Hailing from Rotterdam, The Netherlands, Ferry Corsten’s illustrious career is exemplified by a passion for music that began as a hobby and spiralled into a full-blown profession, as he continues to push the boundaries of trance music as much today as much as he did in his fledgling career. This is highlighted by his latest project UNITY, a concept launched in 2018 that will see Ferry collaborate with iconic trance acts throughout the year with the vision of uniting the Trance community for a bigger cause. Ferry has partnered with VH1’s Save The Music Foundation, an organisation formed to reinstate music programs for children, which has helped 2,100 schools to date.

Inspired by early exposure to his mother’s passion for 90’s dance music, Ben’s originality has turned the heads of some of the biggest names in the scene such as Patrick Topping, Calvin Harris, Tiesto, Fatboy Slim, Eli Brown, blk., Deborah De Luca, DJ Daddy Trance, Denis Sulta, Green Velvet & Fisher, to name a few.

His tantalising skills as a producer came to light in 2021 with hits like 'Through 2 You', 'Bebe Musica', & 'Love, Peace & Harmony', not to mention his fan-favorite 2022 release 'Erase Me'. Ben became the pinup boy for BBC Radio 1. Accolades include a nomination for Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the Radio 1 Dance Awards, a Dance Anthems Hottest Record in the World, Playlist additions, multiple tracks of the week & more.

Not just a talent producer, Ben also decided to create and launch his own label Bebé, with the aim of creating a space to delve deeper into his influences and become a tastemaker carving out his own scene and shining a light on up-and-coming, like-minded artists.
