Fanatico are Mathias Schaffhäuser and Jorge Socarrás, and each brings a long, distinctive musical history to their collaboration. Fanatico’s debut album Dancing Daze (Yellow Tail, 2013) received critical praise as much for their fresh electronic takes on iconic rock/pop covers, as for Fanatico’s own highly original tracks and the subsequent remixes.
With their recent recording session in Barcelona, Fanatico goes further into their exploration of sound, rhythm and melody with a fresh array of electronica from dance-oriented to eclectic. The EP single Take It All (BluFin) includes compelling remixes by Matthias Vogt. Next in line is the Spanish version of Tessio, one of the most popular songs from the first album, with remixes by And.id. and Toni Rios. Following this, expect an album of all the new Barcelona recordings, featuring El Gustoso – a hot, Afro-Cuban dance track that is truly Fanatico!

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Fanatico is definitely one of the most surprising projects that always manage to cause waves in the electronic music world like their decision to record their single Tessio in Spanish. The single is released on Cologne's finest techno label Blu Fin. The original mix is a magnificent hypnotic deep tech house production with tribalish chunky grooves, deep dark driving basslines, piano chords, synthy riffs, natural sounds and great atmosphere that sounds like a film soundtrack waiting to be discovered with certain trancy sensibility. Jorge vocals are so unique that stand out easily from all the voices you usually here and his performance will leave a stamp on you for sure. And.Id remix is deep dark haunting tech house with plenty of acid layers that recall the sound of Hardfloor. Great atmosphere with warm cinematic strings while here and there some vocal snippets are used to decorate the very impressive moody result with addition of some mild synths and gentle piano chords.Toni Rios applies old school early 90's metallic raw basslines, chunky wobbly groove and the full vocal while on the breakdown he adds the distorted dark synthy riff that sounds quite spacey and ravey too. Lastly the club mix takes the track in a total different territory from the original as the pulsating basslines, crunchy techy grooves, swirling synths and superb vintage early 90's elements along with dark synths while from the vocal includes certain phrases only that are playfully manipulated to create the impressive 9 minutes epic result. #PureGold PureClass Love It [/content]
