Melancholy stalwart Scorpius returns to the label to continue his impressive string of releases, 'Humanity' provides further evidence that Scorpius is an ever-present figure in the land of the progressive. 'Humanity' offers Scorpius trademark ear for beautifully progressive sounds featuring an impressive breakdown alongside warm pads. Yet another stand-out release from the Scorpius. Release include remixes from Brazig and Grafter.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Melancholy records strike it lucky with the high class release by Scorpius called Humanity. The original mix is supported by two alternative remixes. The original mix is a big room mainstage trancer on the style championed by Armin van Buuren. The groove is thumping and slamming, the electroish bassline is wild and furious while the breakdown includes one of the most epic orchestral classical music melody that creates that cinematic atmosphere followed by great mixture of dubstep and melodramatic classical music originated elements along with opera influenced vocals followed by massive distorted rave style synthy lead until to reach the climax that is dynamic, stereo cranking and full on with epic euphoric synths and  huge classical originated strings that sound perfect in the middle of the dancefloor at the mainstage of large festivals. Brazig remix  has similar sound to the original with long breakdown that takes a while to develop and without hurry allows the exceptional epic themes to take flesh and bones. The climax is powerful and euphoric as we loved it to be. Lastly Grafter remix is moving on the warm deep melodic progressive trance sound that is floating and blissful with luscious electronic melodies, epic colourful synths and fantastic new theme in the breakdown characterised from the emotional piano melody followed by the full on euphoric climax with synthy stabs and confident playful warm grooves. #PureGold Love It

Dimitri Kechagias review: Melancholy records from Russia continues to impress with its well chosen productions.Ashai enters our dj sets with the fantastic modern neo progressive trancer Interstellar Spacecraft. The beats are groovy, the bassline sharp and aggressive while the breakdown is brilliant with classical music references followed by the massive rave style euphoric uplifting synthy lead that will be welcomed warmly in any prog trance dj set. Moving, emotional and powerful to the max are some of the words that can describe this very super strong track. The UK based Rich Triphonic, resident at 1mix radio, does his best to impress. It's first time that I check Rich Triphonic production and I'm deeply impressed from his exceptional talent. Melancholy presents new producer from Australia: Barzek, and his debut on Melancholy Records, with release 'Dee Why'. Is an exceptional deep melodic progressive house meets trance track that will be the favourite for those who like producers like Glenn Morrison. Brilliant work from Barzek with support from Paul Van Dyk. Also, release include amazing remixes from Martin Cloud and AlexZideyn.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The very strong Russian record label Melancholy records presents the fantastic track Dee Why by the Australian producer Barzek. We deal here with a very emotional melodic progressive trancer with groovy housey beats, electro infused basslines and most importantly with jaw dropping breakdown that starts with understated piano melody, warm strings and brilliant original guitar melody that reminds me tracks like Mystery Land by Y-Traxx. It will bring salty taste in your tongue and memories of summer holidays for sure. Martin Cloud from Russia transforms the original into his own very unique deep mesmerising progressive trance version with cool breakdown without the guitar melody and with very nice melodic climax that is quite low profile and works well for the first hour of your dj set. AlexZideyn Remix transforms the original into the powerful dynamic energetic and pumping version with tough drums, pulsating basslines, chopped vocal samples, warm strings, luscious melodies, euphoric synths and great application of the guitar melody that seems to work perfectly on faster BPM's as well. This remix retains the summer breeze of the original and can be used as great track to finish your set with and leave nice taste in the mouth of your listeners. Great package with quality music content, Love iT
