Post-Tomorrowland the internet has been alive with reactions to the gargantuan showcase set that Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike brought to proceedings at this year’s 180,000 capacity festival extravaganza set in the town of Boom, Belgium. Reaffirming their title as Kings of Tomorrowland, the brothers wrapped up the show with the most watched set across the entire weekend’s events! One of the standout highlights of this seismic set was their closing section, a classic vinyl only set that was an homage to the music, the records, the artists and the scene that ignited their passion for electronic music during their formative years as clubbers, and later DJs and producers in their own right. In the words of Like Mike himself “this is the sound that got us into DJing”.

Featuring music from a cluster of iconic Dutch and Belgian artists the includes Marco Bailey, Jones & Stephenson and Speedy J, the brothers brought a surprise ending to the festival’s proceedings with a retro style set that rippled across the iconic Tomorrowland Valley. The performance consisted of all their usual showmanship, and as is ever the case with the Kings of Tomorrowland’s closing set, a show much about unity! Fans at the festival, as well as those tuning in from countries such as Japan, Mexico, Germany, Colombia and South Africa via the Tomorrowland UNITE, all embraced to a musical showcase that was enveloped by the most impressive stage production the Tomorrowland team have produced to date!

Wrapping up their classic vinyl set with one of the most iconic trance records of all-time from legendary Belgian producer Push’s ‘Universal Nation’, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike took the People of Tomorrowland on a nostalgic musical journey that showcased some of the records that not only changed their lives, but captured the mind and body of clubbers the world over. Lost Frequencies did it again. After previously topping the Belgian charts with worldwide hit singles ‘Are You With Me’ and ‘Reality’ (feat. Janieck Devy), his third single ‘Beautiful Life’ managed to grab the #1 spot as well. This means that Lost Frequencies has become the first Belgian artist ever to top the Belgian charts with his first three singles.

Lost Frequencies, born Felix de Laet, released ‘Beautiful Life’ on Amsterdam-based record label Armada Music a little over two months ago. The song was made in collaboration with Swedish singer-songwriter Sandro Cavazza and counts as the first new single of the Belgian prodigy’s forthcoming album. ‘Beautiful Life’ was also used in the official aftermovie of Tomorrowland Brazil 2016, where Lost Frequencies took the stage as well.

So far, Lost Frequencies’ previous singles earned him a host of accolades and awards. ‘Are You With Me’ and ‘Reality’ were each awarded with certified gold, platinum and multi-platinum and have streams running in the hundreds of millions, counting up to over a billion streams in total for both records combined. ‘Beautiful Life’ has already garnered over 15 million streams on Spotify alone.

ABOUT DAVE CLARKE
He may be known as The Baron Of Techno, a moniker given to him by renowned BBC Radio DJ / journalist John Peel, but Dave Clarke has an anarchist streak a mile wide and punk in his soul, having no truck with establishment figures or authoritarianism.

A hard working purist, forward thinking futurist, technology geek, part Gothic and gadget lover who embraced the digital revolution in an early stage while his peers where still sniffing the smell of vinyl, a format he hasn’t used professionally in eleven years. It’s unsurprising he revels in the libertarianism of the World Wide Web. It gives symmetry to his savvy techno vision.

As a talented DJ and producer Dave Clarke will continue his newfound love for making music, gather air miles by the gallon and preach his vision on techno both on the decks and on the radio, whilst never forgetting the long and bumpy journey he had to undertake to get where he is now: on top of the game, respected by both fans and peers and very much relevant in today’s scene. “He might be established, but he will never be establishment”. http://www.daveclarke.com/

Two years ago, the term Daybreak Sessions was created by Tomorrowland for the 10-year anniversary edition of festival. The concept highlights the rich musical palette offered at Tomorrowland and is an inspiring way to make the transition from the quiet magic as the doors open to the pure energy (Madness) that breaks loose in the evenings on the MainStage. This year, Tomorrowland will be releasing its first Daybreak Sessions compilation.

Musical journey
During the Daybreak Sessions, a headliner gets the opportunity to create a 3-hour DJ set of his or her favourite deep and tech-house, starting when the first visitors make their way into the valley until the MainStage area fills up three hours later. This musical journey is a way for festival-goers to discover that these artists have much more to offer than what they’re best known for, and the artists themselves are hugely enthusiastic about the chance to do something completely different. Clichés are shattered, artists get to spread their wings and the audience is invited on a journey in an unforgettable, magical setting.

Artists
Eric Prydz, Nick van de Wall (Afrojack), Martin Solveig, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Markus Schulz and AN21 & Max Vangeli, have all performed in recent editions. This year, it will be up to Ferry Corsten, Laidback Luke and Fedde Le Grand to open the Tomorrowland MainStage.

Compilation
On the brand-new double compilation album, you'll find names such as Adriatique, Butch, Cubicolor, Damian Lazarus, &ME, Sons Of Maria, Ripperton, Joseph Capriati, Parra For Cuva and many more.

Straight from the heart of Tomorrowland, a selection of artists and their musical projects were chosen to let listeners fully experience the warm sound and atmosphere of the Daybreak Sessions. This double CD also includes a healthy dose of sun, to instantly boost your mood.

Music is one of the most important parts of Tomorrowland. Last year, the festival started a collaboration with the Belgian National Orchestra. With this compilation, Tomorrowland offers a taste of its multifaceted, colourful spirit and now, it's time to let the summer begin at last.

Trailblazing their home country with 3 gargantuan shows, the current World #1 DJ’s Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike brought their biggest and boldest concept to date to the city of Antwerp during the 3rd weekend of December. Now fans that wish to relive this momentous spectacle once more, or for those fans who were unable to attend the weekend’s proceedings, the Belgian brothers are releasing the full 2.5 hour show in high definition on YouTube.

Completing 3 sold-out nights at the Sportpaleis Arena with their new production ‘Bringing The Madness 3.0’, and with fans flying in from all over the world, the brothers delivered an audio and visual feast in front of 60,000 illuminated and buzzing music lovers throughout the entire weekend’s proceedings.  An enormous triumph by any musical artist’s standard, especially considering the vigorous way fans snapped up the initial run of 40,000 tickets in under 40 minutes – a feat previously seen only from the likes of iconic artists U2, Madonna, Coldplay and Beyoncé – encouraging the brothers to add an additional 3rd date to the run of shows and increase the total ticket volume for the opening weekend to an eye-popping 60,000 capacity.

Across the 3-day run of shows some of music’s biggest names made surprise appearances to join the Belgium’s biggest DJ's on stage. From the undeniable stardom of EDM’s power punching Afrojack to the global flag-bearer of the entire trance movement Armin Van Buuren, and the tangible musical prowess of Grammy-Award Winning ‘Higher Place’ collaborator Ne-Yo, each evening was packed with an array of surprises that kept all of the 60,000 firmly fixated on the nights expectations. Alongside the impressive line-up of headline acts, the launch weekend of the ‘Bringing The Madness 3.0’ world ensured that both atmosphere and energy levels were ever high and peaking with the unveiling of the new mainstage show and set!

Following on from the release of the livestream video of their 2014 sold-out ‘Bringing Home The Madness’ concert, which to date has received over 25 million YouTube views, this year’s livestream video gives fans an opportunity to witness the impressive stage production from the team behind Tomorrowland, feast in the special ‘back to their roots’ all-vinyl set by Dimitri Vegas and experience the coming together of some of dance music’s biggest stars for exclusive b2b performances.

Even when surrounded by over 400 kilograms of confetti and 55 tonnes of CO2, it seems dance music’s biggest DJ’s still know how to raise the bar and further that, well and truly cement the notion that their 2016 show ‘Bringing The Madness 3.0’ is a must see for the year ahead.

With recent news that their Ne-Yo collaboration ‘Higher Place’ just topped the Billboard Dance Club chart holding the #1 spot, as well as receiving more than 15 million Spotify streams and over 10 million YouTube views, the duo will now head to the U.S. for the first quarter of 2016 to complete work on their debut artist album.
