[item value="10"]MRPHLNDR - Freakin High [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] MRHPLNDR's "Freakin High" embarks on an audacious sonic journey, diverging from his prior chart-toppers to explore the depths of acid house with a fresh, invigorating twist. At the heart of this track lies a dominant acid line, meticulously crafted using a classic Roland TB-303 synthesizer. Its squelchy, resonant filter sweeps interplay seamlessly with the crisp, hypnotic 124 BPM rhythm, paying homage to the raw energy of Chicago's old-school acid house scene. The production process showcases Alex M.O.R.P.H.'s prowess under his MRHPLNDR alias, where he experiments with layering techniques to create a rich, textured soundscape. The track’s bassline pulsates with analog warmth, achieved through subtle distortion and precise EQ adjustments, enhancing its gritty, underground vibe. Complementing this is a series of old-school vocal whispers, processed with reverb and delay to produce an ethereal, almost haunting atmosphere that contrasts beautifully with the track's raw acid elements. The drum programming leans heavily on vintage drum machine samples, reminiscent of the Roland TR-808 and TR-909, delivering punchy kicks and snappy snares that drive the groove forward. The percussive elements are thoughtfully automated, with dynamic shifts in filter resonance and modulation to maintain listener engagement throughout the track. "Freakin High" also features a provocative, explicit vocal sample, strategically chopped and looped to accentuate the track’s rebellious edge. Its naughty flair works harmoniously with the hypnotic acid lines, encapsulating the euphoric, unrestrained feeling the track aims to evoke. In essence, "Freakin High" is not just another acid house track; it’s a masterclass in blending traditional production techniques with modern flair. MRHPLNDR’s meticulous attention to detail and fearless experimentation culminate in a track that’s both nostalgic and forward-thinking—an absolute treat for acid house aficionados. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

[item value="10"]Matt Fax - Axis/Sequence[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Matt Fax, a rising star in the French music scene, is a true pioneer of progressive music. His latest EP on Armin van Buuren’s Armind label showcases his ability to blend progressive elements with danceable and club-friendly rhythms. The two tracks on the EP, “Axis” and “Sequence,” are prime examples of Fax’s signature sound. “Axis” is a bouncy, big progressive stomper with a slightly funky groove, pulsating basslines, thumping kicks, and elastic drums. Distorted vocal samples and melodramatic futuristic distorted synths add to the track’s energy and excitement. After a short breakdown, the big acid layers are unleashed to hypnotize the dancefloor, building tension and anticipation until the main break arrives. The build-up is thrilling, with a sense of impending doom and release. The drop is furiously energetic, featuring acid layers, melodies, distorted vocals, and futuristic melodic techno influences. A dark, moody atmosphere envelops the track, creating an intense and immersive experience. “Sequence” is an energetic and anthemic track with a super addictive melody that gradually builds anticipation. After a long breakdown, the track bursts open into a massive climax that uplifts the spirit and keeps the hands high. It’s one of those tracks that grabs your attention from the very first note and warms your ears with its infectious energy. Overall, Matt Fax’s latest EP is a must-listen for fans of progressive music. It showcases his talent for blending complex rhythms with danceable melodies, creating tracks that are both intellectually stimulating and emotionally satisfying. #PureGold Love iT [/content]

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Paul van Dyk x Phuture x DJ Pierre collaboration Acid Traxxx is released on VANDIT Alternative and we must say how impressed we are about this great collaboration between these two electronic music heroes. Pulsating basslines, punchy kicks thumping techy drums and relentless drive pushes the track forward while on top acid squeaky synthy layers create the hypnotic atmosphere that will send the listener to the outer space. The airy pads and the great arrangement keeps the listener attached to the track till its final seconds. It has the lithargic cathartic power of trance with acid house references providing an excellent moment of triumph for both artists involved in this very impressive and risky projects that seems to be for the benefit of the artists and the listeners who search for infectious involving moody acid track to get lost into the groove and rhythm of it! #PureGold Love IT[/content]

New State Music has announced the release of an era-defining retrospective celebrating the summers of 1988 & 1989 and the birth of the cultural movement known as ‘acid house’.

Summer Of Love is a 3CD mix album of the biggest acid house, rave and Balearic classics curated and mixed by three of the genres’ most high profile and historically documented DJs, Paul Oakenfold, Nancy Noise and Colin Hudd.

The collection features game-changing records famously associated with the DJs seminal respective club brands Spectrum, The Land of Oz and Future including key tracks by house originators Frankie Knuckles, Marshall Jefferson, Phuture, Fingers Inc and the No.1 single from Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley, ‘Jack Your Body’.

The album also features UK top 10s from 808 State ‘Pacific State’, Men Without Hats ‘Safety Dance’ & top 20s from it’s Immaterial, The Art of Noise, Bizzare Inc, Orbital, The Jungle Brothers, Stretch & Stacker Humanoid. Plus the credible underground club hits that made up the scene and scene favourites by bands The Cure, The Residents, Thrashing Doves and Yello.

During the summer of 1988 and 1989, a new cultural movement (known culturally as Second Summer of Love) was borne out of a desire to dance to the uplifting house sound of Chicago as enjoyed on the buzzing Balearic club scene of Ibiza, where a new type of all-night party lifestyle had been met with enthusiasm by UK clubbers. Upon their return to the UK, a new style of raving emanated from the underground club scenes of London and Manchester known as acid house, creating a mania referred to as the Summer of Love. The fervent demand to dance to electronic music spread like wildfire across the fields and disused warehouses of the UK, Europe and beyond, metamorphasising into the global rave scene enjoyed today.

Paul Oakenfold needs little introduction, he’s the man widely recognised as the protagonist of what we now know as acid house and the rave scene, and an internationally acclaimed DJ, producer, remixer and film soundtrack composer.

Paul kicks it all off on CD1 bringing the sound of Spectrum, the infamous acid house party at Heaven, mixing up classics from the likes of Frankie Knuckles, Marshall Jefferson, 808 State and Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley alongside more esoteric tracks form Sueno Latino, The Residents and even 80s ‘wild child’ Mandy Smith.

Colin Hudd is the legendary London Soul, Funk and Boogie DJ who was one of the first DJs in the UK to start playing US ‘House’ music and influenced a raft of DJs thereafter.

CD2 presents the sound of The Land Of Oz, also held at the nightclub Heaven in London, featuring an equally ecstatic blend of acid house & rave classics that takes in anthems from Quartz, Rhythim Is Rhythim, Bizarre Inc, Orbital, Joe Smooth and CeCe Rogers, together with a healthy side of ‘hip house’ from the Jungle Brothers, Fast Eddie and Jungle Crew.

Nancy Noise was probably the first female DJ to really make a name for herself and break down the doors of the formerly boys only club of DJing with her own distinct sound.

Nancy recreates her authentic Ibiza style DJ set on CD3 with the sound of Future, best described as a cool & breezy Balearic mix that captures the essence of Ibiza, bottles it and brings it back to the UK 88 / 89 style… The mix includes sublime moments from The Cure, Art Of Noise, Shakatak, Men Without Hats, Yello and more eclectic cuts from It’s Immaterial, Thrashing Doves and Stretch.

New State Music has set out to capture the essence of those heady days that sent shockwaves through UK society and still resonates in 2018, by releasing ‘Summer Of Love’ an album celebrating the 30th Anniversary of acid house, on Friday 27th July 2018.

Positiva continue their series of 25th Anniversary remixes by revisiting one of the biggest acts from the early days of the label, Reel 2 Real.

‘I Like To Move It’, ‘Go On Move’ and ‘Can You Feel It’ had already established Erick Morillo and The Mad Stuntman as one of the biggest new acts in 1994 - and then came ‘Raise Your Hands’. Originally starting life as ‘Asuca’ by R.A.W. (another Morillo alias on the legendary Strictly Rhythm label), the addition of The Mad Stuntman’s unmistakable vocals helped give them their 4th top 15 hit of the year.

The update comes courtesy of UK producer Shadow Child, no stranger to chart success himself.
“I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one,” added Shadow Child, who also debuts his Acidub edit as part of the record’s release. “That infectious riff has been going round in my head since I originally heard it and it is such a honour to get to make 2 versions!”
Having sound-tracked an array of nights over the last 25 years, the Shadow Child edit follows Positiva’s recent panel at International Music Summit, where Jason Ellis, A&R director of the label, spoke to the gathered crowd at Ibiza’s Hard Rock Hotel about the label’s history & success.

To celebrate 25 years since its inception, the label will spend 2018 showcasing their back-catalogue with a series of one-off parties and special releases from both the present day and yesteryear with Positiva also hosting a virtual exhibition, giving fans the opportunity to delve deeper into the rich history of the label via the Shazam code below.

Shadow Child’s 2018 update is available from Friday 22nd June!

Fanatico are Mathias Schaffhäuser and Jorge Socarrás, and each brings a long, distinctive musical history to their collaboration. Fanatico’s debut album Dancing Daze (Yellow Tail, 2013) received critical praise as much for their fresh electronic takes on iconic rock/pop covers, as for Fanatico’s own highly original tracks and the subsequent remixes.

With their recent recording session in Barcelona, Fanatico goes further into their exploration of sound, rhythm and melody with a fresh array of electronica from dance-oriented to eclectic. The EP single Take It All (BluFin) includes compelling remixes by Matthias Vogt. Next in line is the Spanish version of Tessio, one of the most popular songs from the first album, with remixes by And.id. and Toni Rios. Following this, expect an album of all the new Barcelona recordings, featuring El Gustoso – a hot, Afro-Cuban dance track that is truly Fanatico!

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Fanatico is definitely one of the most surprising projects that always manage to cause waves in the electronic music world like their decision to record their single Tessio in Spanish. The single is released on Cologne's finest techno label Blu Fin. The original mix is a magnificent hypnotic deep tech house production with tribalish chunky grooves, deep dark driving basslines, piano chords, synthy riffs, natural sounds and great atmosphere that sounds like a film soundtrack waiting to be discovered with certain trancy sensibility. Jorge vocals are so unique that stand out easily from all the  voices you usually here and his performance will leave a stamp on you for sure. And.Id remix is deep dark haunting tech house with plenty of acid layers that recall the sound of Hardfloor. Great atmosphere with warm cinematic strings while  here and there some vocal snippets are used to decorate the very impressive moody result with addition of  some mild synths and gentle piano chords.Toni Rios applies old school early 90's metallic raw basslines, chunky wobbly groove and the full vocal while on the breakdown he adds the distorted dark synthy riff that sounds quite spacey and ravey too. Lastly the club mix takes the track in a total different territory from the original as the pulsating  basslines, crunchy techy grooves, swirling synths and superb vintage early 90's elements along with dark synths while from the vocal includes certain phrases only that are playfully manipulated to create the impressive 9 minutes epic result. #PureGold PureClass Love It [/content]

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Indiana Tones push the boundaries to the limits and their newest release by Stonez & Vanilla Ace is an excellent example of modern deep electronic house with nu disco/indie dance and acid house influences. Hypnotic and spacey with strong vocal samples and special atmosphere. Nytron and Luthier remix adopts a tougher punchy metallic bassline and dark haunting synths along with the acid overtones while the vocals kept to their minimum. Two future classics in one pacakge. Bodhi’s latest release follows last year’s inaugural Howler EP with another resilient acid-house inspired anthem Step It Back. On the flip side comes the equally powerful Time Warp, taking the tempo up another notch with atmospheric keys that recall the rave-era’s late 80s heyday.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Both tracks by Bodhi manage to re-create that futuristic early 90's acid rave house atmosphere with raw metallic basslines, pounding techy drums, old school vocal samples and that feeling of being produced in an analogue without the perfection of the digital technology. Underground house anthems to keep the house nation moving forward ever backward never. Love it [/content]

Leeds based Joe Cowie, aka Kahwe, announced himself in style early in 2013 with his acclaimed “Driving Me Wild EP” on Anjunadeep, and the last 12 months have seen him DJing across Europe, alongside the likes of Steve Bug, Move D, Kevin Saunderson and Paul Woolford.

The “Sit Back EP” marks his return to Anjunadeep, with another impressive three tracker, full of warm, organic grooves and dusty shuffling percussion.

Title track “Sit Back” is a fine example of Joe’s style, meshing laid back melodies and rolling dance floor grooves together into an infectious slice of retro-tinged house music.

B-side “Deeper Love” ups the tempo, winding a mesmeric vocal sample around yet more nonchalant melodies, and lazy crackling percussion, all topped off with just the right dose of acid impetus.

From sunset grooves through to late night anthem, “601” rounds things off in style and showcases Kahwe’s skilful knack for variety. Built around a mournful vocal loop and a surging acid bassline, it’s a compelling, almost epic piece of house music that rises to a muted crescendo full of echoing bells and skipping drums.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The eclectic deep house record label Anjunadeep is about to have the biggest success with Lane 8 and the vocal version of Every Night. Now the top record labels presents another superb new name that is slowly rising to the top and becomes well known worldwide. Kahwe from Leeds in UK presents his 3 tracks deep house EP that is destined to become one of your favourites for the summer of 2014. If you love the smooth, warm, sexy deep house sounds you are going to fell in love with every single track of this very precious EP. First of all is the fantastic Sit Back. It's an emotional deep house journey with 90's old school influences and futuristic approach as well. Packed with danceable irresistible feel good rhythm, soulful house vocal samples that warm your senses and fantastic romantic organ riffs from the early rave days. The track contains the Ibiza sound that is carefree, dreamy, relaxing and make you feel at home on any dancefloor worldwide. Deeper Love starts with the well known vocal sample stretched down to sound slower, bouncy techy grooves, deep haunting basslines, warm strings and very summery synthy melodies. The result is a very rich haunting moody soundscape that moves in and out of deep house, tech house, UK garage and balearic house. Hypnotic vibes to carry your mind and soul to many places instantly. Last but not least 601 is another example of the big talent that is Kahwe. Its pounding tech house smasher with acid layers, vocal samples, chunky techy groove and energetic bassline that will rock any deep dancefloor for sure. With more experimental underground stance and more techno in your face meets melodic deep house influences the result is extremely impressive and will be specially appealing to those who love it dark and sleazy! 3 excellent productions that advance one step further the deep house revival! #PureGold Love iT

3. Full Intention – Let Me Be feat. Robert Owens (Andre Crom & Chi Thanh Remix)

If you have been following our label for a while, you should know by now that we have put together a great number of very exciting collaboration teams all in the sake of creativity and talent combinations. In this new offering, we are proud to bring back on board house music UK legends Full Intention, who not so long ago graced us with an oustanding EP that left us craving for more.

Of course we are more than amazed to learn that the title track had one of the most familiar and beloved voices in House Music, Robert Owens, the man behind so many hits that we would need a whole encyclopaedia to list, who lends his vocal talent to "Let Me Be", a piano house killer with a swingy groove and an amazing flow to it, a true summer weapon.

"Nobody Knows feat. Keithen Carter" works as b-side but its also an impressive dancefloor track building over a great piano lick and a driving bassline, indeed another winner.

Our local heroes André Crom and Chi-Thanh put their own acid touch to "Let Me Be" turning it into a late night monster keeping the vocal essence alive while adding another level of intensity to it...

Dimitri Kechagias review: Off recordings serves high quality deep house gems that are highly regarded and much respected in the house scene worldwide. On the top label from Berlin comes the magnificent UK duo Full Intention with their magnificent collaboration with the beloved singer Robert Owens called Let Me Be. The original mix has that pure deep house vibe that takes back in the early 90's days. The track has the warmth of analogue sound and is composed from very basic elements with straight forward arrangement that is of course very danceable with great hypnotic rhythm and groove that reaches the next level as a result of the fantastic Robert Owens soulful vocals. Second top track is the magical deep house beauty  Nobody Knows featuring the spoken vocals by Keithen Carter. The old school piano hooks, deep funky bassline and bouncy grooves work like a treat to transfer the listener to a sunny summery holiday destination and offer him an unforgettable sonic experience. Eargasmic sexy house music to spread love to the world. On Let Me Be, the unbeatable  Andre Crom & Chi Thanh provide the current deep house sound that is deeper, more minimal and moody with chunky grooves, deep pulsating basslines and acid layers to keep it underground. Of course Robert Owens soulful vocals shine and offer high quality values to the final outcome.#PureGold Love iT

The Tomorrowland resident and highly in demand Belgian dj Yves collaborates with the Dirty Dutch  leader Chuckie  for the amazing Oldschool Sound. With 2011's Blue Songs running the gamut from full-blown disco and jacking house to the more experimental, Hercules & Love Affair’s new album ‘The Feast Of The Broken Heart’ sees another musical reinvention from ringmaster Andy Butler - delivered by an impeccable new line up.

The ever-revolving collective led house music’s resurgence with club anthem ‘Blind’ in 2008 (Pitchfork’s record of the year), and 2014’s line up is another roll call of exceptionally talented vocalists. BRITS nominee John Grant’s ability for translating hardship into elegance is writ large on ‘I Try To Talk To You’ and ‘Liberty’;  Rouge Mary, whose deep, spiritual voice is hewn from a gospel education; Belgian singer Gustaph whose counter tenor takes lead on the single ‘Do You Feel The Same?’ and smoky voiced virtuoso Krystle Warren, who was introduced to Butler by Grant, and sings the provocative ‘My Offence’.

Andy Butler comments: “I wanted nasty basslines, stormy, bleary-eyed sounds, fiery, rough, tough and ragged old school house productions that sounded almost techno. I didn’t want polite, I wanted aggressive.”

This aesthetic coupled with tales of emotional triumph makes for something tough yet soulful. Meaningful house music that IS pop music and can speak to the most musically adroit of tastes.

Kicking off proceedings is the dancefloor single ‘Do You Feel The Same?’, a jacking pop anthem released 14th April, with B-sides ‘Raid’ (a late night dancefloor banger replete with sirens) and ‘Working Miracles’ (a sample led journey into the more experimental side of Hercules & Love Affair).

‘The Feast Of The Broken Heart’ is co-produced by Ha-Ze Factory and industrial stalwart Mark Pistel and released on Moshi Moshi on May 26th.

One of dance music’s finest live acts Hercules & Love Affair are set to announce a full run of European dates, summer shows and festivals.

Hercules And Love Affair LIVE:
12.05.14 Stuttgart, Wagenhallen
13.05.14 Köln, Club Bahnhof Ehrenfeld
14.05.14 Berlin, Gretchen
15.05.14 Leipzig, Conne Island

Dimitri Kechagias review:  Hercules & Love Affair single Do You Feel The Same is a brilliant acid house early 90's style track that has of course great melodies, harmonies and perfect sing a long lyrics with exceptional singers that touch you deep and make you wonder if this music is better than the overproduced tracks. It's simple, emotional and feel good record perfect for the summer holidays. Andy Butler dub remix is old school 90's house meets techno track with old school pianos, cool organ riffs and great groove that hook you instantly. If you want less vocals this dub mix is for you. Deetron remix is the brilliant underground techno version that djs like Sven Vath can play and erupt the floor. Hypnotic, moody, spacey and absolutely magical mouthwatering production that stands out and recall 90's raves! Derrick Carter goes for the classic house sound with tribal grooves, bouncy funky basslines, chopped vocals and excellent rhythm that will ignite any house floor easily. Dinamo Azary remix applies preaching style vocals upon the early 90's sounds with chunky grooves, funky basslines and plenty of acid drops. Its great track with very strong remixes without doubts. Love it

Koolwaters Recordings ‘Drop’ another House bomb as we welcome yet another stylish straight up house debut from London based, Norwegian native Thomas Amundsen.

Already carving a name for himself in the scene Thomas has already had multiple releases and gleamed support from some big names, plus played at some top venues such as The Egg and The White House in the UK!

‘Drop’ is a chunky, funky hypnotic house banger with a deep groove driven bassline capable of teasing any dancefloor into submission! Laden with left field vocal and fx samples and amply backed by dark swirling synth fx this production has a freshly unique sound, which stands out amongst the deep house monotony!

Dimitri Kechagias review: The truly international record label Koolwaters opens its doors to Thomas Amundsen with the superb Drop. It can be identified as eclectic deep tech house stormer that will attract the attention of many dj /educators who will include without second thought in their sets. What you can easily notice is that Thomas decided to go straight to the underground and despite from being from Norway he comes up with something really British acid house sounding track. It is cooked with basic ingredients like acid layers, chunky house grooves, deep haunting basslines, distorted vocal samples and some synths as well. Its very basic in its inception and for that reason wins your attention straight away. It sounds like being produced with analogue equipment and less with computer software. It has this great warmth, sleaziness and dirtiness that any good house record should include. House its not catwalk music, it's retro futuristic tech house with creativity and artistic flair! #PureClass Love It

When this one dropped in the office for the first time, it literally lifted us all as it played for the first time.. a cool shuffling groove and a hook line that just builds and builds as subtle new layers weave their way in.

The first remix is from Sterbai, who takes the track down a darker warehouse vibe, with throbbing groove and a dirty acid topline easing its way through the mix for maximum hypnotic effect!

Robbie Fithon works his magic around the main melody lines and synth hooks but using a deeper more minimal groove... and then finally FrameON gives us his Nude Disco Cosmic mix, with its 70s groove and trippy disco synths swaying all over the place.. bouncy lovely and perfect for the summer!

Dimitri Kechagias review: The legendary progressive house label Baroque records presents always the most outstanding cuts from great upcoming and established artists from around the globe. The latest on comes from the Russian FrameON and is called Aquarium. We deal here with an exquisite deep melodic progressive house track that easily can become part of deep trance sets as well as it definitely has that hypnotic melodic edge that can elevate your senses to a higher plane thanks to the way he composes his sound layers and the initial dreamy state and warmth that radiates. Sterbai acid groove remix is old school prog house smasher with chunky beats, deep moody bass and acid overtones to keep things low and underground. Robbie Fithon strips down the track and goes for the more minimal deep atmospheric melodic with acid elements version that has a nice retro Detroit sound. FrameON lastly presents a totally different version from the original called Nude Disco Cosmic mix. Its very moody deep prog meets disco house meets electronica version that is focused on the nice melodies and colourful soundtextures with the 70's Giorgio Moroder style groove and acid overtones. Quality package from the very first kick to the last beat! Love iT

1. Zoo Brazil Remix
2. Original Mix
3. Blapps Posse Remix
4. Blapps Posse Instrumental

Hey 2014, '88 called - they want their frequency back!!

Well, too bad! They ain’t getting it anytime soon because with ‘The Sound’, those incorrigible, irrepressible Freestylers have performed an extreme dawn-of-house-music hijack!

Having already locked down an ironclad club conqueror with January’s drum&bass-fest 'Falling', Aston Harvey & Matt Cantor are back to the frontlines in the blink of an eye. Joining the ranks for this ’88 channeling ride is none other than the legendary Acid housemaster himself, Fast Eddie, who fires up with 'The Sound' with his infectious microphone ministrations.

With its acid turning, burning and generally thundering (pushing those PH levels through the roof), the Original Mix of ‘The Sound’ has Freestylers firing the late Eighties sound through the 2014 prism. With future-shocking M1 piano lines, super-hard claps, 808 drum rolls and more tweakin’, peakin’, speaker-freakin’ 303 than is conventionally healthy, they prep the stage for Fast Eddie. With the hip-house master in full lyrical flow, collectively they pull off the one big sonic Jack-attack!

Reverends of Rave and Mad Masters of break-core, respected early 90’s outfit Blapps Posse (AKA the ‘Stylers own Aston Harvey & Jason Carter from Ninja Tunes’ Mad Doctor X & London Funk) serve the first of the mixes.

Less throwback/all throw-down, they fast-forward (or rewind depending on how you look at it) ‘The Sound’ to '92. Sweeping, chest bursting rave chords, subby bass, MC vox drops (sampling their own underground classic ‘Bus' It - Its Time To Get Bzy’) and the filthiest, dirtiest, wickedest breaks heard in years all conspire across a pair of killer mixes.

Getting every bit as much into the spirit, Sweden’s Zoo Brazil drops a classically themed deep house groove under ‘The Sound’. Keeping the acid on a slow rolling churn, (think Mr. Fingers ‘Washing Machine cut, kitted and retrofitted with 2014 technology & techniques), know you’ve never heard something so deep sound quite so uplifting!

Dimitri Kechagias review:  One of the most successful and happening record label at Black Hole recordings family is the brilliant Rub A Duck that focuses on what we widely term define as Bass music. One of the biggest success story for the label was to sign the legendary The Freestylers for the album The Coming Storm. One of the hottest tracks on this inspirational album is The Sound featuring the superb Fast Eddie. The track is paying homage to the acid house of the early 90's when the revolution started and young people particularly in Europe and countries like UK or The Netherlands and Belgium got the future of their music in their own hands and they start to produce what we now call as acid house. The Sound is an excellent track that carries that romanticism and nostalgia for those unforgettable years. It sound dirty, sleazy, underground and hypnotic with Fast Eddie on vocal duties who sounds very 80s. Its actually very cool that recreate that MC style vocals rather than sampling them from an older record. On remix responsibilities is the beloved producer Zoo Brazil. We loved his album and mix compilations on Magik Muzik and now the uber talented Swedish magician delivers his deep tech house alternative percussion with great drum programming, deep basslines and acid overtones to keep it hypnotic. The fantastic old school vocals are present as well and will definitely make you feel like being in the 90's. The remix package is now complete with the funky breaks early 90's rave infused Blapps Posse remix. Their version is so energetic and powerful with heavy acid overtones, chunky beats and vavooming basslines combined with 4 to 4 sequences and old school piano chords. Let's remind ourselves how was music before the coming of harder sounds and big drops! Love IT
